While some reviews complain about pricing Id say for the quality of food and amount its well worth it.We ordered a variety of items and everything was really good, the sausage and meat pies do have a bit of a kick to them so warning to those that dont care for heat.My favorite part was easily my caramel macchiato!
Over priced and over rated. Food was sub par. On the plus side, service was good and my drink was good too.
Probably my fav breakfast spot in town! It’s cozy, very fast and friendly service, finally decent coffee and a very wide selection of savour and sweet waffles. I had the vegetable cheese waffles (loved it) and we tried the 4 sampler and the chocolate waffle. Go for the fruits, lighter and fluffier mix.Great for weekend start!
8/18/20Tasty little spot for breakfast. The hash browns are THE BEST! (Too bad they dont serve a generous portion of them.)The waffle mixture used keeps the waffles sweet and semi-moist.The ladies behind the counter are nice! The bacon could be of better quality, but it isnt. Unless you like bacon that tastes like eating cold spoonfuls of lard, dont order any extra.
Fabulous food for the whole family. We ordered multiple things and they were all delicious. I wouldnt normally try shrimp and grits outside of The Big Easy but my 7 year old ordered that and I tasted it and devoured the remaining. I had the build your own Benedict with 3 different meats and man was that awesome. Each different type of meat had great smoky flavors that added so much to the Benedict. The meat alone was delicious. The waffle Benedict was wonderful as well. The potatoes were also delicious. A great place for a small family of four to get some good comfort food.
Great little place with great customer service.
What an awesome gem, tucked away at the entrance of Alexandria- a coy space, inviting patrons to enjoy what is possible for ... the waffle. The owner is vibrant and welcoming, the staff courteous and professional. My Mom flipped for the Shrimp and Grits, and I was pleasantly surprised by the innovative approach to a Croque Monsieur/ waffle style. A duet of savory and sweet, the menu is fresh and new; creative and comforting. Thank you so much. Delilah and Ketty! See you soon.
We stopped here because reviews made it attractive. We found the coffee and food were definitely good. Prices were high, though, especially when not much comes with a meal (eg omelets only come with toast and waffles are served with toppings alone), the food is served on paper plates with plastic utensils and you have to wait in line at a counter to order it. The whole restaurant felt dark and needed better lighting, especially at the counter. On the whole, an ok place but you’d find better value elsewhere without having to eat at a chain restaurant.
Love this place been a couple times an havent gotten anything that was less then delicious. One of my favorite breakfast spots.
I got the original breakfast (gluten free waffles!!!) with eggs and sausage/bacon x2 days in a row. My friend got the vanilla bean strawberry (wheat) waffle with ice cream x2 days in a row. We are in town visiting from Chicago and we are so glad we found this place! They have lots of gluten free options for waffles!! Highly recommend! It was packed on a Saturday around 10 am and seating is limited. Today (Sunday) at 1130 it was much less crowded and easy to find a table. Definitely worth the wait!
I only got a Americano to go.I usually get a 20 oz with 4 shots and theirs only comes with 2 so i got 2 extra... Made for a 8.00 drink.Very high and had that sour taste... Not bad, just not something Id get again here.Glad my local drive thru doesnt kill my pocket book, dont know how people buy 8 dollar Americanos?
Best waffles weve ever had -my kidsCoffee and omelette were great. Great service. Glad there were tables out front bc we brought our little dog. Staff was very sweet
Um yes please! Hands down everything I’ve ever ordered was delicious. If you haven’t eaten here, try the chicken and waffles or crabmeat egg Benedict.
We visited today (April 30, 2021) and will definitely be back. Great food, inviting atmosphere and the owner was hands-on making sure every customer was taken care of and the dishes were to their liking. If you dont visit youre missing out.
Food and atmosphere were terrific!!! When you go in, grab a menu, order at the counter, and grab a table. They will bring food to you and call you up for coffee drinks. We ordered the vanilla bean waffle with strawberries and another with strawberries and Nutella along with bacon and hashbrowns to share. Waffles were delish and plated so pretty that we didnt want to eat them! They also have board games available at the tables to play while you are waiting for your food. Service was fast and friendly!
Amazing as always! The food was great and the coffee was superb.
My wife saw their add on Facebook and wanted to try it out. Went in and ordered a breakfast meal and frappe for both of us. The food came out and looked beautiful. Tasted horrible. The food was not seasoned at all. Both the frappes tasted the same. Both tasted like a plain coffee frappe. I order the Peanut Butter and it didn’t have a hint of peanut butter in it. So my opinion is go to I Hop. The food will be better and you’ll have $30 in your pocket. Oh yeah two breakfast with 2 frappes and tip over $50.
Im honestly unsure how long this place has been here because I dont travel to Alex often, but Im glad I found it. The food and lattes are really good, but the staff is what set this place apart from other restaurants in the area. I had the Chorizo Scrambler and Black Forest Coffee. The chorizo wasnt as spicy as I prefer, but it was still tasty.Im used to so-so service in CENLA, but this place far exceeded the standard. You can tell they take proud in their establishment and they genuinely care about delivering a memorable dining experience.
Someone said expensive but worth it. It was more expensive than the menus posted here. $9 for a waffle with strawberries on it is a bit extreme and in my opinion not worth it. How this place stays open with such high prices is beyond me but maybe its the only place like it in Alexandria with no competition.
You have to go to the counter for a menu, then seat yourself. When you decide what you want, you have to go to the counter to order. They do deliver the food to your table, but for the price, the portion size is very disappointing. The food was tasty and the waffles delicious, but I dont think its worth what they charge. Also, I asked for a latte, whole milk, no foam. The girl making the lattes was standing there and made eye contact with me and I repeated my request. She smiled and made an affirmative comment, so I expected whole milk, no foam. My latte had at least an inch of foam on it, which does not boost my confidence that it was actually made with whole milk. When I went up and asked for a spoon to scrape the foam off, I was given a spoon with no comment, certainly no apology for not making my $6 latte to my request. I dont tip when you do nothing but type in my order and bring me my food. I had to get up to request the milk we had ordered. Good food, too high price, barely any service and certainly not stellar service, I will not visit again and do not recommend
Creative menu and decent execution. If you order a sweet waffle, it will be INCREDIBLY sweet!
Nice and small. The atmosphere is so inviting and the food is delicious. The staff was real nice.
I got a gift card for Christmas and decided to use it this morning. They were busy but the line moved quickly. I ordered turtle cheesecake waffle. It was delicious. It was sweet but not too sweet. Our server was friendly and the restaurant was very clean and had a relaxed vibe to it. Looking forward to going back soon.
Cafe style, order at the counter. Good coffee, great banana nut waffles and bacon!
Good food portions were a bit small slightly pricey but overall its good! Small dining area waited in line 20 minutes before sitting down to eat.
Awesome FooD and service. Simply Delicious and everyone’s plate was empty lol 😂 It’s Sooooo Good. Smoothies the best and waffles off the chain.
It was ok....Bacon was hard. The rest of the group was satisfied with there meals..
Great food, great service! I love it!
They have a great selection of breakfast items, but the music they play in there is extremely depressing. Also the coffee was very very weak to have coffee in the name. Better bring your own cleaning supplies because the tables are nasty. The food was good, eggs were over cooked but the waffles more than made up for it. All in all good.
Very good breakfast and brunch
Had breakfast here while waiting on my car to be serviced! Awesome place. I am from out of town. The service was impeccable. Everyone so nice and friendly. The food was wonderful too. Will definitely stop by next time I am in town.
This is a quaint little dive if you need to have a nice cup of coffee with a friend or a couple of friends. Smells great and they have a wonderful selection different kinds of coffees hot or cold. I have had the lunch menu a couple of times and it was pretty good; might have been a little pricey for the quality of what you were getting but oh well. Just a cool little place to relax and do an article on your laptop or just hang out
Wow!! Definitely a Great breakfast spot! Bowl licking good. I had the Le Couchon Scrambler. It was excellent. The servers were very friendly. They give a discount to military, first responders, and teachers. That is appreciated!!
Food was really good. Very hot and fresh but the eggnog latte was yuck. It was very nasty. Wish I would have gotten a smaller size. But the food is really good!
Waffles were excellent. Family loved every bit of it. I personally had the gluten free pulled pork waffle.
Amazing as always! ☕
Food is a bit pricey but good👍
Eggs were hard you can tell they were old and the grits were stiff and cold. First time i ate there was a weekday food was so good! I came back on a Saturday i was not pleased at all then the lady at the register was very rude. I didnt get her name she was kinda heavyset and wore glasses. I will not be going there again unless it a weekday
While the atmosphere is nice, the food service leaves more to want, especially considering the price.
Visiting from Dallas, Texas. If you want a homemade food little place. This is it. Really nice service. Parking is not really well. But I would stop here if I was you. :)
I have the Louisiana mud waffles and it was good tasted just like pralines and the owner is very very very nice
Amazing food and coffee! Fast service, too!
Maybe Im dumb for ordering a tea latte and a salad at a coffee and waffles place, but I wasnt impressed. My green tea latte, described in the menu as green tea and steamed milk, tasted like milk and sugar and had obvious green food coloring, with little to no tea. Some of the Brussels sprout slices in the salad were gray. Its disappointing because its such a cute place with a great atmosphere.
We went early and nobody was there. Great Waffle place.
The food was good and the people friendly but was way overpriced. $18 bucks for a garden omelet and a side of bacon and a large bullet proof coffee. The bullet proof coffee was the best thing out of the meal.
Very friendly staff & amazing food/espresso bar!
Coffee has gotten way better than it used to be; its actually good now. Delicious food, although the portions of some things are kind of small for the price. Rotating menu on the screen definitely is not up to date, so be cautious ordering from that.
I love the food. The service is always great! The only downfall to this place is the price. That’s the only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars. That’s the most known thing about this restaurant, “it’s good but way to expensive “.
Awesome. My son love these waffles.
Love their eggs benedict!!
Went here for brunch. Had the chicken and blueberry waffles, eggs sunny side up, and a Rocky Mountain Snow coffee. Amazing place. Being from Jersey, this place is probably the best breakfast spot within at least a 10 mile radius. Keep up the great work! Don’t franchise or you’ll ruin it! This is also the best place to get coffee (will rival Starbucks drinks seriously)!
This is a great breakfast spot to meet up with friends or family. It’s a small spot so it can be crowded at times. Please get the chicken and waffles! They are the best I’ve ever had. They also have a green tea latte that puts Starbucks to shame. It’s light and creamy with just enough sweetness. I wish I’d gotten a bigger size. Can’t wait to go back and get another one.
Great food and service.
Great food, amazing coffee friendly helpful staff. I don’t drink coffee told them what I liked and they made it amazing. Cozy atmosphere will be going back!
A cozy and neat local coffee joint. The menus is extensive. Tables have games that you could play while you wait for your scrumptious food to be brought. The vanilla waffles sampler was tasty, with some of the fluffiest waffles over ever had. Salmons Benedict was savory with the side praying being a bit on the spicier side. Service left nothing to be desired, would definitely comeback again
Its not really well known, but im here to tell you the food is awsome. The guy who runs it is super nice guy. i guarentee uf you try it, you will go back.
Food great, service lackluster. Its Alexandria (difficult to find motivated employees.)
Really see this having a cult following.
Neat, clean, and fun little place. Good food and prices.
Very tasty food!!! great service too
Loved this place. Best smoothie Ive ever had.
Good service, good food! Great breakfast spot!
The coffee and food was great. Very friendly staff with good service. Small place but comfortable and chill.
The food is REALLY good! Also, large portions. The thing that really stuck out to me is everything is so clean. In my opinion clean is hard to find in Alexandria. Really great service! My children, 3 and 4 really loved the games. Will visit again and again.
We came around 1:30 with 6 people and girls were so sweet explaining the menu. It didnt take long to get our food...the chicken as well seasoned and plain waffles were great. They brought us a plate of cinnamon roll waffles as a treat bc they said wait was so long for is to receive our food....even though it did not take long at all. Oh my gosh!!! They were to die for! The atmosphere is very relaxed and my kids love playing the games they had.
Best chicken and waffles! Bacon was a little bit crunchier than liked but other than that it was well worth the stop.
Had to stop for gas after driving for a long time and I wanted to grab some breakfast. I checked out the options in the area that were open and decided to make a stop here. I really liked the atmosphere and the variety of seating. The menu is full of interesting options and I couldnt decide on just one vanilla waffle, so I got a sampler. I was really impressed with all of the flavors, even the praline waffle which isnt a flavor I normally enjoy. My boyfriend got a beef brisket waffle and loved it. The prices are a little steep but as a treat its well worth it. Its a little far from the road, so keep an eye out for it. If Im ever passing through the area again, Im definitely coming back.
Coffee was good. Pulled pork was salty. The waitress attitude was rude after we told her the food was salty. 1st time going never going back. We payed enough to get food like the pictures and to taste good also very disappointed!!!
What a hidden gem! We stopped for breakfast and had banana nut waffle, bacon and coffee. The waffle was light and airy with bananas, candied walnuts, cinnamon and whipped cream. Yum!!!! Great hot and cold coffee drinks. It is now on our must stop list.
If you ever get the chance, check this place out! The atmosphere is cozy, the people are awesome, and most importantly the food and drinks are amazing
Always a pleasant stop when Im in town. Wonderful food and a rotating menu keeps me coming back. The atmosphere is pleasant enough and I have yet to have a bad experience.
Ive never had an all day breakfast dinning experience like it. This isnt your average 24-hour breakfast dinner. Everything has such a sophisticated, and flavorful taste. There is something for every walk of life. There are even old fashion board games at each booth to enjoy while your waiting on your order, or just visiting with loved ones. If you want a unique/upscale twist on flavors and variety of the most important meal of the day. Then, this is the place to go. Prices are very reasonable. Every time my family comes in from out of town, I take them here for brunch. Very laid back atmosphere.
