I didnt have much time to shop, so I just walked around to check out what was available. The produce looked beautiful. The selections in the bakery department were tempting and reasonably priced. With winter coming, I wont be going out to eat as often so Ill come back to try some of the prepared foods. The chickens looked so delicious. I wish I had one now.

I was looking at the site tonight trying to figure out what Im going to order for pickup tomorrow. After multiple attempts for the past 3 hours, I have given up. The site is not working. This has happened several times in the past while I was trying to shop. This was going to be my first time ordering from this store. I have family here and thought I would order some fresh seafood. Not going to happen. Not impressed at all.

The produce and prepared items like salads and sushi are all very fresh and delicious. They have a great selection of seafood and meats as well. The staff are also very nice.I used to shop here a lot but somehow forgot about it, but it is my new standard!

Nice clean store with upscale grocery options. Lots of healthy products to choose from. One draw back is the limited prepackaged meats. You almost have to go to the meat counter to get your meat, poultry, and seafood choices. You do get what you pay for and the high quality items have comparable higher quality prices.

The store is always hit or miss. The food is fresh and often offer great specials including meal deals. But the last few times I have shopped here the staff seem to question the validity of meal deals when at the register.

There food is good to eat and to buy .

I love The Fresh Market especially as I often just shop for myself and appreciate the meat market that allows me to get exactly what I want. The prices can be steep the the quality is wonderful. The deli has a nice selection as does the bulk aisle. Very nice wine department. The staff is always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.

Small, clean, and the clerk was very nice. This store has everything. Will revisit soon.

Nice store, similar to other high end grocery stores with lots of specialty and prepared items. Expensive, but nice if that is the experience you are after.

Bought a 3/4 pound tenderloin filet and two North Atlantic lobster tails for our anniversary dinner tonight. Beef had excellent flavor, and seafood was good, and fresh.The beef however was simply sliced off the whole tenderloin, untrimmed of sinew and fat. My better half choked on the beef. Not heimlich level choking, but gagging food up from the back of the throat from the excessive connective tissue. Tenderloin cant be sliced with minimal to no trimming like a Ribeye roll or a strip loin. It needs a little more work.The lobster tails were good, but one was whole and the other was missing the last 1/4 of the tail. Not really a big deal. Not much meat in that part anyway.I went to fresh market because I wanted above average. Didnt get it.

I have a relative who works at your store and he just informed me that the employees there do not get their breaks. There are some employees working at the store who never get a break, not even a lunch break.I am going to report this store to the Better Business Bureau and I’m going to find the proper government agency to report them to as well because they are breaking the law.

This is my favorite grocery store. Staff is friendly and helpful. Their premade dinners are plentiful, healthy, and taste great. The produce is always super fresh!

On some things its pricey, but Ive got Honey Crisp apples on sale for $1.99 peer pound. The prepared foods are good. Especially the herb potato salad, not too Mayo. The church ground beef and others meet counter is great.

Fresh Market is a wonderful place and pleasant experience from ambiance to aromas and scents of fresh cut flowers and freshly ground coffee. Id give it 5 stars, but some prices are exaggerated and taking advantage. I strictly buy seafood when they get shipments Tues, Thurs & Sat. And I shop the butchers steaks and chops. Produce is good, but can be overpriced. Overall if its convenient then its worth checking out.

Not your traditional grocery store. They have a lot of fresh cooked and prepared food, and a huge meat/fish section. More expensive than traditional grocery stores.

The store would be better if they keep it well stocked.

Great little market to find fresh produce and a selection of meats and cheeses. Staff are will to help and making sure everything is in order and clean. While the prices are a little high it is reflected in the quality and service you get.

1st time here and I loved it. Such a nice store, very clean, great items and amazing prices. Chicken parm Dinner for 4 for 20.00 was delicious. Will definitely be back next week.

Great store! Yes it is expensive but the service is great. My son apps here all the time and we came here several times during our visit. The fruits and veggies were fresh and there was a wide variety. The guy at the seafood counter was very helpful. My only issue was the lack of Diet Coke- which is hard to call a whole food.

This place was packed on Christmas Eve but they managed to get people through very fast!

They have a variety of organic products, fresh meat deli counter also fish and meat. You may not find the the brands you know but local brand are the best.

I have never been so pleased with sushi, Lu’s sushi is amazing!!!! Definitely go check it out, she puts a lot of love into it!! The flavor is immaculate and it never disappoints🥰 Thank you Lu for carrying fresh market on you back!

I love having the Fresh Market a 10 minute drive away. I have always enjoyed this chain and this location does not disappoint. Fresh, organized and great food. They have great meal kits in the produce section. If you’re going for these kits, make sure to get there earlier rather than later. I’ve noticed that by 6-7pm on weekdays, they run out of a few popular options. Highly recommend this chain over Whole Foods, Safeway or Harris Teeter! I would say it’s comparable to the quality of food at Whole Foods but much cheaper. It’s also a nicer version of Trader Joe’s.

Good grocery store that is similar to Whole Foods. Good produce and bakery. Very good customer service and reasonable prices. Parking in Bradley Center is a bit hectic, especially on the weekends.

Pretty good store and not as busy during the off hours. Store asks customers to wear masks and has one-way aisles, which seem to be working. I was put off however by staff in meat and seafood area talking and standing close together with their masks off their faces while packaging meat and seafood orders for customers. I know masks are not great especially for long term wear but it’s important for everyone’s health.

The meat market is probably the worst of all the Fresh Market’s I have ever shopped at. All the steaks are cut at less than an inch (I guess $24 a pound minute steaks). For a gourmet store, I expect better quality and service.

The Fresh Market is very clean & spacious. The staff is courteous and helpful. I really like The Fresh Market in Towson, MD and was very happy to find one comparable to it here in Virginia.👍

Similar to a Whole Foods. Always friendly and helpful service. The produce is fresh and they have a lot more organic options than your standard grocery store. Decent wine and beer selection. Wide variety of nuts and dry goods that you can bag yourself. They also have a nut butter machine to make your own, and you can grind fresh coffee as well in the coffee bean section. The prices are the major drawback. You are paying a significant markup here on many of the same items you can get at a traditional grocery store.

I just recently discovered this store and really like it! Nice selection of groceries plus deli & bakery options. Overall great service -- esp at check-out, and one of the managers Adam was very responsive and helpful.-1 * for the poor attitude of lady behind the self-serve coffee station.Ugh.. well, another * off for the same woman behind the coffee counter-- she just has a terrible, unpleasant disposition! The $20 meal deal is a steal and fun way to mix-up dinners throughout the week. The girlfriend (now wife) loved the cakes/deserts so much that we used their variety of cakes at our wedding. Great location/staff.

Top notch variety & Bulk section.Best store Ive walked into in a while with reasonable prices.Really displayed items that appeal to me, on same wavelength for low carb vegan food that I do. Rustic style is a nice touch.

We love many of their products. There arent as many stores as there used to be, so when we happen upon one we pop in. Usually for at LEAST a pound of their wonderful bacon...and cookies.

Beautiful gourmet market with excellent meat and fish counters, flowers, snacks, delicious sandwiches and sushi, bulk coffee and candy, spices and baking, and wine and beer.Very good sale prices on boneless chicken breasts, fruit, crackers and snacks, and roses. Also good sushi prices and deals on things like pizza and wings. I only spent about 30 minutes so there are probably more excellent deals.Theres a wonderful salad bar and bakery with beautiful looking cakes, pastries and breads.Most employees were very friendly. A few samples throughout the store. Very nice shopping experience. Lovely classical music is a really nice touch. I wish they had a location closer to DC but Ill definitely return.

Now this is an experience. I shopped in the one in New Orleans several times. I am delighted to find it in Alexandria. Fresh is everything about this place. The butcher was awesome and went above and beyond! Love it and can not wait to go back.

Looks like a mini whole foods. Fresh bread collection. Good food and salad varieties. Good whole grilled chicken. Also they have this roll with rosemary and sea salt that tastes great. My favorite.

We love this place. Contrary to some of the other reviews, Id say the prices are pretty normal for a nice No. Va supermarket ( but *less* than Whole Foods, in my experience). The produce is beautiful with a pretty decent selection of pesticide-free organic items as well. Great selections of meat, fish, bread, cheeses... Wonderful, fresh, moist cakes and cupcakes. Great coffees, teas, spices, snacks, beer, wine. The service has been consistently pleasant and helpful, and theres just something very welcoming about the atmosphere. It has warmer lighting or something than the average supermarket. They also regularly give out $10 coupons for your next purchase-- not the usual crappy coupons only for specific foods you would never want to buy. Anyway, we were a little skeptical when we heard the hype about it, but we actually look forward to going here! Its definitely a welcome addition to the area.

I absolutely love this store! The Little Big Meal is an amazing bargain. Their USDA prime steaks are a steal when they go on sale. The bakery is always on point, as well as the deli salads. Even though some items may be a bit steep, the deals are great, and the atmosphere makes shopping there a pleasant experience.

The staff here can be pretty clueless. They dont seem to have a handle on anything thats going on under their roof -- from the products they stock to where certain responsibilities (and thus, answers) fall. So frustrating..

Still the best quality and price for chicken breasts every Tuesday! Love the quality of their meat and poultry. Great produce section! Bulk nuts... cant find that everywhere. Like all grocery markets, you just need to keep an eye on their ads to know when to get the best prices. Been a satisfied customer for 5 years!

Fresh Market is a little market with a good amount of gourmet and gluten-free items. Some of the items are more expensive than other major grocery stores and some of them are less. Hot food bars good, good rotisserie, fairly good produce. Also great sushi. Its the best place to do a quick grocery run.

No help. I went in for special ingredients for an Italian recipe. They didn’t have shallots. I asked for help identifying a specific kind of olive which their sign said they had and an employee said ‘oh our manager just quit and she used to do that’. The only types of ham their deli section carries are American (slim selection). The only reason I didn’t give one star was they had some interesting prepared food and specialty products and I hope the poor customer service was due to the loss of a manager. I will NOT be back any time soon

Nice local grocery store. Lots of organic sat decent prices. They offer specials, like chicken for $2.99/lb on Tuesdays. The staff is also very courteous and attentive.

Good cheesecake frozen not made in store, staff needs work..Not sure how to reply so edit works...Because the cheesecake is frozen and sipped in and sitting in the freezer staff that is working in the Bakery shouldt use The person that does the cheesecakes isnt in right now., it doesnt take a special skill to grab the cheesecake from a freezer. normally wouldnt mind but happen a few times.

I think Im in love. This place is Not spendy, compared to any stores in DC proper. The variety of products is not astonishing, but its ample. And it lives up to its name. I like the classical music which plays over the PA system. Will come back!

Great, boutique grocery with hard-to-find items

I absolutely love this store and would give it 5 stars if not for one thing. Smokers. They have a small patio outside, which is filled with their staff smoking cigarettes, which not only keeps people from eating outside but its gross when youre walking in the door.

Prices are higher than Safeway and inventory is limited. However they do have a few limited items you wont find in your typical supermarket. Wine is readily available.

Upscale specialty market with sometimes surprisingly good prices on specials and even some everyday items. Generally pricey though for very high quality products.

Found this place by accident and was impressed by the variety of freshly prepared meals (great sushi), sauces, cheese, & specialty items.

Love this place!I ordered a brie and ham panini and fell in love. I literally groaned when I at this. They have caramelized onions on it that added a delicate sweetness. It was a fabulous sandwich and not just because I was hungry.They have a wide selection of breads and sweets that will make anyone happy.My favorite thing is their selection of nuts and trail mix. I cant get enough of them. I buy more each time I go in. I dont live in Virginia, but their selection is worth the drive across the bridge!!

Good selection of organic and conventional goods. They dont have everything you might need but they have most things and very good quality. The baked goods are fantastic and the meats are reasonably priced and very good.

Its sad to see how much Fresh Market has changed since I lived in Raleigh four years ago. The selection of food just isnt what it used to be, and theres far more pre-made, quick-to-make food than I remember. This location wasnt the cleanest (produce on the floor) and they were out of simple things like fresh thyme and ground turkey. There was no butcher to assist us in getting meat, and the cashier was rude and had an attitude with us saying ugh, I need a break. For what I paid for groceries here, Id rather go to somewhere like MOMs Organic, which is an all around better experience.

I used to love fresh market but after it has been open for a while its just kinda meh. The meat has gone kind of downhill on its freshness, the fish is still good and the veggies are good too, but the prices on some of the fruit are stupid high, they tend to be cheaper at MOMs Organic grocery, and theyre Organic. The other thing that annoys me is the little big meal, after two days the store is out of half the meal and the substitute items dont go with the meal or are just icky stuff they were over stocked on. The rest of the grocery items are fine if Im after high end stuff. The bulk stuff is pretty reasonable, its comparable to Whole Foods.

Great place for one off healthy grocery needs but cost a bit more for everyday goods. Expect a small but fresh grocery experience.
