This shop has quilt fabric and some unique options (international variety) but it also has a huge selection of crafty mixed media art supplies. Just like the shop name says- artistic artifacts! Fabric is sold in 1/2 yard minimum cuts. They ship fabric too and are responsive when you ask questions about stock or shipping.If you’re able to visit in person you can see so much cool stuff they have in the shop. Pretty ribbons. Lots of mixed media supplies. A good thread selection. And they’re a Bernina dealer and offer machine servicing, plus classes. They also have a selection of notions, books and other interesting things. (They also had Girl Scout cookies for sale which was a bonus.) If you can’t visit in person, the owner has some walk-through videos posted on her website and Facebook. Definitely a fun shop to check out.I took a fabric dyeing workshop here as well. Its my favorite place to play. I found my tribe of creatives here. We share, encourage challenge and root for one other. Judy carries lots of really cool ephemera in addition to the fabric. Batik Timbal is awesome. Fun mixed media shop well worth visiting.

Great customer service from this local shop - highly recommend! I recently was looking to upgrade my sewing machine and emailed Artistic Artifacts. Judy got back to me immediately and we subsequently chatted on the phone. She was extremely helpful and patient and explained the different features of the machines I was considering. What struck me the most was how she did not try to push a pricier machine on me, she was just informative, helpful, and objective. This, along with a great price, was a deciding factor in choosing to buy a machine here. I had experienced a pushier salesperson the day prior at another dealer who was trying hard to get me to buy a machine out of my clearly stated price range. When I picked-up my machine they didnt have a couple of presser feet I was looking for and Judy ordered them and still honored the discount you get at the point of sale for a new machine. I have been so pleased with the service and professionalism here and am even happier knowing Im supporting a local shop. They also carry an impressive selection of Bernina accessories and a wide array of quilting fabrics and notions. Very impressive shop all around!

Specialty shop for quilting and embroidery and textile crafts. Very nice and helpful staff. Also a dealer of machines for the purposes: sewing, sergers, embroidery. Books and patterns and some finished crafts too. Large classroom area in the back to learn the crafts. Its a hidden gem.

Artistic Artifacts is my happy place! A wonderful selection of new and vintage products for the fiber and mixed media artist. The owner, Judy Gula, has created a welcoming community of creative folks who frequent the shop and are always good for inspiration.

Nice selection of fabrics, ribbons, specialty threads, a good understanding of Berninas, very helpful staff! Focused on art quilting with some paper crafting thrown in, but nice fabrics for more traditional quilters, too!

I would have given them zero stars if allowed. I am trying to support smallMom and pop stores - I stopped by artistic artifacts on Eisenhower today to see if they have black cotton fabric for face masks for some LEOs and I was met with the rudest employee I have encountered during this time. They are closed for walk in but you can place ordered on line or via phone - so I was calling to see if they had the fabric and let me just say I will not be going back. The Young lady came to the door in the most condescending attitude I have ever experienced. If you dont want any business close down completely but dont address would be customers with attitude!

Even though I dont live locally they are happy to ship and do so quickly. Love their selection of all kinds of art and fabric supplies!

This is heaven for art quilters, those interested in surface design and mixed media fans. I was able to stop here on my way to the Outer Banks and the staff was super friendly. I wanted to buy the whole store! My only regret is that I live too far away to take advantage of the many class offerrings.

Beautiful, art supplies and curated handmade items. Fabrics, threads for machine and hand sewing including the Wonderfil line and Tentakulum, Bernina products. Paints, embellishments, stencils, pretty much anything you would want to create your own piece or make something truly your own. Friendly experienced folks to consult, no rush or push, classes featuring amazing local and nationally known artists, easy access from 495 and metro, and free parking. Whats not to like. Active website, facebook and other social media.

This is a very special fabric store. Specialty batiks and fabric from ethnic artists. I wouldnt consider this shop for traditional quilters. Its very well suited to a nontraditional pattern artist.The staff was very friendly and described where certain fabrics are from. The smallest quantity you can purchase is a 1/2 yard cut. Average price is $12 per yard.

You can find fabric, thread, needles, patterns and sewing notions. There are dyed yarns, resin supplies, stamps, stamp pads, embellishments, foils, gelatos, embossing powders, stencils, markers, fabric dyes and more. Theres always something new and exciting to find here... Its a destination guaranteed to get your makers imagination churning! I love this place. Youll find the staff very friendly and knowledgeable.
