I absolutely love this Asian (mostly) market and now shop here fairly often. The business appears to be thriving because the store always seems busy every time I visit. Talin has become my go-to for items such as hot teas, rice, sake, spicy Korean dumplings, and red bean ice cream which is absolutely delicious but hard to find. Thankful that Talin Market always has it. Their green tea ice cream is surprisingly tasty, too. The last time I visited I was able to find the ingredients to make Pad Thai at home. It turned out delicious. Pretty cool how they have each aisle dedicated to a different city such as Beijing, Tokyo, Bangkok, and Hanoi to name a few. Besides Asian places they do have aisles dedicated to Milan as well as New Orleans. Some items can be a little pricey but you know its the real deal and is imported from across the world. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. There is ample parking. I highly recommend Talin Market. You should check it out.
We stopped in here two years ago, they were remodeling, but they still seemed to have their act together. Stopped again today. Remodel pretty complete, it is a well stocked Asian store.Even had the tea I was looking for. Prices were fair and all of the product looked fresh. Store is clean, and all of the staff we interacted with were most pleasant.
The first place Ive gone to in weeks that asked me to put on a mask. I found that annoying. I went for one thing: fresh ghost peppers. They had ghost peppers, 3-4 in a small container for $10/container. Very high price for something very close to spoiling. So for the first time ever, I walked out of Talin without spending a dime.
Its hard to find a place in Albuquerque that has a produce selection quite like this place this place. I usually go here to buy Ginger root and its the most amazing fresh and juicy Produce I have ever had. There are amazing things from all over the world and and readily available. I would say as an English speaker I have some difficulty navigating around its navigating around labels that are not written in English. The staff is all over the place and able to help you understand what youre looking for and guide you to getting things that you cant find. This is the best place to go for rice, Varieties of tea, Varieties of saki, And all of the elements and ingredients you might ever need to make your own Asian food at home. I love this place and well go there again and again
Im doing this review just for everyones awareness for this product. Beware of this product (refer to the photo)as it will be charged by pounds not by pack and will be weighed while ice block frozen. $40 just for 3 packs of these, $13/lb while the 1 whole unfrozen milk fish just cost us $6.55. 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
Market is big and spacious, Lots of different items available for various countries. Their prawn 🍤was so fresh. Unfortunately, I bought some other perishable products like okra, green chili which didnt sustain within 2 days, although product expiration date was atleast 10 days left.
Most dirty nasty place I have seen. Food on floor smells bad totally disgusting. Go somewhere else
Nice. Really large. Lots of stuff. The people who work there are real nice. No weird smells. Like most foreign food grocery stores where Ive been.
In any community, especially one so diverse as Albuquerque, you really are anxious to find a good international market. Talin Market does not disappoint! They have everything. I was pleasantly surprised by how well stocked they are. Staff is friendly and helpful. Absolutely a regular customer for me. Highly recommended!
I love the selections and staff is always friendly. If you go earlier in the day youll find better stocked shelves. And thats not a diss this store is just that busy and popular that things get picked up pretty quick. Theres something for everyone to try, from various regions to sweet and savory. Maybe the only thing lacking is delicious Ukrainian treats but I know which European stores to hit up for the few things I can not find here.
I love going to Talin as it helps me create many delicious Asian and Indian dishes. They have products there from Japan, Vietnam, China, Philippines, India and more! They have dry, bottled and frozen goods and a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. They also have a small selection of hispanic goods. Its just a fun store to look in and walk around. Staff is always helpful and happy to help you. Thanks Talin...
I was mistaken for someone else and asked to leave the store. Shocked! I shop there to buy bamboo and they had maybe a handful in stock and raised there prices dramatically!
Large, funky retail store featuring mostly Asian pre-packaged foods and condiments. Awesome selection of bulk rices as well as select cooking utensils. Not a great selection of European goods, though.Doubles as a quickie cultural experience as well.
Talin is fabulous if you have about 2 hours on your hands. If you dont and youre looking for something specific youll just be frustrated. They have it, but finding it is such a chore. I love coming here and finding new things. But I hate how much work it is to find something specific. Part of me wishes theyd arrange it differently, the other part of me loves how it is. So there you go.
Wonderful variety of foods from all over the world. Each isle is a different countrys best food items. Its a great place to culture your self and challenge you to a new type of food, cooking and tradition...check it out if you can!
Find foods, spices, drinks, and frozen goods from various countries (eg Egypt, Korean, Thai, etc). A bit pricier than similar stores but well organized and tends to be stocked. Highly recommend
This an exciting place to go to in the means of an Asian market place with a very extensive variety of foods from some far away countries and if somewhere that you can find many hard to find items that a sold no where else. The people are friendly and helpful when asking for the delicies and more common items they can provide.
They got the sauce! They have the rice! They have everything you need to start your own authentic cooking right at home, for every nationality you can think of. Explored my pallet here! Their Hi-chews are real day changers you must try a bag! Kiwi candy is everything!
Talin was good. Aome of the shelves were bare. I went in search of miso and I was delighted to find more like chickpea flour and red lentils. It was nice!
I really like this place. You can find items here that you would not be able at other markets. The staff is very helpful and the prices are really reasonable. They have really good market for sea food too. Yummy stuff people. You need to stop by and shop here! 😊Geoffrey.
Decent Asian market with relatively decent selection of Asian food items though fresh produce is limited.Wheres the staffers??Food court is open only on Fri-Sat from 4p-7p.Servicing size of dad Dan noodles was adequate and pork belly mini bun was also good. Thai ice tea was too sweet so youll need to dilute with water.Large parking lot is in front. Youll need to get a key for the bathrooms in the rear food court area.
Grew up shopping here. Great things to offer as always. People are nice. Wish they didn’t down size as much as they did and that they’d bring back the accessories store but still going to frequent here.
Ethnic food from many different countries.. We love this store. Great place for Asian and Indian foods and sauces and fresh produce.
All of the isles here are listed by region instead of product so, not only do you have to know what your looking for but also where its from. I do love the old asian market feel of the place.
They need more variety of frozen noodles and spaces, it would be nice of they can sell all the food over in a 7 eleven in Tokyo Japan a lot more variety
This place is amazing. There’s a lot of different international groceries lots of Asian stuff!!
My favorite place to try snacks and drinks from different countries! It has also been the place I was able to find glutinous flour for Bua Loy.
We loved the city by city themed aisles. It was fun to explore and see stuff you dont find elsewhere. Unfortunately a lot of stuff seemed understocked and disorganized. Sad to see that the dining areas are still closed, presumably due to the pandemic. The eggs we bought were delicious! Hope to see it thriving the next time we return
A world of food from different cultures all under one roof!!! Its always a pleasant experience when I grocery shop there. You can buy unique things all through the market. Its an awesome place to visit in albuquerque. I 💘 it.💖💖💖💖
Great variety of foods well organized layouts excellent pricing. The tea section is great!
You have the most diverse foods. I love you guys. The cashier is super friendly. He is awesome!
This store is amazing! So much there from all over the world. And, they had something I needed that I couldnt find anywhere else.
You can find the special ingredients you need for Asian recipes pretty much all the time. The shelves are running a little low, probably due to Covid-19, but normally very well stocked.I found vinger salt when no other store had it.
This Talin Market World Food is awesome. There are so many different foods from all over the world. We went there to get different candy from all over the world. From China, Japan, Bangkok, Korea, Germany, etc... Gummy candies, pralines n hard candy. YUMMY! 😋
Love Talin! Like a trip across the world, you can find so many unique and wonderful treats from so many different places.
Everything was awesome except the cashier she kind of had an attitude but beyond that awesome experience plus they have the best ramen you could find anywhere
So many items to choose from from different countries. Love that. But I wish you had Nigerian foods
Love this place! Everything you didnt know existed resides here. Good food. Good prices and the staff has always been real nice to
Very unique experience! If you are into ramen, this is the place to go!
Different foods from dozens of different countries... and Louisiana. I was not expecting that. I am pleased and confused.
Ive never been there but enjoyed seen different cultures of food. Nice experience!! I will be going again, for sure
Friendly with a selection worthy of being called world market. Go here and try something new!
Generally love this place, although the entropy levels here are a bit higher than normal of late. Many aisles have 50% empty shelves and the chaos factor is fairly high. Things are not where Im used to seeing them if they are there at all. Still, theres no other place in town to get the sheer variety of goods you can get here from around the globe. Hope this place survives whatever has taken it down a notch (pandemic eating and shopping habits?).
Love the choices. We were 40+ year Californians when we moved here15years ago and one thing we missed was cultural diversity in food. Mexican and Native American culture are wonderful but we are use to so many others. And in food we found that Talin is a fantastic place to shop if you like to do your own cooking.
The pop-up dumpling shop was great. Try the ribeye dumplings! They were huge-- like meatballs wrapped inside a dumpling.
This is the place to find the spices, sauces and vegetables that you want for your Asian, Middle-Eastern, and non-traditional US grocery store recipes. Bones for soups are available. The fish is fresh and still swimming.. The prices on the vegetables and greens are the best in town. When open, the vendor with the dumplings are the best Ive had since Shanghai. So, stay away. Dont crowd the lines or buy out the produce. Please.
Great variety of products. Love how they organize everything by region and they have a lot of regions. Some what disheveled and disorganized, but would rather have the store than not. It sucks the location in Santa Fe closed.
Need to go to get some of the not so popular ingredients you can find in your local grocery store. Greater selection of sauces, and vegetables.
Has a variety of oriental food choices. I got shrimp chips and noodles there. Love the variety of items they have.👍
Good selection of unique food items, but not the cleanest, and they always have boxes out blocking the aisle!
This is my second time to this location and I have to say that they have proved a lot since my first visit. The store is organized by city so if younwant Vietnamese food you go to Saigon etc. They have a good selection of vegetables. We were making Vietnamese spring rolls and were able to find the rare herbs. My only complaint here is that the portion sizes on some of the herbs were ridiculous. We had to buy a GIANT bag of garlic chives when we only really wanted about 1/4 of what was in the bag.My only other complaint is the meat section was very limited. They had lots of seafood options but very little pork, chicken or beef. We were just looking for a small cut of port but all they had was pork bones and sliced beef for Pho.
I love the variety of ethnic ingredients. Helpful staff.
So many wonderful foods from all over the world. Great customer service. Helpful. Many many fun foods, drinks and fresh produce.
Cool mix of foods by nation. Clean, nicely stocked and friendly employees. Its cool. :) Good prices too.
I love this store! They are organized and have great, unique finds.
You can find some really good japanese spices, red bean paste, and miso. The variety of noodles is really good as well as fresh bean curd, frozen Chinese food like pan cakes, streamed bun, dumplings, .... The Asian vegs are also quite good, many different types of mushroom, greens, and many more you cant find in other local groceries
Great Asian Store in Albuquerque, New Mexico. They have everything that i need for my household. From Fresh Meat and Vegetables to Frozen Products. They have fresh fish and all sorts of Asian Noodles, Filipino,Korean,Japanese,Chinese Sauce, condiments and canned goods. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
Great selection of products and food. Becareful Parking lot has small parking spaces and very busy.
I love talin so much. You can find anything(foodwise) here. Well organized by countries and regions, great prices and helpful staff as well. I always find everything I need and I find myself just trying snacks and food from all over the world because its available. I would recommend it to friends.
Great hard to locate ingrediants for all my cooking. Fun snacks too.
Its a very nice place you get to see a lot of unusual things.
Super happy I found this place. Just like world market. I go here to get ingredients that I can’t find in regular food markets. They’ve been having an issue of keeping items stocked but that’s normal now with the pandemic.
Went here looking for banana leaves and taro root. They had them both. We appreciate the wide variety of items available.
Awesome place. Clean and organized. Huge selection.
Sad part is you cant find much asian stores in Albuquerque. This is the closet youll get. Amazing store but overpriced if u come from a town where u have asian stores.
One of my favorite international stores to come to for canned jackfruit. Jasmine flowers, teas, fruit juices, fresh veggies and each isle is themed from a country in the world. Love it!
Good customer service. Always have the spices i am in need of.
Love the variety it has. Such a pleasant around the world market shopping experience! Thank you Talin👍🏽
Love finding cool anime inspired stuff here
Due to delivery shortages they have been able to stock up on many of the items we normally.
Workers r ride.. store is fun tho
Amazing Variety From all corners of the world! Stocked fully with hard to find items! Love, Love, Love this Market so reasonably priced and Outstanding Customer Service!
We love this place just for the experience! Love finding interesting foods from around the world. No toiletries or cleaners and no gallon of regular milk. (Soy milk, yes!) But as long as you know its not that kind of store. I like buying unusual tropical frozen fruit purees that I use in my smoothies, this is the only place Ive found that much selection. My son lived in the Phillipinnes for a year, so he comes to the Filipino aisles when he feels nostalgic. Aisles are organized by country.
Good variety of items from different countries. Everything is reasonably priced especially the vegetables.
So many options from all over. Every time I go, I always find something else super yummy and unique. Really sweet staff.
Yeah its got it all. Specially trained staff know where everything is. Just ask, i do too.Seasonal fresh plus.
Not necessarily the best looking good market but definitely one of the best multicultural selections in town!
Love it. Things you can’t get anyplace else!
Love this place. Everyone is always so busy doing their jobs and if you need help they are quick to stop what they are doing and help you out. Highly recommend this place!!
Supplies a little low. I hope couvid didnt hurt them to much.
I dont know why it took me so long to make it over here, but wow, have I been missing out! I love World Market for the eclectic choices of world foods and treats, but Talin is really where you need to go. It almost feels like stepping into another country. The smells, transport you to each country, and you can get lost in their aisles and aisles of food selections. I really like that they separate the areas by regions, which does help when you are looking for something specific. They have a pretty neat produce section, and their seafood market is so awesome. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars, is because it can be very disorganized, and it looks like they get trucks everyday and there are pallets every where so it makes it feel very congested. Other than that, it is simply amazing! Im so glad we have a place to go with such culture!
I like the markers above the aisles. Makes me feel like Im in Kyoto, or Busan, Havana and other cool cities in the world.
It’s the only place to go when you are looking for authentic ingredients for great food from a wide variety of cultures. And the sushi grade fish is great too!
Great place to shop. Very friendly.
They have a lot of things you cant find in your usual super market
Lots of items outside of my humdrum life. Not very helpful/friendly staff to me although knowledgable.
Great variety of products, unfortunately it always smells like rotting seafood. 🤮 How can anyone work there? The smell is disgusting.
Wonderful place. We took Mom there today and loved all the variety.
They have so many unusual items: CURRY LEAVES; GUARANÁ SODA; GOYA frozen 100% FRUIT PUREES like guanabana; SPICES from India; KOREAN GOCHUJANG and fermented SOYBEAN PASTES; BANANA LEAVES; SAKE; etc. Many sections of different international regions, especially Asian; also African, Indonesian, Caribbean and So. American, etc.
This is a place where you can find unique products that arent available anywhere else in the state; a truly massive selection of items from around the world. They have a vibrant fresh produce selection and fresh seafood market with items that you cant find at your average supermarket. Any variety of tea you could want, they probably have it. Any type of noodle, spice, or sauce that youre searching for, they probably have it too.. and if they dont, theyll look in to ordering it for you.I always get excited to come and hunt to see what new or obscure products I will find! That being said, plan to spend some serious time here shopping if you really want to see everything they have, as the store is enormous; I doubt Ive ever made it in-and-out in under an hour (or more, unless I came for just a couple specific things.) Occasionally theres items without the price marked on the shelves so youd have to ask, but that hasnt really been a negative impact on my visits. The employees and cashiers appear to be incredibly diligent in keeping the store clean, sanitizing the checkout lines and point of sale keypads in-between every transaction amid this pandemic, which is reassuring.I always have a fridge and pantry full of deliciousness after visiting here!If you want to spice up your culinary life, I HIGHLY recommend!!!
