Initially, I called to see if they would check on financing for me to see if I could get a good rate. The rate they gave me was much better than I expected. Next, Stacy, the saleslady I connected with, sent a text to me with a link to the inventory of the type of car I was interested in that was available on their lot. I selected a couple of cars and Stacy said shed have them available to look at when I arrived. True to her word, she was ready for me and the paperwork was handled expeditiously. It was the best experience Ive had when purchasing a car. Because I had no one available to drive my current car home and did not want to trade it in, Stacy made arrangements with me to personally deliver the car I bought to my home, and, I drove my old car back home.Overall, the experience exceeded my expectations. And I love the new car. Thank you University Volkswagon/Mazda for making this experience a pleasant one.

I was driving through town and didn’t have an appointment, but the friendly staff were able to fit me in for an oil change and tire rotation…work was completed within a couple of hours and a $20 coupon was honored…oil change was also $20 cheaper than I pay in SoCal…I recommend this establishment

I thought checking the air in the tires would be part of the inspection. I was surprised when I checked the tires a couple of days later to find a 7 psi difference where all 4 should have been the same. All but one was low. The spare was only 16 psi when it should have been 60 psi. I thought paying for a pricey oil change would have gotten a better inspection.Other than that, all went well. Appreciated the Lyft ride especially as well as the appointment and completion were reasonably timely.

Everything about our experience at University Volkswagen Mazda was amazing. We rolled up with no appointment, Jeremy Jones walked over and asked us how he could help. I knew what I wanted as well as what I wanted to pay. We test drove my car and I fell instantly in love. Despite my obvious adoration for my new Mazda, there was no pressure to buy, no jacking up of the price, my husband helped me negotiate the price that I wanted. We had secured our financing before walking on the lot and they made sure my interest rate was as low as possible. Jeremy was the ideal combination of laid back, supportive, attentive and informative. Jeff in finance made closing the deal a piece of cake. We had to return the next day to drop off the remainder of our downpayment and James corrected an error that we found in the paperwork. All staff with whom I interacted were professional, kind, friendly and helpful. The entire purchasing experience lent itself to me feeling even BETTER about driving my new ride around town!!! Great job. I overtightened my drain plug on my last oil change. I was a bit concerned that I might need a new oil pan because of possibly messing up the thread on the oil pan. The guys there were able to take off the drain plug with no need to replace the oil pan.Thanks for the great job. Also the customer service was great.

Bought a new car of a different brand in late May... and we were rear-ended and our new car was totaled in July on day 1 of vacation... Did some research while using a rental on the rest of our trip and came to Univ. Mazda on the first day back. They had a silver gray CX-5 Grand Touring that seemed perfect and we bought it... total time at the dealer was only about 2 hours, including kicking the tires. Mike Cordoba took care of us... walked us through the process and didnt press for a bunch of extras. After the delivery, Mike walked us through all the high-tech owner-adjustments, and even came out to the house when we couldnt make the garage door opener work. All fixed. Nice car, very comfortable, and the quietest SUV weve had.

I was traveling for the summer and became aware I would need service before I would get home. I visited University Mazda in Albuquerque. Adam was a very knowledgeable and courteous Advisor. I was worked in because it was not actually planned. That was nice they did that for be. It was a nice and comfortable experience. I assume all the work was done just as Mazda specifies. I could not ask for more. I got the service the car needed and my traveling has resumed. Next time I travel in that area and need service I will plan ahead with them.

Everything about this place is great. Except for your communication. I had a valet service scheduled to pick up my vehicle to have your service department check something that can become a major issue on a car that I’ve had less than 2 years. When the time came for the pickup nothing happened. When the time came for my appointment no call or email. When I called to see where the valet was, no answer I got an answering machine. I’m going to take my car somewhere else that doesn’t waste my time. Even if I’m still in warranty I’d rather have good service then to be left hanging.

Took an older Touareg there with several issues, one of which was a brake pad error light. They seemed certain of the fix and did it as part of a $2200 bill. Drove it home after a week there and the next day the error light is back on for apparently a certain fix. Did they even drive it or try to make sure the issue was resolved? I dont think they did. They seem too busy. Call to try to complain and too busy to pick up phone and they call me back but too busy to leave a voice mail. It reminds me of why I never go to dealerships for service work.EDIT...now check engine back on.EDIT2: They saw this rating and quickly made contact to rectify...which is nice, and arranged to pick up the vehicle and take a look...which is also nice. Will update on progress and adjust rating as it plays out.EDIT3: Overall the experience was addressed and the offending light check brake pads has not returned. Might be a good idea to have the guys picking up a vehicle to have logod shirts cause even though my wife knew they were coming she was briefly startled. Changed to 3 stars.

From start to finish, I had The best car buying experience! Jay, my salesman couldn’t have been more patient, kind, fun and easy to work with. There was none of the dreaded usual back and forth to the sales manager. In fact, James, sales manager came out to meet me and go over the deal. I felt heard and respected, which is rare when a woman goes to buy a car.It was late on Saturday when I drove away in my beautiful car. In my excitement, I forgot to get my house key off my old car key ring which I didn’t realize until I got home 30 minutes later. In a panic I realized I couldn’t get in my house. I called and James, the sales manager offered to bring it to me. He drove out of his way, after hours to make sure I had the key to get into my house. I was not expecting to buy a new car but the old one told me it was time. I was contacted by Chelvin immediately upon my request. This guy is truly a good guy. He spent the afternoon with me and thoroughly went over the many, many details l needed to know to make my decision. He couldn’t have been more friendly and supportive. Edit: ok so I finally have my vehicle, and it’s been a week of officially having it. I’m still just as pleased! Michael has checked in with me a few times to see how everything is. I was kept up to date during the entire shipping process and was called when it arrived to make a time to finalize everything. Signing the paperwork was quick and painless. Michael even took time out of his day to show me the features on my car since it was a huge technological upgrade from what I traded in. I’m so extremely grateful for everything they’ve done to help me get to this point.I’m sure most people dread going to the dealership, as do I lol. But I went by myself, and I was treated so well. Michael Cordova was the wonderful salesman who helped me out. He and the rest of the team did some digging into a vehicle that was on their website but not on the lot, and we were able to make a deal for when it finally does arrive. I’ve never felt so respected, and honestly I didn’t feel pressured at all into purchasing a vehicle. They were extremely fair and flexible with my trade in as well. I had emailed a couple dealerships about similar vehicles, and University was the ONLY one to respond to my inquiry (and it was literally a response within five minutes!!). 10/10, I’d buy another vehicle from University Mazda again.

I am not one to ever leave any reviews at all but honestly I was very disappointed in my purchase. I have purchased a good amount of vehicles from well know dealerships. I have never had an experience where things were all that great with my vehicle. I purchased a 2016 Mazda miata convertible with only 28k miles. Practically in new condition. Vehicle has a small windshield crack that didnt look like much. Dealership did not replace windshield and sold it to me like that. They did not release vehicle to me the day that I bought it because I was told it needed to undergo a pin point inspection for about 2 days to make sure everything was good with the vehicle. So the dealership provided me with a loaner car temporarily while my vehicle comes out from that inspection. 2 days later I get a call to go pick up the car and drive it home. Less than 24 hours later the windshield crack runs all through half the windshield and now you have a beautiful convertible with a messed up windshield which makes it look horrible. I knew that it was going to need replacement but didnt think it would happen so quickly. I thought that the dealership would of sealed that crack to prevent t it from spreading but I guess they did not. Aside from that every time I reach a red light the car makes a whistling noise. At first I was excited and I let it go. But now it just gets a little irritating. Looks like Im going to have to take it in and see if brakes need some attention. I understand its a used car but for the amount financed and with a good sized down payment put towards the loan Im amazed that they gave me the car like that. I attempted to reach out to the dealership and explain my frustration and all they told me was that they were trying to get me a new windshield at the dealerships price. Another day has passed and no one has reached out to me to see what is the plan of action to get things fixed. I just resulted in having someone else install a new windshield out of my pocket so not to thrilled on that but it is what it is. The sales person was good to work with. Kind, respectful and did his job well. Im just not so happy about some of these issues that I have never encountered at any other dealership. But overall the process was not too bad. Its an overall good dealership but you really have to negotiate some of the minor issues you see from the get go. I wish them all the best but not sure they would have my repeat business anymore.

The work got completed at the indicated cost but it took much longer than the service advisor first indicated. I brought the car in on a Thursday and on Friday afternoon he said it wouldn’t be done until Monday or Tuesday. I hadn’t heard any more by Tuesday afternoon and left a message for him to find out what was going on. Wednesday morning he called me to say they were waiting on a part that was supposed to arrive the next day and that they knew had a four day delivery schedule, I guess from the previous Friday. The car was finally ready on Friday morning, three days after the Tuesday first indicated.

I would give six stars if I could, for going above and beyond. First, our sales rep, Michael was super helpful and unlike many car salesmen, he was very low pressure, no high pressure sales here, just someone wanting to help you find the right car. But UVM was great at all levels. While working on paper work, I had my two young daughters with me and the employees were so kind, taking time to say hi to them, one even gave my daughter a toy dinosaur, just so kind and thoughtful. But theres more to this story, and I will recommend UVM and come back.We bought a used subaru that looked great, but unfortunately, once we got home, it became clear the compressor on the AC was failing. I do not blame them for missing this, as we didnt notice it on the test drive. I brought the car back and the service department agreed to replace the compressor, no hassels. I came back a few days later and they replaced it for free. Theres more....After a short wait, they said the repair might take longer than expected so they gave me a loaner car and even offered to let me take it home and they would drive my car to south of moriarty, more than an hour away so I didnt have to stay in town. Well, I went to lunch in the car and they called about an hour later letting me know my car was done, but I could keep the loaner for the rest if the day if I wanted.Overall, this was a great experience, from buying the car to getting it fixed, they made it right. Good job and thanks.

We bought our VW Touareg from University back in 2005 and have used their service department for every maintenance since. Each oil change and maintenance has always been done quickly and with a friendly staff. This time, however, they exceeded our expectations and went above and beyond to help us with some costly repairs. They walked us through each option and helped us decide which repair was a priority. If I could do ZERO stars I would! The financing manager was awful. This place was a WASTE of our time! Do yourself a favor dont go there for anything. They made a mistake with our trade in value and did nothing to try and figure it out or fix their mistake. We had to figure it out and get ourselves approved for more money. Pros: Sales members were friendly and professional. They were knowledgeable about their electric vehicles. Initial communication was cordial and relevant; available over email or SMS. Lot supply was varied and online inventory and pricing were kept up to date over the course of our search spanning months. No-haggle price point was appreciated.Cash deal transacted in a straightforward manner. Purchase was completed.Cons: There was a specific used electric model that we found online while we were out of state. Initial phone call to the sales center generated a quote; it was clear that we were only ever interested in only one electric model and that it would need to be delivered to Colorado. Courtesy Delivery was offered free of charge and clearly noted on the quote sheet (charged-shipping was included as a line item, but marked as optional). When we made the 6-hour road trip to the dealership we were greeted by a different sales rep who immediately informed us that the quote sheet was going to have to be amended to include *required* shipping since long-distance courtesy delivery was not an option for an electric car. Disappointed that the original quote was not honored and that upon arrival in-person the price was increased by 2.5% to cover the non-optional shipping.If there are any extenuating or unique circumstances involved in your purchase, we would recommend coordinating with multiple representatives prior to purchase. Quote sheets provided remotely may not accurately represent price upon arrival.

Jeremy assisted us and treated us well. I like that he actually knew something about the cars they were trying to sell. I had a female sales person in this same dealership that seemed like she didnt even know much about the cars, didnt show us the selling points for the cars that we were interested in, I mean, thats what you are supposed to do a sales person there right. Jeremy was a pleasant, knowledgeable person and we didnt feel like we are pressured to buy something.I have to say something about them not including the mats that we paid for though. I noticed that they were included in the price but we never received them, I talked to the finance manager Jeff, said he will update me if they have it in stock and that theyre checking, but nobody got back to me, does it take more than 24 hours to check if you have it in stock?

Adam in the Service Department was great to work with: pleasant on the phone, quick with the assessment and price information, and responsive over the week while the work was completed. I really liked the option to communicate via text, and they sent a video explanation of our car diagnostic which was really cool! Overall experience was excellent. Plus repairs are warrantied for a year at any VW dealership, which gives good peace of mind.

Service crew was helpful despite being massively busy due to parts shortage, supply chain delays, etc. I had to wait longer than usual to get a service appointment and the parts needed did not come at the expected time, but service crew was great about ordering Lyfts and providing me with a loaner. The service department at University Volkswagen is friendly and professional. The entire experience if having my car repaired was positive and transparent. This is the first time a dealership working on my car emailed me a video showing my engine with a mechanic explaining the problem. I could plainly see the extent of the oil leak caused by a broken vacuum pump. I am very impressed with the detailed presentation. The repair took two days and I was driven home and picked up when my car was ready. I’m new to Albuquerque and will be returning to University Volkswagen for oil changes and maintenance on my car. The techs and mechanics are friendly, fair, and conscientious.
