First time in Albuquerque and also visiting this great place. The service was fast and efficient. You get there and order your food, a very good menu to order from. They give a number for your table and then they bring the food to you. I ordered the All American breakfast and their Ice Caramel Latte with oatmilk. 5/5 definitely recommend!
Excellent place, food is A++, inside is clean and is covid safe certified. Awesome indoor and outdoor seating. Clean. Kitchen is very quick, excellent options and is friendly to food restrictions. Cost is $$$ but in line with other restaurants of similar quality. Highly highly recommended. Would give more that five stars if it were possibly.
Stopped into this place on a honeymoon road trip my husband and I are having. Great locations! Slightly confusing ordering process; you order your food first THEN find a table; but it doesn’t have the most space inside or outside so be mindful of that. Customer service was great! They have a good process of trying to make sure everything runs as quickly as possible. It took at least 30 minutes to an hour to get our food. We went on a Saturday btw. When the pancakes aren’t slightly over cooked, they’re really good. A few people on here complained about the bacon, but I disagree. I was good to be 🤷🏽♀️. My husband got hash browns and he said they we cooked on the outside but under in the inside. Overall thinks it’s a great experience. Worth a try. Oh, forgot to say they are very reasonably priced! Think we spent $30 for the both of us.
Seriously the BEST food! I havent been back to ABQ since I moved 25 years ago and I would almost fly back just to eat here! My 20 yr old daughter truly got the authentic New Mexican food experience here today. All of our moans and sighs would have most definitely caused quite the looks if the other customers didn’t completely understand themselves. We are perfectly miserable from all but licking our plates. I might need to upgrade to a bigger seat on my flight out tomorrow…
This place is AMAZING. My mother (who lived here for five years) and I came out to Albuquerque to visit family. She hadn’t been here in 25 years, and I had never been out west. We were recommended this place by a local; and let me tell you.. it did NOT disappoint!! My mother and I were sighing in perfect harmony and all but licking our plates by the end of the meal. This restaurant is a MUST STOP. The people are incredible and the food beyond words.
A bit overated in the reviews, but the food was decent and the service really set it apart. We had the All American breakfast, the ABQ Sandwich with fries, and the waffle dogs. The meat on the sandwich was tender but a little bland; the waffle dogs seemed like they were previously frozen. The breakfast plate was good.
Before I go to bed each night I try to write down my daily goals for the day ahead. On this particular day I had one goal to complete. It was to try Huevos Rancheros on my last day visiting New Mexico. I know that doesnt sound like a lot, but for me it is important to finish my goals rather than write a bunch down and not be able to complete all of them. Sometimes my only daily goal is to remember to write my daily goals for the next day. Anyways, Im proud to say that I was able to finish my one goal on this particular day. I tried Huevos Rancheros from Central Grill and Coffee House. It tasted delicious, the only downside was that there were three long hairs in it. They were able to make this dish look so appetizing that I was almost unfazed by the hair in my meal.
Service is awesome, the owner is super nice and always making sure your having a good experience, I came today during rush hour and my food was very mediocre, didnt taste bad but wasnt as good as previous visits. I ordered chilaquiles that came with almost no sauce on them and beans were very dry. My mango smoothie was made twice because first one didnt taste like anything (owner refund me and provided me with a new one). I would recomend this place, just dont come between 11:30-12:30.
They have a great breakfast! I wanted chicken and waffles but I slept in to late and they were out of waffles. It was a good thing because I tried something new for me. I dont normally like pork related items, but I went out of my comfort zone and got their shredded pork that had been marinated in red chili sauce. Man that was good! I put in on my eggs and potatoes. They gave me a complimentary pancake that was made with bree and blueberries. It was so good that my fiancee ate most of it to himself. 😆 🤣 😂Needless to say that when I come back to Old Town Albuquerque, NM I will be coming back here for breakfast for sure!
5 stars for owner to refund on the spot for customers meal for giving him the wrong sauce and forgetting to put potatoes. Blueberry pancake was fluffy and blueberries were amazing. Order as many or few you want. Due to lack of workers, food may come out 20 to 30 min. Everything looked yummy. So much to choose from.
I really enjoyed breakfast here and definitely recommend bananas French toast. The coffee was pretty decent and the staff were friendly. I think the one thing that didnt really do it for me was the seating arrangement. You order and then go find your own table, but if youre there at breakfast rush its just a stressful gamble for seating.
Has become our new favorite place for breakfast or lunch. The blue corn pancakes are my new obsession. Have yet to have a bad meal or experience. Tons of menu options. Super friendly staff. Lots of space and super clean. Great for families with kids and dog friendly!
I stumbled across the Central Grill within the first few days of arriving in Albuquerque. If youre looking for good food both in quality and quantity, you wont be disappointed. Prices are fair and there is a fast food/diner atmosphere. The staff is friendly and accommodating. Yes, that is real maple syrup on the table and green chile is readily available. Albuquerque is a big city and there are many breakfast/lunch options but you cant go wrong with Central Grill.
This is a nice place to grab brunch in old town the owner is always there and is super nice, he greeted us and let us know about the specials and that everything on the menu is made all day. The rios cristos was tasty I had a side of hash brown but they were abit on the under cooked side crispy on the outside but a but soft o. The inside overall great place to grub. They also have outdoor seating. Dog friendly patio and Drive thru
Amazing breakfast and pancakes. The employees were the friendliest nicest people Ive ever encountered.
Great food and service with the owner involved in the operations and giving personal attention. I really respect how this business is operated. They catered our wedding at the Old Town Reception Hall next door and everyone loved the food. They make their own chile.
Used the drive through around 8:30 for some breakfast. The dude behind the microphone came off rude and I ordered nothing because of that. My buddy ordered a chicken fried steak anyhow and he said it was great. We did not mind the wait and when we came face to face with the guy running the drive through he was polite. Wished hed not been rude at first. Seems like a good place to eat.
This place is delicious! The staff was very friendly! The atmosphere was comfortable and very clean. The manager was super nice and came to ensure our food was up to par. I will recommend this place to anyone in the city. It is worth the drive, you will not be disappointed. I am so glad I stopped in, I will definitely be back! Thank you for a great experience and for the great food!
Great food! Order came out quickly too
I stopped here on my way out of town. Only reason I chose to eat here was its close proximity to hotel I stayed at. I definitely would visit again based on customer service alone. The mocha I ordered was delicious and without doubt distinctively different from my usual mocha from Starbucks. French toast on the other hand werent what expected. They were subpar to average to other french toasts Ive had before. Not a huge deal. Ill just order something else next time I visit.
Friendly staff, delicious food. Recommend eggs Benedict and turkey avocado sandwich. We sat outside so the heat lamps were appreciated.
Great place to eat. George the owner is there working his restaurant greeting people and taking care of his patrons with a smile. I give him Much respect.
Our FAVORITE breakfast/brunch spot!OH! And their pancakes are to die for.**If you want to try their Award Winning Pancakes...just ask for one with your meal...theyll give you one!** Really Good Mexican Food Too!
Fantastic food. Exceptional service. Absolutely wonderful experience here. Small local business just on the edge of old town, easy access to start your morning before shopping or take a lunch break. The service here is just outstanding. Super friendly to start, and they went out of their way. They ran out of skim milk for a latte, and instead of telling us “too bad”, they asked us if we didn’t mind waiting, they would go to the store and buy some. The latte was great too. The food was delicious- their pancakes really are the best in town. You must try them! The specials are also fantastic and all the food is cooked to perfection. They do offer a pretty wide variety of food, both breakfast and lunch items. At the end of our meal the owner even stopped by to ask how everything was. Very nice gentleman, it’s obvious he truly cares about his business and people’s experience there. HIGHLY recommend eating here!!!
Enjoyed the Central very much.Food was great and excellent prices.Staff very friendly and caring.
Surprising find while driving through New Mexico. They handled our custom orders with ease and the food was absolutely delicious!!! Wish we had a place like this near us in CT 😀😋
Very authentic homemade food! Food is always so good and fresh. I wish they would open until a little later. If you are around or visiting Albuquerque, I highly recommend to try this place! They do have drive thru line however I have never gotten someone to help. Parking is always available during breakfast and lunch!
Animal friendly! Brought my dogs water. Great service. Recommend you visit.
A really good establishment. First off, they are known for their blue berry pancakes. I had some and they are pretty dang good. The New Mexican food is really good. I really like the Chile relleno I had. It was nice and crunchy on the out side and the cheese was melted on the inside. The staff are really friendly and the place is clean. The inside is a small dining room, but they have a large covered outdoor dining area, plus the a drive through. Would go again.
Great service, great food. The outdoor patio area is fantastic, I can see they have it fully setup for winter / summer heat. This place is great!
The food is delicious. Close to places to see. We love that its open at 7 am for breakfast so we can get going with our vacation day.
We picked this place to cater our wedding. Let me tell you, this place went above and beyond for our wedding night. George was great to work with and all his employees that served the food were phenomenal. We decided to go with the New Mexico dinner and the food wad delicious. Very flavorful and the chile had a great kick. George and his staff set out chips, salsa, guac and taquitos as guest first sat in the reception hall. His staffed served the food, they even picked up the dirty plates. They even provided the fancy plastic plates for the main entree and for the wedding cake. The staff also cut the wedding cake and served it!
A very nice place... When the locals eat somewhere, you know its good. I had the American Breakfast with chorizo (ironic)... I havent found too many places that offer chorizo as a standalone breakfast meat... They make it themselves and its awesome! Everything else the family had was good, too!
MERCY! Cant stop, wont stop-- eating here. BLT and onion rings with some home made chips?? Yes, please! Worth every minute of the wait. I promise.
Probably the best pancakes in town! Everything on the menu is delicious, though, with the right balance between comfort food and excellent flavors. Its a great spot for a generously portioned breakfast, lunch, or just coffee. The staff is also efficient and friendly. Put Central Grill and Coffee House on your list of fine locally owned restaurants to support!
Food was descent, gotta point out that while I was there I watched all the new customers that came in had to bus there own tables after ordering there food and going to the dining area to find theres no available seats unless you clean the previous patrons mess.
Best breakfast ever! Everything was absolutely delicious. My kids cleaned their plate. Service was incredible too. If you have a chance to eat breakfast or lunch in Albuquerque go to Central Grill!
I had the huevos rancheros and it was just ok. I prefer a corn tortilla on the bottom so it wont be soggy. My spouse had the sunrise sandwich and enjoyed it.
The food is great, the servi e good, if youve never been might be a bit to navigate how its done, sit inside, to many 🪰 on outdoor seating.
Great coffee, always busy.....you guys do really well, you need to get better bacon, completely fatty bacon I paid for, I left it on the plate.
Best breakfast in Albuquerque, especially the pancakes, first time I ordered them here. I saw them last visit and ordered them on this visit, Great! Service is pretty quick considering the crowd. Have been here 3 times and always enjoyed. Very reasonable prices.
We are from out of town and had breakfast here. One of the best places I’ve had breakfast; between the friendly staff and food I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! They really know how to make you feel welcome!
Great food, but bacon very cheap and fatty ! Why is it most restaurants can’t get better bacon, charge more, so we’ve can enjoy crispy bacon, a little fat and some Meat, just nasty cheap all fat bacon makes you wanna stop going to this place !
Amazing spot to have a delicious and fresh meal! First time here and everything was great! Staff was super friendly and wait times were not long (even with 8 people in line before me). Blueberry pancakes are yummy, biscuits are super moist and buttery, and the cinnamon roll was amazing. The owner, George walked around and greeted everyone, pitched in by getting people water, food and even checked people out. He also gave me free red/green chili for me to try! Definitely worth the visit
Great breakfast spot, close to Old Town! Have breakfast then enjoy a stroll.
Great service from friendly staff in a nice location. Best Cuban sandwich Ive ever had (The Cubano). Will definitely be back next time Im passing thru!!
Absolutely delicious. The red and green chile is amazing. The pancakes are superb. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. Great OJ too. Huge burrito. We will be back. Very affordable. And the owner was so friendly and kind to us too! He gave us samples and treated us with a warm welcome.
When you want a good coffee, but youre also hungry. . THIS IS THE PLACE!!! I wanted a coffee and hubby wanted enchiladas, we found this place and decided to try it. So glad we did!! The patio is spacious and has good circulation, such a laid back feel. We will definitely be back!!
This spot is amazing! Finger lickin good I tell ya. We had the southern biscuits and gravy for the kids and they devoured their meal. I had the green Chile breakfast tacos and couldn’t have been happier with my choice. Hands down best breakfast tacos I’ve ever had. The staff is so kind and attentive. Everything was clean, sanitized and spacious. Will most definitely be back.
My daughter chose this place for lunch/ breakfast. Its been the Central Grill for going on 4 years. Its has a nice atmosphere about it. You may dine inside or you may choose to dine outside in a nice covered patio. Its enclosed, but I noticed they are able to roll up the shades. They offer a wide variety of sandwiches and other favorites. I had the Philly and cheese. It was delicious! My daughters choose the pork chop and eggs topped with green Chili and the build a burger. They do offer a child menu and specials of the day. We met the owner, George Griego. He was friendly and shared a few jokes lol. The employees are friendly the place is clean. The food is great! Pay them a visit !
This is by far the best breakfast ever ! The owner and staff very courteous. The pancakes are to die for . We recommend to everyone. So nice to find a wonderful place to enjoy... Spread the word 😊
Love the food here. Good customer service aswell.
You walk up and order.. and they take your order to your table.. refill your own drinks.. had the eggs Benedict with fruit.. it was delicious
I love their menu. Good choices. A place to eat if you are in the area.
We came on a Sunday mid morning, and it was busy! We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table, but luckily one opened up. The service was good and the food was delicious. We got our food real quick despite it being super busy. I wish I had known before that you order in the front counter first then you find your own place to sit. You have to get your own coffee too, which is fine. I just wish someone had mentioned that.
Best breakfast in Albuquerque! The Sunrise Sandwich is absolutely amazing. But it’s their carne adovada that will change your life ✨✨✨
I used to live close to this restaurant but moved to other side of town and really miss it! I go here whenever i can and it never disappoints! The bacon is thick, the biscuit is so warm and the coffee is GREAT! man just never anything bad to say! I always take my friends and family here when they visit and they love it! My dad is a very picking coffee drinker and he LOVES their coffee! Highly recommend!
This is our official tops breakfast place in Albuquerque to date. The pancakes ... best ever! We split a Chicken fried breakfast with eggs and papitos. Got the blueberry pancakes for free being first timers AND George the owner brought us a sample of the carne adovado and tortillas. Definitely coming back as this was the most tender, juicy and flavorful carne adovado we’ve had yet. Extra bonus - they cater!!!
Best chilaquiles I have ever had! Pancakes are the bomb too! Highly recommend a stop by here for a meal!
Fantastic breakfast, we got there just in time to beat the Saturday morning rush. They offer a delicious twist on pancakes and a wide range of Southwest offerings. Attentive staff will give full, courteous attention to your order. Dining room is spacious and unhurried with an outdoor seating option.
We come here usually every Saturday to have a kid free breakfast date. The owner is wonderful and welcoming. There is one female worker who is rude but besides that we love it here.
Food is great. Service was a little slow due to lack of employees. Customer service was great.
Literally always amazing! The owner is super sweet and works very hard! These guys work sooooo hard, and the food is AMAZING every time!
OMG! This place is amazing. We had a great combination for our breakfast: sweet pancakes and a savory sandwich. Love this place, it was a nice stop for us!During the pandemic? Yes, they are doing everything right. Following all the state guidelines. Following the CDC guidelines. recommend this place
This place is absolutely amazing, best home cooked food in Old Town, if not all of Albuquerque. I eat here regularly and have never been disappointed, excellent menu and excellent meals, also very affordable. When I have out of town relatives come into town, this is the first place we eat. Kudos to the people that make Central Grill the best!
Amazing experience. Owner cares about customers. Love this place!!!!!!,
It was the best experience. The guy was so nice. Gave me and our friend free blueberry pancakes to try. It was all amazing to the chicken, carne and burrito. Those were amazing pancakes over all.
This is our go to Sunday brunch spot. The food is always on point and the green chili is SO amazing. All of the food we have had is great but our favorite is the smothered burrito, the chilaquiles and the pancakes. The staff is always polite and on top of things and the owner always goes above and beyond, checking on people, saying hello, and bringing extra sides of the green chili. You must come and check this place out. also the covered patio is nice in any type of weather and we always bring our pup with us.
Very good place to eat coffee is amazing good price is very fair two meals under 30 bucks and we both got very full.great service wonderful staff very clean and welcoming.got the chilaquiles they are not like the traditional version at all maybe should be called something else if it didnt taste right Ive had em at various places they do look very different but the taste is on point. Everything we had here was good from service to food and even though they have the bathroom entrance on the outside its very clean all in all would totally recommend this place to anyone.
Excellent breakfast! Blueberry pancakes in particular!
Just leaving now they have really good sandwiches not busy at all but SLOW AS MUD to get order. 2 pastrami and rye over 15 minutes wait at Drive thru! Sad...
Great place! Clean, staff was friendly and there when you needed them.
Great food great service give it a try
Incredible BYO omelettes. Order your hashbrowns scattered
1st time in Albuquerque, stayed at a historic B&B that outsourced Central Grill for their guests breakfast. Thank goodness they did! Most amazing breakfast Ive had since New Orleans. The carne adovada with eggs and all the trimmings was fantastic as was everything else we ordered. Cant go wrong here.
You have to try the buttermilk pancakes and the topped fruit pancakes. I love buttermilk pancakes. I was an IHOP fan however since COVID, they are now closed due to not being able to generate enough business to stay open. Welcome to better pancakes. They are light and fluffy and you dont need to drown them in syrup.
This was originally a bad review but after I walked out the manager had spoken with my wife and noticed we weren’t too happy when we were leaving. He addressed all of our problems and made us feel as if our complaints were valid. Food wasn’t as we expected at first but we definitely will be back to try again.
Delicious food, great service. the owner was extremely kind and even brought us some food to sample, since it was our first time. 100% recommend.
