The prices are high considering the cheap quality. You’ll find the exact thing here for less at Smith’s! You’re better off shopping somewhere else for better groceries. Bread and meat is good but that’s all I will buy from here.

Hi I Went To El Mezquite Market. To Buy A Bakery Items And Dinner I Purchased A Mexican Flan And When I Ate It I Had To Rest In My Bed Because I Received A Food Poisoning In My Stomach But I Show No Symptoms. Of Food Poisoning. Buyer Beware Of The Bakery Items I Liked El Mezquite Market Since 2011 When I Was A Teenager. And It Was Better When The Old Employee Was Making Flan But I Dont Know Why There Are New Employees At The Bakery I Saw 2 Employees At The Bakery That Are 23 Years old And A Man Working who is 22 Years Old. I Hope El Mezquite Market Files For Bankruptcy Chapter 11 And Liquidate All The Items Thank You But You Lost Me As A Customer

First off people with severe asthma are not required to wear masks, and asthma is protected by the ADA(American Disability Act) with that say to have one of your security guards scream and disrespect my boyfriend who has severe asthma because he needs to be able to breathe and wanting to fight him and his brother even though they explained the it to him that he has severe asthma and can’t wear the mask at all times or else he will have an asthma attack is unacceptable. A security guard working for your company is representing you and this is not the way to do it. Your security guard threatening my bf because he can’t wear a mask was ilegal. This was escalated for no reason. Please train your people right before it escalates any further.

Good prices on produce (limes, onions, peppers), meat, and cheese. Excellent food prepared daily; especially for breakfast and lunch. Highly recommend this grocery store for their prices on everything mentioned above, but not the best for items like milk, juice, chips, etc.

I have shopped at this market before. As with every market I shop at, I dont like everything there. I select items which I prefer, and abstain from items which I dont like. I come to Mezquite Market for cayenne powder, cumin powder, garlic powder and onion powder. Its more expensive than the fresh vegetables, yet I like these as seasonings. I also enjoyed the hibiscus tea which I purchased here. I liked the chamomile tea.

You must be bilingual to shop here. Well, some of the staff only speak Spanish and some speak both, but they sometimes will say they speak Spanish, only to find out they can speak English too. The food options are decent and mostly Mexican types. Great deals on fresh veggies and fruits. They meat department cuts meat in house so I guess its fresh. They have a mvd express, jewelry market, and check cashing market too.

I like this store because you can buy ready to eat meals here. So If you like everything all Mexican or Spanish this is the place to come to shop. You will have fun shopping here. It is the only place that you can go too to buy groceries for all your Spanish & mexican recipes.

An ok store. Most of the time the vegetables are going bad or ugly looking. Or if you buy them fresh in a few days they go bad. Somewhat cheap on something. But very good Mexican candy. Love it.

This store doesnt deserve a star!!! After visiting with family in Albuquerque, and on our way back home to Denver CO, my cousin and I decided to buy roasted chili to take back. We were directed to Smiths and another store (forgot the name) and found both had only mild, (at least they were TRUTHFUL). We decided to try one more place, El Mestique. We were happy to see chile labeled xtra hot. But nooooo, after wasting our money, time to roast, time to peel & bag, it should have been labeled EXTRA MILD. I feel like we were deceived, I refuse to shop at a store that lies to their customers. Thats FRAUD!!!

I love this local market. I found this treasure, four years ago, while visiting Rio Rancho. Upon my return to NM last week, I was told by my sin-in-law, that theyd closed. Needless to say, I had to go see for myself. I was happy to see that theyd just downsized. This market has a great prices on their meat & vegetables & the homemade salsas & Pico are to die for. I was sad to see the deli go, but delighted that theyre still in business.

They dint cash signed checks and if your cashing ur check after work don’t even waste ur time. This place is a joke. Charge so much but make it so difficult. Seems like there’s a few “close friends” they don’t require this new “gotta call ur work before cashing a check” policy to others in line, which was a Spanish lady. I don’t think she was turning me down cuz of discrimination but it just seems fishy when I cashed before all time and today (Saturday night) 7:35 pm there do happens to decline cuz my work place is closed. Her name is Jasmine, very rude, unhelpful and waste of time. Spend the ACE fee charge, cuz u will spend less money but ur stress level and gas money is not going to waste. Btw I’m very understanding but when I am dead broke and not a penny to my name driving all the way here thinking it will be the same service last time....Boy was I wrong! Trust me I’d pay higher fees then get this treatment at hard times I’m dealing with already.

Horrible. They NEVER had the daily specials, some of the food looked like it had been there for days & just reheated, every time I went, ended up sick. GO TO EL SUPER! This place is garbage! I’ve never been to a place where employees work so hard not to do their job. Every time I check out the cashiers cause a problem or look for a problem to waist my time. Last time I was in the store (7/6/18 @ 17:11:26 pm) the cashier Karen would not accept my money because it had a tear in it!??? Called the manager to ask why my money was not acceptable. No reason, no explanation, no service, I Was just told no. Also, this was done after the cashier had already taken my money put it in her drawer and was about to give me my change. I have the receipt #4644. I had other forms of payment and when they assumed I couldn’t pay for my items they began to take the groceries from me. When I told them I would still like to purchase these items The cashier got upset! Do your job! Why am I being treated this way when all I want to do is give you my money. Why would I come to a store that makes it hard for me to do so? I believe this is a place that discriminates against those who do not speak Spanish well and I’ve had enough of this unwelcoming attitude every time I walk in this place.

I just moved from Chicago to Albuquerque with my fiancé, so, we were looking for a grocery store to buy some Mexican products that they dont have at stores like Walmart. We went to this store but I personally think a lot of things there are overpriced. It has a decent amount of things you could only find in a Mexican grocery store but unless you absolutely need said thing, I think Id hold off. I also tried a steak burrito from there, it was ok at best. They have good salsa tho! Id totally recommend their red salsa, and their pickled onion. TBH no sane person, at least that I know, is gonna pay $10 for a styrofoam totilla holder.
