Chase was the sales person we were dealing with and John was the financial manager. The both did an outstanding job, very professional. Chase knew all of the information that was asked about the Silverado 1500 and his personality was great, very friendly and outgoing, he made us feel at ease. John was very knowledgeable about the buying process. He explained everything in detail, he was not pushy and had a very pleasant personality. Over all this was one of the best and easiest purchases of a new vehicle we have every made in our 44 years of marriage.

I have bought a few cars from them in the past and the sales manager and finance manager are good people, However, the last 2 vehicle purchases I made, they lost my business because either the numbers didn’t work (wouldn’t give me enough for my trade) or I couldn’t get financing (self employed) to work out so I purchased from other dealers who were able to work with me. The salesman I originally talked to inquiring about a car on their lot told me he would call me back and NEVER did!!

Brought my 2015 Colorado in for some real headscratching electrical issues which I had previously brought to Vaughn in Bunkie, LA. Vaughn misdiagnosed the problem, charged me $700, and refused to even offer a discount when I called them back a week later and said the problem wasnt fixed. Southern Chevrolet on the other hand fixed my truck swiftly and for a decent price, the FIRST time I brought it in.

Currently using Southern Chevrolet for an insurance claim, fraudulently charged my insurance company for parts that were never replaced and all the original damage was not submitted on the initial claim. Have had my vehicle for WEEKS and nothing has been accomplished. Stating it’s the insurance companies fault when in fact it is the service rep Karen that has failed to submit supplemental claims in a timely manner. When dates, times, and documentation is presented then the cover up, “crawfishing”, and the attempt of wanting me to show gratitude for her “using her personal cell phone” to submit a claim virtually to the claims adjuster is emphasized. I have repeatedly left messages for updates on the vehicle, have continuously attempted to go over for at least 6-7 times ALL of what is wrong with my vehicle because ALL items have been missed multiple times and this is the second time they have had my vehicle for the same claim. Requested to speak with Mike, who sincerely shows that he cares about the process of repairing the vehicle, he is on vacation and when requested to speak with owner I was completely deterred of that option. As a licensed insurance agent for over 30 years I am collectively disheartened for charging the insurance company wrongfully- this is one reason insurance cost are so high. I have contacted the BBB, Department of Insurance, and Chevrolet Corp office to make a complaint. Once I FINALLY get my car back and it’s fixed correctly- I will NEVER return to this dealership for service or to purchase and that is a FACT! If I could give a half star I would because that is what has been earned thus far!

Took trunk in for dignostic test because traction control light was on it was three weeks before i heard from them which i call them and all i receive was a receipts for the cost for the test and i ask for the code which they wrote down with pencil on the paper i don,t think they did a dignostic test because i did not get a dignostic print out Micheal Mccann only gave me a receipt and wrote down a code cyl misfire i will never do bussiness with them i could have did that myself with a cheap code sranner they should have told the true they did not do dignostic test that why they could not give me a dignostic print out they should have given my money back because i did not get what i went their for 7/26/21

Southern Chevrolet did the job that I needed to be done good job, but their customer service is terrible. I walked in to pay for services, and out of 6 staff 0 acknowledgment. I felt so uncomfortable, like I was barged in on a funeral.No I cant judge their heart, but I felt like I was trespassing. Ill take my vehicles to Walker GMC.A smile and greeting is free and take 2 secs.Shame. At least fake it!

Stay clear of the service department went in with my fuel system needed to be replaced ( or so I was told) 10k later I receive a vehicle with a cracked up pipe and an ac unit that doesn’t work anymore and still wanting more money. Was told I had to remove the transmission to fix the remaining issues and would cost in the 3k for a project that I was quoted from other shops at literally $400 . These people will create problems and expect you to pay ungodly amounts for things that don’t need to be done or weren’t even an issue when you arrived.

Larry was very helpful and got the truck out of the rain for me. He knew exactly what I needed; because I couldnt figure it out. Karen was the whiz who was able to code the remote. They were great! Meanwhile, your mask policy is being disregarded. I and one other person were wearing masks. I thought it was a state wide order at this time. Corona is very REAL. During these times, schedules are full. I got lucky, and was able to schedule an oil change the day I called. They were friendly and courteous. My initial advisor was great. I have an issue with my vehicle that the dealership seems to not really care about which caused them to have to replace a part because of lack of concern. The women in the service department are wonderful but the rest of the employees make the environment feel cold and unwelcoming. I am in the market for a vehicle for my daughter but I will not be returning to purchase from here.

Went in for our appointment with my boyfriend to get a oil change on his truck and we sat outside in the heat for over an hour waiting. Sales associates came by us several times and never gave us any updates. And the man beside us was waiting for a key fob, which is usually a 15 minute wait and he was still there when we left. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone!

Now I have a vehicle that needs a new transmission, and an oil change that wasnt needed, I cant drive my car so why the oil change? To make money......

Just bought a truck on Saturday and Jeff was my salesman. I have nothing, but good things to say about him and the dealership itself. He was approachable, knowledgeable, and made the process as painless as possible. The Dealership was clean, the people were incredibly nice, and the process was practically seamless.I went in and told Jeff what I was looking for and he made it happen. Nice visit a few years back. Good job done. Reason Im giving 4/5 stars is because when I asked about the squealing sound I would hear when pressing the brakes, the lady at the counter told me something like, welcome to Louisiana. Ive lived here my entire life, and maybe she was joking, but I didnt appreciate it. Got that fixed elsewhere later on, as they wouldnt try to find or fix that problem from what I recall.

I arrived early for my appointment for an oil change. I was greeted at the door and my vehicle was taken to the back very quickly. My vehicle was serviced and returned before my appointment time. Very satisfied with the service I received. I’ve had my truck since 2012 and have had all but one of my oil changes at dealership. Will continue to use this dealership for all future services. I am due my 50,000 mile service soon and will be scheduling a appointment soon. Thank you for the professional service

Bad Service -period.. Had an appointment to get a diagnostic test on my car and was totally ignored and got the runaround about my car. I started having issues with my brakes since this summer and I always got shooed away. I not sure what I did to this folks and I was calm and polite and had to take off work and still not happy. Cars and trucks came and went and I still in the waiting room for 3 1/2 hours with no update, just my car parked with the junk cars.. I will never go back and I dont recommend at all.

Great job servicing my truck, giving me a copy of their check list and findings. Showed filters that needed replacing before doing it so I knew they needed changed. Didn’t have engine air filter in stock, had to go to NAPA to get one and put in myself, but that’s cool. Overall, great job.

Overall a very pleasing experience with the dealership. There were a couple of issues. One was that on of their employees seemed to not be a people person. The other was it took almost 3 days to run a diagnostic test and replace one hose. The car is still running funky but we shall see. For the most part however, the workers were very professional and helpedUs out.

My husband and I were driving from Dallas Texas to Tampa Florida for vacation. We were driving my 2014 Chevrolet Equinox that had 33,000 miles on it when all the sudden it started jerking and coming out of gear. We got towed to this dealer for repairs. Unfortunately this dealer did not have loaner cars. The lady told me we would have to get a rental, pay out of pocket then give them the bill in order to get reimbursed because the car was under warranty. In order to get reimbursed we had to rent a GM vehicle and the rental couldnt be more than $38 a day to get a full refund. She started calling around to find something for us. All they could find was a Chevy Spark. I was clearly upset about the whole situation. With doubt that the spark could hold everything my equinox did, we had the rental company come get us to get the car. While at the rental office, the dealership calls me and informs me that they fixed the control module for the transmission. Even though I was very upset, the service department worked very hard to help us.

All I needed was to get a key fob checked to see if I needed a new fob, as the one I had wasnt working properly. Got to Southern at 7:30 a.m. on a Monday morning. After sitting in the waiting room for six hours, they still hadnt done anything to my car. I talked to Karen several times about a couple of items I had questions about. Karen stated she would check and get back with me, never did. When I finally complained about how long it was taking Karen finally got a technician to check the car. 2 minutes later I was given a price for the new fob and programming the fob. ($275) 20 minutes after I gave the go ahead, they were done!! This was my first time at Southern and it will be my last.Update: At 4:20 p.m. on the same Monday, the tire warning light came back on!! Was the tire pressure checked while it was in the Service Department?Update: On Tuesday morning I called and spoke to the Service Manager. They came and got the car, fixed the problem, and returned the car. I am satisfied with the service departments response to my concerns.
