Higher priced product placed in marked bins. Sales clerk laughs when customers are tricked. Absolutely no refunds. Avoid this place at all cost.
No regard for customers money. I frequent the (wonderful) nail salon next to this scammy little liquor store, had an appointment this evening, and realized I had no cash for a tip. I knew there was an ATM in the liquor store, so I went in with the intent of getting a 20, and then buying a shooter to get small bills as change. I enter the store, the woman behind the counter is not wearing a mask and makes no attempt to put one on. I get my cash, then go up to the shooter section and see little Crown Royals - sign says $1.59. I take two of them to the counter, she rings me up, I hand her my 20, she gives me $11 change. I ask for a receipt because that doesnt seem quite right. She does not attempt to give me a receipt. She laughs at me a little for thinking the crown royal shooters were $1.59, because if you look at the tag thats posted on the basket *full entirely of crown royal* (so theyre not misshelved) it says Captain Morgan. Sure, yes, i say, but then why is the whole basket full of crown royal with no visible price on it? I stand there looking for anything that says crown royal to see if theres any way that the price is posted. I dont see it. She continues laughing at me for thinking that was the price. A large sign says absolutely no refunds. She has made no attempt to put on a mask at any point. I return to the ATM to get more cash for my tip, saying over my shoulder you might want to post the price of those so people can see how much they are before buying them. She says but its obviously for the Captain Morgan. No Captain Morgan is located in the basket in question. Yes, I clearly erred in not reading the written product on the price tag and only looking at the number. But I think its thoroughly scammy to put a wildly different priced product in a bin with the wrong tag, make no attempt to change the tag, make no attempt to even apologize to a customer who makes it clear that they bought it under the assumption that the tag was correct, refuses to wear a mask despite it literally being the law in this area, and makes no attempt to fix the price tag after the error was clearly pointed out. Furthermore, I see quite a lot of reviews now that Im looking which involve change being given incorrectly and other scammy behavior. Id highly recommend going somewhere else for your liquor if you value your money and your good mood.
I walked in, lady greets me by saying, “banks are very greedy... very very greedy. Especially Bank of America and Chase bank you know.”I agree and smile.$27 bottle of bourbon is unmarked on the shelf, I ask how much, she offers to scan it, scans it and tells me, “50 dollars”.Whoa, almost double retail?I said, you probably shouldn’t be talking about how greedy the banks are if you’re selling for 2x retail. She told me to go shop somewhere else.Well, duh 😳Awful. I very rarely leave reviews, but Discount Liquors is a special kind of terrible. Steer clear of this place.
Family owned business that’s wonderful. Read a few comments on here that are not true. They do accept cards, so not sure what that’s about. Kelly is an honest person and would never be dishonest about taking money; if that was the case, why not say something at the time? Anyways, just here to put a wet blanket on the fire, they are wonderful people. Definitely will continue giving my time and money to this business!
Doors are locked even when it’s open. Extremely inconvenient, rude staff, nothing good to say about this place.
Do not pay in cash. I gave the woman a 50 and she gave me change for a 20 on a small purchase under $10. It was the only money I had. I asked the woman about it the next week when I was back in there area and she told me to call the phone that they do not answer. She also told me that she is good at math..
Unfortunately we all make mistakes, and at discount liquors we are always willing to correct them. AT discount, you can find everything you need. From alcohol to first aid, and everything in between, for a great evening out. I was a long time customer and now am an employee and the place is very genuine with alot of loyal daily customers. (:
Kelly, the owner, is very nice and helpful.
Always so friendly!😏
I stopped in at Discount Liquors on a Saturday night to pick up a gift for a friend. I should have checked closer but I was in a hurry. The clerk rang up the purchase, i signed the receipt and didnt notice that I had been overcharged by about $5. Its not the end of the world but it definetly made this a place I wouldnt return to or recommend to anyone els.
Employee pretended to count back my change correctly and would not fix their mistake. Terrible liar, the place gives you disgusting chills.
You have to pay cash for everything no Cards accepted
Disgusting behavior from the female maneger.
