The french market is a great open outdoor market that has many unique vendors. It is a great place to find unique foods, fresh fruits, nuts and also art. Most of the vendors are established business owners and could share a thing or two about the city and culture if you have time to chat and they arent too busy. Enjoy the experience and the live music.

I shop my most groceries from this particular Wholefoods location, very clean easy finding parking and very friendly staff, fast checkouts on point. Highly recommended.

I really love my neighborhood Whole Foods. The prices over the last couple if years have really come down and most produce and frozen fruit and veggies are better quality and same or lower price than other large grocery chains in Alexandria. The people who work there are super friendly and many hav been there for years and are part of the neighborhood. The hot food and salad bars are very nice. Thank you for making this a good shopping experience at decent prices.

Absolutely love this store! I want to give it 5 stars but… the prices kill me. (I know it’s not this stores fault but… I just can’t give the 5)Local store review: customer service is amazing! The ready cooked food had great flavor and the selection is awesome! I love the parking garage directly connected, saved me a panic attack from not knowing where I was going to park and how far I’d have to haul groceries to my car all alone. Apparently if you are an Amazon prime member, you can get discounts or something. The young-man at the register mentioned something, will research tonight.

The store is clean but cramped. The selections are great. Go somewhere else if you are looking for espresso specifically.

Whole Paycheck still applies, but the quality and variety of the produce has diminished. That staff is still great, but I dont feel like the quality matches the expense.

The black man in Vitamins/nutrition aisle is a great employee. He made sure I got everything right all the time. I have been coming to this store for 3 years now. I can see this employee hard work from other’s. He definitely need a raise.

They was a fire alarm and no instructions were given. What is the policy in place? The cake that I am trying to purchase is always out .

I love Whole Foods. Been shopping here for the longest time but this store in Alexandria is filled with rude people. It is always full, but the store is so small, and people being so rude just makes it a bit uncomfortable. But you know, it’s your regular Northern VA folks 😅

Large store with a great hot bar and salad bar. Extensive meat and seafood counters. Very crowded any time of day.

Great hot bar. Parking is a little difficult to find and can sometimes feel tight. But overall it is in a convenient spot for Old Town commuters seeking a market on the way home.

Usual WF quality. Hot and cold bar are good for lunch.

Very disappointing! Long lines and only two registers open. No express line. It’s been converted to self checkout. Not the usual Whole Foods experience! I asked customer service to open another checkout because of the crowds, abs she simply said no.

Great store for locals. Easy free parking garage. Amazon package drop point.Otherwise. Great store with quality items like you would normally expect from a Whole Foods.I will add check out is tediously slow here. You would kind of think Amazon, who revolutionized the checkout experience would do better.

What a beautiful store, fully stocked, great customer service, clean, and a variety of items to shop for! Plus their buffet looked and smelled delicious! Beautiful fresh flowers as well! Only downside is it gets full of customers so it gets a little crowded!

As a former team member and avid customer of Whole Foods for over 25 years I must say that things have changed a lot since the Amazon merger.Over time I’ve noticed that very specific items and ingredients have been pulled from the shelves.The mushroom veggie burger for example used to be sold in threes at the cold bar, not anymore. Also the wheat gluten general Tso nuggets are now made of soy with no specification of them being organic.Just today I’ve also discovered that the salad bar is no longer an organic salad bar. Even after asking very direct questions to the woman managing the bar she recommended us to be very careful. Even though it says organic it isn’t always true. 🤔I am not sure how their supply chain has been affected but I do know that if the quality continues to be steadily compromised, at this rate Whole Foods will have an entirely new customer base and people like me won’t be in it.

Beautiful, big, easy parking in the back, great location away from the big crowd. Had cappuccino at their coffee shop and it was excellent. Found coconut cult and just had mine ordered on line and paid a lot of money for delivery. Going back soon for sure.

Low foot traffic at this location on Saturday mornings. Like most other Whole Foods locations, this one has well stocked shelves. The selection and availability of fresh seafood and meats is better than most. The hot food bar usually has a good selection of foods and the in-house sushi entrees look nice

Alexandria VA whole foods is one of the best whole foods Ive been to in a long time.

The store is very clean and the employees are very helpful. You know you will be getting quality products when coming into this Whole Foods location.

Excellent grocery store. Its always properly stocked, fruits and vegetables are fresh. This place is amazing quality and price.

To begin working at wholes food isn’t bad but please stay away from cashier positions. I worked here a year ago and customers are extremely rude. When I first started working here so many people left because of how rude customers and managers were with you. I remember this guy started talking back to some lady that is in her 60s, she was an employee there and the manager just stood there and did nothing about it. It isn’t fair how they say the customers are always right and is not right for the managers to assume that the employee doesn’t have their rights to express themselves about how the customers are. I was always being harassed by so many customers and I got had enough of it. Managers there needs to look out for their own employees.

Alexandria, VA. Nice and clean, the cashier, whose name I regret not getting was simply outstanding. She was attentive, even wrapped my glass water bottles for easy transportation.

Love Whole Foods Market. Great produce. My brother purchased fresh rhubarb. So good. It brought back wonderful childhood memories. I loved the Duck Trap smoke roasted salmon with apple brown sugar. The organic garlic and herb water crackers (365) are a wonderful complement to the salmon. GimMe organic toasted sesame seaweed is luscious. We enjoyed a wonderful shopping experience in Alexandria Virginia. I wish there was a Whole Foods in West Virginia.

This is my favorite Whole foods in the DMV area. As customary with all Whole foods, the food is fresh, the customer service is friendly and its easily accessible. Theres ample parking in their underground garage and its free. During COVID, this location, has taken extra measures to make me feel comfortable shopping here. While other retailers and grocers have abandoned managing shoppers per square foot, this Whole Foods has not. They still have someone manning the door, disinfecting carts and keeping count of how many shoppers are in the store. They are still managing traffic flow. I love this place!

Neighborhood Whole Foods :) I put together this colorful meal for dinner - just under $9. Cant beat that at any restaurant.

My shopping experience was excellent! Store was well stocked. I especially appreciate the visible effort being made to keep entire store clean and sanitized! Aisles are clearly marked to ensure social distancing (perfect providing customers take notice)..checkout was quick and efficient. I must mention that the cashier, Jocelyn was exceptional! Thanks Jocelyn for being so friendly during this time when there arent many smiles!

One of the worst run grocery stores Ive ever been to. Tried to return a package. Went to customer service, couldnt help me. When I finally found where to drop it off there was no worker and she claims the system was down. I waited 30 min to return a package that should only take 5 seconds. Thanks for the inconvenience

I love this whole foods. The produce, meat, and seafood sections are top notch. My fav is pairing the bone-in ribeye steak with the lobster tails. Vegetables and fruits are also top quality and best shelf lives we know of locally (been here over a decade)

There is always someone at the entrance, ostensibly limiting the number of people inside. But Ive never seen anyone asked to wait before entering and the store always seems crowded. @Trader Joes does a far better job of keeping customers physically distanced

Whole Foods is handling C-19 issues well. I am safe shopping in person at their Duke St. Store. However, they are having stocking issues. Three of the items I buy only at Whole Foods were sold out! Other items I had to select a second or third choice. This is a recurring issue at this location. Amazon should be doing a better job keeping the shelves full!

Free parking garage, elevator, and escalator. The produce is great here. Theyre doing a great job with social distancing. Hot bar is currently open but is not self-service.

First, let me say the crowd can be obnoxious, that said... move on along, they will go around you no matter what!On to the greatness... the scallops, beef fillets, cheese selection, Gusto Calabrese (OMG), short ribs marinated in HEAVEN, to the olive bar, the prepared foods and salads too... those sliced carrots in lemon dill are delicious... the croissant 6 pack, get 2... you will regret it if you dont. We hit the fresh cookies open bar, yall... do not say no, grab a bag, we werent the only ones.Best deal for us was eating in and shopping local Alexandria. We stayed in a suite, with a fully equipped kitchen. We splurged on Whole Foods, DAILY.On average, dinner out conservatively, (very little alcohol)... ranged $150 to $225... plus tip. We tip WELL.By far, the fresh produce and other delicious foods and goods available at Whole Foods will far exceed your expectations for fine dining in Old Alexandria... we did it for a full week feeding four for roughly $850 and we absolutely loved all our meals!The taste testers had samples of Gusto Calabrese, spicey brown package... I brought one home, it was that good!Thank you WFM for being convenient, reasonably priced and tasty... most memorable moments of our sisters trip was that daily hike to the market!Grab some wine and some water folks... CHEERS!

Good selection and stocked shelves. We usually go when its busy, but we have yet to be turned off by the crowd. I do wish the local stuff was either highlighted more or the availability was greater. Im not sure if Im missing on the local stuff because the signage isnt obvious or there is just a lack of local items.

Good food options. Some customers were not respecting the 6ft social distancing guidance. On this trip I bought a prepacked salad and found out the lettuce was browned and old after opening. Usually a good experience.

Always a joy to explore for mostly fresh and healthy food. Vegan choices great, but not for blueberry and chocolate chip muffins. And the plant-based burgers means dinner on the table within 20 minutes. I’ve recently discovered the fried fish and, of course, went overboard. Not my fault. The food’s too good.

Things were going fine until I discovered there were no large sized jars of chunky 365 peanut butter on the shelf. Would that the rest of the crises in the world were of such magnitude.

We like the fantastic produce, baked good, and wine selection. When we dropped in late on a weeknight, for a few items, we were able to locate everything we need and observed social distancing protocols being applied, as hoped for.

This is a great Whole Foods. Their shelves are always fully stocked (not matter what time of day you come in), they have a great selection of plants/flowers, the food/salad bars are great, and the staff is super friendly. Plus they have an Amazon Locker inside, which is really convenient for me! My only complaint would be that being an Amazon prime member really doesnt give any tangible discounts at Whole Foods, but that isnt their fault. Definitely recommend!
