My child had a great experience! She loved the Oculus Rift virtual reality games! They forgot to give us a 25% discount given on Thursdays, so the staff gifted my daughter a Dip n Dots treat! She demolished while watching Guitar Hero!

I went here for a Warhammer 40,000 Tournament. The space is very large, and you have a lot of room around the tables and gaming areas. They serve alcohol (beer/hard cider) at a small bar and have a pretty broad selection. Although I didnt use it, their VR and projector gaming areas were large and well equipped.The miniature gaming tables were a comfortable height, had a good amount of terrain stored underneath, and some had cup holders, which was helpful for the previously mentioned beer.All in all, good place and good space. If youre gaming (miniatures, CCG, board games, video games, etc) in Albany, this seems like the place to be.

Great place to take some friends play some games.... They have craft beers on tap, imports and domestics. There is something for everyone from cards to arcade games. Great place to find VIntage games.

Amazing local store that came to the rescue of local Magic Players and gave us a reliable and fun place to come together.The owner is one of the nicest people I have met, and will bend over backwards to make everyone happy. The wide variety of services offered outside of Magic also makes this a melding pot of many different people, allowing for a strong community of people that are great to hang out with.If you live in the South-West Georgia area, and enjoy any nerdy activities, do yourself a favor and give this place a visit. Prices are reasonable, hours are convenient, and the owners are incredibly hospitable. Im very thankful that such a wonderful place opened up locally!

This is an amazing place for any type of gamer. From cards to consoles. If you wanna game or talk gaming this is the place. With a great price on gaming you can play the most up to date consoles and even buy classics. You can lose your self in one of the D&D and in an entire virtual reality. Extremely nice and respectful people. They have drinks and snacks. It’s a good place to relax. Games along the lines of rock band, ping pong, fortnight, madden, 2k, beat saber, and magic is not even a fraction of the games you can play. I will come back and recommend to anyone that games.

Its a great place to go when you want to have fun with friends and family. Great way to meet people and make new friendships like during Friday Night Magic and D&D nights! Its got multitudes of games; cards, VR, multiple consoles and more!.. 10/10 would recommend.

This place is so cool definitely stands up to its name. It was so much fun getting to play the card games, watching the video game competitions, getting to experience VR for the first time here. They even have movies or shows playing in a cool little hang out area. This place is definitely worth your time to hang out here and for good price :)

The owner refused to give back due change to a customer. Simply refused to give change even when asked. The owner also uses dci numbers to fluff his prize support and tournament numbers. This is stealing. I would not recommend this place

The Cool Place is one of the best, if not the best, gaming stores Ive ever been to, mostly due to the customer service alone, but also its a lot of fun! You can hop on the VR machine and play some really immersive and fun games, or you can play one of the games they have set up such as Mortal Kombat 11 or Street Fighter V, and you can get great and rare games there for an incredibly decent price! If youre ever in the Albany area this is DEFINITELY the place to check out, you dont wanna miss The Cool Place!

Upon entering the Cool Place..I sense a bit of nostalgia..I want to root for this place and for it to bring business back into the Albany Mall! For Gamers its a dream..card games, board games, VR games and of course video games. What would send it over the top however is Imo for us Old school gamers to bring back more arcade style games! I dont mind having game systems there..but most gamers have systems..not all of us have Arcade systems..thats the missing ingredient imo! But definitely a nice spot.

Hands down the best place to hang out for those who are interested in board games, card game, video game, or experiencing VR. The Cool Place has friendly and knowledgeable staff as well plenty of room to sit down and relax, play some game or just watch the big screen.

The shop owner is friendly, but only to a degree that is beneficial if it makes him another dollar.The guest access Wi-Fi that the shop provides (that you are being charged for when you pay The Chill Rate), does not consistently work and hasnt since 18 June 2019. I informed the owner of this multiple times, but he chose to disregard my complaints (and others) about the situation. It still has not been fixed.TCP is a cool store with great customers overall, but I do not recommend it as a paying patron myself. I will be attending another LGS for FNM and casual play until the owner rectifies the Wi-Fi connection and sticks to the rules that were drawn up when TCP was founded back in February 2019.
