Andy was Wonderful and even though we were out of town when we ordered carpeting and vinyl, he was able to work with us remotely. He made it possible for us to have the installation happen just when we needed it. We are VERY pleased! Both the carpet and the vinyl are beautiful. This experience made us realize how good it is to work with local companies...and not big box companies.

We purchased Mohawk flooring through Flooring America. It was Pergo Extreme and was installed in April of 2020. We noticed within a week or so that some of the seams were popping and you could feel the edges and seams in those places.We called Flooring America and they came back out around June, pulled up the floor, replaced some of the flooring and putting everything back together. We noticed the same problem again. A claim was started with Mohawk Flooring and after many emails and phone calls, an inspector came out in October. More phone calls and emails and finally the week between Christmas and New Year’s new material was brought out and the floor was reworked again.We noticed problems immediately, but decided to live with it and planned on replacing the flooring in about 5 years or so with a different product.Unfortunately, as more time went by, more seams started popping and when walking on the floor without shoes it became clear that something needed to be done.May of 2021 I reached about again to Mohawk and Flooring America and was told by the Mohawk rep that a new claim was started. It’s almost August and I’ve sent multiple emails but nothing’s been done.

We were very pleased how prompt and helpful Ron was in helping re-carpet my rental. He knew to bring good quality and durable product to show me that would meet my needs. Made the decision making that much easier.... and it looks great and well done too

We are so in love with our new flooring. The installation involved lots of crazy angle cuts, not to mention the removal and reinstallation of our quarter-round. All was done with great care and wonderful craftsmanship by the installer and in just 2-1/2 days. Best of all it is standing up to our two Jack Russells, especially the one that practically goes surfing everytime he get a drink of water. We know where we will be going for our future flooring needs, right back here. Thank you for everything. We will post photos as soon as our kitchen is complete.

While the salesman Ron was nice, and the carpet was a good quality, and not sure if price was good because it was first time I had carpet installed but it stayed within my budget, the installers werent that great. Hopefully they can find new installers soon as that would be considered a huge part of this process. Again, purchasing and financing great, customer service from Ron great, quick to come out and measure, but poor service with installers.

Beware, we were not happy at all with our experience and would never recommend buying from this company. Ron was very difficult getting in touch with and never returned emails or phone calls after he made the initial sale,which should have been a red flag. He also told us we were buying “Premium” padding (which he said he installed at his home too), I would challenge that all day long. Our padding has hard lumps that you can feel when walking on our BRAND new carpet. The padding is defective and not premium by any standards and Rons lack of concern to resolve this issue is just wrong. Save yourself time, money and aggravation and avoid this store. Please look over all the other reviews and you will see a trend here...stay away.

We worked with Ron at Flooring America to find carpeting for our new home. I would recommend him to anyone looking for flooring. He was knowledgeable about the products and made us feel like were valued customers. He was able to help us find the perfect color and durability for our needs and made sure the carpet would be in stock and installed when we need it. Ron also followed up after the install to make sure we were happy with the way everything turned out. We will definitely be visiting Ron for future projects.

Went to Ron when my local Flooring America closed down. My basement flooded and he was quick to come out, and quick to get the new carpet installed. Really happy with how everything turned out. When I need to replace some of my other rooms Ill be going back to his store.

Before you buy from Flooring America, and if you want to take any samples, make sure you are confident you will buy them there. Ron had a fit when I picked out a sample that we liked and told him Efloors were cheaper....I kindley asked if he would match their prices and Id be happy to buy from him instead! He shook his head at me and said, no...you dont realize I have people to pay who work here, and you shouldnt have used my samples either. Im sorry RON, but people are on a budget. And I wasnt expecting such a rude response when I kindly asked about price matching. His response made me feel like this isnt the first time hes been asked to price match. Sorry Flooring America, but out of 9 companies I price compared, you cost the most! I would never recommend this business to anyone. Buy from someone who respects your budget.

I was having difficulty finding affordable carpet for three rooms. My daughter drives by Flooring America on her way to/from work. She suggested giving them a try.When I met Ron, I explained that other carpet places keep showing me polyester carpeting because it fits my budget needs, but was wary of it. He told me that polyester is not like the old polyester, sent me home with some samples, and scheduled to come out to measure. When he came out to measure, I told him I like the colors of polyester, but I dont like what I read about them, and my mom purchased a polyester a year ago, and it is already showing flattening and wear. I told him I was open to a Berber or something different in the den, but the two bedrooms had to be nylon. He said he would go back and see what he could find in nylon within my budget.To my surprise, a day or so later, he called me and said he found a nylon carpet that would work with my budget, and he had a remanent of a Berber for my office I might like. So I went to see what he found, and the color of the nylon carpet was perfect. The remanent had a pattern that I liked, and color worked perfectly. That remanent was the lifesaver that allowed me to stay within my budget to purchase the nylon carpeting.Thanks, Ron, for thinking outside the box and finding the perfect solution. Im pleased with my purchase and experience from Flooring America.

Stopped in the Flooring America Store Algonquin, Il. to purchase flooring. I made my purchase on A Tuesday at about 11 am not a big purchase but that doesnt matter here. The next day with in a 24 hour period I had cancelled my order we decided to go in a different direction...Here is the kicker they charged us 35% for restocking, would not recommend this business to anyone.Saturday 5 days later still waiting for refund......I have too say it took 5 minutes to take my money now waiting on my partial refund. What a joke !!!!

I ordered flooring from Ron and needed to cancel almost immediately. Not only was he unprofessional about it, he stated there would be a $35 measure fee. After several phone calls and over a weeks time, I finally got my refund, however he charged me $45 for the measure fee. Ive called and emailed Ron several times with no response. I have 4 rental properties plus my primary residence and he will never get a penny of my money for any of them. I cannot work with childish people. Very unprofessional!!!

I met Ron Toepper recently at a Networking event. We struck up a conversation. I immediately liked the guy. I stopped by the store in Algonquin and was impressed in the variety of flooring types and styles.We had fun talking about different hard woods, tiles and carpets. We settled on carpet, picked out a color and style. Ron was out personally within a few days to measure. He was thorough and took time to ask questions, answer questions and explain the installation process. The installers arrived promptly at 8 am and the job was complete before 1130.The installers were polite, cleaned up and hauled everything away.I highly recommend you visit Ron Toepper at Flooring America in Algonquin when you need any type of fllooring for your home or business. Great selection, great service, competitive pricing.
