Shopping at night when you have the store to yourself is awesome!!! Oh yeah the store is very clean and fresh.

This grocery store should be shut down. Gnarly produce, and plenty of expired goods. I’ve really never seen anything like it. The GM is sleeping on the job and the rest follow.If my first quick visit included finding expired scallops and stale sourdough that is past it’s sell-by-date, I can’t I imagine what more I would find if I kept shopping.

Shopping is fine and the employees throughout the store are very helpful. But the wait to be checked out is sad. I realize that there is a shortage of employees all over the area. Maybe a few more self service would work

Their produce is disgustingThere’s no working water sprinkler so their produce are extremely wilted and looks horrible. I find it hard to believe that there’s an employee assigned to their produce aisle. There’s a manual water sprinkler/hose laying around but they never use it to hydrate the produce. It’s been like this for weeks and I know this because I go into this store on a daily basis as I’m an instacart shopper. Of course I’ll update this rating if they care enough to address the problem.

I want to give recognition to Annibal in the meat department. He was so helpful today when I went to get a chicken and couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for in the packages. He offered without my asking to take two whole chickens to the back and cut them up for me for my recipe. Super nice guy and EXCELLENT customer service. Definitely reminded me of when grocery stores were smaller and they knew you personally.

I think this may be their flagship store. I shop in three others closer to my home. This store impressed !

Best Supermarket in town for me. Employees are helpful in every dept. I love the selections available as well. Im only rating 4 Star because I purchased an out dated Milk. Its my fault because I didnt pay it any mind in the store but after getting home and reviewing everything I noticed the date was for April 16 2021 but today is May 16 2021. Please have employees check for out dated products. A senior may have missed it and got sick. Thanks for all your other services.

Brought fry chicken[3], pieces by itself even though it wasnt bad, they charge by the pound, that Jack the price up. Popeyes, KC,even Price Choppers give you so many pieces at a set price.

Bowl & Basket, shoprite brand products, are as good or better than name brand. Super affordable. Try their ice cream!

I like shoprite I just wish they had more kosher products. I like buying different kosher foods especially stuff from Israel like the Bamba snack but they didnt have any.

I feel shopping at Shop rite is very easy and offers a lot of value. The store is clean and well organized. My checkout was expedited since they had 2 men in suits with walkie talkies directing shoppers to the best registers to get everyone through without delay. I was impressed with how this procedure worked.

Very Busy store. Good prices but often shelves are empty on some items. Needs more cashiers. Bottle return area could use a good cleaning. Cashiers are trying their best.

A good variety of different departments. (Bakery, fresh sea food, fresh groceries, and a pretty cool frozen yogurt machine). However the price checkers were broken when I last visited there. And that one lady at the checkout line seems very dismmisive when I asked her to check the price for one of the items. It wasnt very busy and I was the only person in line at that time. But it was also at a later hour so she is probably just tired. Most of the staffs are very nice and helpful though. Especially the staffs at the sea food department.

I was able to find great produce, super fresh.. good prices, but the cashier was super rude to me. It was my first time there and she asked if I had a shop rite card and when I asked what that was for or if it gave me savings, she said oops too slow, next time gotta be faster which was totally inappropriate. The customer behind me offered to use hers and the cashier still said, nope. Too late. She followed up with another series of snide comments before I left.I would have given this place a great review, but that left a sour taste in my mouth. Not sure ill be back

The butcher cut a bone-in prime rib roast perfectly. He was very quick and accommodating!

I thought they would have a lot more groceries in there unfortunately they ran out of a lot of stuff especially meats chicken there was very little to choose from chicken breast cutlets very limited quantity. I would think the turkeys would be nope it was the chickens period as for the rest of the meat in there the hamburger grass-fed is reasonable which most places is twice as much. Thats why I like going there for that there are some things that are on great sale versus there but even the ShopRite prices on the ShopRite brand a little pricey I would say

New definition of stupid. Employees clueless where areas of merchandise located. Clientele blocking others. Screaming at their children. Purposeful no social distancing. Unpleasant. Avoid!

Pretty clean - Weekends are always busy.

I went early in the morning and it was nice and so convenient the store was just getting crowded and it is Thanksgiving day.. went last night and it was so many people in there but they kept it safe.

Went there this afternoon, many if not the majority of employees had masks below their noses.Saw customers with masks below their noses, and two customers with their face covering pulled down completely, one drinking a beverage. No hand sanitizer as you enter or leave the store. Carts were not cleaned. Went to Trader Joe’s after, completely opposite experience.

I am able to find what I want with relative ease and the employees are consistently nice.

Self check out drained my mental energy. Every scan was auditory announcement and dont pick up anything from bagging area cuz it pauses for a clerk to analyze what happened. All I did was make room for more bags.

This store is just OK. I wanted to buy split chicken breast and thin sliced chicken breast for cutlets. The chicken department was the smallest I ever seen in a supermarket with no selection. They had no split breasts and no thin sliced breasts for cutlets. They should be ashamed of themselves. I guess Im use to shoprite down state where there is no shortage of meat and a huge variety of chicken.

They have everything you need from breakfast to dinner and everything between, no healthy snack bar options at the check out.

It was a really good experience very clean very friendly I like the way they directed the customers to the cashiers and you know the 6-foot distance thing was definitely applied and they maintained that masks beyond all customers at all time including the workers I was just overall satisfied with my shopping experience

ShopRite is doing a fantastic job at handling this pandemic while still taking good care of its customers. I cant speak for the employees but it looks like they are doing their best to keep them safe as well.

Store seems out of order. Every time I go on a Sunday morning, the stuff on sale is never out or ready. Then, depending who you ask for help, they give you an attitude.

I found a lot of Spanish veggies that I always have trouble finding. The lines were long but went really quickly. Overall I was very happy.

The seafood staff was amazing. They were prompt and helped us immediately. The cashier cashed us out so fast it was amazing. He could have smiled just a little more. But over all my experience there was awesome.

As I said before, I love shopping at Shope Rite in Albany. Hispanics in the Capital Region can get Spanish items out of a great selection of them. Thats why my.wife and I go there often. Great Store!

Was freaking angry... Got my food. Grabbed my drink 5 min flat!!!! 20 min later I finally checked out, 2 lines open at 5 pm ...for real .. I would have loved to have eaten my hot food while it was actually hot and during my actual dinner break.. which I had 5 minutes left of After being in the store for 25 minutes...grrrrrr

ShopRite you need to get it together every ShopRite Ive been around the whole district everyone is able to come in and come out no matter what time of the night it is I have not been and therein for almost three years on a Friday night you got to remember the customer makes you your money not the the store fix it you can do better than that shout out to Brenda one of my favorite workers do not put the heat on her she does a hell of a good job youve got to do better Price chopper did that for 10 I know I was the last one to leave the deli I worked in there for 10 trying to get something real quick and go catch never can make it always had the pin on a cab or another way home sometimes come on man you did with your other stores dont give Albany a bad name you get a lot of customers on a Friday going in and try to leave without them customers you cant make I dont customer service either get more bodies at the register on a Friday night it shouldnt be too registers open what about almost sometimes 40 trying to get out around 9 this is a store issue not a supervisor fix it if you cant do it do a self checkout line show me everything a lot more faster instead of just having people come in here and have 30 people 40 trying to check out Fix-It man I should not have to go across the river or out of Albany to get something real quick you make it all me look bad either hire more bodies for closing time and help you should not have to struggle to leave this is a story issue by the supervisor issue

Cheap, well managed, and friendly. However, the produce department does need a wiping down and boxes should be disposed of.

I always find what Im looking for. Always a sale and i find things at an affordable price. Also they are the only grocery store around besides whole foods that has coconut milk. Everywhere else has soy, or almond milk which Im allergic to.

They don’t have a real bank atm just a private one that charges a $3 fee - and no one ever ever answers at the customer service desk -

Service isnt bad, but they really need self check out lines. And its too confined. The lines are always out of order. Basically the front end needs more space. Hannaford doesnt have that many lanes in their Central ave Albany location, and I must admit, but the service is better because they have a very simple effective self check out line.

This is my first time here period everything is so much lower than everywhere else it was unreal things that I pay almost double or triple the price for cuz I eat organically were much lower I was amazed.

Always packed, but never enough registers open. No self checkout. Gave three stars for having a great selection, hot food station, and bakery.

Not really a fan of this grocery store. Its too crowded. The aisles are barely wide enough for two carts to pass each other.

This is my preferred destination for my grocery shopping, as it has the largest selection of products and best prices in the area. The bakery is worth noting as they generally have a lot on offer and it all tastes great. My only real complaint is that I can almost never find a decent, unbruised banana that isnt also bright green. And I almost never have to wait to checkout.

Place had good meats but everything else is expensive. No crab in the seafood department and you cant get money orders or pay bills 🤷
