Horrible communication. I called the store multiple times with no one returning my calls. The sales manager never responded to my emails or text messages about the parts that were supposed to be ordered when I bought the bike. The parts were on back order but no one would return my call or text when I would ask for an update about the parts. I bought a brand new bike and there are broken parts on the bike and loose parts even though it went through inspection before buying. They told me my brake light was broken and their tech is new and not comfortable fixing that. I will NEVER do business with them again and I will be telling everyone I know not to do business here. Absolutely horrible.
This appears to be a fake business. The people that work there will barely look your way…they didn’t even offer to turn the LIGHTS on, in the only room that had any inventory to speak of. When you try to get information of any variety…they shrug their shoulders… that’s it. No exchange of information. Don’t waste your time… they won’t speak to you, let alone help you. I think someone needs to start investigating this fake biz. Maybe there is criminal activity going on there… they definitely aren’t selling motorcycles.
Honestly worst dealership I’ve ever worked with, we moved into the state and was interested in talons, the sales representative Ceaser barely even batted an eye towards us resulting in us buying a Can am from someone else. We were interested in a 4-wheeler and stopped by hoping we would get a better service and yet again Ceaser barely talked to us for a few minutes and just said “leave you’re number and we will call you” about 6 months ago. Finally we went to get a small dirt-bike for my nephew and Ceaser was no where to he found. They told me he was running late, after waiting for a hour I was told that he could talk to me on the Ducati side, well Ceaser was quick to tell us he isn’t available for a few HOURS ! and he’ll give us a call ASAP, that was 3 days ago. Honestly for anyone else interested to do business with this establishment, DONT unless it’s you’re absolute last choice because this place is all around horrible. They have easily lost over $40k alone from just our business.
Salesman ignored us and went off to talk to people that showed up after us. Bought 2 motorcycles from them before guess Ill go elsewhere. Edit: Went to R&S Wyoming much better experience just go there instead of wasting your time here.
Experienced what a large number of reviewers had previously mentioned. Salesperson here wouldn’t even see me because, I was told ‘Honda Financing’ was down for the day....the parts counter guy then apologized for sales in a not so direct manner. I was a cash buyer and didn’t bother to tell them since they already made up there minds. I’ll head over to Ratón based on a previous review.
We purchased our dirt bikes from Cesar Hidalgo at Motovento after speaking with him and Rob Lundy on a few occasions. Both gentlemen were very kind, helpful, and forthright. Cesar’s patience was refreshing while happily answering all our questions and addressing our concerns. There was never any sales pressure, and he didn’t play any games when it came to cost. Cesar was fair and immediately gave his best deal. Cesar and Rob were always patient and thoughtful with my family, even when our kids had questions about the dirt bikes. Because of this, we will absolutely return!
I was in the market to purchase a brand new Honda XR650L. Im not going to name my salesman as this review reflects my own personal opinion about the entire dealership. Going in I sat on the bike and advised that this would be a cash purchase. I asked my salesman if I could hear the bike start. He said that the bike was not ready to start as it had a carburetor (not injected), and did not have gas. The salesman left me for a little while to check out the bike and when he came I asked him if I could see the bike just in the on position with the lights on. He said the battery was dead and shook his head. He finally decided to get the key for me. When he walked away I noticed that the bike did in fact have gas in the tank. He came back with the key and the battery was not dead. He cranked over the bike and it didnt start at first. He said that service would have to check it out. He rolled the bike out the front door and around the back of the building. At first I didnt follow but then decided to go and see what they were going to do to get it running. I witnessed the salesman on the sidewalk in the back of the building cranking over the bike in a futile effort to start it. He saw that I was now watching him and decided to push the bike into the shop. Another team member came out and started the bike without any tools. I cant understand why he was so mysterious about starting the bike and not wanting to really help me. Anyway I found the same exact bike brand new at R&D Honda in Raton New Mexico for hundreds cheaper (no freight/setup charges). If youre looking for a new Honda call R&D to compare for yourself. Ask for Blaine and tell him I sent you. He will make it worth the drive trust me...
Rob knows his stuff very well, his knowledgeable and helpful also! Good shop, good location and Honda and Ducati products.
The staff here are really friendly and knowledgeable about the products that they sell. As in all sales environment they will try to up sale you on their products and services, but they are not overly pushy about it. Its always fun to stop by just to check out the latest models of motorcycle and other toys.
Cant get any help. Staff is rude
I bought new tire and as a warranty on tire i just get a valve stem back.... and i have to manage to get it installed by another shop even though i drove half an hour to get there. Verry disapointed... after i have bought most of my parts and bikes here. Cost valve stem $1. Parts purchased too many
Unfortunately there is a limited supply of most models at this time..(at, utv..etc.).Took a business card, but it might be weeks. Not exactly the stores fault, but certainly garnished the experience. 🤔
Went in to buy a Honda side by side. We waited for 20 minutes, no one acknowledge us, very poor customer service.
We decided to buy a 4 wheeler and went there because reviews of ATVs said Honda was the best and then Yamaha. We found the ATV we wanted, but when I asked the salesman how long it would last-- he said about 5 years which is why I strongly recommend the extended warranty. This confused me since the Yamaha guy said they last almost forever and buy the warranty if I preferred but mostly with a Yamaha it isnt need. When I told the salesman that he said well probably not with a Yamaha, but this is a Honda. Looks like we will by buying a Yamaha.
I dropped by on my Honda to see what is new at the Honda shop! They had a few of the Monkeys so Joe Roberts gladly pulled one out for me to take around the block, no pressure! Although the Monkey did not live up to my vision, Joe did a great job making sure I was always welcome back to give any bike a try. A great experience!
My wife and I wanted an ATV for the summer. Cesar Hidalgo was patient and helpful throughout the entire experience. He explained the differences in models, then let us take our time with the final decision. We went with the 4X4 Honda rancher 420. Cesar Hidalgo went above and beyond to help us. We are both veterans, and he showed the max amount of love. I recommend all Veterans in New Mexico hit up Cesar Hidalgo at Honda Powersports Albuquerque!
Had a friend there who got a motorcycle there was very fast we almost died
I went to this store yesterday. The older guy at the counter never even acknowledged me or spoke. As a matter of back, he looked at me like I had the plague. Could it have been my skin color?! Chilly reception and nothing friendly or inviting about this establishment. Stay away.
Worst place. Very unfriendly. Won’t work on bikes older than 7 years
This is one great motorcycle dealership. Every time I go into this dealership, I am greeted by Joe, who is an exceptional sales person. Never high pressure, never using all the tricks of the trade to get you to commit now. Just friendly customer service and knowledgeable answers.Joe lets you demo almost anything in the dealership without ever making you feel obligated to purchase anything. A very unique and wonderful Honda Dealership.Just going into the dealership is fun. The motif is retro and nice. They have all of the models and some accessories.Like I said, a great dealership for motorcyclists. Makes you feel at home.I am a BMW rider. But, because of Joe and the dealership, I always strive to find a Honda that will suit me. They are that good.
Waited for over 2 hours with no help, brought cash to buy 2 brand new bikes as well as a uhaul from Santa Fe and the only person in the building claimed there was no sales person for over 2 hours, never got to speak to anybody, nor a explanation, had cash in hand, and because I think I’m a young black male I was discriminated against in my opinion, will never buy another Honda because of this experience and I’m glad I didn’t use my 10,000$ at this business, Left my name and number NEVER received a call back, I though Honda would do better than this but at this point to me it’s the metro pcs of cars 🤷🏽♂️
This place is a joke along with the salespeople. Thank god the salesman was so rude we didnt waste money there. On to a different dealership. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
Nobody came out to help. When we did find someone, we asked how much something was. They said that was sold. And they never showed us anything else. So we walked out. We were ready to buy 2 atv. And they didnt get our business.
They charged me registration fees but never registered the motorcycle I paid cash for. When I went to the MVD and the lady reviewed the paperwork that is when she brought it to my attention. My lack of knowledge and experience was exploited by this business that I trusted to treat me fairly. I have since traded that bike up for a Ducati and I wanted to take it to a Ducati dealer for maintenance but this being the main one in town I chose another place.
Called to see if they sold or rented chain breakers. The man on the phone said no and thanks and then hung up on me. They can eat their product line for all I care. I will never give them my business.
I purchased an Africa Twin from these guys in September of 2017. They made the process as easy as can be. They have made multiple special orders for me, and even included a 20% discount on OEM Honda parts. These guys have gone above and beyond to give me great customer service. I will be buying my next bike from them.
Wanted some information and like the product they were talking about. Well see if I dont like something better at a different place.
Im not sure about the other reviewers experiences, but we found Joe and Randy to be friendly and attentive. We came in to look at a scooter and Joe was very good at explaining the different models, features, etc. They were very low-key and non-pushy when it comes to sales, which was nice. Joe pulled the two models we were interested in out front and handed us the keys for a test-ride. When it came time to decide, he explained the purchase options and worked with us on a deal. For us, the sales end was just how we liked it. I cant speak about the service department, but the complaints I read about sound like the same things I hear about car mechanics. Sometimes you get a good one, sometimes not so much.
Worst Honda Dealer in the country.... tried buying a bike cash at asking price and denied me because they closed in 30 minutes
I guess I can understand what some of the reviewers are saying that you dont feel welcomed and all but each time I have gone in they have greeted me. When I bought my CBR300 there none of the guys pressured me into buying and kept it very neutral.I took it in a few months ago for a recall issue and had it ready for me the next day. They did only put oil up to the minimal line when I got it back though but I do oil changes myself and I actually have to go buy more oil from them too today.Overall I have had good experiences with them.
Got a good deal on my Kymco Like 200i scooter from these guys, and Ive had good experiences with them ever since. The oil changes and check-up maintenance Ive had done there has been great, and I was able to get my bike checked out fairly quickly when I had an emergency. Joe and Randy have been really great to me and attentive when Ive come in to look at new bikes. Looking forward to getting a motorcycle from them soon.
Their customers service is amazing. Brought my ducati 821 into them. They made sure I left happy. I would recommend them to anyone.
Watch out for the fees, these guys will give you a good price and take it all back in delivery and setup fees (and over priced registration/licensing fees). Get those numbers first, you will find that the pricing is half that from other retailers.
Was looking for a UTV, found one online they were advertising. Salesman said the price wasnt written in stone and to come on in. Went in, test drove two models and decided on the base version. Was very upfront and said I want the price advertised on the site out the door, none of bs they try to add on. He did the typical refusal to give a price and insisted we throw out the first number( had already told him what we were willing to pay). We went ahead and gave him another price, which was under the sticker price. There was no back and forth, no let me check, just said nope, cant do it, and got up and walked away.Remember, we were willing to pay the price on the sticker, just not the dealers fees. Salesman was rude, arrogant and unprofessional and we will never do business at that place.Luckily it worked out, ended up getting a deluxe out of state for about 500 more than what they were asking with all the fees thrown in, thats including what I spent in gas picking it up and taxes. Out of state dealer had no problem waiving all the dealer fees.
I submitted my credit application online and then got a call from Honda Powersports with my payment amount and to answer any questions. Delivery was sign and go, taking less than 20 minutes and the payments were exactly as promised on the phone. I will definitely buy from them again.
Recently bought my second Ducati from the team at Ducati Albuquerque and Honda Powersports. The new bike is awesome, and the team took great care of me. I had to wait for just the right bike, but it was so worth it. My thanks to Carlos, Cesar and the team. I couldnt be happier! Thank you!
Great people to know when you need motorcycle parts & repairs
The moment I walked into the store I wasnt greeted at all by either of the two gentlemen that were working. I asked them about any rrs they might have and wash quickly brushed off so they could continue browsing the Internet. After about 45 minutes of being ignored I asked if they could help me and they never went onto the show floor to assist me in deciding which motorcycle would suit me best. After that terrible experience I promptly left. I walked into the dealership ready to buy a motorcycle but I left disgruntled and upset. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on.
Parts manager is amazing and always willing to help. Entire staff is phenomenal, would recommend to anyone.
This was my first ever deal with a dealership. I have never bought anything from one before. I had been saving up for a Grom, went down and bought it cash a couple weeks ago. The listed price on craigslist was 2999, and I got it for 3500 Out the Door. This is a traditional dealership and will try to get every last cent of cash out of you (service fees, prep, documentation fees, other nonsense), but such is capitalism. If you come prepared to walk away without a motorcycle, youre golden. They really want that sale here. They gave me some straps for free as well after I bought the bike. The only reason for not 5 stars is the odd situation I had with the Manufactures Certificate of Origin. The day I bought the bike, an employee told me the MCO would arrive in the mail in 4 days. I called a week later, and the same employee told me that the MCO would actually take about 30 days to arrive. I got the impression that the employee didnt really know what was going on with my MCO. Seeing as I wanted to avoid extra MVD fees, I called another employee, who did not answer at first. I left a message, and the next day I received a call from her saying the MCO was sent out that day. Seems like the left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing as far as MCOs and checks clearing, but I have my MCO in my hand, so its all good. Also, I felt that the salesman did an excellent job. He even helped me load the bike into my van after the deal was done.TLDR: a decent first buying experience. I would recommend going to this dealership, but be aware of the service fees, prep, documentation fees, etc. They will try to turn you upside down and shake you out for those extra pennies.
I will echo TMNTs sentiments. In January I went to look at the 1000 Pioneers and found a 2018 model that I wanted to purchase. I asked the salesperson to call me back with in all in price so that I could determine whether or not I should finance or pay cash. After not hearing a response, I called back a week later and received a response that he hadnt received a response yet, but would follow up. Never heard a word.Today, I walked in expecting to obtain the all in purchase price of the 2018 model they have on sale, because Im expecting to make a purchase this weekend. Unfortunately, the same sales person I met back in January seemed mostly annoyed, but couldnt have acted any less interested in earning my business. Im not sure if I interrupted his lunch hour, or if they just sell so many that they can treat their customers like theyre doing them a favor by talking to them, but good luck begging them to sell you anything.
Great prices nice staff quality vehicles
Good business thank you will be in to buy another bike
Well I bought a motorcycle from here. Soon after had a issue with a bolt. Joe tried to help by getting the part and said they would replace it. So I said the only time I could do it was on a Saturday, he ok. When I got ready to do it Randy I spoke to Mgr said they could not do it on a Saturday, and after telling him what Joe said he said it didnt matter. Then ask to speak to the owner, he said good luck with that, its not like he cares about the company. The only words is WOW. Ive tried to contact the owner myself and to my surprise Randy was right. Carlos Garcia doesnt care about is company he has not responded to my emails calls or messages for the past 5 weeks. Do not shop here or any Garcia Company in New Mexico
Im from Arkansas and my 2017 Africa Twin will hit the 600 mile mark when I drive through Albuquerque. Called the dealership to schedule an appointment and, since I had not read the manual and did not know what was needed, asked them for what was involved and a quote. Around $300 dollars and a couple of hours. I just checked the manual and all I need is an oil and filters (DCT model) change. Here in AR it costs around $60 with labor and parts. In case you are wondering that maybe they misunderstood, I was surprised by the amount and talked about it with the service desk person. He told me I needed to have all bolts tightened, spokes adjusted, spark plugs checked and other things he wasnt sure about. I will not be showing up for my appointment. This was so blatantly a rip-off attempt of someone from out of town and with poor knowledge that I am writing this review so that all Albuquerque area residents should be aware of the poor ethics and practices of this stealership.
Recently I had to bring in my brand new 2018 Vespa GTS 300 in for warranty work due to a malfunction with my speedometer . Vespa would not honor my warranty and needless to say, I was extremely upset. Vespa’s definitely aren’t cheap and you don’t expect to have something of the quality of this brand of scooter to malfunction with only five months of ownership and have to pay out of pocket.Ultimately Garcia Honda Powersports made it right and paid for the warranty work themselves even when they didn’t have to . I was extremely impressed by their professionalism and their eagerness to serve me as their customer. Most companies in the situation would just tell their customers to pound sand but they went over and above to make it right and they did a good job. I’m very grateful for their excellent customer and willingness to offer a solution. Everybody from the manager to the gentleman working behind the counter were very good and I’ll be using the primarily for my motorcycle cycle services. I need to mention see “Pete” when you go to buy a bike. He spends a lot of time helping to answer your questions.David K
Be careful, they will add hundreds of $ to the sale price and hide document fees on bottom of invoice.
They kept my Goldwing for 6 weeks and couldnt find the electrical issue. I took it home and had a friend look at it. (It was the battery) Dont bother taking your motorcycle here to get fixed.
Great staff friendly easy going relaxed always willing to work with you and get you anything you need
Nice they close when people dont work and can actually go.
Like one of the other reviewers said, they rather sit behind the computer and on their cell phone then get on the showroom floor to help an customer. Was thinking about buying a bike here with cash but Ill take my business elsewhere.
Absolutely worst place in Albuquerque staff has no knowlwdge about atvs took my bike in for simple break job took 4 weeks and got my bike back in worse shape than when i took it in they left the key on and my battery died so i had to buy a new one for 112 dollars my breaks seemed like they didnt even get touched same exact problem happen with in 5 minutes of riding very horrible experice i will never deal with this place again. I am warning all of you atv oweners. DO NOT TAKE YOUR BIKE TO THIS SHOP FOR SERVICE. GO TO HONDA ON WYOMING OR J AND D CYCLE
...seemed that they couldnt give a rat crap about my wanting to buy a Candy Red Goldwing w/ABS. What they said in a nutshell was that I would have to wait until June 2016...this was on April 3rd. I went home, called as many dealers as I could find in New Mexico, Texas, Arizona and Utah. I found the exact 2016 GoldWing at Honda World in Salt Lake City. I rented a U-Haul motorcycle trailer and drove up there the very next day, April 4th. On April 5th, I dealt with the best dealership I have ever encountered in 40 years. I bought the machine. I trailered it home to the Albuquerque area, got it registered and insured. Ive been riding every day since. These guys, here? Wait til June..., man. They must be doing quite well for themselves. They seem not hungry to assist at all. They lost my business forever.
I have waited 5 months for my vehicle registration due to careless mistakes made on paperwork. It happened on my title application and financing application. Followup by employees is almost non-existent. I would not recommend shopping here to friends or family.
Great people with great products !
I HAVE 1986 honda vt700 PROBLEMS WITH IT AND FOR TWO MONTHS I TALKED WITH ERIC OVER THOSE TIMES AND HE HELPED ME OVER THE PHONE SO YOU ERIC AND THE STORE GET FIVE STARS FROM ME
Seemed friendly. Need to test drive.
No sales person came out
Had everything I needed this time.
Great guys!
