My scoop of Mackinac Island Fudge was a great introduction to Kilwins, creamy and loaded with fudge. The chocolates, fudge, and other treats were tempting, but would never make it home in the summer heat. Ill just have to limit what I buy to what I can eat until the fall.

A great little chocolate shop. So many things to choose, from kettle corn to fudge to a milkshakes. And a fudge brownie milkshake was what I had. The only size is 20oz, and it was good. I think they could have blended it better because there was a lot of Brownie at the bottom that I needed to use a spoon. But it was expensive, and Im not sure I got my moneys worth.

The shop smells divine upon entering, however, it was empty on the hottest day of the month ** possible red flag** I had a waffle bowl -- with half cake batter, half butter pecan, topped with whipped cream and sprinkles. It was good. They do not provide samples, so I was very hesitant to try something new. Also, they have several sweet treats, but did not have brownies for ice cream sundaes, with I thought was also odd. All in all an average experience. But I wish there was more variety in options.

Great ice cream place to go to, they have all kind of ice creams, candies, and other sweets. I got the chocolate chip cookie dough with sprinkles, definitely worth the price. Do wish they have more topping options, but was not a big deal to me. It’s a great shop to check out in Old Town for some desserts.

I ordered through Door Dash and called Kilwin’s to explain my order because it wasn’t easy to order a sundae and milkshake online. Two minutes later, I received a notice that my order was cancelled. No problem, I will go someplace else. Kilwan’s was always my first stop on my visit to Alexandria and now, I will never go there again.

I ordered blueberry and it was so yummy. Also, the staff was so friendly.

This place sells the best ice cream and the best FUDGE anywhere......anywhere....its 1 am and I had to hit that piece of fudge that Im tryin to make it last.....

The coconut ice cream is one of the best Ive ever had. They make their own waffle cones too. The candy turtles are also very good. This place is expensive even for Old Town.

This delicious place has not only ice cream but Carmel apples, chocolates, & all sorts of other sweets. A must visit if you go to this area. (I went there twice)

Great taste. We had the pistachio cone and it was so rich and flavorful. small shop but with a lot of options to buy from. location is great next to the market square, we had a stroll and then sat and enjoyed the ice cream.

Kilwins fudge is one of our favorites! We have never been disappointed before. But our last batch we got from the Alexandria location, our first visit to that particular store, was not as expected. All three pieces were hard and dry, especially the German chocolate one, which was like a brick! The taste was OK, but it’s not supposed to be completely dried out, but soft and smooth. The classic chocolate fudge was at least a bit softer in the middle, but still very dry on the outside.

OM!!! The ice was awesome! I had the Butter Pecan and it taste as if it was homemade. I’ll be returning for more!!

WOW!!! This Kilwins in Old Town had the friendliest staff working when we stopped in on a HOT Thursday evening. The double chocolate fudge is deliciously rich in flavor, but I always leave room for a waffle cone with a scoop of the MARSH MALLOW SMORES ICE CREAM - ITS TO DIE FOR! Definitely the go-to Ice Cream store in Old Town!

Did an online order for ice cream. It was easy and so was picking it up. Blue Moon, Superman and Traverse City Cherry are what we ordered. It was like summer vacations in Ludington, MI at the House of Flavors but in Va.

A fully authentic classical sweets shop, it pulls out all the stops in its house made taffee and chocolate concoctions. I had a lovely experience with the ice cream and the staff made sure to get comfortable in like youre one of the family, I cant wait to come back!

Kilwins chocolate treats for our favor bag were a great hit. Easy to arrange, all individually wrapped and were set aside at the count for me to pick up on the day arranged. Since we go there all the time anyway was the right thing to share with our friends.

The ice cream and free samples make this place a local staple- plus it’s from Michigan!The only downside is the insane $$ for a small scoop!

We love it! We go there maybe once a month or more. And we always get the chocolate covered Oreos. They have a nice packaging and love it when they pack the truffles in separate tiny bags! Just yesterday I tired the new coconut cover oreos with caramel and OMG so good!

Please put the ordering section at the door! Went by there today and some customers are not wearing masks putting everyone at risk. No one wants to walk into a building. Just let us order from outside it will be safer for everyone. So sad that I couldn’t get some of your excellent ice cream today.

As long as youre not getting too much of the small chocolates, this place is reasonably priced. That being said, the chocolate here is delicious. Definitely would recommend the fudge. Half a slice will cost you around $5 and youll still get a good amount of fudge.

Best Ice cream I have ever had. They are a total confectioner. They make everything in house and it is all very good, but the ice cream is the best. They have a signature that changes names depending on the location. But you cant go wrong with any choice.

They serve fudge and ice cream. I am not a fudge person(too sweet for me), but I sampled the toasted coconut which was nice. My sister who has been here before recommended the s’mores flavor ice cream. It was really unique with the marshmallow texture. Definitely recommend it. It is a little expensive but the scoop is large.

I love this place because of the variety of desserts they have. The place is clean & neat with great staff. The location is marvelous for walk while enjoying on your ice cream. Sometimes you can catch the mouth watering moment of them preparing chocolate. The prices are reasonable given that it is located in the heart of Alexandria.

Friendly service and good ice-cream. A single scoop is huge so it is pricey. My only negative feedback is no place to sit and in the winter, the last thing I want to do is take my cup of ice-cream outside. Ill save my return trip for the summer.

I LOVE THEIR FOODS. But the staff was so rude to the last time I was there. They made fun of my pronunciation, while they were making fun they made me wait for my spoon long enough that my ice cream started to melt. I was so embarrassed I wanted to cry.

There are many good ice cream places in Alexandria, but this one is by far the BEST. Always fantastic customer service by the always courteous, friendly, and [seemingly] happy staff... though, Id be happy to work around ice cream this good all day.Oh, they have plenty of other sweets, but the ice cream is so good I havent tried anything else yet.

This is my favorite ice cream spot in all of Old Town. Their waffle cones are amazing. You can taste any type of fudge and watch them make fresh treats in the window. I always splurge and get a waffle cone with 2 scoops. If you do the Ghost Tour you can get a 10% discount as well :)

OMG! If they did not post the calories on everything, who knows what I would eat. The ice cream is fantastic! The fudge is fantastic. Definitely my go to place for my sweet tooth!

I dislike being negative but if Im being honest Kilwins fudge was terrible. It was dry and crumbly - 2 characteristics which fudge should not ever have.I read a few candy-making books, as well as, researched on-line for reasons why fudge turns out dry and crumbly. All the experts say this is because it was not made correctly; over mixing to be exact.Since we purchased 3 different types of fudge (its not inexpensive either) and ALL 3 were sadly dry and crumbly - Kilwins is either having quality control issues OR they simply cannot properly make tasty fudge.The other candies we purchased were very good but it was a very disappointing experience because we were there specifically for the fudge (and peanut brittle - which is excellent) for our friend visiting from Germany.
