This dealership actually had the used Genesis G80s I was looking for at the right price. I had conversed with Dan by email about the cars I was interested in. Unlike other dealerships, Dan had both vehicles right by the front door, ready to test drive. After being warmly greeted and helped by the dealerships owner, I was in the first vehicle test driving within 5 minutes. The whole purchase process was painless and easy, even though I was purchasing a vehicle over state lines. Very impressed with Alexandria Hyundai - its worth the drive!

Went to dealership to setup a service appointment. Walked out to see my car blocked in. Asked the people inside to kindly move the suv so I could leave. I waited outside for 5 min. and no one came out. I moved the suv myself because I had a doctor’s appointment to be at. Thanks for helping me Hyundai

Sam Jung greeted us at the door, listened to our needs and interests, suggested the perfect car to test drive and we ended up buying it within the next 24 hours. Stopped by today after speaking with a salesman by the name of Eric on Saturday afternoon on the phone. I told him the vehicle we were interested in and confirmed they had some in inventory at this location. After confirming, I said that I would stop by today. He said that he would be there and would see me then.Well, we came by today….no one acknowledged us while we were outside. We went inside to see if there was anyone able to assist or see if Eric was there and or available. We stood there, again…no one acknowledged us. I walked over to the receptionist and asked if she could get someone to assist. She went to see if a salesman was available; which turns out to be Eric. Before the receptionist could even get out what she needed to say…Eric said “I don’t have time” or something of that nature..while we were standing there. He didn’t even acknowledge us. It was so odd and very unprofessional. The receptionist said Sunday’s were by appointment but Eric failed to mention that when I spoke with him Saturday afternoon. Regardless of appointment or not, the customer service (or lack there of) we received today was very distasteful.Oh well, they lost out on a big sale today. We took our business elsewhere and if you are someone who values customer service I would advise you to do the same.

What i like about him is that is not the type of salesman who is very aggresive towards their customer, he just let me take my time and just assisted me through the whole process. Went to look at cars. Not one person acknowledged us during our 20 minutes at the dealership. NO ONE gave us any attention! Not even to say we will be with you shortly. I called to complain to a manager. The manager or person who answered and said they were a manager was rude and eventually hung up on me because he didnt like that I was upset. He kept speaking over me and his final words were did you have an appointment. I said no and he said well then and HUNG UP on me. Disgraceful representation of their company. Will not be back and will for sure NEVER give anyone a good word about this dealership.

I found Alexandria Hyundai to be a very good dealership with a professional staff and competent service technicians. I was very pleased with the 30,000 mile service on my Hyundai Genesis. My extensive service was completed as quickly as possible and my vehicle was returned to me washed and ready to go. They even noticed that my annual inspection was due and did it without charge to me. My car is now completely inspected and the car is fully serviced for the remainder of the summer months. The alarm on my 2013 Santa Fe has been going off randomly for a few days. I made an appointment for today at 3:00. I got there a few minutes and they were very busy. However they inspected my car and determined that it the sensor on my rear passenger latch. A body shop had replaced that door last Fall. By 3:30 I was on my way to that body shop to resolve. I want to thank Gerald, Robert and Troy for their courtesy and professionalism

Awesome dealership! One of the best experiences Ive ever had at a dealership! I was looking for a Veloster N and I called two other dealerships in Maryland and they were not willing to assist me. I called Alexandria Hyundai and Eric immediately went to his manager and they ordered a 2021 Veloster N. I was told it would be a while but a few days later Eric called me and said it was here! They inspected the car, let me take it for a spin (alone), then detailed it. Michael in finance was super nice and wasnt pushy at all with the extended warranties. Overall, great experience. I drove 45 minutes to get here and Ill be referring all my friends/family!

This has been the worst experience I have had with any dealership. I made an appointment weeks ago to drop off my car for service. I got there and was informed that the technician who performed these services would be leaving soon and I could reschedule or leave the car there. I left my car there and was ensured it would be ready by the afternoon the next day. I tried calling 5 times with no response. Online it stated that my car would be ready by 5pm the previous day. I am still awaiting a response and will never be back. People there are rude over the phone. Eric did a great job taking over my case and assisting me, but the business is very unprofessional.

Im super frustrated because I have been reaching out to Gerald, the manager for the last 2 weeks and still have not received a phone call or response to my email regarding my car rental reimbursement due to my car being serviced for the last month. My car is under warranty and just want my out of pocket expenses paid.I even requested that Gerald provide me with the information so I could follow up with the reimbursement on my own if he was to busy to do so. Where is he customer service at when I have been a loyal customer at this location??? I just need someone to assist me with my reimbursement and thats it. Just beyond frustrated at this point with Geralds non responsiveness.

Finally operator transferred to some one by name Gerald and his mail box full - can not accept messages. I bought a Sonata couple of years back. Now in the market for a new Hyundai. However have a serious doubt to consider a different dealership

Dropped off my in-laws car for service to resolve a check engine light. Felt ignored from the moment I stepped into the place. They diagnosed the issue, then gave us the runaround about the problem not being covered under warranty despite being part of the drivetrain (and not a regular maintenance item). Left it there a week for them to fix. Turns out they never even touched the car. Save your time. Take the drive out to Fairfax for service.

While Ive never had issues with the quality of work conducted at this location, the estimated times are often off. Yes, for scheduled appointments too. Scheduled the install of four new tires for noon. Upon arrival, they were unaware of the scheduled appointment. Fortunately, I printed out the email confirmation. Estimated time, three hours... Waited three hours before following-up, informed that it would be another 1.5 hours. Justification, they only have one tire machine. I assume a respectable dealership has more than one point of failure for an essential task? Poor justification. Quality of work is a 4. Staff is a 4. Timelines and justifications a 2. Well round up to 3. Will update based on next experience!

I have owned automobiles for over 40 years and have taken them for service to all sorts of places. The service that I experienced at Alexandria Hyundai was exceptional. I received a text message first thing in the morning that my Tucson was being serviced and that Daniel would be in charge of it the entire time. And then I again got a text when it was completed. That has never, ever happened at any other auto service establishment. I am impressed.

After my buying experience here I should of known how bad service was going to be! Arrived at 9.20am for my 9.30am appointment. Was told to fill in a Dropbox form which was my first sign things weren’t going to be good. The Dropbox form asked when I’d like the car, I said 11am which would give 1.5hrs seeing as though it was just the new car 3000 mile check. Went and got breakfast and walked around del Ray and went back at 11.20 and was told to stand aside and wait and someone would be with me. After 15 mins standing around waiting I was finally told that my car was not ready and they’d only just written it up a few minutes ago. I was also told that by dropping off a car they don’t give a time it will be ready, just that it will be ready at the end of the day. (Would of been nice to know that dropping it off, I would have asked for a loaner!) Absolutely abysmal service from a ‘service department’Judging by the other reviews, management/owners don’t read these, nor care so I guess this won’t be any different!Do yourself a favor and go to Springfield or Fairfax!

Took 9 weeks for the dealer to give permission to fix the transmission which was under warranty. I can only guess how long it would have been if I had to pay but likely much faster.The quality of repairs was good. The communications during the extended delays requires significant improvement.

Terrible customer service. Every time I call (3-4x now), the receptionists are very short, unwelcoming, and less than helpful. The one time I did go there to have a vehicle serviced, I was not even greeted and was made to feel like I was more of an imposition than anything else. I’ll take my business elsewhere. Would rather drive all the way to Woodbridge for service. They have a happy staff who are willing to be friendly. :) Thank you Koons Hyundai of Woodbridge!!!

I had purposely picked this location over the Capital Heights in hopes of having better customer service. At first, I had a not so good experience with one of the service representatives, the man at the first desk to the left. He gave the impression that he didn’t want to help me...but luckily I was passed off to Gerald. And he turned my experience into a positive one. He was caring, attentive, and kind to me. Came in to look at a genesis gv80 fully intent on buying. Walked in showroom and luckily they had the gv80 inside. I checked it out for about 15 minutes. Opened doors, sat in every seat, opened hood. Nobody asked if i needed help. Nobody even looked my direction. Dressed in a nice preppy outfit, and and pulled up in a Range Rover. Guess they dont want to sell cars. Liked the car but not interested in the lack of care from the entire place. Nobody was busy. They were all at their desks, some on headphones. So I headed to BMW dealership where I received top notch treatment and started a purchase of an X5.

Phenomenal customer service! I had a horrible experience at a previous Hyundai dealership in Springfield, which led me to find this one. This was my first car purchase, and I appreciated the exceptional service I received at this dealership. Sam J went above and beyond to make sure that I had everything I needed - including helping me book a DMV appointment. I didnt have the pleasure of meeting Joon in person, but was efficient in delivering information over email prior to my visit. Kirk from finance took the time to ensure that I understood all of my options, and not only printed out a copy of all my paperwork but provided me with a digital copy on a flash drive. Alexandria Hyundai was the place to be to purchase our first family car (2021 Hyundai Palisade). We worked with Dan. We brought in my in-laws to take a look themselves, and Dan explained all the car details to them in Korean and were impressed with the car (and Dan). The whole process was smooth up until trying to purchase - it was a very busy day especially since it’s the end of the year. We had to wait 1.5hr but I was worth the wait. During the wait, Dan came into the car and helped us set up our phones and go through the settings, so we were set and could drive off.Not only did we have a good conversation about the car itself, but we also chatted about other non-vehicle related subjects to keep us company. Dan was friendly, respectable, and understanding.We would definitely recommend this dealership to our family/friends!

The 1st time I came for a vehicle I got the sales rep Eric Park. He has a short temper and terrible customer service. He was shown off as unprofessional and rude. His facial expressions were terrible. He seemed friendly at first but when you’re talking about the deal, he gets angry and impatient. If you know nothing about buying cars, instead of being patient with the process, he’ll get frustrated with you.

I took my car in on Thursday to get recalled parts installed and worked with Erick Lorton while I was there. He started my vehicle in front of me, and it worked, and then he said he would call me the next day (Friday) to pick up the vehicle. Friday came and went, and I didnt get a call from him. Saturday morning I get a call from the dealership, and Erick speaks to me over the phone saying that they tried to start my car but the engine wouldnt turn over and asked me some question about whether there was a special trick to get the car to start. This felt suspicious, because he had started the car right in front of me when we had our appointment on Thursday.Anyway, I said there wasnt, and they would have to try again, mentioning that he had started the car in front of me so I didnt know why it woundt work. He responded saying that if they werent able to get the car to work, they would have to hold it until Tuesday, since the shop would be closed on Monday. I asked him to keep me updated. I live close to the dealership so I tried to call again to ask if I should come in to try to start the car but despite calling 8 times at different points in the day, they never picked up.I went to the dealership on Sunday and saw that my car had been moved, and no one was there that was able to help me. I had a shift that day, and I asked if there was a loaner available and they emphatically refused the suggestion. They claimed they were not able to give me a loaner or any kind of assistance. I even asked if there was something they could advise me to do, maybe somewhere else I could go that would have loaners available, etc., and even this was met with a strange annoyance and condescension – Maybe rent a car? I dont know what to tell you.They said the car wouldnt be ready until ~possibly Tuesday.This has been one of the most frustrating experiences Ive ever had. I dont understand whats going on or why I wasnt updated. It also feels like they may have lied to me about the engine not working in order to mitigate the fact that they were backed up for Memorials Day weekend? Thats just speculation, however. Anyway, I wasnt able to attend my shift and I lost a lot of money as a result. I feel really powerless and this location has been the site of the worst and most incompetent dealer service Ive ever experienced. Unacceptable service. Just so bad.

I was dropping off and waiting for a simple oil change. Asked on the phone for the best time to come in, as I would be waiting around. They told me 1pm, and when I confirmed, they said 1130 would be faster, as people wont be on lunch I arrived arrived promptly at 1130. Waited for 10 minutes to be checked in while 5 people sat at their desks pretending to look busy. I was told 90 minutes max for the oil change. I didnt want to sit around with 5 other people inside the waiting room (Covid), so sat in a nice park nearby and came back after 2 hours because I hadnt received a phone call. I asked if the car was done, and they hadnt even started!! Didnt even have an excuse. I guess Ill go to jiffy lube.

I was advised by Sam Jung, who was knowledgeable, kind, respectful and accommodating, and never overbearing or pushy. I also briefly met the manager who showed confidence in his employees and respect towards my car and myself. It was like talking to a caring relative. I would encourage everyone to read the service reviews versus the dealership. I would avoid getting your car serviced here. The prices are higher than the other dealerships in the area. Also, the service department did not put the valve stem caps back on my tires so now I have to purchase four new ones. Please go look at the reviews for the other Hyundai service departments. They will all be better.

Long overdue review here...in 2020 I took my car to this dealership for a similar issue about five times within 8 months, through a lot of frustration and Geralds and Reinas help we made it through and fixed the issue. On the fourth time I had to take the car back I requested to go on a test drive with a worker in order for them to understand the issue with my vehicle when I drove it and Gerald accompanied me and noticed the issue and made sure that it got resolved. I would not have made it without his help and Reina help with calling Hyundai to make sure it was cover under my warranty!Thank you Gerald and Reina!

Their license plate holders say Nice people, Nice Prices And I have to say that has been my experience. While I dont love the location (Im dont like driving in urban environment and that parking lot is PACKED), Ive had great experiences with the salespeople (Dan Seo still seems to remember me a year and a half later and Sam) and Gerald from their service dept. Their pricing also beat everyone else in the area.

Takes advantage of persons who dont know enough about cars. Wife went in for a $50 oil change and a recall, dealership upcharged it to $160, didnt do the inspections they claimed to have done, and then said the battery conveniently died right there at the dealership, when it hadnt had a single issue before. Battery check was part of the $160 premium service which they said they did and it passed. But then at the end its dead? I dont think so. $250 for a new battery is what they wanted. This place is disgustingly unethical and highly recommend going elsewhere.

I called to schedule an appointment months ago to get my car serviced after Hyundai issued a recall. I was told to come in the next day and that they would be able to fix it. After taking off work to bring my car in, I arrived and the front desk told me that they didnt have the part they needed and they would call me when it arrived. I still cannot understand why they would have allowed me to schedule an appointment to get my car repaired if they knew they didnt have the part in stock! I have now been waiting over two months and still no call from Hyundai regarding the part needed for my recall service. Very disappointing customer service!

Bought a brand new Genesis GV80 the day it came on the lot. We worked with Dan, he is a helpful, outgoing salesperson who I would work with again. He is extremely quick with communication and we were in and out of the dealership under a couple of hours. All of the employees are so helpful and ensure you’re well taken care of from start to finish. The service department & their staff are not near as coordinated and proactive as they should be and their communication is terrible. So far, my experience with them to sort out an extended warranty claim to replace my blown engine, has been horrific as I have had to step in to micromanage the entire process to ensure the dealership is sending the warranty department the necessary paperwork on time. I sure hope I can change this review later upon a successful engine replacement in a timely manner. Fingers crossed the rest of this process gets better and ill report back, updating my review once its completed.

I post a 5 star review for an overall great experience buying a new 2021 Hyundai Kona from the dealership. It started from a great deal offered by them, and then the purchase process was streamlined and transparent. No hidden price and it only took me less than an hour to finish paperwork. Very friendly staff and a great place to go for a car. Every employee I met was remarkably amiable. I came here to purchase a used Mazda and Luis, who is extremely nice and helpful (and Id definitely recommend talking to him if youre in the market for a car), made the whole experience relaxed and easy. In addition, the car I purchased had a damaged tire when it was traded in, so they replaced both that tire and the adjacent one for free, which was fantastic. They also offered a loaner car for me to use while I waited for the tires to be installed, which was a very nice touch. Id definitely recommend coming here.

The manager Gerald called me immediately after seeing my experience with a sub-par visit. He went above and beyond to rectify the matter! I was astounded at his care and attentiveness! The worst place I have ever gone to for a service. Went for a 60k mile service. They returned the vehicle WORSE then given to them. Literally only went for changing of fluids and the car didnt even make it home. And its a 2017... come on... things were taken off of my vehicle when returned the first time...

If you’re going to get a Hyundai car from Northern Virginia, I recommend this branch. I contacted nearly every dealership in the area because I was in the market for a car and wanted a CUV at a decent price.I bought a NEW Kona limited from them in December, after they reached out to me (I was checking prices). Not only did I get the car I wanted at the trim I wanted, I also got a great price.Service was excellent. Very pleasant people. I recently got my first oil changed here as well (free), and I probably will spend the money to do regular maintenance program with them here because they have been so pleasant.

The service Department is nice and friendly but the customer service and diligence of their work staff is horrible, if you want to spend your whole day waiting for simple repairs, be my guest. Seems like buying new cars isn’t the problem but getting your car serviced is!

This dealer refused to service a Kia despite allowing service to be scheduled for any vehicle type online. Kia and Hyundai are under the same parent brand. Simple oil change is too hard for this location. This is the first time Ive ever been turned away for service. Poor customer service.

UPDATE: I have no purchased two cars from Alexandria Hyundai; a 17 Hyundai Elantra Sport in April 2017 and a 19 Hyundai Veloster N in May 2019. Both times, I would rate the buying experience a solid 5 stars. The buying experience was fair, the numbers were good and the staff were all very helpful. In 2017, I bought the Elantra Sport from Ray Jacobs and in 2019, I bought the Veloster N from Chris Ganbold. Although everyone needs to shop around when buying a car; I definitely recommend that Alexandria Hyundai is one of the dealerships that you check out. They have WOWd me twice now (and yes, I stole that from Koons).

I did not know what to expect as this was my first time getting a new lease on my own, but I had an amazing experience working with Charles Nguyen! He really listened to what I was looking for and was very keen on making sure I got exactly what I wanted. They actually didnt have the car/color combo I asked for in their lot, but he and his manager went above and beyond to find it elsewhere for me. I had to get my oil changed, and they had someone come out, pick up my car, they did the service, called me with updates, paid over the phone, and dropped my car back off. They were extremely clean and helpful and it was so convenient and the gentleman that came to pick up/drop off my car was so nice and friendly. Usually, waiting to get your oil changed and figuring out rides at the dealership takes forever but they made it so easy. The valet is such a nice touch.

This was the easiest transaction ever. I drove a Kona AWD locally, but that dealership played the usual games on pricing. I called sales manager Jae at Alexandria Hyundai on a Sunday afternoon, and he instantly gave me a really fair quote on an in-stock Kona. He texted me the specific numbers, and turned me over to salesman Dan Heo. Dan contacted me later that day to arrange delivery of the vehicle on Monday afternoon. He arrived at my door with a shiny Kona and with paperwork ready to sign. The whole process took 28 hours, and none of that was spent haggling. I cant recommend the experience enough, especially if you know what you want and are ready to buy.

My car had a very difficult part or parts to be fixed. It required me to go several times because every time they attempted, they discovered that another part was needed. To make a long story short, it doesnt matter how many times I was asked to go back because I know that I was being taken care of. After several times, Hyundai may an exception and I did not have to pay for any of those extra trips; they didnt charged me an extra penny until it was totally fixed. You see, I could have gone to Springfield, it is a modern facility, brand-place, closer to my home, but I know these guys. They strive for EXCELLENCE.
