I stopped by last Saturday after seeing a few of their videos on Facebook that week. Im in the Fort Worth area and our friend owns a Grand Design Imagine, which he highly recommends, so it was worth the drive. Still deciding on the floor layout since I have a dog but that’s definitely the brand Im after.

Ive tried for over a week to get these people to order two parts for our RV. Just the parts. No real hard labor for them. Yet after one email to Grand Design I got a response in 3 hours saying they havent heard from anyone. After reading reviews for this place it seems like once the sale is made you dont give any thought your customers. Thats petty and unprofessional. I advise people to steer clear of this place, it sounds like a low class camping world.

We saw online that Primeaux RV in Alexandria had just gotten in a Keystone Cougar 29 RKS half-ton 5th wheel that we wanted to look at and see if the pictures online were correct. When we got there Kennon was a joy to work with and was extremely helpful. We weren’t planning on purchasing that day but Kennon fought for us and negotiated a wonderful deal that we could not let slip away. Employees were friendly hard working. This company poorly trained them. Management not friendly. Held deposit longer than necessary. Does not set up rv for you. Floor plans for these rvs dont have much space. This company does not deserve the hardworking. Employes they have. Did not buy rv from this company. Lacks professionalism and customer friendly policies.

I stopped in to look at the available inventory. We found a unit that we were interested in. We went to the sales office. I spoke with Jeremy he was somewhat friendly but I didn’t find any of the salespersons overly friendly. We decided on a unit he ran my credit said that I would have to put $2000 down and a note of $270 a month! We were still willing then they changed the terms to $3800 down! I did the math they wanted me to pay $37,000 for a $15,000 trailer! Yes I have a divorce and my ex wife hurt my credit but this is robbery and they shouldn’t quote a deal then change the terms. Stay away from this place.

Staff seemed nice but after purchased an expensive product from them and discovered its defective no one wants to talk to me now. All i want is to either return the product or exchange it for another one. I call they transfer me to someone else and its a voice-mail system and no one returns my call. It happens over and over again.......update, finally got call back after posting review, i have owned and lived in Rvs for over thirty years. I have been too and dealt with countless Rv dealerships all over the us and they sadly fall into the majorty crowd, eger too take your money but wont stand be hind the products they sale. Give the runaround, we didnt install it, you have to deal with the manufacturer, manufacturer says you have to deal with the place you bought it. Do yourselves a favor and skip this place,lot less heartburn going elsewhere....in my opinion!

This company doesn’t believe in customer-led customer service. Communication skills aren’t very good. Will literally sell a unit out from under you without forewarning you - then try to twist the details around to make it look like the customer’s fault. Shady business practices!

Primeaux was our 2nd stop, we were already dissatisfied due to the lack of interest in us at the previous RV dealer but when we got to Primeaux we were greeted and felt not only welcomed but valued. We meet Kennon our salesman and was immediately impressed. Kennon showed respect and willingness to help us in every way he could to make our shopping experience pleasant, thank you Kennon for doing just that especially with this being our first camper. I called Specialty Hitches regarding getting warrantee work performed on my 2018 trailer and they made me an appointment for the very next day. I did not purchase the trailer from them but they still treated me as a valued customer. I use the trailer for work and it’s currently in the middle of my busy season so I did not have the ability to leave my trailer at the shop for weeks or even days. I explained this to them and they had me in and out the same day for both the inspection appointment and the equipment replacement appointment. The service technician personally showed me that the new equipment was working properly and asked if there was any other issues that I needed him to look at.They thanked me for coming to Specialty Hitches and wished me safe travels.I give them 100/100 for customer service, product knowledge, and timely resolution.In the future if I have any more issues with my trailer I may drive the distance to Specialty Hitches to get the work done.I never expected it to be so easy.

I came looking for an RV and what I got instead was expert guidance from the sales consultant Jay Wooley. My wife and I had some pretty specific needs and he was able to guide us to an rv that was within our price range and was absolutely perfect for what we needed. If youre looking for an rv or camper I highly recommend Jay and Primeaux RV Superstore.

Had a similar yet more costly experience as the other person to place a review on this business. I brought a horse trailer needing a new air conditioner and tank in to specialty hitch and requested that they provide an estimate before initiating any work. After two weeks I had not received a phone call providing any information so I called them back. Talked to the owner Ed who stated it would cost $1,500-$1,600 to replace the air conditioner and tank. I later received another call stating a second tank needed to be replaced at an additional cost of $300. Upon arrival I was given a bill for $2,695. When I spoke with the owner and told him this was significantly more than he quoted he said he never provided a quote of $1,500-$1,600 over the phone. He offered no compromise despite the bill being significantly more than what was originally quoted. No one ever provided a courtesy call to let me know that the bill was going to be significantly more than originally quoted and the owner showed absolutely no remorse or offered any type of customer service / concern about the charges. Since the trailer was on his lot I had no choice but to pay for the invoice. I will never purchase any additional products / services from this business and I would be very wary of having repair services completed there. Buyer Beware.

Sounds like I should have read some of these reviews first! Yes, they are very excited to sell you the RV, but their interest (primarily the Sales Mgrs) practically disappears the moment you sign the paperwork. We are first time RV owners and relied too heavily on their guarantee that we would know what to do after the walk-through. If you are new to RVs (and *especially* if you are a female), dont buy from these guys! (Also, the sales mgr - Jeremy, I think - has a very sleezy used car salesman vibe! My apologies to all used car salesmen.) In hindsight, I would have done much more research before showing up to pick-up my RV, so that I would have know what to ask.I really liked the salesman at Cenla; unfortunately, I liked the design of one of the RVs at Primeaux more. I wish I would have selected one at Cenla (or gone to the Lafayette location of Primeaux, which I guess is where Ill have to drag it for service in the future!).

My husband and I just got our new camper. We absolutely love it. The staff of specially hitches where such a blessing to work with. They took there time and showed us probably everything on the lot. Reasonable prices, but GREAT customer service all the way from the salesperson to the finance manager, to the ladies in the front store to guys in the back shop putting everything together, honestly pleased with my experience so far, HIGHLY recommend!

I normally do not like to talk badly about a business and have frankly never written a bad review, but I had an extremely negative experience today that just really got me very upset and I would like to share this NON-RECOMMENDATION for Specialty Hitches & RV Center located on Bolton Avenue in Alexandria, LA. This morning my husband called this company and asked them for an out the door price he was quoted one price and understood that to be tax included. I called back to ask if they could price match a place called Twisted Off-road in Lake Charles. He said he could not. Even though I understood that it would be $20 more I chose to buy from them due to convenience. I paid them over the phone with my credit card and when my mother-in-law picked the merchandise up I was charged $41.00 more then the quoted price! I called and spoke to the owner and he would not stand by the price told to us that morning. When I asked if I could return the item so I could go where it would be a total of $64 cheaper. I was told that I could return the product, BUT...would be charged an 8% restocking fee!Sooooo....on top of not standing by the price we were told, they wanted to charge ME for their incompetence. To me, a person should stand behind their word, this is just bad business and would not recommend any of my friends or family to go there. I only have them a one-star because zero was not an option

I just thought I would let anyone who is considering doing business with this company know what they have to look forward to. My husband and I just purchased a brand new camper from this company 2 weeks ago. Since our purchase we have had a severe water leak, a hot water heater that only works on gas and not electric and we have a thermostat that doesnt work. They also put a tv in the camper upon our request which was supposed to be included to begin with that was used and not the correct size for the space it goes in. We purchased this camper with a 3 year warranty and have since been given nothing but a run around. I spoke with the owner Ed, who has horrible customer service and preferred to talk down to me instead of trying to assist with my issues. They refuse to stand by their product and now will not return any of my phone calls. So in short I would like to say if you are considering purchasing a camper please look elsewhere. Do not do business with this company.

The damn sales Dept. Loves to make the sale, but if you have problems find another service department.. I had AC problems in a 2018 30ft bumper pull supposed to be top of the line.. I was told to bring it in, first thing they did was take the tanks off and not plug it in,so I lost all my food,black mildew to Clean up when I get back. After 2 weeks they supposedly get the AC part, filter was still dirty and had the same problem when I got home.. Ive called the owner 4 times and still no return call. I bought this in Aug. And dont have the registration too sell it our trade on another one probably out of too town.. But me and the MFG are going to have a conversation first. Im in the response I get from their owner or CEO because Ill call everyday until he talkes to me

I give them a 1 ONLY because 0 isnt an option. Terrible place. People are nice but if something needs to be fixed with or without a warranty dont count on them fixing it. Their way of fixing this is caulk. NOT KIDDING. I bought my camper there and it needed work within 2 months of purchasing the NEW camper. 5 visits later my camper is now ruined because of shotty work. DO NOT BUY OR USE THEM AT ALL.

Had our 5th wheel there for a month. Our black and grey tanks would always leak so, we had our extended warranty take care of it. Long story short, the owner approved the work to be initiated and completed but, didnt check with the warranty folks. Rightfully so, since the work was completed prior to authorization, the warranty people denied the claim. So, luckily someone quoted $300 that I may have to pay vs. the $1800 he was seeking.Also, when they repaired the pipes, they didnt put all the bolts back into the frame. Had pipes and the underneath exposed and swinging freely.

Helpful, clean, well stocked and maintained, although they did not have the part I was looking for.

Happy to sell you something but could care less afterwards. Bring it in for repairs afterwards thinking youd be treated well beings it was purchased there brand new. Wrong. They could care less about fixing anything in a timely manner nor do they have skilled workers to do the repairs. Noone there can answer anything about repairs. Sorry but very incompetent people. Would give 0stars

Brought my camper here to get inspection done before a trip and replace bulbs in my left tail light that was out. I was told all the work was done to my camper so I went to pick it up today. I get there and no inspection was done, so they didnt even do the work I wanted done. Checked my left tail light it didnt work either and the lens cap was put on upside down. I wouldnt recommend doing any business here very incompetent people. Then the owner had the nerve to have a worker tell me he apologized. As a business owner I am going to come and talk to you and resolve the issue as it is my responsibility. I then brought my camper across the road to Cenla Rv that day and they began working on it immediately. All in all Im glad I had this experience now before I buy my new camper this winter. Definitely going to Cenla Rv!
