I have been looking for a new place to go since NTB on Edsall Road closed and this place is so much better than NTB ever was! I have visited Wiygul on Lane Place three times over the past three months and I have been impressed every time! They get the job done in a reasonable time and if you cannot wait, you can get a ride home for free and they will bring your car back to you! I really trust them to give me fair information about my vehicle. They often send coupons in the mail if you live in the area.

Jim was so helpful and listened to my concerns before jumping to conclusions. The other two staff members who name I didn’t catch were so polite and helpful as well. Customer service was beyond exceptional. They also were very efficient in fixing the problem. Thanks guys!

First time using this shop because they were open latest on a holiday weekend. They were able to get my oil change, carbon air filter changed, and state inspection completed. They also recommended a few other services for my vehicle. Although friendly they definitely over charge for services. Would highly recommend shopping around First.

I thought my alignment might be off on my Jeep so I took it in. It turns out the alignment was fine, but I couldn’t believe how kind and attentive everyone was. They took my car same day, checked out the alignment for free and I got my oil changed as well, which was very affordable. I would recommend this Wygul to everyone. They are honest, timely, and kind.

I came for my state/emissions inspections and have only the best to say about this locations service. Super friendly, easy to check out, and I really enjoyed the experience. I would love to come back again if I ever need anything else for my car. The only thing was parking was a bit limited but when youre just dropping off, not really a problem.

Were very informative about repairs and options; service completed earlier than the quoted time and price was exactly as quoted. This was our second time having our vehicle serviced, was very pleased both times and will certainly be back and van highly recommend them.

Really a great experience, almost each time Ive gone, at different locations. Im really picky about auto mechanics, but Wiygul has the trifecta: great service, reasonable prices, and convenient locations. To start, I love their concierge service. I mean, what other place picks up your car and then drops it back off when theyre completed?! Second, theyre very straightforward with what needs to be done, and great suggesting preventative and/or unnecessary work, so the customer doesnt feel ripped off. Lastly, the waiting rooms are nice and theres normally coffee ready.As for prices, again, theyre reasonable, but what makes it better are the coupons, especially coupons for inspection and emissions... yes, they substantially discount (like $14 off emissions!) these state-mandated, price-fixed inspections. Purchasing their tires gets you free lifetime rotations (better than waiting in an insanely long line at one of those wholesale stores).Should I continue, or should you just check it out yourself! :)

I had a great experience with Calvin Harkless. I had an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation, safety inspection, and emissions inspection. I did not realize the emissions inspection wasn’t due until the fall, and Calvin called me after I dropped off my car when he realized this. I truly appreciated the honesty and professionalism he displayed, because I didn’t end up spending money needlessly. Service like that should be commended. The oil change, tire rotation, and safety inspection were completed quickly, and the car was returned just as clean as when I left it there. I will definitely be returning. We are staying in a motel in Alexandria VA and has taken a day to Gettysburg Our back window would not roll up. Long story short I randomly picked this. They made an appointment for next day. They helped us get a rental with a discount and we get to our destination for the day. It was fixed when we returned.

I have not gotten my car repaired yet but after Jim/Calvin viewedmy car, I found them very polite and informative. I felt more relaxed and confident that they will be top grade service.

Went in for periodic oil service. Good guys, great job for efficient oil change while I waited. Only issue. Both coffee machine and TV out of order in customer waiting room.

I cannot recommend Wiygul enough. We have used them over the years and have always found them extraordinarily professional. We asked them most recently to diagnose our old car, and provide a comprehensive estimate for what it may take to keep it running a few more years so we could make an informed decision. Not only did they pick up and drop off the car from our home (for free!), the coordinated with a paint company so we could get two estimates in one. Their review was thorough, and communication impeccable. Ultimately it was bit worth restoring the car, but here’s where they really shined: they did not pressure us in the least! They made sure we understood everything so we’d be safe, and respected our decision so easily. Should also note: their diagnosis software/report is amazing. It puts repairs into tiers, provides pictures so you can see what they see, and explains each item in layman’s terms. This is EVERYTHING a mechanic should be: trustworthy, communicative, and customer service that goes above and beyond

Reserved the Uhaul truck through them. 15 min before my reservation, as I was on my way there, the guys calls me to say that I should call different locations because I wont return the truck in time for the next reservation. I have never seen this before

My 2007 Dodge Nitro has window issues, I drove in and the concierge his name is Patrick wants me to put $150 diagnostic fees down for an examination.I really concerned the $150 examination fees, If I don’t take their repair option I still have to pay that money. 💴 💰💰Not worth that money, eventually I went somewhere else $300 fixed the problem.

Tried to gouge me $650 just to change brakes: told me they were metal on metal when I had over half the life of the pads left. Took a young person for a fool and thought theyd make a profit.

The customer service at Wigyl’s is immeasurable. This was my first visit to them for a state inspection and oil change and I have quickly added them to my contacts as I will be using them for all of my auto care going forward. Thank you Calvin and Team for everything!!

I possess a hard earned distrust of car repair companies. When I find one that shoots straight, I’m all in. Wiguyl’s is that kind of place. I dropped my car off for emissions and an oil change, not exactly high dollar work for them, and they got me an Uber back to work! What? They finished early and didn’t try to sell me a new transmission or tell me something insane about not being able to remove the oil pan so I’d need a new one (all things that have happened before). This place is professional, fast and customer-focused. They’ll be our go-to for a long time coming.

This is now twice the shop has misdiagnosed my car. I went in with a check engine light and they said my gasket was blown and saying that the parts were under recall so I had to take it to the dealership. I paid $150 for the misdiagnosis on top of $150 for towing to the dealership. The dealership not only said that there were no recalls on my car but that the coolant sensor was bad and had to be cleaned and replaced. The shop were telling me that it would be thousands of dollars to repair and that I would be better off buying a new car. I’m SO glad I didn’t listen to them. This place is good for oil changes and that’s really about it.They’re nice people but I wouldn’t trust them with my broken down car ever again and highly advise you go to your trusted mechanic even if your car is broken down to save yourself from the undue stress and money.

I have been going to Wiygul Automotive since moving to Alexandria in 1998, and they are the best! It is a family owned business and they treat me like part of the family. They are always professional and helpful, do an excellent job, and they never try to upsale services to me. I have complete trust in them. I was just there yesterday for an oil change and asked about new tires since it has been awhile, and they told me I don’t need them yet. When I needed unexpected repairs in November for my aging 2004 vehicle with 200,000 miles, they took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on, what I needed to do right then, and what could wait. (They have been taking care of that car since I bought it new in 2004, and I hope to get several more years out of it with their TLC!) If you join the VIP program, you get discounts on oil changes, other maintenance, and even VA State Inspections. I go to the Wiygul’s on Lane Road, but they now have several locations around northern VA.

I needed a safety inspection as mine had expired at the end of March. Called ahead to make sure they were open and doing inspections. Drove over and it was done before I knew it! Everyone was friendly and helpful, the mechanic even warned me I had a pending issue to get fixed before the next time. Outstanding! 🙂

Ive been a customer for a yr now, this was my first time at the Lane Street location. Since Co-Vid and all the changes it wasnt difficult to get an appt. They came to pick up my car, and returned it. I have used wiygul previously and was impressed by its professionalism. I was in a predicament that didn’t allow me to drive my car to wiygul or pick it up after service. I was able to use their concierge service where they would pick up and drop off my car as long as it was within a 10 mile radius. Although I live next to the location I was very appreciative for them picking my car up and dropping it off. That helped me greatly. So much I was impressed that I decided to start getting service there for future repairs. They also were very nice and professional.

I went to my regular brand dealership and got an estimate on car repairs, but Wiygul found me a better rate and a coupon for a discount to THEIR services that happened to be online at the time of my appointment. Its in the cut and you wouldnt notice it if you first drove by it, but its WORTH IT. Please do yourself and your vehicle a favor and go to Wiygul.

It was easy to get an appointment. The work was done on time to the cost first provided. For my service, a 2 year warranty was provided. My car was clean and readily available. At dealerships sometimes you pay the bill and still have to wait as much as 20-30 minutes for a valet to retrieve your car.

Very good spot to have your car worked on but a little pricey

I came in with a spike in my tire. As a walk-in I expected to have to leave my Grand Cherokee, but Jim took care of me immediately. I opted for 4 tires, so he ordered the tires from across town, he had them balanced and installed and an alignment check and corrections performed and had me on my way in time for dinner. He continually communicated the progress of the repair and provided that “hometown feel” of outstanding customer service. I’ll be back with my other two vehicles should they ever require service.Well done,Jerry

This was my first time going to Wiygul automotive since I just moved to the city. I had an excellent first experience. I had what I thought was a nail in the tire because of which the tire was losing air. I took it to them and they checked my tires for free and told me that both rear ones had to be replaced because they were damaged and old (I already knew that going on since they were due to be changed). They even prepared a quote for me which was affordable, without me asking which really saved time, and after I confirmed they ordered new tires for me. I went in at 830am and my car was ready late afternoon. They even ordered me an Uber free of charge to my workplace in DC! Thoroughly impressed with the customer service here. Everyone was very very helpful and courteous. Definitely going back again!

I brought my car in for some routine fluid changes, new break fluid, transition fluid and coolant as well as seeing why the check engine light was on. Midway through the services they give me a call saying there was an issue with the car . Bottom line it was drivable but would need a new engine in the near future. They could have still recommend all the services it needed but didn’t want to waste the money on services that weren’t going to be an issue in the near future. They even gave me a discount and didn’t mark it off on the vip card. It’s hard to actually find honest mechanics but they haven’t steered me wrong yet.

Took much longer than they said it would and the service is definitely not as good as gge Burke location, nor is the shop as clean.

I needed a state inspection, oil change, and fluid top off, so I went to Wiygul (best automotive maintenance and repair shop in Virginia). Patrick was friendly and efficient when he scheduled my appointment for the following day. When I was running late for my appointment, Patrick made sure my car was still squeezed in the same afternoon. I also love he detailed price estimates they provide before you hand over your keys, and they don’t leave your car a mess. Keep up the great work! You have my loyalty.

I have an older car, so some repairs repairs were expected for my state safety inspection. Very pleased with the service. I was given a complimentary Uber home, and then back to them again when my car was ready after repairs. Very pleased with their service and I will be back there again next year for my next state service inspection. Jim who worked up front was very courteous and respectful.
