I have an older model vehicle (1987 Toyota Corolla LE) which required carburetor repair/replacement. Steve showed & explained the problem to me. The repair was done with a short turnaround (about 1 1/2 days) at a reasonable cost. Thanks for the great service!
Great local service shop. Helped me find a replacement tire set and get me back on the road in record time!Living nearby, I always see this place staying busy, which is a great sign.
I went to foreign car service for years when I had my BMW. I had nothing but good experiences when utilizing their services. More reasonably priced than the BMW dealership and never had a problem with anything having to be fixed more than once.I bought a ford a few years ago and figured i would just have it serviced at the Ford dealership since service on a Ford is substantially cheaper than a BMW. Two years ago, after taking my car into the Ford dealership for a strange sound, I was told by the service manager that I need a repair that would cost $1700. They informed me that it wouldnt be safe to drive with out the repair. Just to get a second opinion I took my car to Foreign Car Service. (They also work on American cars)I told them what the dealership had told me and after inspecting my car they informed me that the deanship was wrong. They performed the repairs for me and it was something far less significant than the Ford dealership had said it was. They ended up saving me more than $1000. I truly appreciate their integrity and honesty.
Corey and the Maintenance team got my 17 911 Carrera squared-away within one day! All service was reasonably priced compared to the dealer in Tysons Corner (especially since my warranty recently expired) and Im planning on making return service visits in the future. Great family-run business and Id definitely recommend checking this place out if youre in the area.
Cory did a great job getting my 1976 MB 450SL in super shape after some engine trouble. Great place to take a classic Mercedes for general work. Plan to use them for as long as I own it. Very pleased.
Honest, reliable, timely service. My car actually drives better now, which I suppose is to be expected since they fixed a few things. What wasnt expected is that they cleaned my rims after rotating the tires. I am shamefully lazy about washing my car but in this little detail they returned the car looking much better than it did when I took it to them. And of course it runs better. BTW, I drive a domestic car, so dont let the name scare you away.
Really good service by seemingly expert mechanics who know their cars. Andreas is great to work with and very attentive and professional. Prices are better than dealer prices. Visit them if you have a VW?
Good people and good repair. Can be pricey but they never tried to upsell me or screw me on products I didnt need which I value greatly. Big thank you to them!
Really like these guys. They are more expensive than your average car repair shop, but definitely worth it as they do high quality work. Once you get to know them they treat you like family, and dont short change you. When they call suggesting an additional repair it doesnt feel like they are out to get me, but rather are just looking out for my best interest. Would highly recommend them if you are looking for superior car service in the Alexandria area!
Great place to take your car for service. Great competitive prices and everyone that I interfaced with was beyond nice.
Weve taken our cars to Foreign Car Service for many years. Exceptionally professional level of service and fair prices. Their approach to respect for customers reflects the integrity of a family owned business that started in Northern Virginia about 50 years ago. You wont find a better or more reliable car repair facility.
Brought in a car to do a PPI. Worst experience ever. The guy didn’t even provide me a full list of what I asked for to look over. I found out more about the car from the previous owner of what needed to be taken care of than this shop. Waste of time and money.
Far superior service and value compared to the Mercedes dealer!
Ignore any negative reviews you see here. I have been a customer of Foreign Car Service for 30 years. In fact, my dad was going here before I was old enough to drive. No auto repair shop is free, but this is a family owned business that has been around since 1964. Honest, straightforward and knowledgeable.
Very reliable and fair. They charge less than the dealer, and the work and customer service are better. I have been going there for 10 years. I have had 1 issue / disagreement with them. They gave me a partial credit. Pretty good track record after all that time.
Save this business, if you have a bmw out of warranty you are going to need it. They work on all cars
I trust them implicitly for excellent service for many years!
Cats pajamas. You understand why they stay busy.
I had an OE spoiler installed on my 1999 M3. The work was excellent, the customer service was mediocre. Job took an extra day, spent a lot of time on hold, that sort of thing. But work was done well, these guys know BMWs.
Problem with car was misdiagnosed. One month after spending $500, I am spending another $200 to fix the problem. I dont feel they listened to me on the symptoms, and repaired an unrelated issue. The poor diagnosis actually created a dangerous situation with a fuel leak. I dont think there is good communication between the front office and the mechanics.
Excellent service
$95 to get a diagnostic report and quote. Got quoted $1,265 to replace catalytic converter. Part online costs ~$150 they charging $810. Even got hit with a $6.99 supplies fee - which apparently pays for the lights, utilities and other overhead costs necessary to run the business. These guys are what gives auto repair shops such bad reputations.
Timely and accurate repairs
