I ordered from Extra Perks via Grubhub the Full British Breakfast. That comes with 2 eggs, anyway you want, a pork banger, bacon, sourdough toast (2), mushrooms, and grilled tomatoes. I also added baked beans and added cheddar cheese to my eggs which I ordered scrambled.I enjoyed the meal very much. It all worked together and was both filling and tasty. Only issue is the delivery fee does seemed a tad high and its location meant it take a bit to get to me. But still have to give it five stars.

I’ve been going to Extra Perks for years. Service is great, food is ok. One thing that always bugged me was its lack of identity. Like what are they trying to be? A British breakfast spot? A basic deli with pricey bubble tea? It’s all over the place. While you already have me as a repeat customer, the only ways you’ll win over return folks is to brand your restaurant. Gut the place, come up with an awesome design that tells a story like a lively English pub or British bake shop, and then rebuild. And while you’re at it, do something to put some sort of consistency with the menu so it actually makes sense. The options, while good, are all over the place. And don’t even get me started on the strange piano or R&B music playing. Makes it all worse. I scratch my head every time I come here, yet still keep coming back because it’s so close to my house.

Great food. First time I had ever had English baked beans, and they were AMAZING! Im giving a 4 star review because I asked for oat milk in my boba tea because I have a lactose allergy. One of the workers brought it too me, and I said, This has oat milk, right? They said that they forgot, and asked me if I really couldnt drink milk. I said I couldnt, and they brought me a new drink... only for it to have milk in it!! Im wondering if they just thought I wouldnt notice or it was a mistake, but Ive been having stomach cramps for hours because of it.

I rarely leave negative reviews but after awhile it’s important to inform the locals of things to avoid. We moved to Old Town North 6 months ago for the mom and pap charm. Something on the surface Extra Perks exhibits. However we’ve now order directly from their website as the owner has expressedly requested and each time our order is poorly made and extremely late. We ordered breakfast over an hour ago and we’re now just served for take out. Really? Come on guys, we walked over and we’re told ten minutes, we can back and waited another twenty after ten minutes. Unacceptable - this is not the first time. There are plenty diner like options in the neighborhood and businesses that genuinely respect and appreciate the neighborhood’s support. I am very disappointed to not recommend Extra Perks. A refund and redo are the minimum you all can do to improve this now repeated customer experience. Two thumbs down

Hello Extra Perks, Food was great atmosphere was amazing and coming down from NYC and being apart of the hospitality industry for over 15 years. I was in total awl About how a server conducted herself.I HAD A SERVER TOTAL DISREGARD ME and my guest AFTER INTRODUCING HERSELF. AND HAVE ANOTHER SERVER COMING TO ME APOLOGIZING TO ME ABOUT THE SITUATION. How the previous serve acted with explanation.I totally do not understand why a server will conduct herself like that. Especially if shes working for tips. Server should never assume who will be coming down. Maybe its from past experience. Respect one another. Especially if you do not know who they are or know where they are coming from. I would have a experience FOH Manager running the front. And not having a manager /Server doing everything

Disappointed. —Friday, 10 January 2020: Flipping the lights off while a patron is still in your restaurant is never an acceptable way to inform them that you’re about to close. Ever. And then, when she says that Google indicated you’re open for two more hours (until 6pm), don’t argue or give her attitude, apologize for the inconvenience and have it fixed. Why would an employee ever treat someone this way? I’ll tell you why: at BEST they’re either lazy, poorly trained, and lack manners, OR (at worst) discriminatory. You tell me why this exchange played out this way. The courteous, dignified way to do business is to walk over, excuse yourself and kindly look them in the eye and inform them that you are closing in 10 minutes. To do any less is unsatisfactory. Treat others (...especially customers...) with respect. Every time. In front of a crowd, or if it’s a solitary person. I genuinely hope this is taken care of; not for my sake, for this community’s.

Just a little shop run by a husband/wife Brit-Thai team.  Basic, simple, good food, the formula works well.DECOR Quirky-comfortable.  Cafe meets deli meets yard sale.  We often go on Sunday when they divide the table area into self-service and full-service, a nice touch for a little shop.  No high-end here, but the heavy use of the place does get good care.SERVICE Super-nice people.  The British fellow always has a funny quip about something, and seems genuinely interested in his restaurant.  Servers are quiet and attentive.FOOD Again not high-end, nor at all inventive, but you can get American-style or (true) British-style breakfasts, plus a smattering of other typical cafe fare.  What is important here, however, is that we often order in a way that is too challenging for careless line cooks.  One eggs over hard and one eggs over easy gets screwed up an unbelievable number of times, but not only does Extra Perks get it right but the food is always beautifully prepared and delicious.  They clearly seem to care.

Thursday morning ordered the bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Cheese was simply placed on the English muffin and not melted at all. When I asked for it to be melted they melted it in the microwave to the point where the cheese nearly evaporated into the bread. The bacon was the “pre cooked” super processed bacon such as the Oscar Meyer brand. The butter for my toast was impossible to spread because it was nearly frozen. The coffee tasted burnt. Just overall terrible lazily made breakfast. I’m super disappointed and almost angry I spent my money here.
