I live in Lubbock Texas so I’ve only ever ordered from the phone. They’ve never messed up an order so fortunately I don’t know how the return service is. They’re always super friendly and the shipping has always been surprisingly fast.Five stars!

I have been teaching dance for over 24 years and have dealt with several dance retailers and have never experienced this level of service. Fiona is thorough, efficient, experienced, friendly, and is a very good listener. She pays attention to details and has an answer right away. The rest of the staff is extremely friendly as well and you cannot get this experience with an online retailer. If you want your dance student to be taken care of without having to worry, you need to bring them to New Mexico Dancewear. Best experience I have ever had at a dance retail store! I went here for some dance shoes and the customer service was great and they helped me find a shoe I was looking for. I got 20% off because I was a first-time customer so instead of paying $45+ I paid about $35.I was actually quite impressed with actually how affordable. I was looking to buy online. I am glad I came by and checked this store out first. They also have shoes sizes for 11 + and up. And they do have an ability to order if they dont have your size in. In addition you can exchange the shoes from the 30 days as long as theres no wear and tear on the shoe. They also have clothing various types of socks etc. I would highly recommend this place if youre looking to buy a pair of high quality shoes before surfing online. The staff there are knowledgeable and are great at directing you for the type of shoe you need in any dance. The shoes do look like theyre made well. For me I got a pair of character dance shoes for a ballroom social dance class. So it suits the purpose.I also have big feet like some may have and struggle finding shoes that are my size so this was really nice just to walk in and walk out with a pair of dancing no hassle.

The boys ballet merchandise is in plastic bags in the back of the store and rarely do they have the correct size. We usually have to special order items, like we did today, which is frustrating. Boys dance too and it would be nice if they had a similar shopping experience to the female dancers!

My little girl started dance over the weekend, and I was so excited to take her to NM Dancewear. I grew up going there for all my dancing necessities and was so excited to finally do this with her. The ladyvthat fitted her for ballet shoes was amazing and so helpful. My daughter was cery comfortable talking with her too! However, when I went to pay the two younger girls at the counter were so very rude, and completely changed my experience with NM Dancewear. They both kept rolling their eyes, and abruptingly grabbing things. They didnt even try to talking to my daughter, let alone myself. I left there feeling very annoyed, when my initial reaction was so exciting. I do with I could remember the name if the girl that helped us at the beginning because she was the best!

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. I had never been shopping for this type of clothing and shoes. My daughters ballet shoes and leotard were of good quality and were only a couple of dollars more than going to payless and Walmart. Plus its the real stuff not cheap knockoffs. I almost ordered my daughters ballet clothes on amazon but I’m glad I didn’t. I walked in and the nice woman at the counter pulled up her exact uniform. Super knowledgable about all the clothes and gave tips. The prices were better than online and they offer discounts. In and out in less than 15 and cheaper than online. Local too. Super pleased with the service. They even gave my daughter a little keychain!

Nice selection of leotards and shoes. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I went in to get new ballet shoes and leotards and wanted to try a new style of shoe. The lady helping was nice but didnt ask what brand I preferred, which is something they usually ask at other stores. I ended up getting Só Dança instead of Bloch, but didnt even notice until I got home. They fit right and felt nice, so it didnt matter too much to me anyway. (I used to be a snob about my Bloch slippers...) They offer a student discount which is really nice, and I will definitely be going back.

The younger girls that worked there were so very helpful and waited on my 5 year old little girl as if she were a princess!! Will go back if my daughter continues her dance hobby..
