Stopped by to get home accessories. Amber, the only visible employee in the store ignored the fact that I was waiting to be serviced.After standing behind the customer she was helping for over 10 minutes she asked if I needed assistance (why else would I have merchandise in my hand and by in line) I informed her that I was ready to check out. She informed that she would see if there was an available associate. Really? She couldn’t do it earlier. 😠So someone else helped me out. I paid and as I was walking out the store I spotted another item that I was interested. With 4 shopping bags in hand I saw Amber again and asked if she could give me the price on that item. She informed she was busy with another customer. I consider that ignorant and possibly discriminatory! Keep in mind I was the only minority in the entire store. I am definitely not shopping at this location again!Why would I assumed that, let’s just say that her conversation with the customer in front of me in line seemed irritated that Amber was asking her how far did she have to drive the this store. If she had recently moved, how many kids does she have? Really.... I understand small talk, but when you have customers waiting for service, i think you can do without small talk .
Small store but way better than online shopping
Wife had just purchased a dining room table, and she was on a quest for a specific looking chair. After shopping at a few stores, my wife came across the chair style she wanted. Amber was great. The chair in the store was in a finish that was not a match. Amber realized match in color/finish was very important, She recommended that we could order one or two sample squares (4 x 4) from Pottery Barn so we could put them against our new table. Amber provided us an estimate/quote so if it worked out, all we would need to do is call her to complete the order. A few days later, the sample square arrived, the match was perfect. We called Amber that day and the order was placed. The chairs arrived and were packaged well, the finish matched the sample we previously received. Thank you Amber. The chairs arrived way earlier than estimated.
Picked up some great sale items with our rewards dollars before they expire next week!
Edit: it might be a better idea to speak with the store manager instead of hiding behind a post and getting friends to complain on here. Slanderous.I was in the store during the previous reviewers visit on google, right behind her actually. The reason I checked Google was because she stated she was going to do a review.1. This store has a diverse team of a variety of races whom I have worked with and had do my design services or Help me pick out furniture.2. The store was busy, and the time that Amber was at the register helping the person, she was indeed making small talk while she was dealing with what seemed like a complicated transaction.3. People need to just chill the eff out. If a store is busy, be patient and wait. This is a first world problem here. Jeeeeezus.4. For this one problem customer, really, you are posting about race. This store has a Hispanic manager, men, women, multiple sexualities, and a rainbow of races there. That is one thing I love about shopping here!My husband and I love this store and the people who work there, and will not let someone play a race card because they wanted to cut in front of other people. I was patient, waited and was treated respectfully, as always.

Use to be one of my favorite stores. The staff is still very helpful, however the product selection is no longer exciting. Also the prices are high.
I absolutely love the service and staff at this location. As a man walking into a home store it is sometimes daunting to figure out what I need for each room of my house and the team here has been great and helping me pick out the perfect furniture and accessories for my home.
Awful service from Amber, I am so disappointed with the service at this store. I had signed up for an event and Amber didnt seem to have a clue on what I was asking for. Trying to get help from the staff here is pointless. Every employee seems to walk around like they have something stuck up their head. And the diversity of employees is non-existent. Not sure what the woman who claims that there is rainbow of people here is referring to. Wont be signing up for an event here. Funny how Im not the only one to complaint about the same employee on the same day.

Customer Service???? The location in Algonquin moves mountains to help a customer whereas the Deer Park location builds and hides behind them. Save money, time and stress - give your business to the stores that want it and work hard to keep it.
