Aweful, the absolute worst, I mean in every possible way.I know its hard to get good employees these days, but this is ridiculous, and they arent really busy.Rule number one in customer service, do your best to acknowledge and help everyone, but stick with the customer who is spending money, not the one telling fishing stories.Any five star reviews on this page are made up.

Right out front, the only reason Im giving them a five star review is because of the employees I interacted with. From counters to the sales floor and the registers, they were just the best this day. Sometimes the best part about a store isnt what they are selling. Sometimes it all comes down to the people working there. Thank you for all the help and a great experience.

Although there was alot of staff available and visible, few were actually working. Sylvia was great with my return and license issuing as she was patient and still quick to process it. I originally intended to exchange a item I purchased however the two employees at the gun counter, Nathaniel and Adam I believe seemed to avoid approaching customers. So much for a new sight. I will give credit to the older employee restocking near by as she was trying her best to organize her section. Definitely a long line at the check out area regardless of time or day. Over all employees like Sylvia and the older one restocking represent the store well.

So I like to work out I also love to Shop for clothes fishing reels as well as fitness gear they have every thing you need and its always a peaceful shop for my fiance and I even our kids love it they always get something lol

Wide variety of outdoor selection and very competitive prices. I went to buy school shoes for my stepson and found a nice variety of styles from name brands at great prices. I asked one associate for help and he was very polite and helpful. Checkout was fast and simple. I enjoyed the shopping experience.

Found what we needed even though the girl we asked on the phone was adamant they didnt have it. She was nice but uneducated. In store staff were friendly also. Store was clean!

Academy used to be a great place for women to buy jeans. They quit selling them years ago, but have now started selling mens jeans. Ive noticed every time I go in there, they are more geared towards men than women.I love Under Armour, but they have this teeny, tiny little section for women. Go to the mens section, and they have tons of it!They need to understand that women buy and wear their goods, just as much as men. Its just frustrating...

Went in to purchase a gun. Four employees at the counter helping only one guest? Is that your definition of customer service? No one ever even asked me if I needed help. Will be taking my money elsewhere. You just let $1000 walk out the door.

ORDERED some hunting clothing online for in store pick up... ALL clothing was supposed to be Realtree Camo...however the person who picked the clothes out obviously doesnt know and is blind since it is a picture of each item on the order. One pant, only one was Realtree. The rest was Mossy oak, however not fall mossy oak...spring camo...bright green leaves. Just go to store and pick your on camo out. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE!

They wanted me to pay almost full price for an even exchange because I didnt have a receipt. Sad!

Great as always. Our go to place for most of our fishing needs. This visit my husband bought a fishing pole. Were always very satisfied with the products and the return policy is great also.

It was freaky. Theyve made big changes in the store. Its like they are programming people and I got some bad vibes from inside the store. I wasnt the only one. Others were talking about it too.

Was looking for specialized hiking gear which there wasnt much of. To be fair though I didnt really expect them to carry those items here in Louisiana.

The only problem I have with Academy Sports is they refuse to keep their restrooms cleaned. Every time I go in the toilets are stopped up and fece all over the floor and walls

Pretty much anything and everything- sporting goods is a little understocked but thats pretty much the state of things anywhere you go- but love the selection and prices are reasonable. These are everywhere so if youve never been Im sure one is not too far- stop by and check them out.

Plain old flip flops are now 20 bucks! Talk about inflation.

Although the store was packed due to Christmas, it was still an enjoyable experience. The employees are extremely helpful and efficient. They had plenty of stock and gave me several gift ideas about which I hadnt initially thought. Ill definitely be returning for Easter and future holidays. Thanks so much 😉

I enjoy going Academy for my fishing needs, however, my wife and girls have become fans too. They like shoes sport clothes etc. Academy is no longer exclusively my outing. Its become a family affair.

I like coming here but at the same time I hate it because trying to find help is impossible and the prices of Levi jeans $70 and up is outrageous people are trying to survive paying bills and raising kids buying for kids and normal day day stuff. Very clean store though. So Im rating it a 2 for prices and trying to find help.

-⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Rude ppl. Wont let you do an even exchange unless you have receipt. Well you can but but you will end of paying for it. Had 4 shirts, needed different size, got for Christmas. Went get right sizes but bc I didnt have the receipt ( who does for a gift) they wouldnt give it to me for and even exchange. The price on shirts were 20, they would only give me 15... so I would have to pay to exchange. In what universe does that make sense? I could understand if I wanted money back but to switch out for a different size... Not a very good policy. If I could give zero stars or -5 stars.

Completely out of stock on everything I came in to purchase....I gave them 2 stars instead of only 1 because they DID have a skateboard, set of pads, and lovely unicorn helmet that my daughter just HAD to have.🙄

I’m giving this location 5 stars because two of their employees were so great. I was in there tonight and my new CC I got wasn’t approving and I ended up on the phone with 4 different customer service people and my 7 month old was screaming and I was so flustered and frustrated. Ciera the cashier was patient and understanding and I appreciated that and Laycey noticed I was having a hard time and came over and offered help. She held my baby and comforted him and kept him happy while I finished my call and I was tearing up because it meant so much. These 2 employees were so amazing and I’m so grateful.

I always seem to find just what I need when I go in there. And if for some reason I cant seem to locate the item theres always a sales associate nearby that is knowledgeable of the store. These are qualities that you just dont come by very often these days and businesses unfortunately. So thanks.

Items priced wrong get to register and it not what the price on shelf.

Tried to get someone to unlock the glass door. I asked the man at the entrance and he said ok. 15 minutes later nobody showed up. So I called the front desk they said they would get someone over there. I waited another 20 minutes and still nobody showed up. I will not be back to this store. Its probably because im white and the lady working was black so she refused to help me because of my color.

Their camping and knife selections have been slim lately but maybe its a covid thing. All in all, I still love wondering up and down every isle. Came across this mOfO of mayhem and Liberty during todays interior window shopping adventure

Went to there today mainly for tax free. Paid for my things and went outside and looked at receipt and was charged tax. Went back in and talked to manager and had no idea about the taxes. So everyone that was there this morning check your receipt. I did not get my money back.

Ordered a 1sack crawfish boiler. Went to curbside pickup and they brought out a 2 sack boiler. Had to wait for an exchange to be done in store to get the right one.

No service. I know with Vivid it is hard to get merchandise in but we called and no one ever answered in the department. Go to the store and there is no one to help us. One person in the guns and he is filling out paperwork. If you are going to run a store hire some help

Academy needs more employees on the floor during the day. Its hell trying to find help, and the lines at the registers are slow moving.

Little expensive, and slow at check out. On Tuesday at 12:55pm.

Academy is a good place to shop they have a variety of Merchandise and Affordable but last 2 times I went within a month they dont have enough checkouts open only 3 or 4 and the lines are full and I had to wait 20 to 25 to get checked out thats ridiculous if all the registers was open and there backed up then thats understandable there just real busy but only opening 3 or 4 no thats not acceptable, I understand they might of thought it would be a slow day but when you see employees walking around and your busier than you thought the manager should open more checkout lines.End of rant.

My husband was in the store today in the sporting dept. And he ask for help with a item and the employee was very rude and insulting.

This location has the worst customer service. You cannot find someone to help you and if you do find someone they call for someone else who wont show up. Just needed display shoes removed from a security line so that I could buy them. Ended up having to remove them myself and then waiting in line for one of two cashiers cas had a line a mile long. On the plus the store itself is nice.
