Good music store, wanted to play the acoustic drums but didnt get the chance to. As a missionary I dont get to ever play the drums and I miss it so much!!!

Okay selection. Convenient size. Selection 7/10. Employees are knowledgeable, but not understanding or empathetic. Drum and Guitar and Piano selection is good. Traditional Band and Orchestra instruments selection is poor.Took a 4star and sliced it in half.

Had a great visit today! I have a very nice guitar that needed some work and I thought I was going to have to send it off to be repaired. But after calling and explaining the issue to the tech he said to bring it in and from my description on the phone he felt he could do the repair, but obviously he wanted to see it for himself. I was impressed with his knowledge of and his passion for guitars and felt confident leaving it in his hands. Ill update this after the repair is done but based on the customer service Ive received so far, Im very impressed!

There is a fabulous selection of musical instruments and some very helpful sales staff. Laura really knows her stuff and has been there the longest. They also have band shoes and other marching gear available. Sheet music, picks, reeds - theyve got em. And if they dont have it, theyll do the best they can to get it for you.

I absolutely love Red River Music. I have been going there for almost 10 years now. They always have everything that I need plus so much more. The service is great and the employees are excellent as well. You can ask them just about anything and they will either have/find the answers you need and then give you some advise if you want it. They make you feel so welcomed and are very friendly. The location could not be better and the prices are great. Red River Music has always been and always will be my #1 music store.

Great music store. Super chill workers. They let you play whatever, dont bother you, and dont try to actively sell you stuff - but very helpful and knowledgeable when you do ask questions and need help with stuff.

I have been here a number of times because it’s near my house and I have two kids playing multiple instruments. Someone else mentioned it feels like you’re invading on the employees’ free time and this has EXACTLY been my experience every time. I always feel like I’m inconveniencing them, even though I’m usually the only customer in there. They also don’t seem to know what to do with an 11-year-old girl who plays the guitar/electric guitar...like, I get that they may not stock things she might like, but they can’t even recommend sizes or brands or what to look for in instruments, equipment, and accessories that are more suitable for her and not grown men. After waiting on something from them for days with zero communication, I’m taking all my business to Nugent in Pineville.

My family has done business with red river for over a decade they are always friendly and knowledgeable.

This is the only music store in Alexandria where you can buy everything from recording studio equipment to instruments down to guitar picks and strings. They are a little pricey but convenient because there arent any other stores in the area that sell similar products.

I tried to get the guitar staff to order me a Strat but the only thing I would get is, we are putting in an order next week. I would check back with them and then the same old answer. we are going to order next week. I even offered to pay them a down payment to get the ball rolling faster but they didnt want that either. Finally gave up trying to by from this place. I will still purchase from them but they will not be my first option. I will forgo the excuses and just by online. Its cheaper anyway and you dont have to pay shipping most of the time. If I have to send something back at least I will get it back before, we are putting in an order next week. C.SpikesSave money and time by just purchasing online. The idea of trying to buy local to support the local economy is just not worth the hassle.
