Met these folks for an emergency car repair. Brandon was exceptional. He made an overwhelming situation easy to understand. He and Leo spoke to me not at me. They explained everything and I felt confident that when I drove out of the shop I would be safe in my well loved Ford with 200k+ miles. I share my experience had great service from AAMCO Transmission auto shop on 01/ 2020 S picket Alexandria Those guys were great. start from the guy answer the phone to the ** Leo ** the technician They were professional and most of all they were trustworthy. I will tell my friends and relatives to get all of their car work done at ** AAMCO. in Alexandria VA If you are quoted a price for the work on your car you can be sure it is right. You wont get cheated.trust my word. and thanks for to the owner for his good customer service too !!!

Last year when my transmission died, I had my car towed here, and I’m so glad I did. I almost never write reviews, but I set up a profile so that I could say nice things about them. They rebuilt my transmission in under a week, charged me less than I expected, and were friendly and helpful to a fault. Brandon kept me informed and even gave me a ride to the rental car place. I went back this week because my car was making a noise, and it turned out to be the engine mount. Again, great, fast service, kind people, fair prices. I’m so glad to have a mechanic shop I can trust.

I brought in my focus because the transmission had overheated. They first checked to make sure there were no recalls on my vehicle because they didnt want to charge me if it was something I could get fixed for free. Super nice of them, although there wasnt one. They checked my car twice for problems. They called and emailed me so that I was kept up to date on everything. They didnt find an issue and recommended a dealer look at the computer (which is an issue according to recent news on focuses), but because they found no issues, they did not charge me! Wow! Not even for the inspection! Great service! If I ever have transmission issues in the future, Im totally using them again!!

I am very happy with Aamco! They are very professional and efficient. Finding a new car shop can be a little tricky because as a young female some shop might try to take advantage of you but I never felt like I was being taken advantage of here. Front desk Mr. Dominique is awesome he goes above and beyond! He took his time to explaining to me what was wrong with my vehicle, he even showed me a video clip off YouTube so I could see and get a clearer understanding to what’s going on with my vehicle. I REALLY TRULY APPRECIATED THAT! I will continue to service my car here! The owner MR. K(I’m not sure how to spell his name correctly) He has a awesome team! Thanks for everything guys👍🏾🤗

NOT HONEST PEOPLE WHAT SO EVER! It’s hard to believe a business like this can survive. I brought my older 4x4 in for service because the transmission was slipping and losing fluid. After they inspected my vehicle I was deceptively told that I needed an entirely new transmission which would cost $1400 to $1600. Upon hearing the news I told them that it was not worth the expense and that I would like to leave and not have my vehicle serviced. Immediately the service rep started humming-and-hawing and changed his tune and told me that actually the transmission was perfectly fine and that a fluid line had simply come lose and that they had already fixed it. The final cost for service was $48. Here is a perfect example of a business taking advantage of its costumers!!! I’d give them a zero star rating if that was an option.

Felt grinding on front wheel. Turned out the hub bearing was failing and pushing the brake pad against the rotor. The Tech showed me the failing hub (pretty obvious when on the lift) and replace the hub, damaged rotor and both front brake pads quickly and for a fair price. I highly recommend the shop.Ive seen some bad reviews. I would just add that this location has a new owner as of February 2019. The new guys were quick, explained everything, and took time to show me what was wrong. I will be returning with my other car soon. I think I finally found a mechanic I can trust.

One of the worst services Ive ever had. Will never recommend anyone to go there. Went to get my transmission fix. They broke my drive train and broke the transmission they were going to fix. Never call me on any issues regarding the car, I had to call them to find out what was going on. Kept the car over 1 month then returned my car with a dead battery and a broken AC and neither were problems before I took the car in.

At first I was hesitant to call b/c of the reviews online but I quickly realized that this place is truly under new mgmt and those reviews really dont reflect the quality of service that I received. Not only was Brandon VERY good at calling several times to update me on the status of the car and eta of completion - they even sent a car to pick me up to retrieve my car as I would have had to Uber over. Who does that??!! Very clean, polite and professional. Im VERY glad I took my Thunderbird over and had them do the service work on it. Pricing was also excellent. Im one very happy client! Thank you guys!!

Was able to quickly take my car and look at it. Tried to say I needed new brakes and roters for $480. Took my car to two other places just to make sure and they said there was nothing wrong with my brakes.

Customer service was good, however they have a sign stating they will install your battery with a purchase of one. I was given tools to do it myself.

Checked my engine light problem for free with coupon and gave me the code of the problem so i could get it done somewhere else (they dont do evap system there) and didnt try to push anything else on me. 👍👍👍👍There is also a playgroud nearby (6min walk) that I took my son to while we waited. And the guy did the service faster than he said it would take because he didnt want me and my son out in the heat. 👌👌👌😊 thank you!

I had an 8:30am appointment for a Vehicle Diagnostic Chip problem. I had to ask them for the car back at 1:00pm as they still were a) not able to tell me what was wrong with the car, and b) how much longer it was going to take. They wouldnt even give me an estimate, Just kept repeating over and over we want to make sure everything is ok with your car before we return it.I dont think they have the necessary machines to do a check on new vehicles with diagnostic chips. The purpose of the chips is to give the mechanic an immediate reading on whats wrong with the car.

Good fast service

I took my truck to get worked on a transmission to pricey paid 5k plus had to bring it back again to get worked on did not do a great job i had to take it to another transmission place and costed me 1300 extra poor job over all. Just ask around for a price before getting your car fixed there.
