A bit of a mixed review. New to the area and trying to compare some of the international markets. They had a pretty decent selection and prices are ok. As some others have mentioned, cleanliness is a little lacking. One concern I had was I came across a number of items that were past expiration/best by dates. Now none of them were anything Id be severely concerned about (like packaged instant noodles and dry goods), but they were 3+ months over their marked dates and it would make me wonder if there are other items across the store being missed.As I have other markets closer, I probably wouldnt go out of my way to shop here regularly.

Great supermarket for Hispanic and Asian food. The produce is very good quality at a good price. Lots of hard to find spices and ingredients for various cuisines. It include a good selection of frozen products as well. If you are looking to make a Hispanic or Asia dish you will find everything here.

Bad experience for me in New Grand Alexandria Market Place.I bought 3 packs of cod fish from New Grand Alexandria supermarket and here what I found inside the cod fish plenty of parasites! I went back to return it and explain to them about what I found in their products, but they refused to return it and saying it has been passed 7 days. I’m so disappointed against them and the FDA who approved this people to sale these kind of food without checking them and destroying people’s lives! This company needs to be sued over issues like this included the FDA because is not faire to anybody who buys food in this market!!! Please check out the photos that I posted

Frozen goods are freezer burned, boxes warped with water damage.. frozen stuff is damaged and dated. They dont rotate food for freshness in freezer.

Security inside and round this market is not safe. Today I visited this facility and saw a shirtless man inside the store, asking the customers to give him some money. There was no one in the store to stop him till the store manager came and give him a worn shirt and guided him outside. The guy stood in front of the store door and kept bothering people, specifically the women. Till I left the place, this guy was walking around the store door, while another person was waking around the cars parked in front of the store and asking for money. Overall, this place is not safe!

Clean fresh veggies and fruits. Go to for groceries since 2014 even when the management and name was different. Can’t beat the price for it being in the heart of Alexandria just next to the I-95 ramp.

I love their vegetables its fresh, but the Ivory teff is not a 100% teff it has corn 50% & something. And the cashier provide poor customer service.

One of the better, larger, and cleaner Asian grocery stores in the Burke/Springfield area, occupying the former Giant Food space. The selection of Asian vegetables and fruits are plentiful and reasonably priced. Customer service is also better than average, and parking is plentiful. The bonus is theres always a great selection of orchids by the exit if one should ever feel like getting an inexpensive orchid plant for oneself or as a gift!

Nicely managed and spacious,a great place for fresh vegetables and fruits at reasonable rate and good quality, sea food and meat is also available but since I am vegetarian cant comment try for your own!!👍👍

Love this particular new grand mart location, lots of fresh fruits and vegetables you wont find in most regular grocery stores. They also tend to have delicious mexican ice cream bars!

Love this grocery store - it’s a little tight, but it has the best produce out of any grocery store. The aisle are always stacked - and they have an array of products from different culture. The staff are always very friendly and helpful. Especially bringing a baby there, every time someone asks me if I need help bringing everything to my car. The seafood section is fresh with live lobster and crabs. The meat section has basically anything you can ask for and more!

I was shopping at the fish section yesterday morning, there was heavy 😫 😩 😅 😪 delayed 😑 😒 the guy wasted lot of time watching of ice,not. Sure if am coming back there to get fish .am out.

This is our local Asian super and it is a good spot. The selection is smaller than more comprehensive stores in the area. Their strength is their fish and their produce.

Favorite store for all my international cuisine ingredients.

I love this place it has all the stuff I need. A mixture between Asian and Latino food. Very good if you need fish and other types of meat. They have egouana and RABIT... I recommend this place for getting fresh vegetables as well.

You can find just about any groceries you may need. Friendly staff, fast and easy checkout. The only inconvenience is that there is no self checkout which would be great if they had.

I have never been more embarrassed then today there was 10 minutes to close and and they already look doors then i ask to guys that work ther if I just can go inside and get two sparkling red grape that are in front of the cashier and they said yes when i get inside the Chinese guy just scream we close and made sign with his hands that i have to go out and I ask him if I can just buy it i wasnt going around the store it was infront of the cashier and he made me go out and pregnan and all people look at me and I was really embarrassed because the other guy let me in and he just scream in front of everyone and it was really really embarrassing but I hope he had a great Thanksgiving 👍

Crowded and the aisles arent very well maintained. Products are mashed up but they have alot of different brands.

Perfect when ethnic food ingredients are needed! This time it was Chinese dumplings ingredients!

I will not say that the store is bad, but the choice of goods is not great, especially fruits.

It has become a little expensive since change of ownership but still comparatively cheap. It still has fresh produce and variety of products that usually not found in bigger brand grocery stores. I like it.

Good prices. Fresh meat, fruits, and vegetables. Meat department staff very accommodating by trimming and cutting roast for customers. Very few other groceries store will do this.

This supermarket carries great variety to service the African, Latin, and Asian markets. Great prices on vegetables and fruits with a lot of hard to find items. The store has a strong fish smell when you enter but there are pools of fresh and live fish in the seafood area. Be careful with parking and abide by the signage as a tow truck was surveilling the premises.

They have an amazing fish selection, however theres a language barrier when telling them how you want them cleaned & cut. Its almost never right.

Very convenient grocery store; It is not only Asian, it is more of an international grocery supermarket. This store offers food and grocery from latin America, the Middle East, Far East, local and tropical fruits. The presentation is very good, prices are better than big famous grocery chains and the products are usually better. The also sell fresh sea food here. Their cashiers are fast and efficient, there are many of them, you do not wait for long.

This has everything I need in one place! Great selection of seafood and fruits and vegetables!My kids love shopping here with me because they can always find a snack that they love. So many great options that are hard to find in other places. This is our go to for groceries.

I love groceries! This is not your average Safeway or Giant. Has specialty items from every continent. Fresh produce from Asia, fresh seafood, as well as frozen foods. Its kind of a dump inside but sometimes the best places are.

Lots veggies, fish, crabs, meat, good prices, must wear masks and they give everyone gloves at the entrance.

Fish could be fresher. And smaller choices of fresh fish. The navel oranges are the best in town. 5 for $2.00 is a steal.

There is a wide selection for everything you need and the prices are awesome! I go there on Sunday afternoons and stock up for my week ahead. It is well organized and everything has its place.try it, you will not regret it.

Good store but prices going up lately

I was looking for nongshim noodles and this was the only place that had them. The best I have seen for Asian food

THIS IS NOT AN ASIAN MARKET. Majority of the products are hispanic.Most of the workers are Hispanic. The Asian isles, which arent many are lacking even the most basic Asian foods, especially Japanese. They should change it to International Market, that way no one looking for a True ASIAN market will be disappointed when they visit. Lets try some truth in advertising & stop wasting peoples valuable time.

One of our favorite international markets. They have Chinese, Turkish, Indian, Peruvian, Mexican and misc food items and ingredients from different parts of the world. You cannot take the cart to the parking lot, prepare to carry your bags at least 10-20 yards. Aisles can be tight to navigate with a cart. But Id rather have more product options than the extra comfort that other big supermarkets provide. Being right next to the highway exit also makes it more accessible.

Today they told me not to Pass carts or help people with their bags to their cars because I didn’t work there. Customers that I’ve been helping for the last month wonders why they won’t hire me. I have great customer service skills but still get denied a job there. 🤔🤦🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️

Good place to get fresh and inexpensive produce as well as some rаre stuff. I visited this store 18 of Dec 2017. I drove 40 minutes all the way from H mart, Manassas, because I couldnt find what I was looking for. Well, I found it: stew sets of salmon heads and bellies. I recommend it to sophisticated foodies.Produce was very fresh. The greens were very green. Even though there is a bit of a clutter on the floor, the final result is what really matters. By the way, this is the store where my wife dropped her wallet with all her credit cards and other stuff a couple of years ago. The store manager made sure that we got it back. Great job!

International foods well represented,reasonable prices except stuff like dishes. Fresh produce and meats are well presented. Sample stations, fish cleaned to your specifications, and good sales are worth it. Im not crazy about how the store smells, but Parking is great.

Store is old edifice and small however it is well stocked with fresh seafood and meats and produce. Prices are inline or better with the nearby international stores. My main purpose for shopping this store is produce and seafood. I do purchase some of the international items and will continue shopping this store. I come from Md so you can see i value this store.

My favorite supermarket for fresh and cheap produce! They have almost everything and for very affordable prices. The staff are very nice and eager to help you find whatever you need, so feel free to ask them if you have any questions. Next to the produce is an array of cheap trail mix, too.

I always come here to buy my limes. They are the cheapest here and are a good bargain. This store sells many fresh goods that you will not find at any regular grocery store. Much of their inventory is imported from different countries. The only issue I have had are the extremely long lines. They move pretty fast though so patience is a virtue at checkout!

Who needs an american market? This place has absolutely everything that anyone could ever want especially if they eat more than burgers and chicken every week. We found things that I have never seen in one of our typical every day grocery stores. Everyone should pay this place a visit, it should change how you view cooking and cuisine.

This a medium sized supermarket that is packed full of various types of foods. It, in my opinion, needs an upgraded ventilation system. There is a wide selection of seafood, fresh on ice, but it has a strong smell. If you need land or rabbit, beef tounge and other meats, its here. As you exit there is a plethora of rice(s?). Worth the trip and a revisir.
