I had a great experience getting my dress here and coming in to the alteration appointments. My dress is beautiful and I felt so good in it on my wedding day. Reasonably priced for Alexandria, too. Highly recommend!

An excellent selection of dresses with superb customer service! Farah was my consultant throughout the process. Shes very kind and knowledgeable and did a wonderful job taking my wishlist and giving me my dream dress. She was also very helpful throughout the alterations process and receptive to my needs. Even though I lived in a different state, Farah fast-tracked my final alterations so I could try on the dress before leaving and it turned out beautifully! Highly recommend this bridal shop.

I visited several bridal shops, including Kleinfeld in NY, and I must say Elegance by Roya in Alexandria has the best costumer service for all brides. It is very important for bridal consultants to listen carefully what the bride is looking for which I didnt get that at other bridal shops. However, that changed when I met Farah! From the day I said yes to both of my dresses, I called her my fairy godmother. She listened to exactly what I wanted and gave different options to pick from including to personalize my gown. What made my experience more amazing is that Farah was there to help me through all the fitting appointments and even to the day I picked up my dress. Throughout the whole process Farah was very attentive, caring and very flexible with all my requests and we had a great communication. Thank you Farah for all your help! Out of all the different Bridal Shops in the area that I had gone to, Elegance By Roya Bridal in Old Town Alex, had been the best experience and service all around. Abby was by far the most amazing helper and the first two dresses she had picked for me were exactly what I was envisioning! Not only did she have a great eye and understanding of what I wanted but our personalities clicked! She was friendly, laid back, and accommodating during my entire appointment. I felt completely relaxed with her during the whole appointment. My friends enjoyed her company as well! Id recommend this bridal shop to other brides and specifically Abby!!

I had the greatest experience at Elegance by Roya in Alexandria. Paola assisted me at my first appointment to buy my wedding gown. When I arrived, she asked to see photos for inspiration. Based on the photos, she picked out a gown on the spot and I immediately fell in love with it. It was the first gown I tried on! Farah assisted with alterations and veil shopping - this was surprisingly the hardest part. I had one set of alterations and the gown was/is PERFECT! She also helped me find the perfect veil at our last appointment. I am so grateful - thank you so much!!

Look no further - I had the BEST experience at Elegance, start to finish. Elegance has a great selection of dresses - with a wide diversity of very different styles, but most of all, I highly recommend working with Farah. She was gracious and lovely, so professional, and an expert in facilitating custom alterations. She recognized I was overwhelmed during my first appointment, and made it calm and fun. She gave her expert opinion on details and alterations, but listened to every preference I voiced throughout all the follow-up appointments. Elegance by Roya was my third bridal store and I was in zero rush to find my dress. I walked in with a vague idea of what I liked, a $2500 budget, and I was not planning to buy….Then, I met Paola. Paola was an incredible bridal consultant. I described my wedding venue and provided her ONE picture of a dress I liked, then she turned around and grabbed my first three dresses. Paola nailed it and all three dresses of the first dresses she chose were gorgeous. Since it was so early in my dress shopping experience, I wasn’t ready to buy….but I spent the next two weeks thinking about the second dress Paola had me try on.I went back in and Paola was sooooo patient. Paola put no pressure on me to purchase a dress, but her intuition was correct. I was in love with the second dress she picked, so I bought it during my second day in the store. We also stayed within my budget!I ended up purchasing an Allure bridal gown from their Abella collection. I called around and Elegance by Roya is the only store in the immediate DC area with this line of dresses.Thank you Paola for an amazing wedding dress shopping experience! They listened to the style I was looking for and came back with many options that matched my idea of what I wanted and I was excited to try on! They also brought one or two different styles to just to see something different. The whole experience was very professional and fun and the store was super clean. so happy I found my dress!

She was incredibly attentive and patient as I tried on many gowns. I ended up trying on the gown I purchased 5 times during my appointment. Attitude by Roya.While I had one pleasant encounter here, my second encounter was terrible and for that reason, I would not recommend shopping here. I came to the shop initially several months ago to find a dress but because of my destination wedding, I decided to get my gown from out of state. It was merely a decision of timing and logistics. Pleased with my first experience, I wanted to come back and get my veil and other accessories from Roya.I booked an appointment online. Arriving, I told the sales associate I was looking for a veil. She was immediately flustered and upset at me, stating she was confused as to why I booked an appointment when they do not book accessories appointments. I explained that I was not aware of this rule (the website only states that appointments are bridal appointments. It does not specify for gowns or otherwise) and if it would be possible to try gowns and veils to make the appointment fit the rules. I pointed to a dress I had tried on at my prior appointment and the sales associate told me that I couldnt try it on because it was a plus size and I wouldnt fit (little did she know, she was the same associate who put me in that dress several months before - and they always use clips anyway). She denied every request to make this appointment work and ended by having to check with the manager if it was okay to refund me the $50 deposit I paid.All I can say is, for a company in the service industry, you have no sense of service. I apologize for being an inexperienced bridal customer (how many times am I supposed to shop for a dress?) and not knowing your rules when your website does not specify. Yet, you treated me as an unwanted parasite and your sales associate lied to my face about putting me in a dress. Couldnt you have politely explained the situation? Since I had already booked an appointment, left my already busy work schedule early so I could come on time to your shop, and arrived on time, could you not have accommodated me to help YOU out by giving you MONEY? And by your good graces, you allowed me to take back my deposit - quite patronizing.Besides, I have been wracking my brain thinking of a rational business reason why Roya would not allow a customer to only purchase a veil or other accessory without a dress, and am at a loss. You realize I can walk down the street and hand the next bridal shop $2,000 and you just lost out on that? And also, I plan on steering all my soon-to-be-bride friends away from your store so you may feel a pinch later on. All because you simply have no sense of service and no ability to treat a customer with respect. Rules are sometimes good to have, but for Petes sake you are not the TSA, so be flexible in your approach if you want to continue a small business in this economy.I have happily given my thousands of dollars to another bridal store that treated me with respect and dignity.Attitude by Roya has a nice ring to it. Like another reviewer posted, I too thought I found my dress at a different bridal shop in Alexandria. Elegance by Roya was my last stop and should have been my first. I worked first with Paola who pulled several dresses for me based on what I was looking for. She found the perfect Essence of Australia dress for me which led me to bring my mom back to see it several weeks later. Abby worked with me on my return visit and was an incredible bridal consultant who selected a veil for me that complimented my dress. EBR is just that- truly an elegant and professional bridal shop that you can feel the second you walk into the beautifully designed and extremely well kept and spotless store. I highly recommend EBR to any bride in the DC area.

She also gave me the opportunity to try something I thought I would never like, and ultimately that ended up being the dress I loved the most, and the one that I said yes to! My mother, daughter, and I ventured into Elegance by Roya on a beautiful Saturday morning for my very first bridal gown appointment. I had not tried on gowns at all but went in with several gowns in mind while still remaining very open. If I am being honest- with the first dress that was brought over, I almost felt completely dejected. It was just not me at all. The second dress- more of the same. I was almost ready to just move on to the next appointment I had scheduled for later in the day. And that is when Farah stepped in. She brought over two more styles that encompassed everything I had envisioned. I tried on both- but completely and utterly fell in love with the last. So did everyone else- to include the rest of the salon staff. Seemingly- we all had a moment and it just felt right. Everyone stopped what they were doing, commented, and starred in awe. Pictures and videos were many! The girls were so friendly and rooting me on... You could feel it was genuine and not a sales strategy.Not wanting to move too quickly, I did venture off to another salon- just to be 1000% certain. I wanted to try on one very specific gown that my daughter loved. Farah asked to see that gown and I showed her. She agreed that it was gorgeous- even pulled up a video, but felt the dress I had just stepped out of was more ME. She even went so far as to call the other salon to ensure that they had the dress in store for me to try on. They did- and she asked them to move up my appointment so I could come in earlier to see the dress sooner- IN A WHOLE OTHER SALON! That right there blew me away. She was committed to me finding my dream dress, not just any dress.Needless to say- I tried on that other dress and while it was gorgeous and tough competition- Farah was right! My dream dress awaited me at Elegance by Roya where I retuned to seal the deal! I said YES to the dress and I could not be happier!Farah was amazing! She listened and really invested in our appointment. The rest of the staff was also incredible, and the receptionist just awesome- so warm and genuine. The salon itself is beautiful, clean, and sensitive to COVID safety measures. You will not be disappointed!

Elegance by Roya was hands down the best in out of other stores I visited. I visited Elegance by Roya in Tyson and also old town but ended up getting the dress in old town with Farah. Elegance by Roya had the best selection of dresses with good pricing. Farah was amazing, she went above and beyond to get my dream dress for my special day. I worked with Farah at Elegance by Roya and could not have been more THRILLED with my experience from start to finish. Not only did my dress turn out to be everything I could have ever dreamed, Farah made sure to make the process enjoyable from start to finish - from always being flexible with my tricky schedule (my mom lives far away and wanted to be there for the fittings) to helping pick accessories and make some weird adjustments to a train that worked for both my high heels and sneakers for the reception. I was initially assisted by Miriam in finding the most beautiful dress which I never thought would be possible given how intricate the design is. I showed Miriam what I was looking for and she found a similar design immediately. Farrah helped with the fittings and everything in between. Farrah puts her heart into this work and when I say she is amazing, she is AMAZING. They rushed to get everything done in time and gave me the best advice on every little detail. Farrah’s sidekick (whose name I can’t remember) that helped with the fittings is just as amazing.The shop if FILLED with beautiful dresses and wonderful, helpful, and professional staff. This place is amazing! I visited in January 2020 as my first stop on my dress hunt and ended up needing to go no further. Farah is awesome, I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, more so I knew what I didn’t want so she asked some questions and did her thing and my dress was gorgeous. My fittings after that all happened during the pandemic and she and her team all took precautions but still made the process smooth and enjoyable. Bought my dress off the rack. It was an Augusta Jones strapless dress and they worked with me to make a long sleeved lace jacket that would match. The final look was stunning. Like a completely transformed dress. This is the place to go if you’d like to made more dramatic alteration to your dress or if you’re going for a very specific dress.

I love the place and the dress variety but I mostly enjoyed working with Farrah she was very nice and made sure my dress fitted perfectly.

This dress shop was EXACTLY what I was looking for in a dress shop. From the second that I walked in, they made me feel special and important, something that had been lacking at the bigger chain bridal stores. I told them what I was looking for and they brought me a little bit of everything. THey were willing to work with me until I found my dream. Once I found my dream dress, they were incredible through the alteration process as well! They wanted to ensure my dress truly felt like MY dress!

She customized the dress to exactly the way I imagined it in my head, and made my dream wedding dress become reality in just 3 fittings! This is a great spot to shop for a dress. The space is set up in a way that even with multiple brides being seen at once, I felt like I had a private appointment (we went to multiple shops in a day, this was my mom’s favorite for set up).I worked with Rachel, who was sweet, attentive, and just plain good at what she did. I talked, and she brought the dresses. I ended up in one that I really loved! Torn between that dress and another at a prior store, Rachel asked me to describe the other dress to her. It was an unexpectedly insightful question, and made me realize I really was in love with the other dress.I’d recommend this shop to any bride. Thanks, Rachel!

I worked with Farrah and she was absolutely amazing! She was patient, kind, and had a very calming presence. I told her the style I was going for, art deco, and she was able to suggest lots of dresses that were perfect and within my budget. I visited at least 5 other stores before going to Elegance by Roya and it was the only place that I didnt feel rushed. I wish I went there first and would have saved a ton of time and stress! Farrah also did all of my alterations and she did a beautiful job—Im so happy with how my dress turned out and love the French bustle! This bridal shop made being a covid bride a breeze when it came to choosing, altering, and maintaining my dress! The staff is SO wonderful and helpful and makes you feel like family. They had a beautiful selection of dresses and even adapted the shop to be completely covid safe!

Farah and their entire staff are caring, professional, safe (covid), and go above and beyond. I, like so many others, had a covid micro wedding a month ago. But I had ordered my dress a year in Advance so I was still able to have my ballgown dream dress. We made several custom changes to it, and Farah was there to guide me through the entire process. Letting me know that nothing was impossible. You can tell she really cares about you. You’re not just another “client” to her. We had the most amazing experience shopping at Elegance by Roya! This was my first experience dress shopping and I was worried with it being COVID times that I wouldnt get the true bridal experience but I was so wrong! We were greeted immediately at the door and temps checked we were brought back to a private area for just us with a comfy and big couch for my mom and mother in law. Paola went over my survey with me and listened to everything I wanted and pulled dresses based on that, she was easily the most attentive stylist I have ever met (bridesmaid a lot of times so Ive seen a few)! I never once had to look at a rack of overwhelmingly beautiful dresses trying to figure out what might work, she just brought me one after another and helped me get into them while explaining the detailing and why she selected it for me, and asking about my bridal party and really making me feel like we were just friends getting ready together. There wasnt a single dress I didnt like that she pulled (yes some I liked over others, but they were all beautiful) even her wildcard dress was in my top 3 favorite dresses! Paola stayed within the budget I requested and never made a pricetag comment in front of the moms which I really appreciated, most importantly, she never made me feel pressured to purchase on the spot and offered to work with me when I came back to try on a dress I really loved! She even helped navigate the mother in law requests/questions, you ladies know thats a necessity! I truly cannot say enough how amazing this experience was, I had gone to a Davids Bridal that same day first and left feeling so defeated thinking if that was the experience I should expect when dress shopping I didnt want anything to do with it. Paola turned that around so quickly and I had the most amazing time, my future mother in law even said after we left there wasnt a single time you came out of that dressing room not smiling through your mask! and I attribute that to Paola and the level of standard Elegance by Roya expects their stylists to have to ensure a luxury experience for each bride!

We worked with Skye and she was awesome. She understood the brides style and made sure she stayed in budget. She was also really great with our mom and aunts, she made it extremely clear it was about my sister and no one else. My mom was really touchy and invasive at other appointments and it ruined things.My sister found a great dress and we are super excited about starting alterations.

My girlfriends and I went to Elegance by Roya recently and were so impressed by the entire staff especially Kristine. She was so personable, sweet, knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Trying on larger size dresses makes it difficult to imagine the way a dress would look when it is sized, however Kristine took the time to point out exactly the end result would be once altered. Its just okay. The wedding assistant was pleasant and helpful. The space is narrow and goes deep in the back with two sides. The appointment seemed a bit short, one hour. The overall environment wasnt particularly warm or inviting, nor exciting about clients upcoming nuptials. I wouldnt go back, but I was just a family member observing... Who has purchased a fantastic dress from Marys Bridal in Annapolis, I should check if I reviews that!

Elegance by Roya.Fabulous service and Experience. Elegance by Roya was the first store I visited and the only one I needed to find the wedding gown I had envisioned. As an older bride who had never been shopping with anyone for a wedding dress, I had no idea how much fun it would be. Elegance by Roya is a lovely experience. Farrah and the team made my first and every visit personal and fun. Farrah was professional and extremely helpful. Each time I went for a fitting was a joy as Farrah and the seamstresses understood how important the dress is to the wedding. They worked with me to get it to fit just how I wanted and guided me on what bustle would work best for dancing at an outdoor wedding. Everyone at our wedding absolutely loved my dress! Thank you for making me look beautiful and making our day so special.

I had the best experience working with Farah and the team at Elegance by Roya! After visiting nearly a dozen other bridal boutiques, I found my perfect gown at Elegance by Roya. Farrah handled my gown requests and fittings with ease. Even down to the week before my wedding, she went above and beyond to squeeze in extra fittings so that my gown looked perfect for my big day. In addition, she and the team at Elegance by Roya created a custom veil for me, using parts of my mothers veil. They handled her veil very delicately and took it upon themselves to preserve it as best as possible. Searching for the dress is easily one of the most stressful parts of wedding planning, but Farah and the team at Elegance by Roya put my mind to ease with their professionalism and dedication. Farah was an absolute delight to work with, and I would certainly recommend her to any bride in the Washington, DC area!

I absolutely loved the consultants here in Alexandria. Farah was like my bridal fairy godmother through the whole process! She knew exactly how to help me through the process! It is a very emotional and exciting experience, and she made it perfect. I absolutely LOVED my dress. Their selection is wonderfully chosen and the store is a beautiful place to shop!! Also, the tailoring was amazing. Soo many people commenting on how my dress fit me so well. It was strapless but it was amazingly comfortable through the whole day even though we were outside on a hot day! I highly recommend this store!

I originally had an appointment in Tysons Corner, but there were not many selections for my size. They recommended to call Old Town to see if they can take me the same day, which I was very fortunate to book an appointment a couple of hours late. Old Town was much bigger and had a great selection of dresses. I have recently lost some weight and I was still self-conscious of my size. My consultant, Kristine, definitely made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. She had an amazing personality and was very knowledgeable. My mother can be hard to please, but even she was extremely satisfied with the service we received from Kristine. I was able to purchase my beautiful dress AND my veil! Thankfully it only took me one day to find my PERFECT dress! Thank you Kristine!!!!

To be fair, both stores are beautiful. They have a wonderful selection of dresses and I felt like the initial appointments were handled well given COVID restrictions. My disappointment came AFTER I found my dress. I decided on a dress that I tried on during my very first visit to the Tysons location, and already had an appointment at the Alexandria scheduled for the next day (because I did not expect to find something so quickly). After deciding on the dress, I did a bit of research and found that the MSRP for my dress was significantly ($900) cheaper. I called several stores just to make sure that the pricing was not a one-off. After calling 6 other stores in and around the greater DC area, (and verifying that they were authorized dealers by the dress designer) I wanted to give my business to Elegance since that is where I tried on the dress. They would not honor the MSRP, which is fine, that is their prerogative. Fast forward a few weeks: I called to schedule an accessories appt. I called the Tyson Store, and the Alexandria Store as they both had veils and belts that I loved. When I called both stores to schedule, I felt the vibe change when they asked if I purchased my dress there. Once I said that I didnt they seemed standoffish. Tysons did not have any availability but Alexandria did and they had my original Stylist (Paola) call me back to make an appointment. She scheduled me I received email confirmation with my appt time. I called the day before my appt to ask if I could adjust my appt 30 min. She said that was fine and I again received email confirmation with the updated time. I then received an email from Ashley saying they had to cancel my appointment because they were only doing accessory appointments for Brides who purchased their dress there. WOW. In this economic climate they are turning down business? I immediately called to speak to Ashley to find out what was going on. I spoke to someone who said she was a manager and she relayed that my appt was indeed cancelled because they are only doing accessories appointments with bridal fittings. My question is why was this not explained when I called both locations? Why was this not explained when I made my actual appointment? Why was this not explained when I called and spoke to Paola to switch my appointment time? If this were a COVID restriction, that could have been easily explained but the issues seemed to be that I did not buy the (overpriced) dress from them. I am severely disappointed that they pick and choose when to enact certain policies. I will gladly take my business elsewhere. Obviously I had a healthy budget to begin with (or else I would not have come to this store, the items are not cheap), but why would I want to pay more than I need to? Anyone planning a wedding would agree that its smart to save where you can. Anyway, my suggestion is to do your research and spend your money where you feel valued. This is Washington DC, Bridal Boutiques come a dime a dozen. If you dont mind the drive, New Jersey and Delaware also have great Bridal Boutiques and do not charge sales tax. I understand this is a strange time we are currently in but communication is free. Planning a wedding is not easy during COVID. Finding a dress and accessories should be the fun part. I am really disappointed because I had my heart set on getting one of the belts that I tried on during my first two appointments. How can I purchase the belt, if I am being denied a 30 minute appointment? The sad part is that I have 2 cousins and a friend that are getting married within the next 18 months and not only was my business lost (even if it was just the accessories), but their potential business as well. Shame on me for being honest. Im sure if I said I hadnt purchased my dress from them YET, or wasted everyones time and disguised an accessories appt as a bridal try-on appt, I could have purchased my belt and veil. Oh well- got my dress, received excellent service where I purchased it from, and I will find my perfect accessories as well.

I dont even know where to begin to tell you about my perfect experience at Elegance. I was in the shop with my sister and her new baby and felt like I was trying on dresses in my living room. Every dress Farrah pulled for me fit like it was made for me, she could not have been a better consultant. She listened to me and was not pushy at all with her picks. She was patient and never made me feel like I was asking too much. She even had me try on a dress with straps that I would never have done on my own and completely wowed me. If you are looking for a bridal gown I hands down recommend you shop here and totally ask for Farrah. I wouldnt trade the experience she provided for anything. Thank you so much.

Amazing experience!! Everyone was super helpful and only pulled dresses in my price range and the look I was going for. I found a beautiful dress but wanted to think about it and they let me schedule a last minute appointment to go back and try and dress on again no problem. All of their dresses are gorgeous. You are bound to find something you love. GO HERE!!

Kristine was my bridal consultant. She was absolutely amazing. She was very friendly and patient in helping me find my perfect wedding dress. My mom and I went to so many wedding gown shops, but none were able to help us. Once we went to Elegance by Roya in Alexandria, Kristine was very helpful in finding my wedding dress.Farrah was my consultant for alteration, and she was incredible. They even did alteration on my wedding dress the day before my wedding because I lost a little weight. They were very pleasant and took the time to alter my dress to my satisfaction.I was very pleased with each step of the process. Totally recommend them.

I cannot say enough nice things about Elegance by Roya! They are absolutely amazing and take the time to help you find the most perfect dress for your big day!! I got my dress in February for an August wedding and they not only were able to get the dress in time but worked diligently on making sure that it fit perfectly! Their tailors are extremely talented!! I cant imagine going anywhere else for my dress! I HIGHLY recommend them!

I went to quite a few wedding dress shops and the dresses at Elegance by Roya were by far the cleanest. They were all in individually wrapped bags, which means if anyone is looking for a gown purchased at a Sample Sale, this is the place to go! I already knew the dress I wanted so the shopping process was pretty easy, but what I really appreciated was how transparent they were with costs. Especially when it came time for alterations - a lot of my friends have had nightmares with their alterations and I can say this was honestly the best part of the bridal experience. My only criticism is that they could not accommodate alteration appointments on the weekends so I had to take a few long lunches for my fittings, but they were also open on holidays (Memorial Day) which allowed me to sneak in a fitting without missing work! My dress was perfect on my wedding day and even though they equipped me with an emergency sewing kit, I didnt need it - the bustle and everything stayed perfectly!

This shop is reasonably priced for the level of service and the designer dresses available. They have a large range of styles, beautiful accessories, and they know how to put everything together to make you look just the way you want. They have dresses that are one-of-a-kind, and the more mainstream, but all are a little (or a LOT) nicer than a generic dress.I recently accompanied my sister to an appointment here. It was such a wonderful experience. There is ample seating for an entourage. The person helping us was very knowledgeable. My sister tried on some dresses she picked out and told the saleswoman what she liked and didnt like. The saleswoman knocked it out of the park. She made sure my sister considered other styles but wasnt pushy at all. Just gentle and suggesting, oh maybe you think this is nice. And if my sister said maybe she tried it on and if my sister said no, it was on to the next.She got the styling spot on with the veil and the belt. The tailoring at the place is exceptional and they can do a lot with taking things in and modifying a dress for a different neckline or slightly different fit. No wonder they are so busy and top-rated. Such a wonderful experience.

Elegance by Roya helped me to find my perfect dress and make sure that it was made for me and perfect for my wedding day! Farrah was my consultant and I was lucky enough to work with her throughout the entire process. From trying on dresses, to saying yes, to all the fittings, Farrah was there for me every step of the way. I ended up having to do a lot of last minute fittings to ensure some of the lace on my dress was laying flat as intended, and Farrah made sure that it was not only perfect but done in a timely manner to keep my nerves at ease during wedding week. I cannot stress how happy that I am with how my dress came out in the end. I felt so great in it, it fit me perfectly, and looked exactly as I imagined it would. I would highly recommend working with Elegance by Roya and especially Farrah when trying to find your perfect dress for your special day.

My daughter, Caroline found the perfect dress here. Farrah was patient and helpful during the selection process and then during every fitting. The selection is wonderful and they are willing to order something that they may not have in their stock, as was our situation. Their gowns are kept in plastic and are clean and spotless, unlike other salons that offered us a glass of champagne and then tried to put my daughter in ripped, pulled and dirty samples. We left those salons quickly and immediately selected Elegance by Roya as the bridal salon we wanted to deal with. It was the best decision we made. Alterations were to perfection too!

Roya boutique is simply the place to go for the perfect wedding gowns. I’m very pleased about their services, the staff, the environment, and last but not least I’m in love with the dress I bought from them. These ladies are some of the best in the business! When I went dress shopping over a year before my wedding, it was the first dress store I walked into so I had an idea of what I wanted, but was understandably a little nervous and unsure. I worked with Farah, who was very welcoming and sweet. I told her a little bit about what I was thinking, my likes and dislikes as well as a picture of a dress I really liked and she got busy pulling things for me. The first dress I tried one was the one I ultimately ended up buying. To be sure, she had me try on a few different ones with different elements that I was unsure about, and while she had me step outside my comfort zone a bit never tried to put me in anything that I was absolutely opposed to. I went to two other shops that day, but still loved that first dress so my MOH called to see if we could come back. She was more than happy to have me back, put me back in the dress and veil so I could say yes to it!When it came time for my fittings, she was equally as pleasant and professional. She made sure I was comfortable with the fit (miraculously I only had to alter the straps, add in the cups and get a bustle) and scheduled me for my final fitting as close to the wedding as possible to make sure I had the perfect fit. When I came in for the final fitting, everything fit perfectly! She walked me through the bustle and how it was set up, including taking several pictures and videos to make sure I was all set on the day and my dress was a huge hit. Everyone thought it was beautiful and the perfect one for me. Definitely recommend anyone to work with her since she made me feel so comfortable and beautiful, I have sent one person there already and am going back with a friend to help her in her dress search soon! I purchased my wedding dress from Elegance By Roya in 2015, and Ive recommended it to several friends since. The experience was far by the best I had at any salon, a quiet laid back zero-pressure environment, I wasnt shown any dresses that were outside of my budget, and the Farrah was incredibly patient and so sweet. I returned for 3 fittings and each time Farrah took her time and I never felt rushed or pushed to make any decisions that I didnt want to. FIVE STARS!

The dress ended up being a real hit for my wedding!! I really enjoyed working with Roya getting my dress to be perfect and affordable. She really knows her craft and is a real professional. The dress was gorgeous! I never expected it to come out as beautiful as it did. The dress was original (which you cant say about many dress shops), altered perfectly and ready for the event without any problem. I would recommend going to Roya for your wedding dress.

I would highly recommend Elegance By Roya to any bride looking for beautiful dresses and great service. I looked at both locations (Tysons and Old Town) and had an excellent experience at both, finding my perfect dress at the Old Town location. My sister also found her wedding dress at the Old Town location a few years before me. We both have been 100% satisfied with our customer experience, from shopping, adjustments, and help with finding the perfect accessories. Definitely include Elegance by Roya in your dress shopping!I would recommend going to both locations as they have different dresses and styles (for example, I ended up liking an A-line dress shape more, and they had more of this shape in the Old Town location, but it was helpful to try different styles on at both shops to see what worked the best).

I had such a lovely and stress-free experience picking out my wedding dress! The gowns are beautiful and fashion-forward and the people were wonderful, with putting no pressure on me to make a sale. Roya ended up ordering a dress for me Id seen online but they didnt have in stock and it ended up being perfect -- I was SO happy! Alterations were quick and they fitted the dress perfectly to my body, like it was made for me. The shop itself is very boutique-like while still being inviting. Would recommend to any fashionable bride!

I couldnt have been happier with the service I received from Farah. This was the 3rd store that we went to so I already had an idea of what was working and what was not. After a brief description of what I envisioned she was able to guide me towards some beautiful gowns and it only took 4 for me to find THE ONE. Im an 8/10 in clothing with some serious curves and Farah made me feel so comfortable through the trying on process. The shop is clean and they have a good range of prices and didnt make me feel poorly when I had a budget. Above all she made this experience about ME and Im so happy to be spending my $ with a small locally owned business.

My daughter looked so spectacular in the gown we found here! None of the dozens of other gowns at other places were even a close second. Plus, Roya and Farah made the whole process to easy and fun. Chelsea is just fantastic. We came to this location after visiting another shop and the level of service and selection was just so drastically different. We were treated very well and found several great selections to choose from!

I brought my dress, which I purchased from a different bridal shop, to Roya for alterations. They did an AMAZING job. Even though I loved the dress, it was not only too big for me but the style was not as suited to my figure as I would have liked. Roya worked with me to make the dress fit my petite frame in a flattering and feminine way. Not only that, but I cant say enough good things about their customer service! I had lost weight a week before the wedding and they did an emergency fix on my dress in two days! Wow, thank you Elegance by Roya.

Mother of the Bride Review of Shopping for Daughters DressAfter stops at a few of the Georgetown bridal shops, my daughter and I made an appointment with Roya at her shop in Old Town, Alexandria. Her professional and warm demeanor and wonderful dresses really set her apart. She clearly understands her brides and prides herself on working with each one individually in terms of style, price point, and any necessary alterations (yes, she does them in her shop and supervises all the work). Street parking was easy, and meeting up for fittings at the shop by way of Metro and car from DC was a snap. It would be difficult to find a more wonderful place to shop for a wedding dress.

What an amazing and easy experience! Kristine welcomed me and took the time to listen to what I was looking for. Then, she gave me some time to look through the dresses. Even though I didnt feel rushed at all, she still made the appointment efficient, which I think is so important in making it a pleasant experience. Based on what I told her, Kristine initially chose four dresses and I loved all of them! But, I also had a really easy time choosing the one. I found the perfect dress without even feeling like it took any effort at all. I ended up going with one of Royas originals, so I am especially pleased to know that I have a unique dress.

After going to several shops prior to finding Elegance By Roya, and being very frustrated by the constant streams of, No, this is not possible to do; Roya said yes! I had purchased a strapless gown from another store, however I wanted to add lace sleeves to it. Roya was so positive, and so supportive of what I envisioned that I wanted the gown to look like,that I am overjoyed at the end result! Roya surpassed my very high expectations to the point that I cannot say enough for the quality of her workmanship, her professionalism, and her positive attitude throughout! I cannot say enough about my experience with Roya, who transformed a beautiful but out-of-style family veil into something ethereal and timeless. With meticulous precision, she hand-sewed my grandmothers fragile 100-year old lace onto new veiling, and it is absolutely stunning with my daughter-in-laws wedding dress. She will be the fourth generation to wear that lace, and it has all been made possible by Royas imagination and passion for what she does. I cant imagine a more elegant, personal, satisfying experience than working with this wonderful salon and its owner.

Roya is amazing! From the moment I walked into the store, I felt like her attention was just on me. There is an intimate feel to her beautiful boutique. My dress was perfection!! It fit like a glove....her tailoring was exquisite!! She calmed all my fears and guided me in the best fit decisions. Although I didnt end up purchasing my dress at Elegance By Roya, my experience shopping there was very pleasant. I worked with Farah during my visits and she is obviously very knowledgeable and has a good eye. I never had to compete for her attention and my appointments always started on time. The shop is located in a very convenient location as well, just right off of the King Street metro.

I cannot recommend this place enough. You are with one consultant through the entire process: dress selection, fittings, and alterations, so you never have to worry about miscommunication. At my first visit, Farah listened to my ideas, likes/dislikes and pulled the perfect dress, which ultimately became THE dress, for me to try on first. Being the indecisive shopper that I am, she patiently spent hours with me trying on more dresses and re-trying THE dress back on over two different visits. I had always dreamed of a big bow on the back of my wedding dress. Although they did not have a dress in store like that for me to try on, Farah worked with me to design a custom made bow to be added so my wish became a reality. She also seemed genuinely excited to be creating this addition for me, which made the whole experience more enjoyable. The alterations were SPOT ON. It fit me like a glove. At Elegance by Roya are you not just paying for your wedding dress, you are paying for the overall experience, and I would use them, specifically Farah, again in a heartbeat.

After 4 stores, and already purchasing a dress, I must say, I shouldve met Kristen first! My experience at Elegance by Roya (Old Town) was excellent. Kristine was more than accommodating to myself and my family. The stress of finding a second dress went out of the window thanks to her. I cannot thank her enough!

I have been coming to Roya at Elegance Boutique for years, she has made multiple alterations for me as well as making my custom wedding reception dress.The store is not only beautiful but her and everyone that works there is incredibly professional and great at what they do.I have always had a positive experience and would highly recommend her for anything from small alterations to custom dresses!

Amazing service and quality! My dress was simply perfect! The process was also perfect! I had friends who were getting married at about the same time as me and had such drama which their dresses, but not me! She made the alterations that we discussed when she said she would and it went off without a hitch! And did I mention the dress was one of a kind? Designed in house, but still cheaper than a lot of the dresses I looked at in the area! Thank you for everything!!

I could not be happier with this shop! After trying on a few dresses I pulled, Farah recommended a dress to try on and I fell in love. I highly recommend and could not be happier. I received so many compliments on my dress; the dress I purchased was beautiful and the owner, Roya, was extremely gracious and accommodating with helping me find the dress and with the alterations. I wish she sold other items so I could return!
