I took my car there and spent $4000. Two weeks later the paint started peeling throughout the entire car. I spoke to manager and he did not warranty their work. They lied and said I was told that the entire car needed to be sanded down to metal before painting. So why did they paint car if they knew paint would not adhere? The pics are only shows one side of the car but the whole entire car is peeling. Beware and do not take your vehicle to get painted at the Maaco on McLeod. They take no responsibility for their horrific work. I am moving to California and sold the car for cheap because it’s value tremendously decreased after painting.

I went here cause the reviews seemed decent but Im not sure how. I used to paint cars and just needed a sun damaged portion of the roof touched up.Was given very round about answers from a kid who didnt even seem old enough to be working there. Came in after doing an online estimate for an exact quote and was told I couldnt get an exact quote which I find strange.Does this business expect people to agree to pay for something when they dont know how much its going to be?Would not recommend at all, find another place locally

I am very happy with the work they did and am grateful to them for getting my car back to me as quickly as possible. Thank you for the great service!!

I received a masked employee curbside estimate on time (I had an appt) and within 15 minutes total. I asked for 3 different kinds of estimates and they gave me all 3 in writing to take with me. I chose the most comprehensive one and made an arrangement to drop off the following monday. I dropped it off on time and they processed me promptly. I was told it could be 3 to 5 days. I was having a lot of work done. Hood and right quarter panel stripped and repainted, all dings touched up, front bumper cover replaced, with it painted to match, on a Honda Odyssey 2016. Cost was 1700 which includes a 4 year warranty on the paint job. I went with Maaco because of the warranty and because it has a good national reputation. Van was ready Friday morning and I drove by to pick up the key so I could arrange pick up after they closed. They let me inspect the vehicle before I signed anything. My van is now astonishingly shiny due to the clear coat they refreshed, and all dings are re painted with no visible paint lines. The only over spray I detected on the entire vehicle is a tiny blob of paint next to the keyhole on the driver door which I can certainly live with! My only complaint which is minimal (and is discussed in the warranty brochure) is there are about 8 or 10 pieces of grit under the paint job on the hood and quarter panel. You can see it up close and run your hand over it and feel it, but from 3 away you cant even tell it its there. I didnt even notice it until I got home. Its painted over so its very minimal. I am not going to complain about it. I wont even notice it in a week or 2. Because the hood and quarter panel had been painted by a previous owner, it was not shiny. Now it is luminous with a deep rich quality to the paint that was not there before. All in all I highly recommend Maaco on McLeod in Albuquerque!

Maaco location left a great deal of dust and blemish spots on a Mercedes bumper I had them paint and repair. Excuses were: bumper was dirty, dust and debris happen, look at how dirty the bumper was... All excuses of doing a poor paint job, all can be mitigated if their employees are efficent and not lazy - like actually cleaning the bumper, and the proper use of the clean room.they should use, and proper paint spray nozzle maintenance ( I also paint, just needed them to help cause I was pressed for time) no offer accommodate, at least there is a warranty available for any possible peeling or chipping as a result of the poor paint job.

My husband and I took our 2012 Chevy in to get body work and paint done. When I first went in I explained to the kid who was helping me exactly what we wanted. When our truck was done the body work was great however the paint job had orange peel on the lower part of the truck all the way around. At this point we were told that we didn’t go with a higher end paint. Even though when I went in I clearly stated I wanted the truck back to its original state as if I just purchased it. At this point we had to have it repainted at a much higher price. I’ve had the truck back now for about a month and a half and have been hearing a bad rattle. We thought one of the backs seats was loose and needed to be tightened. After checking that that was not the case. We were putting gas in a few days ago and noticed the bed of the truck moves after getting under there and looking they did not secure the bed. The lack of them properly checking this could have caused some serious issues or someone to be hurt. I’m highly disappointed with the service from this location. Customer Service is awful and it’s apparent they don’t take pride in their work. I would not recommend this location.

Wow! what a paint job! Mike, Brenden, Billy and crew did a fantastic job on My Dodge 2500! They did more than i asked them to do without any extra charge....painted the bed white after i had prepped it for a rhino coat. Now, ive decided to leave it white. They fixed the gas tank receiver and put a nice touch by painting the gas cap cover black. The area between the cab/bed looks like they actually removed the bed to spray, but what once was black now looks solid white. Good job! The body work look immaculate. What a transformation! A little disappointed with the outcome. I let Macco know that they could take their time with the repair. So after about a month in repair I expected a very good outcome. I even asked the person I spoke with if he would be inspecting my truck before it got paint. And he said he would. Since lve had it back I noticed 2 to 3 dents that didnt get taken care of. And one them is very obvious. The paint quality seems good and the big repairs were done well. I have had vehicles repaired and painted by Maaco before without issue. Since I plan to keep my truck indefinitely, Im a little disappointed with some of the smaller dings and dents that were missed.

I wouldnt recommend this company to anyone! I had my 1965 Mustang painted at 1-Day Paint and Body. I received a 5 year warranty and spent the additional money to get their best paint job (same situation that Maaco now provides). They didnt prep the car correctly, they missed an entire area and the paint started to chip along the seams within a few days. Because this was a complete restoration, I wasnt able to get the car back to the shop the next week. Maaco acquired 1-Day Paint and Body shortly there after (even incorporating both brands in the signs originally). When I asked about the warranty purchased, they stated were under no obligation to honor the 1-Day Paint and Body warranty. Same people, same techs...I didnt expect Maaco to do the job their facility was originally hired to do but I did feel that because they they would at least try to make it right...discount for a new paint job, anything! They didnt even respond accordingly and provided only the crap that they dont need to honor the warranty of the company they purchased! So I spent $5000 at an alternative shop. They had to correct all of the mistakes on the paint done only a few months earlier. The company, in general, appears to have poor customer service and supports the crap quality work of the techs...if this is a reflection of what to expect, buyer beware!

Painted my vintage motorcycle sheet metal parts for around $700. The paint job looked nice but not perfect. What got me was that they didnt paint the under sides of the fenders or insides of the side covers. The reasoning was that Its difficult to paint the undersides. I dont mind paying a little more ($700 was more to me) but would have thought the job would have been complete. I guess Ill have to deal with a possible rust situation later.

I would not take another car to them. They did additional work past what the insurance allowed without permission from myself or my husband. I can take partial blame for the misunderstanding on having them do the alignment. However they never called and updated us before doing the work like we asked. They wanted $107 to give me my car back. Mike was nice and worked with my husband and agreed on $44. When we went to pick up my car the back bumper did not seem aligned properly. My husband and Mike agreed that it looked fine and I said ok. Mike said bring it back if needed. I went to get in the car and the inside was covered in paint dust. The door panel was pulled apart. When I dropped the car off it had a full tank of gas. Picking it up it was under 3/4 full with 53 miles unaccounted for. Mike was willing to talk to me and clean it up. However his brother Billy decided it was appropriate to step up and get in my face. I asked him twice to get out of my face. He cussed at me then asked my husband if he was in my face. When my husband said yes you got in her face Billy started cussing at him. Totally unprofessional on an owners part. Billy accused me of taking apart my own door panel and putting the dust on my seat. Mike tried to fix it the best he could. However I will not suggest anyone taking anything to them due to Billy. If you dont like his work he gets aggressive and abusive. When I posted this review on their Facebook page I got a nasty response that did not address Billys behavior. I got accused of slamming my door and making my own door panel come apart. They have proof of mileage now but couldnt come up with it when I was standing there. Furthermore there were food wrappers stuffed in my console that I didnt find until I was looking for an appointment card that also happens to be missing. So someone was eating in my car which I dont do or allow. I also have proof of mileage but cant prove if Maaco or the sub contracted shop added the miles. One of the two shops intentionally removed my oil change sticker because they ran the car passed the oil change. Its amazing that they pass themselves off as professional but cant be bothered to cover the seats. I still have paint sanding dust embedded in my seats. I would really discourage any female from taking their car their because of Billy. He scared me to the point I was afraid for my safety. The really sad thing is the actual work to the back bumper and drivers side back quarter is flawless. If it wasnt for Billy I would take it there to have a dent on the roof that was there when I bought the car fixed. I would bet money the paint will be just as flawless at the five year warranty mark. I am also almost positive that Maaco did not put the mileage on or eat in my car but their subcontractor did. There is no remedy for the mileage and I will have to do the best I can with a vacuum and air hose to get the dust out of the seats. Its really too bad that bad customer service will ruin the talent these guys have for fixing cars.

Maaco of Albuquerque and junk yard dogs.I had my Bronco painted at Maaco of ABQ and I talked directly with Mike which is one of the owners. We walked around my Bronco together and I explained what needed to be painted and this included the interior and exterior of the tailgate. Mike gave me a bid that included an extra $200 for size fee from the advertised price and $100 to paint the tail gate jams. I thought the size fee was excessive because they were not painting the topper. I also thought the $100 to paint the jams was too much. I agreed to the size fee but told Mike I would paint the jams myself.I went to pick up my vehicle a week later and the interior panel of the tailgate was not painted. I brought this to the attention to Mike and he refused to take responsibility for the oversight. We went into the office and Bill the other owner got involved and they both said the tail jam is part of the interior tail gate. This was rediculous and they wanted $100 to paint the interior panel. I thought this was unfair especially since this was part of the requested work on the original bid. I offered them $50 additional to paint the tailgate to meet them half way and resolve this issue. They said no and offered a $20 discount on my $723 bill and a sandwich. I refused and went back to work without paying their price or recovering my Bronco. Later that day Bill emailed me and offered the same thing and said that if I didnt accept his terms he would start charging me a storage fee.My point is, the owners behave like a couple of junk yard dogs and I do not recommend them.Dan
