A bit on the pricey side but has quality service.

I would not recommend this shop or the Old Town Auto Body and Paint next door. My truck had a flat so I had to have the truck towed in because the spare tire winch was rusted out and there was no way to get the spare tire down. I asked them to to fix the flat tire and give me a quote for replacing the rusted out winch. When I picked up the truck and drove it home I measured the tire pressure and the tire is still not retaining air.... They quoted me over $500 to replace the spare tire winch which is a $50 - $150 part and all it takes to replace is unscrewing two bolts. They also tried to up sell me $220 to have a repair made on one of the rear tires which does not have anything wrong with it.The person trying to up sell me on the rear tire repair did not even know that I brought the truck in to have the flat tire in the front fixed.I originally had Old Town Auto quote body damage on the front of the truck, they quoted a little over $1000. My insurance re-quoted the damage at $2,900 and then Old town ended up charging over $3200 for the repairs.I was quoted to have the repairs made in 7 days and it took over 2 weeks for them to finish the repairs.Do not trust this shop, they are dishonest and will not charge you a fair price on top of not actually completing the work.

I found this place after getting a quote from another shop for almost $1,600 for an alternator replacement ($580 was just for labor). I wasnt too surprised since my car is an import, however I figured I could do a lot better than that. Im glad I brought my car to the Automotive Service Garage. They knocked $600 off the other quote and provided great service. My car is running fine now, and I saved some money. Im definitely pleased and I would recommend/return to this shop.

ASG has some of the best technicians around. Their customer service is beyond fabulous and they have always been prompt in replying and providing the best options. I will continue to use them and highly recommend them if you are in need.

I love these guys. Ive searched a while for a quality garage for routine maintenance on my 2000 Ford. When the car need extra work performed, they fix it and Ive never, and I mean never had to bring the car back to them for the same problem. They diagnosis the problem and fixed it RIGHT the first time. I love it...its a great group of guys who care about their customer. Service here is excellent. I came in needing some emergency work done and I must have gotten there at just the right time because they got my car in the garage almost immediately and got the work done fast. I was really happy with them and would definitely give them more work in the future.

I’ve taken my Lexus here twice- once for a new radiator and once for body work. Their customer service is great and they’re really honest. I was referred to by a coworker who has been going for years and I intend to do the same. It’s pretty convenient as well because Enterprise will pick you up from there and it’s also close to a metro spot.

I took my truck here after going to several other places and being turned away because they did not have the equipment to do an alignment on a quad cab (too long).Anyway, these guys were good over the phone and in person. Gave me a quote over the phone for the front wheels only and also one for all the wheels. I had some recent minor suspension work done, so I knew the alignment was off. Also, since it is a solid rear axle, I was 90% sure there was no way to do an alignment on the rear. Sure enough they only charged for the front.They also called and said that they noticed that my torsion bars could use an adjustment. I told them to go ahead and make the adjustments. They made the adjustment at no charge. I know its a very minor thing and easy to do, but I also know that most shops would have charged.

I cant say enough good about the guys at Automotive Service Garage. When my alternator went out, they had it fixed within 24 hours, and even paid the cost of towing after the towing company left me hanging for several hours. They are polite, professional, and some of the kindest gentlemen youll meet. I would highly, highly recommend them.

I came in with a minor problem expecting it to be a big concern, turned out that the mechanics looked over the car and found nothing wrong, gives me peace of mind to know that they did a thorough search and didnt try to over charge me and make a problem since i thought there was one in the first place, very honest people that you can depend on to get the job done. ASG got my car fIxed after having to tow it there when it stalled on the road. The service was friendly and thorough but after a little more research, the markup for the sensor part and what was done was very expensive. If youre on a budget that isnt built for the old town crowd, go look elsewhere.

Quite disappointed. I took a vehicle there once and had pretty good service, price was rather reasonable. For this reason, I chose to continue dealing with them. I called at one time and received a quote for work I would like to have done on a 2010 Ford F150. Nothing major, replace factory running boards with aftermarket ones. I have all parts, would just require installation. I was quoted a pretty good price and told to bring the truck by after the holiday season when it wouldnt be so busy. Called back, not quite sure whom I dealt with the first time, or this time, but was told-in a rather short tone-that they would not be interested in installing running boards..., in addition to a couple other things I inquired about. He actually (rudely) cut me off, as if was from another planet for even asking, like I had inconvenienced him by even bothering to call and ask about it. This review may not make a huge difference, Im sure they have an established client base. But good customer service still goes a long way, in my opinion at least...would not recommend.UPDATE 3 months later:I received a telephone call from the establishment today, apologizing for the experience I had the last time I called. I was informed that the employee had been terminated (which by no means was my intent). I appreciate the phone call and the individual with whom I spoke seemed extremely sincere. The fact that he took time to reach out after obviously reading the review is kind of a big deal. Although I ended up having someone else perform the services in question, out of fairness, I think 4 stars are appropriate. Again, good customer service makes all the difference to me. Considering the (good) quality of service I got before, the phone call and the apology outweigh the negative experience. I have since moved to another state, but if I was still in the area, I would be inclined to take my vehicle there.

I took my car here after driving across the country, wanting to have them check it out and make sure I wasnt neglecting anything that needed maintence. I asked them to check it over. Nothing was said about cost. A few hours later- my car sat for a few hours before they had a chance to look at it- they charged me $100 for their time spent checking my car. I think this is exceedingly high to check out a car and not actually do anything to it, especailly because they never told me it would cost this much to have them look it over... I would have taken it somewhere else had I known. But they presented me with this bill for labor already done and of course I had no choice but to pay it, even though I protested as best I could.In the course of their check, they discovered $400 worth of things that needed to be taken care of immediately (new brake shoes and a tail-light out), and an additional few hundred if I wanted to take care of everything that needed attention (new brake drums, for one). I decided I would take my car somewhere else, having already dropped $100 and my car is still exactly the same as when I brought it in. I am on a tight budget, I cant afford to just throw money away.The next place I take my car to (a highly recommended mechanic), I had them check the brake shoes- they say my brake shoes are fine. All it needs is a little lubrication on the backing plates. After doing an oil change, a comprehensive check of the brakes, and repairing the taillights, I drive away with an $80 bill.I dont usually write reviews, but I wish I could have read something like this before taking my car here.

These guys are unreal. I am 56 and this is the best garage I ever took any of my vehicles to in my life - bar none. I had another shop quote over $1100 in labor and they quoted $470. But, it gets much, much better. I bought my own parts on-line - Porsche Boxster-S, because the first shop asked me to (the fact that these guys even allowed me to bring my own parts was a major accommodation).The on-line folks screwed up and sent the wrong part. These guys drove over to Rockville (two hours easy) to the Porsche dealer; still the incorrect part. The pulled the part (wheel bearing) and found the right part, picked it up and installed. I show up and they confess - the guy on the phone screwed up, the bearing alone was 5 hours of labor (they also replaced a lower control arm) and they grossly undercharged me for their labor costs.Cost to me for their estimate mistake - zero. Cost to send one of their team on a fruitless trip to Rockville - for my mistake - zero. Cost to pick up the second part so I could get my car back in a timely fashion - zero. Cost to have my car occupy their lift for extra two days - zero.And - they worked extra hard to get my car back on a Friday afternoon - and it was over 100 today (July 19th). And they called me repeatedly and kept me up to date on the process. So, I screwed up, the Porsche dealer screwed up, their estimator screwed up and the cost to me - zero. They could have very legitimately slammed me with $100s of extra dollars in charges. Absolutely an incredible customer service experience. And the car now runs great. TELL YOUR FRIENDS - I AM!!

Alternator went out on my car and died near automotive service garage, had it towed 3 miles to them( 68$) and they told me all i needed was a battery ( my battery was relatively new at the time) sold me a battery ($226) and i asked them to check my alternator they obviously lied about checking it because as soon as i picked up my car from them my check gauges and check engine light came on and my battery guage was reading 12v ( alternator not charging) so against my better judgment i decided to try to make it back home and just fix it myself but my car died 20 min away from my house so i had to have it towed again ($90). when all they had to do was see that my battery wasnt charging and replace my alternator ( a $138 part ) that takes maybe 1 hour to replace it should have cost me $138 alternator $80 work and $68 for the original tow ($286) but because of this GARAGES INCOMPETENCY it cost me ($522) and thats after i replaced the alternator myself saving roughtly 80$ . i called the garage and told them what happened when my car died and they did nothing to help me, issued no refund or partial refund, they didnt offer to help tow my car the second time .. and after it all they left someone elses key fob for an 09 accura in my car ....DONT GO TO THIS GARAGE

We have had nothing but great experiences at this garage. I am suspicious of all automotive repair because it seems largely opaque to me, but I have had multiple moments where these guys have made it clear to me that I had cheaper options then some of the repairs they suggested. A recent sampling: I had a 10-year-old minivan with somewhat dim headlights. I took it in to them and they told me that I could replace the headlights, but that the best thing I could do would just be to spend $20 on a polishing kit from Amazon and clear most of the fog off the outside of the light. I took my newer van in just a few days ago to get the brakes worked on and talked to the people in the body shop attached to the garage. I showed him where someone had rubbed their car against the driver side of our bumper and asked about how severe it was. He looked at it, told me that he would recommend some polish that would take most of it off (and that it was just transfer marks) instead of trying to sell me repainting the bumper. Then later, when I brought the car in for the brake work itself, I didnt realize it at the time but they actually cleaned off most of the marks for me without charging me or mentioning it when I picked up the car! Great guys, totally professional, would trust them with any car.
