I have been using this place for two years and I have never ever had a bad experience. They have gone above and beyond for not only myself but many friends and family of mine. The prices are very reasonable and the work is always excellent. The staff are super friendly, and are always trying to help in any way they can. I have read some of the others reviews and I think a lot of them are not true. My experience and many others have been very pleasant. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I called a day early to secure a 9am appointment for 10 September. They were very friendly and helpful over the phone. I show up and I was informed there would be a little delay (no specific time given) and I was ok with that. 930am rolls around and there isnt any vehicles left in the bay.. it is now 945 and my car has still not been pulled in and the technician is taking a smoke break. My car is the black car in the photo. I confronted the man and he asked me if my car was the black cadillac and that he didnt know I was waiting.. it is now 10am and they are barely pulling my car into the bay. As you can see from the pictures, its the only car in the bay, which has been empty for over 30 minutes.. After all this, the oil change took nearly 40 minutes and they had the audacity to try to sell me additional services. Hopefully this was just a one off occurrence since the staff were still very friendly in the end and they had the best price of all the places I called.

If I could give 0 rating I would but 1 would do it. This place is full of scam, taking advantage of my situation. I had a tire blowout so I went to get a new tire but the guy woundt chage the tire unless I change all 4 tires for $700+. The mechanic/cashiers was very rude, and unprofessional. Id rather pay the money elsewhere than use your service.

Came out to get my oil changed, brakes replaced and an overall inspection of my car. The guys found issues that other mechanics severely overlooked and fixed it the same day at a very reasonable price.

This place is full of scam. If you take new car there, they will take out light & say light gone. All people working in commission there. So as much as they can bill they will get commission. Your good car they will make inspection fail. Inspection guy Tahir will try to make a deal, expect tip, manager is cheater- all are cheater there. I hate automobile people for them, this profession they make dirty. Please dont go.

Overpriced for light bulbs replacement. Quoted me one price and increased it at checkout and the guy said he cut me a deal. Had to change them or otherwise they would have failed my safety Inspection. Not going there again. Awful business.I should have read the reviews before getting ripped off.

Terrible customer service. I am partially deaf and read lips to aide my impairment. With COVID and masks covering your face, this has made that difficult. When checking out, I asked the cashier kindly to repeat herself several times as I was having trouble making out what she was asking me. She became very irritated with me and just said Im speaking English. I apologized and said Im not trying to be rude, I am just not sure what she was asking me. She got very angry with me and wouldnt repeat her question. Finally I was able to get her to ask it in a different way and figured out she was asking if I asked for $15 or $50 of gas.There was no one behind me, I wasnt holding up a line. I shouldnt be belittled and forced to apologize because of slight impairment. She should not have a job dealing with customers if she cant have a 1 min conversation without being rude.

I have been taking my cars to NTA Van Dorn for about 8 years or more. Always outstanding customer service!!! Reasonable prices too. My only constructive criticism...get on board with contactless service. Person on service desk needs to wear a mask!!!! That area is very small and confined. There is a plexiglass shield, but I observed a staff member outside of shielded areas without a mask. Do you part to prevent the spread!!! Otherwise, no complaints.

Dont ever go there. I went for emission inspection. After my 70000mils car passed the emission test they told me that my all 3 break lights dont work and they asked me to fix them. When I went home my wife helped me to check the break lights. The both lights were completely fine, they unmounted the third break bulb. I just press the bulb back. NEVER will go back with them again.

Don’t get your vehicle inspected here they are fraudulent. They will try to say things are broken on your vehicle in order to convince you to get things fixed by them that aren’t actually broken. Stacy Ewell one of their inspectors will pass your vehicle if you pay him a little extra regardless of what’s wrong with your car I saw this for myself today after a BMW with 2 tails lights out passed after giving Mr.Ewell and generous tip. They also have very bad people skills and customer service avoid this place at all cost.

I am extremely happy with the staff and service I received while getting my car repaired. They worked hard to ensure an affordable option for all of my repairs, including the unexpected ones. They were efficient and as a woman I did not feel as if they were trying to sell me things my car didnt really need. I will continue to take my car here for all of its service needs.

Service was Second to none! James and Team provided me with Outstanding and Timely Service. Customer Service is first and foremost in my book and James did definitely demonstrated that during our initial introduction and throughout the entire process. I also noticed how he attentively and professionally engaged the NTA of Van Dorn Exxon Service Team other clients in person and over the phone as I waited on my car. A person like James should be commended, recognized and rewarded for his Professionalism and Responsiveness to each client and his Service Team members. People like James are the ones that help make or break the business. If you need State Inspection or any other service they provide I highly recommend this Exxon Service Center as your First Choice!!!

I HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE IN THIS PLACE. I WOULD GIVE THEM A ZERO STAR IF I COULD. MR. EWELL, STACY “THE INSPECTOR” FAILED MY CAR INSPECTION BECAUSE THE TURN SIGNALS WEREN’T ORANGE AND THE WIPERS WERE MAKING SOUNDS. FIRST OF ALL MY TURNING LIGHTS WERE ALWAYS ORANGE BUT THEY FOUND THE OCCASION TO MAKE EXTRA MONEY BY TELLING MY MOM THAT THEY CAN REPLACE AND PASS INSPECTION IF SHE PAYS $150 FOR ALL THE REPAIRS. THEY LIKE TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF PEOPLE THAT DOESNT KNOW MUCH ABOUT CARS. MR. STACY AND THE WHITE GUY IN THE REGISTER WERE VERY RUDE AND LESS PROFESSIONAL. Got a good amount of work done work significantly cheaper ( as much $250-$450 more) than anyone else around. They gave me a quote and though there were some complications and ended up taking longer (and labor being the expensive part to car maintenance), they stuck by the quoted number given. You dont hear that often.That alone has earned by business for future work. I will say, that getting served can be slow, but it seems to be due to the amount of business they have with a limited staff. But Ill happily wait an extra 5-10 minutes to save 100s of dollars and have a company stands by their word/quote.

Worse oil change ever never go here after leaving here my engine light came on I needed a new oil pump they were very rude to me it took two hours waiting time for me to even get seen my car was not even two years old none of the lights were Previously on there were no problems with my car previously no problems they didn’t top off any of my fluids like they promised worst groupon oil change here ever I do not recommend if I could give know Starrs I would the supervisor hung up on me cursed me out and threatened me so upset so made Groupon will be giving me a full refund and I’m calling a lawyer to get him involved if you want your car to run properly advise you don’t go here the way I was treated the way my car was treated the worst experience of my life

Take your car here if you want to get ripped off. My mother took her vehicle to pass the state inspection and the inspector fed her a B.S. line about one headlight being a different color than the othe . She let him know that I would change it but he stated that he wouldnt pass her inspection until she did. He told her that the light bulb would only be $5 (theres no way the lightbulb for her car costs that as they typically run $20 and up) but then he also tacked on a $15 fee afterwards. It took him half an hour to change one headlight that should have taken 1 minute. I checked the bulbs when she got home and they are both the old bulbs as evidenced by the engine grime on them. On top of that, none of this is reflected on the inspection papers so he likely simply pocketed the money. Save yourself the headache and potentially getting ripped off and go to a different location for anything your car needs. The inspection paper says it was completed by someone named Stacey Ewell so at the very least avoid him.

Nobody wears a mask there ! We are in the middle of a pandemic .. both cashiers and those who work with cars ! I left the place after a minute because they were careless about CDC guidelines !Though they had a big tag on the door says Masks are mandatory !

If you are ready to waste 2 hours for an inspection then come here. Otherwise the time waiting here sucks. Inspectors work slow and they simple just take their time.You are better off getting a coupon and going to another shop.

I brought my Mercedes Benz to the VanDorn Exxon for a VA safety inspection decal, and while there they discovered that my rear brakes were down to bare metal so they installed new pads and rotors at an excellent price. I have always had outstanding service from the very courteous and expert staff.

I walked into NTA today because I needed an oil change and their price looked reasonable. I stood at the service counter for a few minutes, at first without any help. Finally, someone asked if they could help me and I said that I needed an oil change. I was told he was going to get someone to help me. A couple of minutes later, a man came out of the garage and just stood looking at the computer and then turned to me Do you need something? Again I said that I needed to get an oil change. He told me he would be right back and disappeared into the garage, never to return. Finally, a third guy walked out of the garage and asked if I had been helped. I explained, once again that I needed an oil change. He said that it would be about 30 minutes, which was ok with me and pointed to some paperwork for me to fill out. While I was filling this sheet out at the counter. Someone else walked in while I was filling out the paperwork and asked for an oil change. The person who asked for the oil change gave the man working his keys and then left. When I was done filling out my paperwork the same person who was taking care of both of us smirked at me and said Well now youre second in line and proceeded to tell me it would be an hour and a half to an hour and 45 minutes for my oil to be changed. How do I walk in first and am told 30-minutes only to be bumped back an hour after someone walks in after me? The customer service here is rude and the way they talk to you is unprofessional and unfriendly. I went next door to Jiffy Lube and was greeted with smiles, courteous staff, and coffee. Take my advice and say NO! to NTA.

I regret I prepaid Groupon and went there. (1)Waited 2 hours for car inspection. Supposed to be only one car in front. (2)Wasted a day there and did not get the oil change done. Had to go back another day. (3)Charged me extra for car inspection otherwise they wont let it pass and will give a two weeks rejection. Not sure if they always try to get some extras for car inspection but they did it to me and another customer during the time I was there. What they told me was hard to convince me since I just came back from dealership. But I paid anyway because it was my mistake to trust them and prepaid the Groupon. I should check their yelp review first.

I arrived to shop for a battery i was having electrical issue the gentle man in the shop help me right away,next day i needed a jump start again and triple a said the terminal was loose,so i returned to have the mechanic look at it,he TOLD ME THAT THE BATTERY END WAS A SPECIAL TYPE AND RE ATTACHED IT with the help of a co worker the matter was resolved (happier i became)the other mechanic was truly helpful and knowledgeable because he advised me how something stuck in my cigarette lighter socket actually caused my battery drain problem.AFTER he began helping me resolve my no radio issue,as I thanked him i could not help to notice his cell phone keeps ringing but he continued to help Thank you Malcolmm for giving me all your attention in my time of need, shame all good men are taken store overall visit was great dc to va & back

Got to this place 20-30 minutes before closing for an Emissions Inspection. Garage was open, and the big bright OPEN sign was on. I went inside and said what I needed done. The guy yelled to the mechanic asking him if he wanted to do another inspection. The guy didnt seem to answer him/pretended he didnt hear him. So he went into the garage to ask him and he came back and said: Sorry, hes done for the day. Really? I went somewhere else and they did the test in 10 minutes. I will NOT be going back to this NTA. After reading someone elses experience, I wonder if this is just how they treat people with Groupon vouchers.

Customer service was horrible. The older gentleman was an exception. 2 Hour oil change. The mechanic left a huge spot of oil on my red leather seat of my new car. He also left spots of oil on my steering wheel. The nicer older gentleman lied to me(nicer than the others atleast). He said I need a new airfilter and its going to cost $75 because he needs to pull out the bumper and air filter housing to get to the air filter. Thats a Lie. All you need to do is 1.open the hood 2. open the lid to the air filter. 3. replace air filter. EASY. Also Right after leaving I checked my air filter and it was clean!2 hour oil change?!?!?! I wasted 2 hours of my day off on this. Just horrible.

Brought 2 different cars there for alignments and both had to be brought back. On one, they charged me for an alignment but never did one. On the other, they did a poor job and I had to ask for a re-do. Dont waste your time, unless this place is your only option.

These guys are the absolute worst. They called me directly weeks ago, CANCELLED my appointment, I obliged to be considerate. I schedule one for the following week and show up, and they tell me they do not have the reservation and are fully booked. No effort to make up for their mistake, respect that I was there, or do anything to respect and appreciate the customer. Embarrassing. Clowns.

I moved to the area from out of state, this place passed me easy on emissions test then hit me hard on inspection said I had moisture in my tail lights and my brake pads where needed changed a month later my brakes are squealing now and probably need changed. I wont be going to this place anymore.

They seem dishonest. While waiting, another customer complained that they charged him $30 for headlight adjustment. It was my turn and guess what, same thing. When I told them I would do it myself. They said, you cant do it yourself, you need special equipment. How many other people have they pulled this scam on? I wont be going back to them.

Abysmal customer service. I set up an appointment to get an emissions test only to be turned away by one of the rudest women I have ever met. I explained to her that I had set up an appointment over the phone with one of her colleagues. She rudely cut me off mid sentence and ushered me out of the store. If you want subpar customer service and unpleasant interactions with unpleasant people, this is the place for you.

Rude, rude, rude employee. The older guy working the desk should not work around customers. He was rude to every person who came in...rolling his eyes, sighing, dirty looks, etc. It is obvious he was in a sour mood and didnt care about his customers. He outright lied to one customer and told him that all of his workers were gone for the day...they werent. I was scolded for showing up at my scheduled time of 5:00. Apparently whoever scheduled me shouldnt have done it at such a late hour. How is that my fault? He was pissed that I was there. He snapped at another customer about a form he didnt complete. According to the customer, it was never given to him. A lady came in without an appointment for an inspection, he was so mean to her, I thought she would cry. Later there were two guys in the small waiting area that got in his way. What did he say to them...Move! How about excuse me?

Not to be trusted.I was costumer there when it used to belong to an independent family business owner. It was honest and fair by then. 18 months ago aprox they sold to NTAtire and I notice first that the prices increased slightly compared to before but they have a lot more staff now and look more organized so I decide to transfer my trust because it was the same location wuich is convenient to me. Big Mistake!Last spring they changed my radiator (For $30 less than the estimate I got from my dealer). Radiator is fine but now that it is summer I noticed that my a/c was not working properly. I was going to charge myself when I realize that the pressure reading was way higher than it should, instead of low (I am an engineer and know how to read instruments). I unplug my gauge and took the car back to them. I explain to them that on the 2012 summer it was working fine which means that coolant pressure was good. Since nobody had work on the car since last summer but them, radiator service on the winter 2012/13, and coolant pressure does not increase by itself. Someone, on the last service, probably disconnect a line removing the radiator and did an overcharge when it was recconected.They did not believe and said they would need to take a look to diagnose $93 (chi-chin for them) then they call me (Sharam and Rob) with a bill of $400 to repair the damage caused by them.Conclusion:My radiator ended up costing really $400 more than the dealer and a big headache because their mechanic mess up my A/C and they preferred instead to believe in me, or verify the vehice history they have at their computer, simply charged me $400 to fix the problem they created. I think that is careless and maybe they di it in purpose. Most of the people would not even realize.I would never have my car served there again.
