They took excellent care of my car for a fraction of what I would have paid at the dealer. I would definitely be coming back.
After dealing with the poor service department of Volkswagen of Alexandria it was a pleasant surprise to have one of my best service experiences at German Auto Group. Lui was a very kind, understanding, and timely service representative, one of the best I’ve ever dealt with, and he went above and beyond to help me get my car back up and running. Overall a very solid family oriented business, that charged me a fair price for excellent work. Would recommend German Auto Group of Alexandria to anyone looking for work on a German Vehicle!
Lui (pronounced Loo E) takes top honors in my book as arguably the friendliest service advisor Ive ever dealt with. Treats you like he cares / wants to help (which I believe he sincerely does). Happy to spend his time answering questions. Ultimately like talking to a friend. Displays humor, manners, punctuality and command of subject. Not sure what else I could ask for!
Amazing customer service and I learned a lot more about my car. Thank you Aaron and Brian for your hospitality, my car has not sounded this good for a long time. Cheers!
German Auto Group of Alexandria, on Pickett Street needs to be trusted with caution and self education of your vehicle. The people are extremely nice and appear knowledgeable when speaking with them, but don’t let the demeanor fool you into a false sense of trust.I had a transmission work done on a 2010 Mercedes Benz with German Auto Group that wasn’t done correctly causing further problems. After seeking diagnosis from not 1 or 2 but 3 other transmission repair shops I learned the work done wasn’t needed and the simple act of changing out the transmission fluid was and did fix the vehicle’s shifting problems. I was led to believe an expensive repair, replacement was needed. This after this Group replaced the transmission once already.Approach with caution, don’t let the smiles and mechanics showing you a “bad” part or system in the garage fool you unless you know for sure what’s wrong and just need the work done. Live and learn…Update, response to owner response July 2021Thank you for speaking with me concerning my experience and review, appreciate your time. Although the attention to my review concerns were acknowledged, the experience and review as written are correct.
I took our X5 to the BMW dealership up the street to fix the non-functioning door locks. BMW quoted me $2,900.00 to replace two electronic modules related to the locks.I then brought the car to German Auto Group and they quoted me half price to replace the two modules. But after actually doing diagnostics, they found two blown fuses and door lock mechanisms that needed lubrication. Total cost for the repair, $281.00.These guys are just great.
John and Adrian dont give up. They dont know the meaning of the word quit. Ive referred everyone in the mercedes classics chat rooms. Great place, great guys,
Passed through from out of town and Adrian was incredibly helpful, professional, and kind. Great service, thanks again.
Had a fuel trim check engine light and needed a bandaid to get me through emissions ASAP. I told them my predicament and they found the injector gaskets were leaking, which I found out on my own diagnosis as well with a can of starting fluid. Good to know they agree so I can tackle this repair when I have time. They cleaned the throttle body and told me To truly fix the issue the injector gaskets and intake manifold will need replacing or check engine will come back on. I reset the engine control unit and it passed emissions, no check engine light! A bit over a hundred bucks later and I passed emissions when I thought it could potentially be a 2k+ repair job. Miracle workers these guys.
My BMW suffered a punctured fuel tank, and after sitting at the dealership across the street for a week with no progress, I gave up and had the vehicle towed to German Auto Group of Alexandria- and I am SO glad I did. Adrian provided outstanding customer service. He was communicative throughout the entire process, providing easy to understand photo and text message updates, and worked seamlessly with my insurance company. He had me back on the road in 24 hours, with my car looking as spotless as the day I bought it. After a very stressful week, I was so grateful for his incredible professionalism and stellar communication. I will be using GAGA in the future for all of my routine maintenance!
Treated well from beginning to end. Clean nice waiting room. Had coffee, water, and snacks. Most importantly half the price of original quote I received elsewhere. I am their new customer 4 life.
I took my car for diagnostic, they were very nice to me. They did not charge me and wrote all the detail for the repair. The mechanic show me the area of concern and explained it. Very nice staff members, thanks everyone.
I took a visit to German Auto group and I must say I was very pleased with the service. Martha was my writer and I was highly impressed with the service I received. She was very professional, helpful and honest with me. She didn’t try to up sell me anything I didn’t do which is a big plus for me and gave me a great price. The technician was also very helpful. They took the time to explain to me what was wrong and why which not many shops do that so I appreciated the attention to detail. I highly recommend this shop to anyone who wants to work with good people and good prices.
Im not much of a review guy but German Auto Group is hands down the best shop in the area for BMW repairs (They do other brands too). My experience with GAGA makes me wonder why the BMW stealership even has a service center? From my initial inquiry for repairs/maintenance needed on my 06 BMW Martha (Your go to service advisor) made sure to keep me informed throughout the repairs as well as suggest some additional repairs that had they gone overlooked may have lead to some engine damage or an accident. Pricewise theyre affordable, techs are knowledgeable and honest, and the whole process is hassle-free. Stop in and see Martha for your next German car repairs and i guarantee youll be glad you did!
Martha has made me feel very welcome as a client. She is always smiling and always available to answer my various questions. I enjoyed interacting with her.Best,Rosita
Business is very fair, very honest, and didnt try to rake me over the coals like the dealer sales guys did. Will def return if needed 🤞
Didnt offer invoice on job projection, charged for parts they didnt replace, held vehicle for 9 weeks for simple repair, lots of Gaslighting games
The Manager Adrian Is A Pain In The A** With Repair Cost & My Friend Told Me They Fired Lui He Was The Best Hands Down
Great place to have your car maintenance. They were quick & professional. Martha at the front desk is very friendly. She gave me a great discount & made sure I was satisfied with the service. Highly recommend them (-:
I found it online, they specialize in German cars and since I had a bad experience with a local dealership, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately I am not impressed, I’m not saying there is something wrong, just felt the service wasn’t as good. I also felt it was a bit pricey for strictly an oil change, no fluid top off or any inspection/cleaning.The person at the front desk was actually really friendly.
I am writing on behalf of Martha who assisted me with an auto repair and diagnostic on my 2010 BMW X5. I am happy to write a great review for Martha who provided me five-star customer service and helped me to get my headlight fixed. I saved around $2500 by not having to replace the entire left headlight assembly. Instead Martha and her team provided a solid diagnostic and determined that the headlight wiring and functionality was not damaged but just needed replacement of a new ballast. They replaced the ballast and the headlight has been working great ever since. In my opinion, German Auto Group is a fair and honest private car dealership that does better service then the BMW name brand dealership. Their technicians are very knowledgeable and do great work. I’m recommending German Auto Group to anyone in the future that needs service and Martha is you go to Service Advisor.
Amazing service and amazing prices they work with you all the time ! Way better faster and cheaper than going to a BMW or Benz dealer and getting scammed on service charges and prices HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !
I brought my car (2008 Audi A4) in for service after my oil light came on. I was most impressed because before I drove it in, the manager of the shop called me and insisted I check the oil level. There was not enough oil to drive, which I would not have assumed. He stayed on the phone with me and walked me through how to add oil to my engine before I drove in. Supreme customer service! The shop is clean and every person I interacted with was pleasant and friendly. After getting a full diagnostic, GAGA walked me through every repair and answered all of my questions. They were fast and efficient and the work was good. I got the repairs done in July 2020, and in November my car is running in tip-top shape.I am very pleased with the quality of the work and the level of customer service, especially as a single woman who has had mechanics (heres looking at you, Audi dealership!) overstate repairs, make up unnecessary repairs, and try to scare me into repairs. I am very glad I found and used GAGA, and I cant imagine taking my car anywhere else as long as Im in the DMV!
Im not too big on reviews, but my experience this morning was NOTHING like the rest of the other reviews ive read(which is what prompted me to come out here in the first place.I called in a week ahead to let them know about some misfire issues and oil loss I am having with my BMW.I was then quoted $1,100 for a Valve Cover gasket replacement(another shop quoted $675 using the same exact part numbers and I have the documentation ill upload).I was also quoted $500 for a rubber bushing that I had done for $280.I asked about the misfire and hesitation..and the guy, I believe his name was Adrian, said Theres no check engine light so there cant be a misfire. Anyone who knows BMW knows that you can have multiple misfire codes without a check engine light on. I paid $149 for them to not even properly diagnose the issue with my car. I was quiet the whole time..just trying to decide whether or not I wanted to spend this kind of money today. He then bluttered Well you know this isnt a brand new engine!! I was really confused because i was just looking at the invoice and hadnt even made a comment. The shop I drove to hooked up a scan tool and found codes for misfires indicating plugs. I got the Valve Cover Gasket and bolts done, new plugs and coils to fix the slight misfire I was feeling and the bill was still less than what these guys quoted me for on HALF the issues I had.My total bill was $1079 for everything at the other shop and these guys were quoting $1189 for just one part of the problem. The other place IS a BMW shop as well.Ill be uploading the receipts and estimates as soon as possible.
No I dont you all r good people
Very customer service oriented. Mechanic was top notch. I would go to them again.
This place was awesome. My first time there the people were friendly knew my car (which made me feel very comfortable) advise on what was needed gave me upfront true pricing a d allowed me to choose what to do and not to do at the time. When I made a choice not to do a repair I thought was pricey they advised why it was needed the cost if I didnt do the repair but then Martha went and got approval to reduce the service cost to help me out with the amount Id pay out of pocket. They were great and my car is running much smoother. I will be taking my car there for service from now on.
My Experience at German Auto Group was great! The Service was Excellent thanks to the great customer service from Martha the employee that helped me out the day I got my car serviced. I would recommend anybody that has a German car in the area to go to this specific location for the best prices and services!
My new best friends! I took my 2013 BMW X5 here for service and brakes after years of being railroaded by the dealership across the street. The staff promptly greeted me upon my arrival after setting an appointment the previous day. The staff is professional, courteous and repaired my car in a timely manner. Even though I know nothing of cars they took me in the garage to show me the issues. I appreciated being able to work in their private office suites while waiting on my car and they also have a nice clean lounge area. I will only bring my car here now! Wish I had found them sooner.
Excellent and quick service
I came in earlier today to get my 228X serviced. The woman at the front desk was very nice. They took great care of me. I will continue to do business with them!
I had a seller bring in a car that need a pre-purchase inspection. I live out of state. The people at this shop were extremely helpful and courteous, and helped explain everything to me about the car over the phone so that I could make an educated decision on the purchase. They were quick and thorough. Thank you so much for making this process a little easier! Highly recommend!
I know next to nothing about cars, but have been consistently impressed by the service here. Theyve provided me with less expensive options that were never discussed or suggested at other locations for my BMW Z4. I have never felt theyre trying to upcharge me or sell me a service that I dont need. They are friendly, prompt, good, and significantly less expensive than a dealership. Cant recommend this place highly enough!
This place is just what you want in a mechanic. They are trustworthy, are not going to gouge you, and they don’t mind making the technicians available to you to talk through your issues. They are flexible, reasonable, and they do a good job. If you have an older model euro car and are looking for a place that will actually care for it, this is that place.
Made an appointment for 8:30 am and was told would take about 2 hrs. So at 10:30 I asked how much longer and reply was “oh about an hour and a half longer we thought it was a drop off”. For the record I told the gentleman i will be waiting for it and clearly I was sitting the whole time in their waiting area. Drop off or not, don’t give me a time frame just to tell me it’ll take another hour and a half!! It’s just frustrating especially when you thought you finally found a decent garage.
My new service go to. Adrian is trustworthy.
Update: There’s a new crew on staff. I advise you to check behind them. Tried to charge me for services they did not perform. Good thing I questioned it.
This is our go to shop. They are quick, knowledgeable, honest, and beat the dealer by about 50% on average. We have trusted them to keep our car in its best condition for nearly five years. They never upsell you, come up with random things to do, or try to use your lack of knowledge against you to pressure you to do extra things. They are more than happy to take the time and explain every little detail to you. We were very happy to find this shop. They are also near some cool places, like the Mediterranean Bakery, which we often visit if we have to take the car in.
Quality work and very honest! Replaced my breaks and rotors for a reasonable price. Very knowledgeable and experienced with Volkswagens.Went above and beyond to make sure my car is functioning at its best, even beyond the primary reason I came in. Left the building with a properly functioning, washed car. Highly satisfied!
The people here were very accommodating and pleasant to speak to. I needed a few things done on my VW and they were able to help me and were knowledgeable of German cars. Very clean environment! Competitive price! Overall great first experience.
Amazing place. Would recommend it to any friend. Staff kept me up to date with everything happening to my Porsche and a quick turn around. Awesome prices and great customer service. This is definitely the place to go.
This place is expensive as hell they wanted me to pay 600 for glow plugs for my TDI no thanks
I came in for brake work and the price seemed reasonable. However, I brought my car in at 10:30am and although they told me the parts should be in by 1 and they would work on it then, they didnt work on it till 5:30. So I came in at 2pm to pick it up and waited 4.5 hours. Since I had waited, they were nice enough to offer me a free oil change on my next visit. I thought that was very nice of them until I called up the next week asking if I could come in for the free oil change. They lied and said they did not say that but they would take care of me and offered me $20 off. I hung up the phone. Terrible customer service. I just hope the brake work they did doesnt match their customer service.***NOTE: After I made the post, the manager called me and did offer to honor the free oil change. I appreciated this gesture and accepted his apology. Especially with him calling about 15 minutes after my post. I upped my stars as the work was a good price and it seems that they do care about their clients, just a bad miscommunication.
99 dollar oil change regardless of quantity required. Highly recommend for your European auto. Staff is great and the techs take the time to explain any issues my Audi had and the timeline which I should get them fixed. Won’t go anywhere else.
Definitely a great place to take your car. I called one afternoon for a quote on a transmission fluid change and they were able to take the car the next day. Its definitely pricey, but worth the piece of mind knowing they did the work right. They also gave me an honest answer to whether or not I needed belts changes and told me that I didnt, which saved me some money.Definitely will take my car here in the future!
The reason I keep going back to GAGA is that they are honest and are expert at what they do. I love my BMW and trust these guys to take good care of it. Theyre not cheap: quality workmanship never is. They take good care of their customers!
I came here to get an estimate on my BMW 320i X-Drive and the customer service was outstanding. The technician explained everything clearly and showed me what was happening under the hood of my car along with his recommendations. The pricing and service out beats any BMW dealership that Ive been to in the past. This will be the only place that does anything related to my car going forward.
This place is absolutely amazing! I got cheaper deals here compared to other places. Definitely saved thousands of dollars with the issues I was having!!! Steve is the BEST!! He is awesome and provided the best service. Very knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. Recommend this place to everyone!
Came in for an oil.change they treated me like royalty i would recommend to any one looking together thor euro cars taken care of
Wonderful garage filled with smart, friendly staff who treat customers well and clearly value their business. Im always treated respectfully, and I never feel like theyre trying to sell me on something I dont need or pressure me into expensive choices. Their facilities for waiting clients are lovely -- definitely nicer than my home office -- and they have good snacks. :) I would not take my car anywhere else!
Got a diagnosis for my VW. The staff was helpful, informative, and friendly. After diagnosing my vehicle they did some research to see if the issue was covered by Volkswagen. I will go to Volkswagen to get them to repair it. If VW will not fix my car my diagnosis fee will go towards the repairs. They did not push unnecessary repairs or maintenance. Took about an hour and a half with no appointment.Went in again. My car was making a weird rattling. Jung (one of the mechanics) diagnosed my car in just a few minutes and showed me the issue. Continue to be impressed with the staff. Most definitely recommend this place.
Honestly, one of the best experiences Ive ever had at an auto body / repair shop. Absolutely deserving of all the 5 star ratings. This will will be the only place I take my car from now on.Ive always hated having to get anything on my car worked on. I usually dread coming in only to find that there are hidden fees, new issues, or just having to pay ridiculous prices and not knowing if they are legitimate or if Im getting fleeced. It wasnt like this with Steve. He explained everything clearly and made sure I was aware of what they found with their initial diagnosis BEFORE any work was completed. The prices were more than fair, the work was done quickly, and they really went above and beyond in the customer service department. Not to mention, the quality of their work. They were able to fix my door (its seriously like brand new again), service my car, and perform a safety inspection faster than the time it would have taken for any other garage to order the part (and have it delivered) to even get started on the door repair.Lets face it. Having a German car can be a hassle. But now Ive honestly got peace of mind when I have to drop my car off for any repairs, big or small. This is my new go to place. And Im happy to give them my business. Steve and the rest of the team were all awesome. Thanks so much!
Took my C300 Mercedes for 100k miles service: immediate appointment, fair price, knowledgeable owner, sensible suggestions. Way better than any Mercedes dealer in the area. And I am picky with my car...
I wrench on my own cars, but there are certain jobs that you need to leave to professionals. I called my friends to see who had a recommendation around the area and was referred to GAG. I am SO impressed with German Auto Group and in particular with Jong the mechanic and Marta the service rep. I am always skeptical of any mechanics shop but this one has my full confidence. It started on a Saturday when I broke a critical connector on my 2002 Porsche Boxster and I just did not have the expertise to fix it. I called GAG on Saturday late morning and Marta managed to get me to talk a few minutes to Jong. Over the phone it was clear that Jong knew the issue and made me comfortable in being able to fix that as well as an odd noise from the rear. I brought the car in and Monday got a nice call from Marta that told me exactly what the issues were clearly, how long it would take and what it would cost. a few days later my car was back to tip top shape. Marta kept me up to date every day on the status of my car and when the parts were supposed to come in. Jong not only performed the connector fix, he also installed a new wheel bearing and fixed my hand brake and reset the codes and I swear he did other small items here and there he saw needed fixing because when I picked up the car I noticed small items had been attended to, even if it was just some electrical cleaner or cleaning the wheel hub and items around it. This shop went above and beyond from start o finish and I highly recommend them. Many have stated the costs may be high but honestly you get what you pay for. This shop is exemplar and will continue to bring my German cars to them. Special THANK YOU TO JONG AND MARTA!!!!!!!!
Had a car inspected here and they were very nice, worked quickly, and gave me exactly the information I was looking for at a fraction of what it would cost at a dealership. Highly recommend!
Great service
I have been going to German Auto for two years and they have taken good care of my 10 year old daily beater. Great staff. They are always transparent and upfront about any maintenance costs, never had an issue with any repairs or parts, since theyre always OEM.
Driving through DC area and had a problem with my Mercedes 211 CDI (Diesel E Class). Wouldnt start so I had it towed to German Auto Group per a friends recommendation...Results: Quick and accurate diagnosis..Cam and cranks sensor replacement. They are proactive and mindful of pleasing the customer and do bend over backwards to ensure that I was satisfied. Id say be an educated consumer and then go to German Auto Group.
I used to take my BMW X5 to the dealership for all of my maintenance and repairs. After one visit to German Auto Group in Alexandria, I wont be going back to the dealership anymore. The staff members were all very friendly and professional. I saved a lot of money- even with OEM parts. I didnt feel gouged or up-sold on unnecessary services, which is a customary practice of the local dealerships. My experience was smooth and worry-free. Consider me converted.
This place is great! I had my Audi go down and had it towed there. They helped me make a decision on how to move forward and even held the car for me until I could get it worked out. They also did a great job on a prior repair for me. Super place!
This place was better than I could have ever expected. They are experts with Mini Coopers. The place I had my oil changed before messed up and caused problems. These guys were able to take care of the issue and were very professional. Steve, the general manager, was great to work with and was awesome from start to finish! I’ll definitely be taking my car back there for all service and repairs!
I have had both my bmws serviced at this shop. They are somewhat cheaper than the dealer prices. What is best is that they diagnose and fix the issue the first time. Steve is good at communicating what the problem is and keeping you posted on the time frame to finish. They have a nice waiting area lounge and they always wash the car . Highly recommend them for BMW work
I bring my car here every time. I used to go to the Arlington Mercedes Dealer until they quoted me nearly $5,000 for a repair. German Auto Group did it for $2,000 and Ive been going back ever since. Also, the dealer once told me how difficult it was to replace spark plugs on an ML 350 while justifying an $800 annual service price. German Auto Group charged $84 to replace the spark plugs.
Great service at an affordable price! Steve was very helpful and friendly. Work was done as promised and on time. Would definitely recommend to friends and family!
As arriving i noticed everyone is so friendly .I found German Auto Group of Alexandria by luck due to it being so close to the dealers who lied and told me i needed repairs that were very unneeded. Steve is very honest! Steve said him self that he didnt want to just throw parts at my vehicle just for fun (sounds like an honest person to me!). The issues was less major then the dealer stated. He has earned me a as full time loyal customer and also telling all my friends who own German vehicles to go see him! Thanks again Steve and staff !
Absolutely FANTASTIC! Very quick service and friendly staff, Todd is very knowledgable and went above and beyond with getting my car fixed and explaining everything that was wrong with it. Great affordable price. Would HIGHLY recommend!
Unfortunately my experience with the German Auto Group it was bad. I took my car there to fix the cooling system. I was quoted $1900.00 for the repair, and I agreed to have the car repaired with them. When I went there to pick up the car my final bill was $2488.82. I paid the money and we took the car for a trip to Atlanta, right before we arrived to Atlanta I started experiencing the same problem that German Auto Group was supposed to repair. I ended up taking the car to a local auto shop in Atlanta to have my car evaluated. Upon evaluating the car, I am informed that the same repair is needed that German Auto Group failed to correct. After contacting German Auto Group to inform them that I was experiencing the same exact problem they told the local Auto Repair shop to send pictures of the required repair. After speaking with German Auto Group again they agreed to reimburse me the additional $900.00 I paid to have the car repaired correctly in Atlanta. After months of promising and lying to me, that I would be reimbursed for the additional incurred expenses from their lack of craftsmanship. I just found out that they do not want to reimburse me, after leading me on for all those months
I highly recommend German auto group of Alexandria. Their service is quick they provide transportation to the rental location if needed and their customer service is outstanding!
Absolutely first rate in every way. They are experts, professional, and personable. A client for some 3 years, Ive never had anything but great experiences with them.
All the staff were amazing! The repair was promptly done . The staff made both of us feel so welcome!
I took my car in for some major problems the dealer said I needed thousands of dollars of work. I couldn’t of been happier with German Auto they showed me the problem and explained the ones that were urgent. The items that could wait and the items that were perfectly still good on my vehicle .I was able to afford the urgent repairs today, I know in a few months I can save for the other repairs needed on my car. They were cheaper then the dealer and most importantly honest.Thank you German Auto I will be back !
Ive never had a great experience with car repair, so to say Im entirely satisfied with this business would be an understatement to my excitement. I took my beetle to VW, who gave me an outrageous quote for repairs, immediately called German Auto for a quote. Steve was very prompt to return my phone call with a much more reasonable and better than fair quote. Took my car there and they had it fixed very quickly. I cant recommend this business enough, everyone was very friendly and professional, and for once I didnt feel I was being ripped off.
Trustworthy mechanics! Great guy and great staff! Highly recommended.
Take my Eos in. Always receive great service when dealership hasnt been able to fix it right .
A few days ago - I went to start my BMW and all of a sudden I feel my BMW shaking and telling me its time to go to the emergency room! For years Ive been going to Passport BMW whom I was happy with just not so happy once the bill comes along. Since moving to D.C. I have yet to find my reliable quality auto mechanic. I said to myself today is the day I will research the heavens for DMV/BMW mechanic and lone and behold I find German Auto Group of Alexandria. This place really really lives up the hype! Upon arriving at German Auto Group of Alexandria via my AAA tow - I was greeted by Steve and Andrew. Steve who later I found out is the service manager literally jogged outside in the pouring rain to greet me. Big kudos for that! My first observation was the cleanliness and professionalism of their workers and a facility that really takes care of keeping an organized shop. Shortly thereafter, I was taken to their guest lounge which provides complimentary coffee, water and lite snacks. After about an hour the car was diagnosed with repairs needed to the ignition coil and spark plug. I sat down with Andrew and he walked me through the cost of the actual parts which was very straightforward. The cost of labor was very affordable considering the amount of work going into it.The repair was done as promised and Andrew went under the hood to show me the work that was done. I was very pleased with the individual attention that was provided. Andrew also said he would follow up in a week to ensure the vehicle was functioning without any issues. Overall really impressed with the customer service and work quality. I highly recommend German Auto Group the next time you are debating like I was to go to the dealership or not.
Great experience getting a couple minor fixes to my Audi. I felt very well taken care of and the prices seemed fair (although what do I know? 😂)
Came to this shop because of the good reviews.....Coolant light kept coming on saying that my coolant was low. I took my BMW to this shop and it turns out my Coolant tank had a hole in it. I was being charged $400 to just replace the tank. I called another shop in maryland and said they would replace and install the same tank for $280.I ended up getting it done here because i already dropped the car off and they said they would match.I was told I was getting OEM Parts thats why the price was so high but the coolant tank for sure isnt OEM.**Update: Brung my car back as the low coolant light came back on 2 weeks later. Spoke with the owner and he replaced the coolant tank with OEM.No leaks or anything, maybe something was off with the coolant sensor?
I had a Mercedes S63 that I needed a pre-purchase inspection performed on and Todd and his crew were excellent. Im out of state, but they worked me in the schedule for the next day, were very thorough, gave me a clean report and could not have been more professional in both their response time, attention to detail, etc. I would highly recommend them for this service.
Excellent customer service! Shabaz is really an awesome guy! Thanks again Shabaz
Great affordable service
Great service, great workmanship quality and great prices, very glad I took my 2013 BMW 528i to here which saved my almost $200.00 vs dealership
April 2018-There aren’t enough positive words in the English language to express my satisfaction and gratitude for German Auto Group of Alexandria, on Pickett Street in Alexandria but I’m going to try. When I briefly spoke with Steve on a Saturday I immediately believed I could trust this business.I unknowingly purchased a very sick 2010 Mercedes-Benz E350 4Matic with barely 60,000 miles, and the extended warranty. I had a “pre-purchase inspection” at the dealership that came back with very minor issues so I bought the car. After being diagnosed with “terminal” problems shortly after my purchase at this same dealership, “they” recommended I trade the car in for a new one. I panicked and made the trip to CarMax where I was provided a quote for the purchase of the car.I decided to take the car in for an estimate with German Auto Repair of Alexandria based on the earlier conversation with Steve. I was given a ride home with a very nice man, Joe. The quote for all of the work needed based on the dealership written recommendations of repairs needed, and my backyard mechanic friends was more than fair. The repairs were major, transmission, engine leaks, engine/transmission mounts, sway bar links, brakes, very extensive work.Steve was a true pro keeping me up-to-date on the progress. He worked with the extended warranty company’s policy of reimbursement for one of the problems. Steve is the direct contact. He is clear and doesn’t waste time. The car was worked on, and fixed quickly. It’s clear by the end result the repair technicians, are efficient, knowledgeable and just straight up know what they are doing. When i received the call the car is ready, Joe once again picked me up and gave me a ride to pick up my car. The car was clean, inside and out. After driving the car over the weekend I’m happy to say, it’s like a new car. After all those words and my story, do your vehicle a favor, let these professionals care for your vehicle, you will be satisfied with the entire experience and have peace of mind. You’ll be treated fairly and with respect. I will never take my Mercedes-Benz anywhere else, ever.
Great shop and conveniently located. I limped into German Auto Group about 6 months ago when DC traffic finally claimed my 1999 A4 Avant wagon (heater core leak). It ended up being not worth fixing (to me) but we worked out a great deal with Andrew. He took the car and fixed it for his daughter.Just bought an older BMW and I am going to bring it to them to work up a DIY priority list for this track/project car. Great guys to work with, nice reception area, clean bays, and good equipment yields a great dealership.
Amazing place to get your German vehicle fixed!! Worth going here!
Best place for speciality service.
Will be back for future repairs on my high-mileage BMW. After fixing other problems, Steve spent hours on a sticky turbo error code. Had no luck on that, he recommended me to get a diagnosis from BMW dealer and come back to finish the repair, and did not charge me for those hours.
