This store used to be great a few years ago, but not anymore. What happened??? Employees are few and difficult to find. Many long-time employees are gone. Sad.

Was greeted right after entering. The store.the store was clean. All but one employee was helpful and friendly. Victoria was unhelpful and gave me the feeling I was bothering her. When I asked her if I should go some place else to get paint mixed to match the color of spray paint I was buying. She said I would need to go somewhere else. She was the employee that was working in the paint department. I did but the 2 cans of spary paint but didnt buy a gallon of matching paint. I did notified a manager and stated he would talk with here. The store was also well lit. The parking lot was clean.

Great customer service. I called to check availability on the fencing supplies I needed, when I arrived at the store they had the print out of my fence supplies on the counter in the building materials area and were expecting me. I hadnt realized that the lumber yard was a self service area, so I asked for assistance in getting everything loaded since I was on my own. A very kind yard employee (I did not get his name) spent the next 35 minutes helping me find all of my supplies and get them loaded into my truck.

Had what I was looking for at reasonable price.

Menards sucks. Every time I go in there its nothing but a headache. Builders desk staff are not very knowledgeable and dont pay attention. Wasted an hour today to get 2 timbers. Will only return to this store if it is my only option...

I like Menards for the quality of products and the 11% rebate. We have been here many times for tons of different reasons. The service is hit or miss depending on what department you are in. We purchased our fencing materials and it was a mess. My husband had to go 3 separate times to try to pick up materials that they said were in stock but were not. Wish they were more organized.

If I could give negative stars I would.... Terrible customer service. When you call a department the phone just continues to ring. When you call front desk you get the same result. Just wanted to make sure a product was in.... now i will shop elsewhere. Terrible service and poor management.

My wife and I had an enjoyable time shopping the Alexandria Menards today. What a huge variety of items to choose from! Plus, the 11% rebate was going on so we saved money on our purchases today, plus I used a rebate payment check from Menards at the checkout till. Several employees on the store floor, and in the garden center, happily directed us to the location of our desired items. Then, the super efficient and pleasant check out employee wiped down the counter and the credit card machine between each customer. Everybody in the store was masked up. Very pleasant experience.

Menards is one of my favorite stores to shop. However, sometimes, the store is a little unorganized making it difficult to find items. Prices are reasonable, and the 11% rebate is awesome!

Menards is a decent place to shop. My only problem with them is they are run by democrats. They impose the mask guidelines like they were written by the almighty lord and savior. They need to relax a bit now that the science shows that most people are vaccinated. I guess when the risk is 0 then maybe you might not have to have one on in their store...even with a medical condition that prohibits you from wearing a mask is not good enough for them. I think the guy in Hutchinson had enough of their mask law

The staff at service counter were very helpful with my return. The staff at the yard gate and pickup were patient and informative. All very kind.

More expensive for the same roll of plastic than fleet farm. $85 at menards $80 at fleet farm.

Absolutely horrible customer service. Called to order paint was told,it will take more time to write this down then for you to just come in. told me to order on line which I could not complete because website is awful. Done.

The people are super helpful every time Ive visited, and store always well stocked. Prices are great too on most things. I wish we had Menards down south where I live.

Asked for a drill water pump. Directed to plumbing.....than directed to hardware......than directed to outside garden and plumbing. Finally went to help desk. Walked around with manager for 10 more minutes until she gave up and went back to help desk. Very frustrating that the people working there have difficulty knowing and finding their own products they sell. The female in the hardware department acted as if I was a bother to her.....which was very uncomfortable and awkward. Finally a man in automotive brought me the drill pump. This kind of service is expected upon entering the building. There is a couple really knowledgable people there....which I try and find right off...but they dont work 24-7.

After years of spending thousands in this Alexandria MN store I just got fleeced. At the sole discretion of the store manager I was charged a $200 restock fee. Its going to be a long time before I will forget this horrible customer service. Why on earth do they advertise when one bad decision can destroy customer loyalty. I understand restock fees and whats necessary to stay in business but $200 is excessive and the manager could have made it less at his sole discretion.

All in all it was a good trip lots of stuff out if stock... But it is what it us due to the pandemic

Im done doing business here. After the screw up with my kitchen cabinets that were 11 grand, siding that was 2 grand and now my $1500.00 bathroom vanity that I waited 4 months for that came the wrong color yesterday. I will never do business at Menards specially in Alexandria MN. And then when I called today they told me they would waive the 25% restocking fee. ARE YOU KIDDING ME

Was about to check out a very rude employee approached me and would not let me check out without a Mask. I havent worn mask since this whole Scamdemic started. I left the items in the cart and walked out. I will never shop at Menards ever again store is ran by Democrats!

Waited for an hour or more to bring out wood pellets to the floor then walked up to use the restroom and one of the associates is stacking bags of pellets up by the cash registers with them knowing I was waiting. Was not pleased with the service.

Menards is the only store in town, until recently, that you could not bring your kids in. This is unrealistic quite often, and forced me to bring my business elsewhere on multiple occasions. Based on my experiences recently at Menards and other family and friends experiences, they are more worried about being a COVID cop than they are about providing customer service.

I had a very good experience shopping at Menards. A store associate, Benson, helped me find some things l needed to make some home repairs. He was helpful beyond belief. Another day l was trying to maneuver a heavy purchase and four young men and women(employees) offered to help me, at different times throughout the store. I am very impressed with the politeness, kindness and knowledge of your employees at the Alexandria, MN Menards.

Very organized and friendly staff nice place to shop TO get everything you need at one time

I worked in a Menards in another state about 12 years ago. I worked in building materials and the yard through college. While I have decent service when I purchase something from the yard, I mostly spend time trying to find someone to help. Not sure if things have changed but we were always taught to approach every customer you see to see if they need help. It seems that the yardworkers here practice avoiding you if they can. I understand that some of the workers in the yard are pulling loads for delivery, however, we were still told to stop and ask each customer if they need assistance, this doesnt happen here. We were also told to walk along with the customer if they were trying to find something in the store, this happens for me approximately 10% of the time.

If you like to be discriminated against your beliefs go to Menards . They will kick you out for what you believe in

We went to purchase a fire table yesterday. Matt in the outdoor/patio furniture area was extremely rude to us. We asked if a table that we saw online was on display, it wasn’t. We asked if the item was in stock so we could see it (hard to buy something for $500 without first seeing it). Matt stated that he’d go check. He went and came back a while later with it on a flatbed cart. We asked if we could open the box just to look at it (wanting to make sure we knew what we were buying before we brought it home), he immediately said “I’ll go put it back on the shelf it’s fine you don’t want it.” We asked again to just look at it and he said “I’m putting it back on the shelf, you don’t want it, I haven’t had time to build a new demo for the floor of this. You just don’t want it.” We never asked for him to build it, we never asked for him to bring the large item to us and we definitely never said we didn’t want it. We simply asked if the item was in stock and if we could view it before purchasing. When we asked to speak to a manager, we waited over 15 minutes. One employee paged two managers (who never showed up) and one employee just pointed us in the direction of where he saw a manager “a while ago.” Extremely poor customer service at this location and very rude employees!

Had a great experience at Menards today! A young man named Jackson actually helped us load our truck, like they did in the old days. That young man has a great future. We love Menards, they mostly always have what we need!

Staff was friendly and helpful, isles are laid out nicely and the signs are nice and big so you know where everything is. It was a clean facility, and the prices are good.

I believe Menards is doing a great job during this covid outbreak! I understand it can be very difficult for some people but they are doing their part to slow the spread. So I appreciate their hard work, the must wear masks route. They are protecting us customers at the same time their employees and thats very important during this tough time! Good job Menards!

I was there today trying to purchase several hundred dollars worth of material and hardware. When I was confronted by the manager who was very rude and shaming. All because I wasnt wearing a mask to his standards. I have severe health and lung issues and I cant wear the masks if I do Im compromising my own health. To me this is clearly discrimination against those with health and medical conditions.If this is how Menards is going to treat their customers then I will never step foot in a Menards again Ill make the extra drive to Home Depot where I know I will be treated with respect.So I urge all of you to shop elsewhere I Know I am. No one deserves to be disrespected the way he did me today...

Screamed at my wife while she was in her own car picking up a special order because she wasn’t wearing her mask in her own car. Spent 50.000 a year there, haven’t spent a dime since.

Going to buy lumber for a project,Wouldnt let me in because of no mask, I and 2 others (one not with me) with out masks refused to buy a mask to shop there. Will be shopping else where from now on.Went across the street to fleet farm. Bought Dog food and weed treatment plus other stuff. Will be going to the lumber yard for the lumber on Monday. Good bye Menards forever Ace hardware store will be getting more biz and assorted stores!

Went in for a variety of different things and 3 different items in 3 different departments were totally out of stock. These are items are are supposed to be in store and have a tag on the shelf, there just wasnt inventory. There were many other things that I wasnt looking for that also werent in stock. Pretty disappointing compared to the Menards down in the metro area.

I have a child with autism and had to send him out of the store before an associate would even tell me where the product was that I was looking for. I told him he has a health condition as the other 4 of us were masked. He said his associates did too but still have to mask. My son is not your employee. Then to top it off, the inventory said the product was in stock but when I asked the same guy he said it wasnt and they are 2 weeks late in delivery. So apparently excuses work for his incompetent company but not for a non-compliant child. What a crock. Shop elsewhere

They have almost everything you could want

Has a ever expanding inventory including a new kitchen sink! Great stop for the essentials. Even milk and eggs. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean and organized. Excellent display and selection of seasonal items.

Apparently with all of the mandates being lifted, Menards feels the need to still require masks on vaccinated people. Ill spend my money somewhere else going forward, thank you

They probably have what you want, but good luck not walking back and forth between the registers up front and the pick up area in back if you ever need to purchase something in store and pick up out back.

Its menards, what do you expect? Only complaint is they never have enough checkouts open. Otherwise, good place.

Went in during covid mask days, and everyone was polite and helpful. Went to multiple departments and I needed help, at each one an employee was readily accessible and helpful. Ordered some special lumber for pick up, drove an hour to get there, and the wood I ordered was great, but the 4x4 cedar posts were really picked through in the size I pre purchased... but they allowed me to get the next size up with no charge. Top notch service. Thank you!

Great place with some good deals most of the time. I wish the prices online were the prices in store. Only issue is items being in the wrong places with wrong prices. I bought a 5 amp cordless battery that was on the shelf with a price tag of 59.99 and didnt find out until i checked out that the actual price was 99.99 and all i got was a sorry. No bit of compensation for it being in the wrong place with the wrong price.

Cheap 2nds stock. Buy light bulbs Led and they work for a month. Everything I have ever bought here brakes right away. Air compressor, pressure washers ect. I dont shop here anymore for anything other than hardware. No one will ever help you. If anything they ignore you. Try and find everything you need at fleet farm

I went there to buy a Gun safe. Had my 6 yr old daughter with, and was stoped in the parking lot and told that she was not allowed to enter. Ill be taking my business elsewhere from now on!

I love coming here to get all sorts of stuff as we have been fixing up our house. They have a great selection and its a one stop shop for fixing up our house. The only reason that I didnt give it a 5 star is because almost any time I need help I cannot find anyone to help me. It has been improving recently but now I know where most everything is. But that is a small draw back to getting great deals!

Some employees are super cool and some make eye contact and ignore you at all costs. The lines are awful though. I was in line one time long enough to have kids, watch them grow up and write my obituary before i even made it to the front of the line.

The order on-line option is great but staffing and speed need improvement. The staff is compliant with covid19 mask and gloves but seems devoid of social distance concepts.
