The people there were very knowledgeable, super welcoming and overall a great experience. They got the job done the same day and contacted me to let me know the phone was finished. Great prices and overall great people. Highly recommend this place for any type of phone screen repairs.

They should call this store you break it, I break it even more. I DO NOT recommend bringing your electronics to UBREAKIFIX. Due to an incident at work, the glass corner of my iMac was shattered so we brought it to the Algonquin location for a screen replacement. After first pickup, the screen installation appeared to have no issues but fan was very loud and overworking itself. I bring it back, they tell me that maybe it needs more thermal paste because they dont touch the inside when doing a screen replacement (I knew this was wrong because this computer is only 1yr old). I get a call for the second pickup and I am told that it did not need thermal paste and that the technician had failed to connect the fan sensor properly. My boss picked it up on a Sunday and when I walked into the office Monday morning, the screen was hanging off only attached by some wires. They did not put additional adhesive after pulling the screen off to check the fan. Because of this, I had to be as careful as I could to put the screen back onto the computer until the store opened and this ended up cracking that same corner. I brought it back for a third time to be worked on and finally had more adhesive added so the screen wouldnt fall off. Because they did not directly crack the corner, they of course quoted me for an additional $300 or so (on top of the $525 I payed for the screen replacement) to fix the corner that cracked due to their carelessness. In the end, the corner of my screen is still cracked, I have glue residue on the computer where it shouldnt be, additional marks on the aluminum under the screen from having to remove the screen 2 times in addition to wasting my time, money, and energy. Due to their policies and warranties, none of this will get me any sort of refund. Customer service was no help and so far for the 2 chargebacks I did, the CC company sided with UBREAKIFIX. I would have been better off keeping the original damage before bringing the computer there. Do more research and bring your electronics elsewhere to get the job done right the first time.

I had my Xbox Elite series 2 controller’s joysticks replaced due to a drop which caused drift and sticking. The repair was $60 which is way better than a new controller. I was quoted two weeks for receiving the parts and the repair but it did end up taking a few days over that.Overall they were professional and worth the cost just wish it didn’t take that long, but hey I couldn’t have fixed it myself!

So I brought my iPhone 11 here because of a cracked screen. Made a claim with AT&T they told me to bring it to this store to be fixed. Everything went smoothly, staff was nice, it was done promptly and when I picked up my phone I was happy. Till about an hour later, my FaceID no longer works and my speaker (ear piece) sounds like someone is underwater trying to talk to you!Both of those worked perfectly before I dropped it off. So I called and explained the situation and was basically told that there is no way to prove that it wasn’t broken before and it wasn’t their problem. If I wanted it fixed I had to pay for it!After reading reviews this seems to be a common problem with people who bring in Insurance Claim work.

Had a broken iPad screen so I took it in and they said it would take 5-7 business days and I still haven’t gotten it back even after almost TWO MONTHS. This is because when I called them the other day, they had broke the screen along with all touch functionality (this was not an issue before). I usually don’t get too mad over annoyances with businesses but this is absolutely outrageous. Please look for another repair shop that is not this.

I brought in a laptop with a broken screen to see if they could fix it. Within 5 minutes or so they had looked up the part and advised it would be over $400. They advised me to just buy a new laptop, which I agreed with. Theyre honest and are not ripping anyone off.

What a great experience. I booked an appointment online. Before the appointment a tech called out to me to discuss the issue with my phone. He checked to ensure they had all parts needed before I came in (they did). When I went in I was greeted by another tech who was friendly and welcoming. She took a look at my home and identified that I had lint in my charging port. She cleaned it out, checked, and fixed the issue. She did this free of charge and just wished me well. The free service was nice, but the great customer service was what made this company deserve their 5 star review.

Went in for a screen repair, when I got my phone back there was a bubble under the screen, I went back and they said the screen was defective and replaced it, A day after I noticed the bottom speaker not working and the new screen broke and they refuse to do anything, I don’t even care about the broken screen I just wanted my speakers fixed

I was having issues charging my phone and brought it in to be repaired. They checked the phone, cleaned out the debris that was restricting the USB from plugging in all the way (hence causing the issue of not charging). Had another technician verify it was clear and working properly. No Charge for the service!!! Very nice, professional, and courteous. Definitely recommend using them!

I brought my girlfriends Pixel 3a in for a screen replacement and got it back with a messed up front facing camera (all pictures look hazy and over exposed).I brought it back in after calling to be fixed but Quinn Downs tried denying multiple times that the camera was not normal until he finally pulled out one of the same phones and compared the two.He then confirmed that is was not as it should be. He still told us that since it was not tested on drop off he will not fix it (We have a receipt showing the phone was tested) unless we paid nearly 80 dollars for a new camera. Keep in mind we were only asking them to clean the inside of the glass.I have had a very similar issue with a screen replacement at a different phone repair store and they ended up buying 3 screens trying to correct their issue before I asked for a partial refund. They gave it to me and I walked away. As mad as that made me that I was left with a disfunctional phone they had at least attempted to fix the mistake.The treatment from uBreakiFix is not acceptable an I expect an apology.I attached pictures of the camera where you can clearly see some kind of dust or smudge on the inside of the glass that is nowhere to be seen on my factory sealed screen. Id be happy to remove or change this review if they had a change of heart.Edit: I cant seem to get the pictures to attach of the receipt and the phone

The technician, Matt, was helpful, professional, and very friendly! I walked in with a poor charging port thinking I would need it replaced and fixed. He cleaned it out and told me the “dos and donts” to prevent and maintain a charging port. When I asked how much, he said free of charge. I left feeling taken care of and happy. They fixed my PC in the past and made it seem brand new. I would recommend them to friends and family. I’ll be using them for any tech issues in the future.

I showed up at The scheduled time to drop off my phone to get it fixed on literally the only few hours I had available to do so and after giving my deposit earlier in the week, gave the nice guy up front my info for him to disappear into the back of the store for several minutes only to come back after about 10, to say they dont have the part they ordered... (or forgot to order) basically I missed half a days work to not get anything accomplished... a phone call would have been nice especially with having an appointment... nice enough people but bad experience ... end rant

My daughter shattered her IPhone 6S recently and of course I decided to get it fixed. Called the gentlemen at UBreak and they said it should take about an hour to fix and I can drop it off anytime. Sure enough by the time I got there it turned into a 3 hour wait Before the phone would be ready and I was perfectly fine with that. Called me in an hour and a half and said it was ready. My cellphone screen was badly cracked after I dropped it. It had fractures all over the screen and I cut my finger on the broken glass as I tried to use the phone. I was all set to pay for an expensive replacement, as I need my phone. When I walked into uBreakiFix, the young man at the counter took a look at my phone and said, Your screen isnt broken, its the protective glass cover thats cracked. Thats what its supposed to do. So, if youll let me, Ill just take it off and show you. Two seconds later, right before my eyes, I had a beautiful, perfect screen... minus the fractured protective glass cover! I truly appreciate their kindness and honesty. I easily could have been talked into a needless, expensive repair. Instead, he didnt even charge me for his help! Had a phone I dropped in water and they did diagnostics and dried it out.

Got a screen protector put on and shortly after the corners started coming off. even the screen protector fell apart. When I called back to see if there was a warranty it is only for 90 days. If i would have known i was spending $40.00 + dollars for 90 days i would not have done it. Live and learn the hard way. Arbitrary decisions to warranty or not on behalf of asurion.. definitely were more interested in collecting the full charge rather than working with the available warranty coverages.Update1) if you read the responses from the business all negative reviews get the same answer.2) I escalated all the way to the manager on duty at the time of the scheduled appointment. They didnt offer to review further upon disassembly. The answer I was provided was simple although there is no indication of damage, the issue can often be caused by damage. So it likely customer responsibility3) I already had a claim approved by asurion, which I explained several times... I was given the choice of sending it in for replacement, or local repair. Because I wanted a more timely repair, I chose local and this was the outcome.4) I ended up sending it in for warranty replacement by asurion which the repair was covered upon return and processing through the mail in service.

They did a good job on my phone. But the timing was way off. They said 3 hrs come back. I come back they said another half hr ok I live 45 min away so Im sitting in the parking lot I go back in after the half hr and they said we dont know how much longer try back in an hr. So I sat in that parking lot because they didnt get to mine even tho I had an apartment not a walk in

Bad customer service!! They kept my laptop, recycled it possibly made money out of it and never, ar least never kept my hard drive, who knows who else knows about my hard drive information. I was in the hospital possibly got a call from them but they did not even care to Leave a voice mail. ( i checkt it, no message found).

Took sons laptop in to get a new battery put in, never got a callback and after 6 weeks I went in to find that they were going to put a 3rd party battery in Dell computer. Long story short, got it home and it didnt work...got refund and went across street to Geek Squad where they did it quickly, cheaper, and with correct battery.

Didnt even continue with the service after arriving at the store location. I made an appt online to get my back phone cover repaired bc its cracked. It took two guys at the front desk to try and register my phone to the system, and proceeded to tell me that they needed some info about my phones warranty and that the system is not letting them add me. they said theyd call me in a few hours once they got the confirmation about warranty from whoever they contacted about it. Never called me. these guys had no idea what they were doing and I am glad I didnt leave my phone with them. Extremely unprofessional.

Just bought a HP Envy laptop and plugged in a USB Headset and it took out the internal audio and microphone. Was able to get the audio restored but could not get the microphone to work. Worked a couple of days with HP but was unable to resolve the problem Went to UBreakIFix in Algonquin and in a matter of 10 minutes they had the driver problem resolved at no cost! I will never go to this place again. Took my Mac book in for a new battery and they said it would take a week to come in. The day before it was supposed to come in, I get a call asking for my laptop information so they can order the battery. On top of that, they charged me FOUR times instead of one. When they finally replaced the battery, it didnt even work. When I asked for a refund, they charged me TWO more times instead of refunding me. Now I have to wait up to two weeks for the refund of over $300 to come. This place is a huge joke and I would never trust them with ANYTHING ever again.

I called yesterday and they told me to bring it in today. Quinn and Kevin were very professional and responsive to resolving my problem with my iphone. In less than 3 hours it was done, thank you!

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! A SCAM!!I brought my iPhone in for a simple screen replacement. The phone was fairly new and in perfect condition except for the screen. They replaced the screen and I picked it up, only for me to find that the home button wasn’t working. I brought it back and they said I would have to pay for the button to be fixed. They said there was no way for them to know it wasn’t broken before hand. The kicker is, the paperwork THEY filled out and had me sign upon drop off said “phone is in perfect working condition with cosmetic damage to the screen”... THEIR WORDS. Their response when this was pointed out was to say “well we didn’t actually test it beforehand so how are we supposed to know the button wasn’t already broken?”. That is the only response they gave me despite all the complaints I had with them. I am LIVID. This place is A SCAM. They stole my money and my phone is now nonfunctional instead of just cosmetically damaged. More like uBreakiBreakMore.I have no trust in this place to fix anything. Give me a refund and I will take this review down. 😡😡😡

I was very pleased with Patrick on several accounts! I called for an estimate I thought the phone was a 7 so got that price, but it was a 6. They told me a much better price!Then suggested a screen saver and he would install for 50% off!He said it would take one hour and it was almost exactly that! Very friendly staff! I brought my Macbook Pro Retina in to get the battery replaced.My laptop was perfectly functional (aside from the battery) before bringing it here to get the battery replaced. When I went to use my laptop for the first time after getting it back, I found the following:1. One of my speakers no longer had audio output2. The bluetooth no longer works at all - will not not discover any devices3. My headphone jack doesnt work at all now either4. The trackpad is misaligned and sunken in more?The people here were nice enough when we brought it in. Unfortunately, I wasnt able to take it back to get these things fixed during their 90 day window. This has been a huge inconvenience.

They did it again. They fixed another phone that I thought my kid had turned into a paperweight. To begin with, the screen looked like it was used for some sort of target practice. It was shattered and pieces of glass were actually missing. Most recently, while my teen was doing some dishes, yes it is hard to believe, the phone “jumped” in the sink to take a spontaneous bath. She has no clue how it happened. My guess would be that she can’t seem to put the damn thing down for than 30 seconds at a time but I digress. We brought this seemingly now worthless paperweight to the store. After having it for 2 days, they called and said it’s ready to be picked up. It was fully functional. All for $129. This is the second time I have used the Algonquin location and both times they were great. Very honest with great prices. Thanks again.

Very poor customer service. I waited for 10+ minutes while others were being helped which in itself doesn’t bother me. But what does bother me is I was never once acknowledged, no one greeted or spoke to me or let me know the wait time . I asked how much longer and I was told sarcastically ‘only 1 more minute’ And I replied “I’ve been waiting for ten minutes, I don’t think asking how much longer it might be is out of line”Turns out they can’t help me repair my phone and instead sent me to a dealer, the employee did not make any effort to smile, apologize for the wait or seem to have any understanding how customer service works, in fact I would call it rude. Scared to drop my phone off at a non branded shop, but let me tell you. Kevin at the algonquin store has now fixed 2 old turbo 2s and how the warranty repair for a bad earpiece on my samsung s10 flawlessly. They are contracted for samsung, google, and others for a reason. Very talented.

I broke my work phone and really did not feel like telling my boss and going through exchanging it with my work. They were able to get me in and out in a few hours and its like brand new again. What a relief that was!

Ive literally been to this location 10 times dropping off and picking up the same ipod that they have yet to fix. They have changed the battery 3 times. Clearly this isnt fixing the problem. Nobody listens. I seem to get someone new each time and the communication is poor. First time they attempted to fix it they told me it would be ready later that day. I show up 3 days later to pick it up and it isnt ready. A simple call or text would have been nice. The last time it took a week longer then the date listed on the receipt to get any info but again no update. They just took my money and wasted my time. Thought Id try them since its closer then the Apple Store. Looks like Ill still have to go to the Apple Store. 90 day warranty doesnt do any good if you never fix the problem. Dont need a 4th unnecessary battery change and more time and money wasted.UPDATE: I contacted the number from their response. Complete waste of time. All they did was contact the owner who told them to tell me to bring it back AGAIN and they cant give me a refund because they dont have my original battery to give back to me. How many times does it take.? Should of fixed it right the first time. Worst customer service ever.

I went in today to have my charger port fixed because it would only charge at a certain angle. I tried cleaning it myself with no luck. I gave patrick my phone and he tried cleaning it and got it to work again. He saved me allot of money. Very nice employees and fast service, i highly recomend

My dad jammed something into the charger port of his iPhone. I took it in and they fixed it in seconds and refused to charge me for such a simple repair. The other nameless cell phone repair place in town is closer to me but never seems to be open when I need them. uBreakiFix will be the place I go from now on and would recommend everyone to do the same. Nothing can replace good customer service.

Was going to bring in a phone to get the screen repaired. I received a call asking what type a screen I had. I told the gentleman numerous times I have the stock screen that came with the phone and that I don’t know what he meant. He went on and asked another two times the same question. He then says okay we’ll just see when you come in but then asked again what color the screen was after I already told him I’m not sure.They lost money before I even attended the appointment. Horrible communication. I will be reporting it to Samsung as well.

I brought my phone in for a battery change out. Turns out that was not the issue, it was probably the motherboard. Edgard OCampo, Manager, was friendly and polite. They did a diagnostic of the phone and did not charge me a cent. I highly recommend them if you need a battery change, screen fix, etc. :)

Brought in computers for diagnostics and when I communicated I wouldnt be able to afford their services and asked they put them back together, they left the keyboard slightly open and the screen was separating at the top. Very rude. They should not be doing free diagnostics if they cannot handle a no.

Worst experience ever.Within 2 months, I needed my screen replaced 3 times. My phone barely dropped and the whole screen shattered, as well as me losing touch sensation on my phone for a whole 2 days (until I got the screen fixed elsewhere. Walked into this place to see what they can do, since it was the 3rd time it shaddered with them & they were offering me 10%... the OWNER offered me 10%, having absolutely no sympothy knowing I already invested $200 with them beforehand with a failed glass. Very disappointed, considering this place has great ratings. Would not recommend. I ended up going to Cell Phone Repair depot, where they understood my issue completely & gave me 20% off and use a higher grade screen (A+ vs A) I repeat, do not give this company your money.
