Nathan was an exceptionally good installer! He was thorough and made certain we understood the system before leaving our home. We definitely want Nathan to return to install a camera.

Kevin upgraded our old non-working alarm system in the house we moved into. Fixed non-working components (magnetic sensors, motion detector, main controller) and added cameras to the security system. The final system configuration (integrated wired and WiFi components) works smoothly. He is very knowledgeable about all system components he had to deal with. Kevin was courteous at all times and patient with all of our questions during the installation. Due to staffing problems he had to complete the project alone without complaint.

TAS gets two thumbs up from us. We were on the “Brink” of changing monitoring companies for our home security system. The staff who answered the phone were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. Kevin Martin came to our home to replace the outdated cellular communicator, upgrade one of the keypads so that we can now use the phone app, and replace a faulty keypad. He was truly knowledgeable, efficient, and happy to explain the new system and answer questions. We would recommend without hesitation.

Ive had my service with this company since 2017 and all of a sudden in 2021 I received a substantial increase in my bill. It took me several days before I was able talk to someone about why my bill increased. When I finally spoke with someone the representative I spoke with was very rude and unwilling to listen to me, or my concerns about the bill increase. I did not feel valued as a customer and my voice did not matter to them. I would have definitely expected this from a national company, but not from someone local. Would not recommend this company as when the time came that I needed customer service it was definitely not there!

Went in for window sensors, and they had exactly what I needed. Then, they demonstrated an alarm system for me, explained their services, and we setup an appointment for an estimate. I like this store.

Matt the tech came to my home to upgrade my alarm system and I couldnt have asked for a nicer guy. He was knowledgeable, efficient, professional, and excellent at training me about the new features of my panel. And he cleaned up after himself. This is a small mom and pop shop. Its been around for a very long time. The folks who run it are customer service oriented, kind and professional. We have been very happy with our service. We had to turn our electricity off to put a dimmer switch in and TAS called us within minutes of turning it off. I didnt think that shutting the electrical system off would trigger the alarm but it makes sense. I was very impressed with how fast they responded!

From the first visit to The Alarm Store to the actual installation of the security service was an awesome experience. Michael was courteous and very helpful at the Customer Service Desk along with the home visit.Kevin, the technician, was spectacular! He was personable and profession. He has excellent communication skills and was able to answer all of my questions. Kevins instructions on how to use the security system and add the app was well-paced, thorough and very easy to follow and understand. He was very diligent and efficient with the entire installation. Kevin is very committed to giving the best customer service at a very high level!

Update 4 November 2019:Updated our modem and needed to reset port forwarding and configure the network for monitoring. Had to contact the provider and have them configure settings on their end. John arrived early and got the system up and running in spite of a couple oddball issues. Once again, more than pleased with their competency and thoroughness. TAS is the definition of professional.Switched to TAS Security and more than pleased with the experience in updating our 6 year old security and video systems. Paul and John are prompt, competent, efficient, thorough, and friendly. The rates for labor and monitoring are very reasonable. If you need anything related to security, these are the people to call.

I have had TAS Security for over 5 years, and have not previously reviewed them. This week, I needed service, and its time to share my experience. First, a real person answered the phone and quickly routed me to the appropriate person. He helped me diagnose the problem and scheduled a service call for the next day. Kevin Martin, technician, showed up on time and quickly went through the diagnostics, confirming the issue (battery replacement) and the cost to fix it. He suggested that, since he was onsite and it was covered in the service call fee, he should check out all the batteries on all the contact points. He did this, and replaced several. Throughout, he was capable, professional, patted my dog, and kept me advised on what needed to be replaced and what could be replaced if I wanted to be proactive. All done in less than an hour. I am a totally happy customer.

If you are looking for an alarm system or an existing system upgraded look no further. Ever since we had our system installed it has been a dream come true. I can check my property from my camera feed any time any place from my phone. If I hear a noise outside at night I can check my camera feed from my phone. I can arm or disarm my alarm too at any time it is handy if you have your hands full with groceries just disarm from the driveway. Ask for John Calderon! A rep from TAS came to my house today and gave me some great ideas about my alarm system. I have been with Protection One for 21 years and until 2 years ago, was happy with their service. Last year my alarm went off at 2:30am while I was sleeping. There was no intrusion. I turned off the alarm and waited for Protection One to call me. It took 15-20 minutes for someone to call. I told them that was totally unacceptable and she said she would have a supervisor call me. No one called. 2 days later I called and spoke with a supervisor who had a tech come out to the house. The system needed a new battery. How was I to know? And what if a forced entry had occurred during that time? When I am paying a company for protective services I expect them to be more diligent and responsive to the customer. A month ago my neighbor called and said my alarm was going off. I called Protection One to ask why they hadnt called me. They said they didnt get any notice of an alarm and it was probably my neighbors alarm that was blaring. I told them it was my neighbor who called me! They did have a record of the alarm being turned off (I called the contractor and gave him the code). A tech was sent out but he couldnt find any problem with the system. Because of these experiences I was eager to change companies, hence the call to TAS. I called Protection One to cancel my services and was told I am under a 5 year contract with 20 months remaining and I would have to pay $750 to get out of the contract. After 21 years of loyalty to the company !!! From family and friends and neighbors, I have heard rave reviews about TAS. Do me a favor and give TAS your business. I would love to see Protection One lose customers. For them (Protection One) the bottom line is money and not customer service!

I had inherited an older orphaned system from several other companies. Ian Palmer reviewed my options and recommended that we make use of specific existing components and add a couple of new components to complete the system. John Calderon (Technician) was the one to make it all work and perform the integration. John did an excellent job of incorporating the existing and new components. The system works perfectly and provides the security we need. I have used TAS previously and been very happy with them and their performance. I have always found TAS personnel to be professional and totally on top of delivering a great system even using existing components.

We just had a security system installed about a month ago, and Ryan and Kevin were wonderful. They took the time to go over and walk me through everything and answered all my questions (a few repeatedly!) without ever becoming impatient. I appreciated that very much. Everything is working well so far and they respond quickly with any questions or to help with little glitches which have arisen since the installation. I would highly recommend them!

TAS has monitored my business and residential properties for years. Everyone has always been very helpful. Zach is my go to contact and hes always treated me with respect, courtesy and given excellent service. I have referred many people to TAS and will continue do so. They just left after upgrading my system to a digital panel that allows me to add multiple users, check the status on my phone and even control my thermostat. TAS is hands down the best bang for the buck dont hesitate to call them.

After a neighbors home was broken in to I called TAS; Zach and Ian were at my home less than 24 hours later, and were able to revamp and configure my existing alarm system. TAS offers amazing customer service, knowledgeable and professional staff, economical pricing, and theyre local. Cant recommend TAS enough. Piece of mind and sense of security are worth every penny.

John did an outstanding job installing the wireless contacts, zone labeling, thoroughly testing the system, reprogramming the existing keypad so that I could use my personal password, testing existing infrareds components, horn and alarm panel. He showed me all the work that he performed explaining how each component worked and thoroughly answering all of my questions as he discussed each zone operation, repeating as many times as necessary for me to understand. He was very, very patient and never rushed through any questions that I asked. He also provided a printout of each zone as well as labeling them on the keypad. He provided recommendations that he believed would meet my needs which were very helpful. He provided TAS window labels and yard signs. He explained all the billing information: installationcost, monthly monitoring cost, etc. Once again the entire installation experience was outstanding and I really enjoyed all my discussions with John. I strongly recommend John for any future work that needs to be performed as well as TAS as a whole because I believe TAS provides by far the best security service in the Albuquerque Metro Area. Additionally all TAS estimators, installers, administrative staff, etc have provided excellent service for the past 25 years which is the reason we continue to utilize TAS’s services.

We got several repeaters as tas requested, still not much help also the other cameras dont ever record anything even when u highlight the areas u want it to record when/if theres movement, it doesnt record nothing ever. U have to push record manually.

Outstanding evaluation of needs and services. I had inherited an old orphaned system from TAS with the building but it was inadequate for our current needs. I knew nothing about TAS but checked out all of the competition first then contacted them.TAS personnel advised us as to how to build a security program for the property that not only exceeded our requirements, but utilized much of the system we already had, saving a significant amount of cost.There was a challenging wi-fi situation due to masonry construction with multiple rooms between extremities of the property, which TAS deftly handled at minimal cost with strategically placed repeater equipment to strengthen signals to optimal levels.Everyone we worked with at TAS was extremely helpful and insisted on staying until we fully understood, software settings, app features, backup systems, camera settings/sensitivity, motion detection, response process for Police, Fire, etc...I accidentally triggered an alarm, and the response was instant and amazingly efficient. This gave me even more confidence that TAS performs monitoring services exactly as advertised.There is a reason that most local businesses trust TAS with their security needs. Being local, their reputation depends on how they are perceived by the community they serve, and you are not just a customer number in a national database. I highly recommend TAS for business or residential security needs and have already referred them to business owners and friends.

My husband and I tried for two months to get an appointment to have a home security system installed by TAS Security Systems. No one returned our calls. Although we had wanted to go with a locally owned security company we finally gave up on TAS, and started calling national companies. While we were waiting for our appointment with Vivant someone broke into our house, stole all my jewelry, and destroyed our walk-in closet to remove a wall safe. Two days later TAS Security Systems called three times telling us they would be happy to set up an appointment. I am pretty appalled by the way they run their business, and I would never recommend them. Im sorry to say it, but in terms of getting home security systems it is probably better to go with a big security systems company.

I switched to the Alarm Store from a national company. They installed a new touch screen panel and were able to take over many of the sensors already installed which saved me money. The monthly price is about 60% of what I was paying with the national company and the smartphone app + zwave devices are very cool. Open your garage, unlock your doors and control your thermostat from anywhere in the world with internet access.Great service from everyone Ive spoken with. Zach did my install and is a very nice guy to deal with. Im fairly certain Ill be a lifetime customer.

Called for help on camera that did not work and had to be replaced...lol...he said if I had security system from another company they would not help. I said all I want is self monitored security camera installed..he said unless we get contract from them to monitor they would not help. DO NOT USE THIS BUNCH OF MORONS...as bad as ADT AND MONI (Monitronics)

First purchased my alarm and monthly monitoring from T.A.S. over 17 yrs ago - they were and still are the friendliest, easiest to work with, knowledgable alarm company in town. straight forward, affordable prices and excellent customer service for 17+ yrs now. Usually a simple phone call and I can get understandable technical advice, replacement parts or just good old fashioned common sense advice to best handle my aging alarm system. T.A.S. helps me keep my alarm in tip-top working condition and I already know that when the day comes when i will need to replace my original alarm T.A.S. will bethere to help me upgrade in the easiest most affordable way. I always recommend T.A.S. as the best way to get an alarm system in ABQ.

I have use TAS for about 15 years and i think they are the best in town. Any time I have a problem, which isnt often I can call their office and they walk me through the solution.

I dont know who answers their phones there but that lady was the rudest person I have ever dealt with. I will be telling everyone I know to not use there services. For being a security type of company they sure seem like they dont know anything about it. Terrible business use someone else!!!

It took over a week for someone to call me back to schedule an appointment,which the rep was asking me questions instead of being a professional advisor, it was a month later before I received a quote, very unprofessional and they didnt appear to know their product
