BY FROM AMAZON OR CRAIGSLIST!!!Throughout my years going to CNM this CNM Bookstore has been horrible! No help whatsoever and over the years I just ignored how rude and snotty they can be but I am so tired of it its a constant pattern. If CNM doesnt know how to organize and hire decent people than they shouldnt sell books because they are no help to begin with. When starting my classes to get books for the semester some of the Instructors would also help me out and they were rude and unhelpful to my CNM Instructors too. Way to treat your own teachers. I would say for everyone to buy somewhere else. They want their students to fail. If you are a new comer out of high school your best bet is to not go to this college go somewhere else youll have a better experience. I talked to someone today and told me just to call again later. Im like you realize how long I wait to get a hold of anyone at CNM in general?? NO HELP AT ALL. You might as well hire the homeless off the streets near there they would most likely do a better job. I would give this a negative five stars if I could. Like I understand if its just one bad experience but it has always happened since I have been coming to CNM no EXCUSES!!! But they are all about excuses and not owning up to their faults. I rarely complain when I have a bad experience anywhere but sometimes its just so bad I want to warn others to not think of getting a hire education as stressful just to get your basic needs for the class.

Went to school here 28 years ago and the place is really nice now great job on keeping up with the times Brycon Construction is doing a really good job on the new areas being up-graded safe clean respectful .Bull LuceroUsmc

In the past, I had issues for rental returns!! I have a 575 area code for my phone number and they put 505 like dummies. They don’t pay attention what phone number they put on file and when you return them, your phone number doesn’t show up and its a whole different number. Have those cashiers repeat the phone number back to you.

I dont know about the whole school but the staff in the bookstore is very unfriendly and quite rude luckily I was only there with the friend so I didnt have to deal with the lady in the front its unfortunate that people cant be happy with the jobs that they have.

The line for required books is very long. They have more then one person in the book store. Someone couldve taken orders fasters and have a better system . I did get my books without any complication thats the good part .

The lockers they want you to leave your bags in dont work. Yet there are lots of signs saying not to take bags into the store. No one in there right mind is going to leave a bag unattended in the foyer! The cashier I had was nice enough but when I asked a question she was quite curt. Though a brief encounter I wasnt impressed nor did I want to run screaming. If they are going to compete with Amazon and other online book renting/buying sources they better up their game. I did grab a snack while in line that was handy, Amazon cant get you a snickers that fast. As I stood in line it looked like they had a lot of great choices in CNM shirts etc. And other things one might find handy if you dont want to leave campus.

This may sound expensive but I was here getting coffee every single day Monday-Thursday and always had a great experience. Luis is such a great guy and MOST days I was out quick. I would recommend buying your books way before school starts or you’ll be waiting in lines that can be upTo 45 mins

Due to the pandemic, theyre operating out of a window. Very clean. Very nice. However a worker who will remain anonymous told me that management only makes them clean the card reader once a DAY. UGH!

This bookstore has EVERYTHING you could possibly need to start college and stay on top things. Literally so much to chose from. I look forward to shopping here. The staff is very friendly and helpful as well. Especially Oscar.Hard worker, diligent, patient, polite, and personable. Keep up the good work. 😉

Have been mistreated by this place every semester I attempted to attend here. Financial discrepancy every single semester. Should maybe audit these guys. I know for a fact there were items returned to them I never received the money for.

Though they cancelled my books without a heads up, the service is fast and efficient. Prices for things arent bad. Its helpful and convenient for students.

Got supplies that is about the only good thing i have to say

Went here to pick up an access code that can only be purchased from the bookstore. When I first arrived, an employee directed students where they needed to purchase access codes sent me to the checkout line. 15 min later, the checkout person told me that she had no access codes for the course, and to speak with someone else. The next person told me I had already purchased one. I explained this was not the case, and that I needed to buy one. She told me she couldn’t do this. I was directed to a third employee, who told me I was buying the last one. I then got to wait in line for 30 more minutes. All for something that should be available for purchase online. What a waste of time, very disappointed in the organization of this place

Friendly helpfull student workers and competent adult employees. Pick up desk was fast and easy.

Extremely helpful every time I visit! The staff are well informed and make sure you have exactly what you need for your classes. The computers were down when I went, the nice gentleman called the Montoya campus to make sure they were up and running and had my books!! That is going over and above

Its nice as far as how its organized, but there could certainly be more cashiers working so you dont stand in line for 45min to a hour. Definitely come early before class or anything you have to do that is time sensitive

Even though the textbook industry and college bookstore industry are a scam, the actual customer service you get here are actually pretty good. And you can buy a lot of things on their website that have nothing to do with school, and that can potentially distract and impact your schoolwork in a negative way, such as game consoles. But they want that sweet financial aid money any way they can get it. Heres to capitalism.

Cool place; plenty of accessories, Assumingly competitive prices on computer gear, and book price not known for summer session until list of attendees & instructors decision of which textbooks for course, for students academic training during their tenure of educational quest.

Where I go for all my supplies and books for school yay! Employees are always pretty nice and courteous and are willing to help you with whatever you need.

Place is easy to locate, clean and big parking lot, super organized/neat, staff isnt so friendly and questions asked are answered differently amongst staff members.

Friendly, professional staff ready to help you as you walk in the door all the way back out!

Oscar the lead is an amazing and helpful employee.i had to purchase a tool kit for welding. It was easy in and easy out. The best experience at a bookstore.

Fun experience visiting the campus for my friends culinary final. Very nice building, bookstore, and harassment free parking. The students did a great job presenting edible food.

This is a great place to pick up some supplies you need for classes like notebooks, loose paper, writing utensils... or to pick up your textbooks (rented or owned). They also have some snacks just in case if youre hungry or some makeup by self to save you a trip to the store.

Helpful staff, of course had to expect a line on the first week of school. So just relax and go on free time not in-between classes

Not too bad. Only real complaint is that they only offer one or two times for higher classes, so if you have a job, good luck taking anything passed the intro classes.

A bit to friendly for my liking, but over all its a very nice store and staff are willing to help. Never worry about anything when I need to get something done for school.

Talk about flipping policy, seems every week theres something different. Price match isnt what they say it is. For example, they price match Amazon (or local bookstores). Say the book is $10 on Amazon but they sell it for $80. They will charge your financial aid their full price and give you the difference in a gift card to be used only at their locations. They use to allow you to get a gift card for Starbucks, Lowes, Best Buy etc but no longer allow that.

Great place to find a skill or career. Counselors are always happy to help you.

Other then the long lines for checkout during peak times, I have had nothing but positive experiences with the bookstore. The staff in the text book area are quick to help you find the items you are looking for, though its not hard to find d them yourself if you have your class information. The book store also offers general merchandise and tools needed for the various classes at the school. Scrubs to hairnets, note books to iPads, this place has almost everything you would need.

Not quite polite or helpful, as the list they got doest explain as much or they ignore you, mainly the women. They sold me a ruined calculator and book I didnt need.

CNM has made a lot of improvements to their facilities, curriculum and offerings over the last several years. I like that a lot of the staff from UNM also teaches at CNM and uses their same materials.

They allow you to purchase items with your financial aide. They are very helpful in helping you find your books as well.

There arent enough people to work the window and there was a very long line.

Staff doesnt know anything about the stuff they sell and way overpriced! Employees are rude and give you the run around and bounce you from one to another and hang up on you because they dont know how to help a customer. Dont waste your time shopping there.

They upcharge pretty heavily... Buy online if you have that capability.

Store hours on Cnm websites is 8-4 M-F and closed weekends. This is very inconvenient for someone working full time M-F job. I would like to not have to request off work just to pick up/return books.

My wife is currently finishing her ADN. I went to school here when it was TVI, and boy has it grown up. Good school for an Associate degree. The bookstore is still a dam ripoff! In addition, they force you to wait in a one hour line because they dont have enough cashiers. Books are priced up 400%. Capitalism at its most dirty.

Fast, friendly, and everything I needed was in stock. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.

The books are expensive (obviously) but the customer service is great. Just make sure you have a list of your books and to get them in the back before purchasing. I see lots of people wait in line for 20 minutes and finally get to the cashier and ask for the books. Only to be told to get the books themselves in the back and have to wait another 20 minutes in line.

Nice people grate service.

Very friendly staff just make sure to get there early because it gets really busy and it can lead you to spending more time then youd like there.

Other than the fact that the book store is a complete racket. The store is nicely set up and moving through the line during peak times usually goes very quickly.

Awful girl at the counter to pick up online book orders today. If you cant help a customer with a simple pickup inquiry without acting like its a big inconvenience theres probably a job better suited for you elsewhere.

The two ladies that work here are good and knowledgeable. My experience with the student help is they are not so knowledgeable.

Students already have to bend over and take the outrageous prices for books. But then have to deal with students services and a bookstore that reflects the service you would expect at our NM MVD. The staff only know their own department and wont direct to someone who knows. Their new app to find textbooks for classes are incorrect, and give you the wrong info for supplies youll need for that particular course. These are the little inconveniences that add up and make me want to drop out.

I love the bookstore but didnt get the best service at this visit so i was a little disappointed.

I love CNM. I originally enrolled in at UNM however I dropped out because I know with out a doubt Im the type person who be successful with out a college degree. Its all about work ethic, the sense that you are committed to a plan/hardworking and disciplined is what employers expect from a 4yr college graduate. However I believe the difference between me and any college graduate is the amount they spent in a university. After dropping from from UNM I became more open to career fields that are available without a degree but require more than just a high school diploma/GED. Looking for something that isnt a 40k a year 9 to 5 job. Thru the jobs search Ive done online I found that there plenty out there that just require a certificate or a couple semesters of training. Lucky for me CNM made it ez for me to apply online and register for classes the same day. And if I still wanted to enroll at a university in the future I can because most credit are transferable nationally (speak to your advisors for more info)Beautiful campus. And everyone is helpful they dont/will not speak to in any way disrespectful, most employees conduct themselves as if they are not here for the money. The employees/CNM are here for You. Its just a community college bookstore nothing special about it. Just local college stuff. Its clean, friendly people and big parking lot. And a near park too.

I dread coming here every year and having to deal with the attitude of the staff that shouldn’t have a job in customer service.

The building has no distinguish marks making it difficult to find. Ridiculous that the front parking spaces are metered, unnecessary. Students and staff not helpful

Polly the manager is the rudest person I have ever encountered! Rude and ugly demeanor! Literally belittled me and made my experience buying books and returning my book hell!If I can give less stars for this place I would!!! She should not be working with people! All I can say is KARMA!

Overpriced (as expected from any school bookstore)But majority of the time, staff acts bothered to help you.I left money on the desk for a Scantron because no one was there to help.

A really good place to get your books for school but do your homework and you can sometimes find them a little bit better or at cheaper prices than at the store otherwise staff is great and helpful

Why are all the older women who work there grumpy af all the time.

When you go inside the staff is extremely helpful but if you have to use the outdoor walk-up window to return books, it is the slowest line youll ever go through in all of New Mexico. They need to work on that.

You have to lock up your back pack up in a locker before you can enter the store. Also, bring a quarter to lock up said back pack.

I love CNM, but the books are super expensive.

If I could get away with never buying a textbook there again I would. The prices are always higher the management is always rude and they’ll purposely make it difficult to return if you had to drop the class. I tried to return my unopened text book with a receipt less than two weeks after purchase( the receipt said 30 days) and was refused saying I had to have bought it within two days or have returned it sooner.

Greatness starts somewhere and this place is a first step in that direction!
