This review is specifically for the Office Depot in Algonquin IL and specifically for SCOTT (Sales Manager). We met him twice while shopping for office furniture and he was extremely helpful. We were looking for an office chair and had tons of questions and probably tried every single chair in the place. When they didnt have the first chair we wanted in stock in the color we wanted, Scott was patient and found a creative solution. I work in retail and I know people rarely give great reviews. THANK YOU SCOTT for being a bright spot in this crazy time were living in. We appreciated your time and exceptional customer service!

We went in there a couple days ago looking for an office chair and some last minute school supplies. The store was busy and they had just gotten a shipment in, so all employees were occupied. We found a chair we liked but no new in box option. We asked, and we were offered the floor model. We accepted. We were looking for a calculator that apparently everyone else was looking for too, as there were none on the shelf. We called it a loss and went to check out. Our cashier was the store manager, I believe his name was Scott. We thanked him again for allowing us to take the floor model chair and brought up the fact that we were not able to find the calculator. He said that it was a popular item this year, remembered that they had just gotten a shipment in, and offered to go check in the back. He came back a few minutes later with the calculator! Even though they were super busy, he still took the extra couple minutes to look for an item for us in the back. Thank you for your great customer service!

I worked with Zondra in the print department to create a 16x20 photo of my dad for his memorial. She is a wizard with her photoshop program, providing great suggestions and removing unwanted random hands to create a flawless product I never could have imagined. The final product was just perfect. Thanks Zondra!

I took my family here on a busy Saturday in order to tie up some loose ends with school supplies. The manager Scott was fantastic. Great patience and kindness in a stressful environment with multiple customers needing special assistance. Will definitely be back.

The reviews for this business are quite confusing - so many bad reviews along with so many complete opposite 5-stars!My experience has been very good at this location. Purchased office chairs and monitors at great prices. The monitor selection/pricing was better here than many other places we looked at - including Amazon and computer stores. Staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable.

The staff is really helpful here. The store has plenty of selection for pretty much anything you need for your office. Its often pretty empty in here, so getting in and out is quick. The prices are comparable to other stores and its even better if you can find a coupon online. They also have joined the rewards club bandwagon so make sure you sign up for that.

Tons of great office supplies! Kind of expensive but I’m still new to buying office supplies. Perhaps I’ll have a better idea of typical prices later but for now I thought they were high. Still learning. Will post an update later.

Terrible delivery, Horrible Customer Service Stay Away. They do NOT care about there customers, unwilling to help with item that was received damaged and notified about it the same day. Was told to go to local store to purchase and bring home myself, apparently they do not understand that you had an item delivered for a reason. DO NOT RECOMMEND ANY PURCHASES FROM ANY OFFICE DEPOT/MAX

Good store with everything that you need for an office. The store is well organized, except for the customer service area (which is with the photo center and doesnt have any sign for customers to know that its also for customer service). The employees werent the best or very helpful at all; I bought a computer for a family member which I had called about an hour earlier before I arrived to be sure they had it. When I got there, the two cashiers were just finished ringing customers while we were waiting in line and both didnt bother asking us what we needed help with and instead, they started having a social hour.There were 5 people in the photo center, 2 of them were helping out customers while 1 was helping a new employee, another was working and the last employees was just leaning back on the counter doing nothing. It took a good 15 minutes to get help because another employee(seemed like the manager on duty) who came from the back of the store asked if there was anything we needed, and had gotten us the laptop from the back. They offered me a 2 year protection plan with a description of what it was and I kindly declined the offer, but they continued to offer it to me like it was a must-need plan otherwise my computer wont work the way it should. I still kindly declined and they let it be until we finished the purchase. Before I started heading out of the store and away from the desk, they offered me the plan AGAIN, and wouldnt leave me alone about it which made me a bit angry. If the store were to improve, Id highly recommend training the employees better and be customer friendly

I was ignored by 3 different employees before having to chase one halfway around the store. After not having an item in stock (no big deal) they wanted to ship it to my house. Item arrived 4 days later and was the wrong item. They sent me a cheaper product and then took another 3 days to pick it back up.Their service line wanted me to buy the item TWICE, without receiving the correct item the first time or a refund on the first purchase (This purchase was $300+). I then had to wait for a refund on the first item for two weeks. this entire store is a crap shoot. I will not be doing business with Office Depot again. they are TERRIBLE.Devin was the only good experience i had with this store. I hope she finds a better career soon.

Salesman, Alex was so very helpful, capable, willing and patient with my brother David and I when we were making a decision on the selection of a new computer and then learned that you didnt have it in stock and then learned that we had to go to another location to get one as we needed to get it done. We proceeded to Algonquin and picked it up. The new Lenovo is being set up as I type. Thank you so much for your help and support.
