Go here to be bent over. I witnessed the people fabricate issues so they could charge as much as possible. They said I required new pads and rotors on all 4 wheels and wanted $1000+. I said thats too much so its Oh, well we can just replace the pads for $500. I declined and went to get my car back, it was still on the lift with rear tires off and I got close enough to see the rotors were fine, they didnt need turning let alone replacement. I almost left 2 stars because the front desk guy kept his cool while I lost my s#!t, but after reflection I realize that just makes him the best con man in the place. Support your local independent mechanic instead, at least your dealing with a person with a soul.

Got my rotors resurfaced here. Great prices and the staff were friendly and out going. They also got the service done quickly and called me when the job was done.

Took my truck in after AutoZone showed a code saying ABS speed sensor shorted. They said nothing was wrong and they even decided not to charge me the 90$ diagnostic fee we agreed upon. The two guys I talked to were professional and knowledgeable. Daniel was one of them but I dont catch the front desk guys name

It took an hour and 45 minutes to do an oil change, and I had an appointment. I had asked for the free tire rotation and knew it wasnt done because I could see my car the whole time and no one touched the tires. When I asked I was told it had been done so I said I could see that it wasnt so they went into the garage and came back to assure me that it had been done. I hate being told a lie. Ill use jiffy lube next time.

Did a great job with my oil change. I had made an appointment the previous day. They got me on time and had me out and on the road in about 20 min. I have always had positive experiences with this store. Ill keep coming back!

My sister got an oil change from a different Brake Masters. When she got her car back the engine seized because they did not add any oil after draining the car the old oil. The car was then put in the responsibility of this brake master on Juan Tabo. it has been almost 5 month and the car is parked on a random road broken down. After getting the car back after brake master claimed they had replaced the engine, my sister has been back at least once a month if not more with issues to the car. She has been ignored talked down to and today told to get out of the store. The action and behavior of all of the staff at brake master is unacceptable from top to bottom. I would suggested going else where with your business.

On Saturday night my tires tread had peeled almost completely off and to add to my bad luck, it was also pouring. I asked a gentleman at the gas station to help me get the spare tire on. It was Francisco Maldonado, the assistant manager at this location. He was so helpful and kind during my time of desperation, he was truly a god send. Its hard to find good genuine people and based off this experience I can confidently say that your car is in good hands at this place! From this day moving forward, this will be the only place I take my car.

I took my brand new F-150 in to get leveling struts installed. Price was very fair and the work was accomplished quickly. Staff was very friendly and respectful even after I waited until the day of my appointment to reschedule due to weather concerns. Will definitely return in the future.

These guys are a joke! They Folded my cam gussets and still charged me for doing a half of an alignment. Now its going to cost me $550 to have new cam gussets installed. Dont waste your hard earned money on these people.

I went in two days ago to get my wheel bearing replaced It started squeaking right away as soon as I left the store and unfortunately I didnt have time to go get it fixed until this morning I go in and tell them what happened and this is after I paid $430 to get this fixed that they cannot fix it for free even though it is their fault and that my wheel bearing is about to pop my tire because how bad it is I recommend do not go here they will just make excuses why they can do anything to fix vehicles correctly

I took in our mini cooper for an oil change and while working on the oil change a part broke on the coolant hose. The staff at Brake Masters were up front about the broken hose and took responsibility for replacing the part which I know was costly. I am happy to say that even though it took longer to get the job done the repair was made after having to get the part from the mini cooper dealer and absorbing the cost. I am very pleased with their honesty and quality work. I have been taking our vehicles to brake masters for many years and this particular branch on Juan Tabo has always come through.

Doing preventative maintenance on my Toyota. Went to store #108 to get a radiator coolant flush. Had a $10.00 off coupon. While waiting the tech came to me and showed me two pieces of broken hard plastic and told me the connector broke when they took the hose off. Told me I needed a new radiator. They charged me $382.15 for the radiator and labor plus I paid 89.00 for the coolant flush. I feel that they were generating business. They broke the radiator and knew I could not drive the car without a radiator. I went in for preventative maintenance and I was had!! Dont use Brake Masters they are not honest.

Im impressed by the service this particular store provides. When I went inside the store a form was already pre-filled with information from our account, ready to be signed! Sean at the front desk looked it up as I pulled up to the parking lot. They diagnosed the car and found I did not need to have my brakes changed, so they cleaned it and put lube free of charge. Efficient and trustworthy. We definitely recommend this place!!

Everyone here was polite and helpful. I only went here because the person that I purchased my car from had his front pads and struts done at this brake masters 22K miles previously. I took it there because my brakes were squealing. Well, the pads they replaced just 22k miles ago, were 95% gone. Sure, I could get the $68 warranty pads for free, but still had to pay labor ($80). Why would I buy brakes from someone that installed brakes that lasted 22K miles? Of note, the previous owner was a 70 year old man, that drove mostly highway miles so it isnt like he was riding the brakes daily. Places like this always use the cheapest parts and do the simplest repair. Go to an independent shop that puts quality first (both in service and parts) and you should get at least 50k out of a brake job. You will pay twice as much or more but not have to worry about your brakes for years.

Went for a brake inspection. Sean at the front counter was extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I had unrelated to my vehicle, questions regarding another vehicle. He went above and beyond to furnish me with information. He took the time to research prices and parts online without me asking. I left Brakemasters with all the information I needed, including where to purchase part, price and description. I also received an estimate for installation. If I werent moving out of the state, I would continue my almost 30 year loyalty to Brakemasters for my auto needs.

IdiotsMy sister went in because her ford fusion brakes were soft and not right. So these guys deduced it was the master cylinder. 2 brand new master cylinders and 4 days later it still wasnt right. My father did a 10 MINUTE Google search and found that it was actually the brake modulator. These wonderful mechanics still charged her $400 for fixing nothing.Went to another brake masters, thank god that guy knew exactly what was going on.

This is the first one star I have ever worked for a company in any type of rating system as I am laid back, easy going, and reasonable person. the reason I leave such a low rating is due to the fact that this company has not only exceeded my understanding of negligence as well as being hostel and at best unhelpful. I got my oil changed and they forgot to reset the oil Gage which is understandable and they fixed when I brought it back. Then my car shut off and started smoking from under the hood. I went to open the hood and grab the pole to hold the hood open and was burnt due to the fact that they had left it unsecured and it had landed on the positive post of the battery. I have my car towed to Walmart to find out that the battery had been melted through by the metal of the post dripping into the battery and was lucky it somehow the battery was the only damage incurred. I contacted Brake Masters via phone and went down there shop only to be met with hostility and blame. After writing a detailed email to their corporate office specifically saying that I did not want to deal with their manager and would prefer that this location did not contact me. The next day I was called by the manager of this location with that very email in hand blaming me once again. I told him to forget about it and please not to contact me anymore only to be bombarded by phone call after phone call it was ignored. That was about two to three months ago and to this day I have still not gotten even as much as we hope you are ok.(which is not admitting guilt but just a human thing to do when somebody gets injured) I would highly advise if you are insistent on using Brake Masters that you try a different location. I have heard that the location on Coors and I40 is good as well as the one on San Mateo. I hope this review can save somebody else potential injury, money, or at the very least a headache.

I received friendly and prompt service at this location. I brought my vehicle in for an alignment due to some steering pull I was experiencing, as well as an oil change. I received a call from them saying they could not perform my alignment properly without a rear camber kit. While this may have been part of my alignment issue, it was not the underlying problem of my blown struts and motor mounts. This would be somewhat forgivable had I not also payed for the general inspection which should have revealed said strut and motor mount issues. Instead they tried to sell me on the camber kit which was not the answer to my problem. Why didnt they at least see the blown strut? They do shock and strut service and could have sold me on them! I wouldnt go to them for more than an oil change.

Upon arriving at this location I noticed the guys attempting to cat call... I got brakes and rotors from them a few years back and was going in to get them checked. They notified me I needed new brakes which I bought lifetime, so it shouldnt have cost me anything. Their quote came out to about 300 just for labor. I was not satisfied with this quote..In the meantime, the tech working on my car grabbed his crotch in the front and waves it toward another man. I told the manager, I would not want their services and to put my tires back on my car. To which the tech who grabbed himself was using an air tool to put my lug nuts back on and I was hearing him strip the bolt trying to put it back on. I voiced my concerns to the manager to which he replied, not hes not. I promptly took my vehicle home and checked this tire, sure enough, it was stripped. I called the store and talked to the manager. He wanted me to come back in so they could fix it. I never went. These people are incapable of putting a tire back on. Do not trust them to do any of your work. I called corporate to no avail. No call back. Completely unprofessional atmosphere.

Id been having issues with my brand new vehicle for a couple of months, before taking it to Brake Masters for an alignment. From my first phone call, the service I received there was literally the best Ive received anywhere! While waiting for my car to be done, I overheard multiple customers conversations with the gentlemen at the desk and every time I was impressed with how polite, respectful and honest they were with each customer. One gentleman in particular brought his car in for new brakes, and walked out not paying anything because the technicians were honest enough to tell him his brakes were fine!In my case, although my alignment (on my brand new car mind you) definitely needed work, the manager Chris recognized I only had 8k miles on my vehicle, and told me I could have taken it to the dealership to be aligned one time under my warranty. I was disappointed thinking I was going to have to pay around $80 for the alignment but figured that was my own fault for not knowing my warranty. Without me even asking, Chris was kind enough not to charge me, saying they should have noticed the mileage before doing the work.Like I said, Ive never received such great service and will definitely be taking my vehicle back there if it needs any service they do there!

WISH I COULD GIVE A NEGATIVE STAR......Horrible customer service.My husband went to change my brakes and came back 3 1/2 hours laterwith multiple complaints...charged more than the coupon price (of course), car just sat in the air with no one working on it (husband just watched them eat their burritos)..service tech who helped him had a bad attitude. Take your car somewhere that customer service is important!!!

Last week I went to Brake Masters to get my oil changed.I arrived and went up to the desk. The man there was professional. I gave him the key and waited.I noticed the oil change was taking a while so I walked outside to see how it was going. Then I see one of the technicians using a cold chisel and a hammer trying to remove the drain plug.While using the chisel and hammer my oil pan was dented and damaged.The manager came over to speak with me. The manager was professional, however, he was not quite as kind as his front desk associate. Also I got the impression that I may have never been informed about this if I did not walk outside. However, that is just speculation.In the end the manager replaced the oil pan and covered the costs for new front brakes. The manager covered nearly 800 dollars for the damage they caused and end some. Customer care is not all about smiles and pleasantries. They put their money where their mouth is and proved to me that they do actually care.I may suggest to the manager that his techs get some more training. This was not the first time his techs had a problem with my oil plug.So my final word would have to be that they that they made a mistake, but they did the honest thing and made their mistake right.

Breakmasters on Summer an Juan Tabo in the Albuquerque area...the assistant manager Francisco is an awful assistant manager. Rude like no other I have met. Went in to get a basic oil change and got ridiculed for wanting to use a coupon an asking a question about my brakes an the coupon which would save me 5$. Mind you I have been a customer since 2010 an never went to this location before to have my vehicles serviced. Theres more he ran on about with his mouth an awful sarcastic attitude but I dont care if its a penny its my penny Id save. No wonder there was no wait...hes bad for the company I say when he loses money for that company an belittles brake masters customers like hes owns that spot.

Took my sons vehicle to look at an overheating problem. They guys at brake masters really took good care of us and fixed our problem. Very honest and great work in a timely fashion.

I had an appointment at noon. Waited till 1 PM not any of the technicians were working and my car was not even looked at or inspected within the hour that Ive waited. The customer service was horrible when I asked what was going on they proceed to tell me Im next but Im not sure when next is. Then possibly a couple more hours for service. I stated the reason people make appointments is so they can be seen at their appointment time not first come first serve time. I scheduled an appt and took time off work for this Very reason. Thats why people make appointments. No apology was given and no explanation. The 2 people working seemed completely lost and who knows where the other technicians were. This place is a joke the management is obviously completely unaware of what a mess this place is. Do not waste your time here

Went to get the breaks changed with a coupon saying no hiden charges for 89.00$ well after they did the work the price came out to 130.00$... okay so showing up early and being the second person there you would think quick service right? Nope... 2 and half hours later they finally finished doing a simple break job. Dont waste your time or especially your money coming here...

Today I made the decision to give this location a third, and final chance at earning my business. Which is not very hard due to having realistic expections and knowing I am not the only customer that employees have to work with. My past 2 visits were nothing to be impressed with, as I took a notice to rude employees, minimal help from the front desk as to what services would be best for my vehicles, and also felt a sense of disregard due to me being a lone young woman. I decided today to take my car for a full service oil change. I arrived and spoke to an employee named Hector, I asked about my options as far as oils changes and said “Here.” Then placed a paper in front of me. So this was instance number one, no help and no information given verbally. I was expected to read service names and prices, with no info as to the differences in these options. I informed him that I had a coupon from Brake Masters website (which I use coupons from every time I need a service completed)& just was curious as to what services it included. He responded with, “I’ll take it this time, but next time you need to have it printed not on the phone.”. Keeping in mind that I often use Brake Masters coupons, I proceeded to take a look at the fine print and told Hector “thank you for honoring the coupon, but I might mention that there was no way to know on the coupon that it needed to be printed.” He looked at me, and mumbled under his breath. I was taken aback due to him responding so rudely especially because there were other customers waiting, it was embarrassing. I felt the need to politely speak up and let him know it was not okay with me to rudely start making up his own rules only because a “coupon” was mentioned. Before making the decision to get my oil change elsewhere, he handed me a paper that I was given with no clear instruction to either fill out, keep with me, or sign and told me it would be 45 minutes. He was unhelpful and unwilling to help. This store needs to get it together, and judging by reviews prior to mine I think it’s safe to assume that I’m not the only customer who has had negative experience(s). Not sure if the coupon needing to be printed was the store policy or Hectors policy, but getting my service done at Brake Masters Wyoming & Menual, i was helped by Chris and he did not even need to see the coupon on my phone and actually mentioned the coupon TO ME!! I will not be returning.

So slow. Dont leave your vehicle. If you do they wont get to it but take all of the other vehicles first. They keep saying an hour to two hours. I was here at 11. Every customer is gone and my car is still up in the air with no tech on it. Its 4:00 now. Dont go to this location.

I have had a transmission replaced in the last year, only to have it blow again. They would only give a 30 day warranty. So this time I took it to an actual transmission shop and they informed me that whoever installed the transmission broke the casing on installation and tried epoxy it back together. They have replaced the transmission 3 times for the same car.....wonder how many times it was actually their fault that I had to replace it again. Dishonest. I will never spend money there again but they have already made at least 9k off of me, so I am sure they dont care.

Consumer beware! They used regular oil on my husbands diesel truck and completely destroyed the engine. Now, even though we have an oil analysis and evidence from Rich Ford, Brake Masters refuses to do the right thing and fix the truck.What a shame. I had been taking my vehicles there for 18 years, so had my family. Now no one in our families will go there and I will strongly advise against anyone taking a vehicle to Brake Masters.

I only put 1 star because it wouldnt let me not rate it. Vince is very rude. He laughed when I called him out on being half ass and forgetting a cap for my antifreeze. Ive been there about 3 times and every time they dont notice something they should. Ill never go back even after a family member suggested them. I dont trust my car in their hands.

I had an issue where my tires were balding on the insides due to poor alignment. So I went to Brake Masters to fix this issue. Assistant Manager, Vincent Biancardi was very friendly and it seemed like he did his very best to negotiate a good deal. However, during the long process of waiting for them to get to my vehicle, I noticed that the customers around me had nothing good to say about the business. Things like: Ive been back to this shop over 4 times for the same issue, or These guys make more problems than they actually fix. Despite these concerns, I still held hope for their service; I wanted to believe in good work.As suspected, I am left disappointed in their quality of completed work.Overall, they did the alignment on my front wheels. Thus far, things have been good with that. However, the job rolled out of the shop incomplete. You see, they did the wheel alignment without aligning the steering wheel. Because of this, the steering wheel is cocked all the way to one side, thus making turn signals difficult to use. When I took the vehicle back in, the Assistant Manager told me that the mechanics did that to protect the wheels because it was badly out of alignment, which it was. He also said that the slight pull to one side would not effect the wear of the tires, which of course it doesnt. But once again, it prevents the use of certain safety features such as indicators from operating correctly and that is not okay, and just downright frustrating.The bottom line is this: BrakeMasters on Juan Tabo has friendly service, but their commitment to completed, quality work is slim to none.Thanks.

I am not a person who typically writes reviews for any business experience but, would be remiss if I failed to share this review with honest consumers of Albuquerque. My experience of incompetence, dishonesty and complete disregard for the customer requires sharing.The details of my experience are as follows: I contacted Cisco at the Juan Tabo BM location and scheduled a 730 a.m. appointment to have front axle brake pads replaced and rotors machined. (I had just had the car looked at and, was aware front brake pads needed replaced but, no additional items required - standard brake replacement.) Cisco had quoted me a reasonable price (129.00 one-year or 159.00 lifetime) so, I decided to have the work done. Upon arriving for my 730 appointment, Cisco was unable to find my appointment on the books and, I was treated poorly/ rudely for their failure to properly record the appointment and, was told: only have three mechanics....will do the best we can. VERY reluctantly at this point, I decided to leave the car. One and one half hours later, I received a call from Cisco stating not only do I need front brakes but, also need rear brakes (@ 30% I was told) and, rather than the 129.00 or 159.00 quoted, the same job would now run 189.00 per axle.Thoroughly disgusted and completely beside myself with this facility, I picked up the car and proceeded to another facility where, I had the work completed by an honest and reputable business. ***The second location replaced the front brakes AND, confirmed my rear brakes as having 75% remaining - not requiring repair at this time.BM Juan Tabo is a poorly run operation, shady in the way they attempt to upsell repairs and, a business of poor integrity. My best advice, do not patronize this business unless you enjoy being treated rudely, favor being implicated as ignorant, do not mind being lied to or, prefer paying for repairs you do not need.

I had issues when my front calipers locked, causing friction and excessive heating/smoking of the front calipers, rotors, pads, and wheels. This is a VERY unsafe condition to drive with. I took my vehicle in and Vince immediately assessed the problem of a cinched brake line cutting off the flow of brake fluid into and from the front driver side wheel. With a re-setting of the caliper, which straightened the brake line, and a brake fluid flush, I was in and out in under an hour for a very reasonable price. Hopefully I dont need any brake service any time soon, but if I do, this place tops the list of places I would take my vehicle. Great job, guys.
