Bought a used Sonata in early 2020 for my son and I had a very nice experience until this month when we took it in for an oil change and they advised us that it was leaking oil and needed $2500 in repairs to fix. We ended up taking it to a local garage in Huntley (JDM) and they replaced the oil switch for $244 and cleaned up the engine and found no other issues. Sad to say I will not be taking my car back there and I was planning on buying another car there in less than a year for my other son and possibly a new one for myself but my trust has been lost after this.
Recently purchased a 2022 Palisade for my son and daughter-in-law. They live in Chicago and I dealt remotely with Rosen salesman, Mike Becker. He couldnt have been nicer and set them up with a test drive. They loved the car. Their finance manager, Yaseen, explained all of the documents in detail and I able to sign all the paperwork including financing remotely. They drove away with the car that day. Wonderful experience. Mike Becker was able to do 2 things I could not get from multiple other Hyundai dealers. #1, he was able to find the car I want in the trim I want. #2, the price he quoted me was accurate when I actually went in to finalize the deal. Several other dealers quoted me a price, and then after trying to finalize the deal, they raised the price at the last minute after much wasted time. Mike honored the price and terms he negotiated with me.

My wife and I went Rosen Hyundai, Algonquin, looking for Santa FE SEL, equipped with the convenience package. The sales floor was busy, the sales managers ask us if he could help. I told him what we were looking for and he quickly arranged a test drive in a new Santa FE. When returned salesman Ron Turner found a 2021 Santa FE with the package I wanted. We took another demonstration ride, by ourselves, with out sales along. Ron and the sales manager quickly put together a deal I could accept. On delivery Ron found a paint flaw on the rear door and arranged an appointment to the body shop and loaner. We met the finance manager to complete the deal, another enjoyable experience. We were then pleasantly surprised with the product specialist who spent a half hour going over all of the Santa Fe features. This car purchase was one of the most enjoyable experiences I’ve had in a car dealer, and I will recommend Rosen Hyundai

We all know this is a horrible time to purchase a vehicle and every dealership is going to sell vehicles over MSRP. I’ve been to many dealers over the last 2 months. All the dealerships e-price that I was quoted wasnt the true price and was not honored. Needless to say all tacked on an additional $3-7K on top of the price even after I called to verify the prices. This is the first dealership that was upfront with costs giving me the exact price before going to the dealership. I was able to fill out all the paperwork electronically. No tricks and speeches. Working with Eddie has been a pleasure. He was through, interested, and wasted no time helping me. I would definitely recommend this dealership.

My overall experience at Rosen Hyundai of Algonquin was the most pleasant experience Ive ever had at a dealership. Terrible service department. They claimed to fix my vehicle, but didnt, instead the problem was made worse! I marked the part that was going to be replaced and the mark was still there, not fixed.

Scheduled an appointment for recall of spare tire “kit”. Literally all they had to do was swap it out. We were told it would take 45+ min as they have to “find the kit”. Then asked “did they tell you they had the kit on hand?” Excuse me? We scheduled a month ago! After waiting for 40 minutes, they came out and said the kit was never ordered and we have to come back. Really? What a waste!
We recently bought a Kia Sorento EX from Michael Babinski. He was very helpful and answered all our questions. Mike was very knowledgeable about the Sorento and was honest when he wasnt positive about an answer. Mike did not rush our decision nor did he pressure us in any way. Things have changed since covid; its harder to trade in cars and possibly get the car you really wanted.My unle reccomended this location and I couldnt be happier. Rosen had a 2019 Tucson, Hyundai certified, AWD, Value trim with 20k miles for $18,921 posted on their web site. I spoke with a sales person, they verified the listing description, price and the vehicle was available. Upon arrival I looked at the car and test drove it. It fit my needs. Sat down with the salesperson and I made a cash offer. It was taken to the Sales Manager, upon return the price was >$22K (excluding tax, title and license as I was from out of state). The price sheet presented to me had an additional fee
We went in last week to purchase a new car. On Monday we had a plan to go to a few different dealerships to test drive cars and go home that evening and discuss. We met Mike Becker that day and had a great test drive and conversation with him. He presented us with the out the door numbers for us to discuss, but did not pressure us to buy that day. After an evening of discussion and some sleep, we went back on Tuesday morning to Rosen Hyundai to purchase our new Santa Fe. Mike brought out another model we asked to see and the numbers just so we could make the best decision for us. Again, no pressure to purchase. He was able to track down the exact Santa Fe we wanted and we took delivery on Wednesday. Everything went so smoothly from the sales to financing to the walk through of the car. We are so happy with our purchase from Rosen Hyundai and highly recommend seeing Mike Becker!
Place is the worst. Especially their parts department. They either never answer or call back. Seems like there is always one person there working since some of the times I would call they were all on lunch. One time I called as I left my house. No one was answering. I stayed on the phone as I drove there. Once I got there I hung up and walked in. They all seemed to just be hanging out talking. They all looked young which could be the reason why. One of the times I called and they werent answering all day I asked to speak to a manager. They tranfered the call. Got their voicemail which I left a message and never heard back.

I usually dont post reviews but I decided to do it for Rosen. I bought my car from this dealership in December 2020 and was told that I will be shipped my 2nd key fob in the mail. Now about 5 months later I still have not received my key fob. A month ago, the manager told me that he will get a new key fob made but he has not followed up nor am I able to reach him on the number he gave me. All they care about is the sale and once the sale is done, good luck on any pending items.

Excellent experience from time I walked in door. Zero pressure at all. I came in to purchase a Santa Fe but ended up purchasing a Palisade. Once I saw that car in the showroom, I was done. No pressure from Ron Turner my salesman...no pressure to purchase a bunch of add on products. Did they offer...yes. Did they push...no. No pressure in finance either and finance was super fast! Nothing but great things to say. This is definitely my car store for life. Ive had Hyundai products as far back as I can remember.

Unfortunately I just had to get my car repaired for the second time already this year and have had to pay just shy of $2,600. Its a real bummer since I drive only once a week because I work from home now and have only driven a few hundred miles in 2021. Thankfully every time I take my care in the customer service is fantastic and always takes care of me. The last 3 times Ive gotten something done to my car I have worked with Jeff. Jeff is outstanding guy and really goes out of his way to make the painful car repair experience that much better. I really hope I dont have any more problems anytime soon that will break my bank, but if I do I hope Jeff is the one to help me. Thanks again Jeff.

Just ask for Brennon. It is rare to find a salesman that will listen to what you want and not push other unwanted options down your throat. He listened to what I wanted/needed and delivered. They get things done quickly and efficiently.
Good experience. Minimal wait time and even though I told them I think I needed brakes they said I still had 40% and theyll check again at next service. Didnt try and sell me anything I didnt need. Didnt push the cabin and air filter that most dealers do. definitely recommend their service department.

I called the finance manager Tim Schomer 4 weeks ago with every intention of purchasing a Palisade. I wanted to get my best options for leasing vs purchasing as far as rates, payments and what I would need to come up with out of my pocket. One of the salespeople told me that with all of my questions and w my credit being good but not perfect, that I would be better off talking to the finance person. He never answered my questions or even learned enough about m situation to answer my questions. He said he was busy and would call me back. What followed was a week of me trying to get this guy on the phone, leaving voicemails, trying to connect with him through the sales department, and never getting called back. After a week I asked my sales guy to put him on the phone. He tried to bring him the call on his cell phone, and not realizing that I was on the line, he said dont bring me your phone, I dont want to talk to this effing loser.The salesperson, who was a nice guy, apologized to me and said that this is what it is like to work with Tim Schomer and that he is a terrible man to work with.I didnt want to get the rep in trouble, but I feel that this guy should be exposed for being the kind of person that would refer to a person trying to spend over $50,000 and put down over $15, 000 as a loser and just walk away from the business. I bought the Palisade at Gurnee Hyundai, instead of doing business basically in my own back yard, because of Tim Schomer. Had to edit the profanity out of this post. my apologies.

He made the leasing paperwork quick and easy and thoroughly explained every aspect of the car details to me. He was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend him and the Hyundai Team. This is my fifth Hyundai and I would not go anywhere else.

And, then, avoid them like the plague -- or the coronavirus, whichever one floats your boat.)From the beginning, when the GM Brian called me on the phone in response to a heartfelt plea to be allowed to buy a car in an environment where Id be treated like an intelligent human being ...To the kindness shown to me as I was driving down there and Google maps told me I was in Mexico headed toward the Atlantic Ocean (thanks, Google Girl, for your perceptive GPS!) ....To the graciousness of Mark, the GM of the used car site, who didnt look at me sideways when I insisted on speaking with Brian, but instead directed me to the site a few doors down, where the new cars are kept ....To Jon, the sales manager, who dealt with me and my young son in a professional and personable manner, answering all of my questions, explaining things without treating me as if I didnt understand cars because I have a uterus, being willing to negotiate with me as two adults are wont to do when they both want something ....To Rob, the interior/exterior manager, with whom I had a lovely conversation about family, property, spirituality, kismet, and children (will you be MY grandpa Rob?!?) ....To Yaseen, the financial manager, who more-than-tolerated my sons touching of everything in his office (he has the coolest Finding Nemo fishtank: That alone is worth the trip!), applauding me for my decision to buy (who leases? who wants nothing at the end of three years? who hasnt read Suze Orman?) and, like the good parent he is, redirecting my attention to signing the forms as I got distracted by all of the cool trinkets from Mexico ....To Jennifer, with whom Im going to schedule a two-hour appointment, so she can show me how to use my new car -- it has gizmos and whizzits aplenty (thanks, Little Mermaid, for that one!) -- because I want to know as much about it as my son already does ....To the folks whove followed up with me by text, by phone, by email, to ensure that Im happy with my purchase, to ask whether they can help in any way, to let me know that Im valued by them ...THIS PLACE IS THE BOMB!!! Ive taken a bunch of everyones business cards so I can distribute them far and wide because this dealership is the model of what a business can and should be. (I teach teachers: I have nothing to teach any of these folks!)It was a lovely drive to and from Algonquin on a lovely late-spring day, and Im so glad I went. Had I not, I just cant imagine ....Thanks ever so much, Hyundai of Algonquin, for making my birthday so special by supplying me with the present that I really wanted!!!P.S. Ill be driving into Kenosha, rather than staying in Racine, to get my car serviced: I know Ill be treated right by this new sister dealership of the folks in Algonquin. Hooray for me!!!An update: Its my birthday -- I turned 56! -- and Gilda Grey is our familys new best friend. I had the great pleasure of working with the salesmen by the name of Brennan Kresal. He put absolutely no pressure on me (unlike every other salesmen I’ve dealt with at other dealerships recently) and he was very knowledgeable on all the different makes and models. Would totally recommend this dealership, the inside was also super nice!
Dont go to this dealership they sell junk cars they will rip you off they sold me a 2014 chevy cruz I have nothing but problems with the car.I went to try to fix it and their mechanic told me to take it to the chevy dealer because he said they dont know how to work on these carsThey are very nice to you before the car sale but after they sell you the car they dont want to have anything to do with you. They must pay people to give them good reviews.
I recently purchased a 2020 Tucson from Rosen Hyundai in Algonquin. I had visited Hyundai dealerships much closer to my home but for several reasons decided to make the 45 minute drive to Rosen. I was so happy I did. I never felt the hard sell from my salesman Jared Shaw. He said he strives to put people in the cars they want. When purchasing a car in the past I always equated it to going to the dentist; a painful experience. I was very comfortable talking to Jared as he was very straightforward and explained down to the penny what I would spend on my SUV. In the end I purchased the model up from the one I went to see; totally my decision. The deal was too good to pass up. Thank you Jared.
