I’ve been to a lot of Apple stores. In fact I used to live a few blocks from one in Philly. I received out of this world kind service at this location. Not that I haven’t received great service at other locations, but this location specifically was incredible.I drove in from Okemo area in Vermont, about two hours and made it in within about a half hour of the store closing. It was a Saturday night and I’m sure everyone was ready to go home. But, nonetheless I was greeted by an Apple employee like I was the first person he talked to for that day. He asked where I was coming in from and we had a conversation about Vermont, kids, writing, and crypto as I waited for my repair. Unbelievably awesome interaction, like I wanted to be friends after that ha!After this another employee came out with my computer and she again greeted me kindly, and was just really great to talk to. She went out of her way as well and watched my computer as I used the restroom (2 hour drive).I was blown away by how fantastic the staff was at this location, they went above and beyond when they didn’t have to. I could have just picked up my computer and left. But- they actually care here. And I think if the manager reviews these comments or Apple, please keep doing what you are doing with who you are hiring. You have great people.
Two people helped me out today. Pretty quick service (likely because I came in right after opening, but it was still nice to get in and out). Everyone was really kind. This is legitimately the only time Ive walked out of an Apple Store feeling satisfied and with my wallet intact. And I can now charge my laptop. Thank you!
Been here before, always has been helpful, its great to have these stores to help if needed, and a place to get their products
Came in two weeks ago, waited interminably ling, left all of our information, went to dinner, came back and still needed to wait. They canceled our order that had been sent to a wrong email address with an incorrect contact number. This place is the worst! Absolutely unprofessional and unorganized.
On last Friday I was so fortunate to purchase a NEW iPhone 13 Pro Max at the Apple Store in Crossgates Mall.in Albany NYI left with my NEW iPhone 13 Pro Max who knew it would be that easy. It feel like it was a DREAM - UNBELIEVABLE
Organized chaos, this store is always crowded. We made an appointment for phone repair and were seen promptly on schedule. They do require masks in the store, likely because there is no way to social distance.
It’s a good location. People are nice and professional. I visited in 2 different occasions for repair of my MacBook and problem solved quickly. I would recommend this location.
Nice job all I need it was a new cable charger and I thot I need it a new Phone lolz nice ppl good Service gods luck and God Bless
Ive been to the apple store twice, once to buy my new iPhone 12 max pro phone and a new Apple watch, and once to replace the screen protector. Both times I had a bit of a wait, but the technician was knowledgeable and helpful and both times resulted in getting what I needed inn short order. I really enjoyed both visits.
This is one of the nicer malls around! Two floors. There is a good mix of stores here, and a decent food court.
It was too huge! You could totally get lost in here. And Im not sure that there was all that much difference between all the stores. But the women I was with seem to enjoy it okay
Best service anyone has ever given me. They are top notch and are a tremendous asset to us. Great company
We went to buy two Apple Watch’s for my wife and myself. The guy in the front door was very rode. He didn’t let us in, although there was an hour time. He said back tomorrow or buy online. He was asking about appointment. Check Apple website, there is nothing about should have appointment for buying things. I never back there again. The lazy guy was trying to keep customers away.
Very helpful staff. No wait. Interesting products and while you can you dont need to spend $$$$.
Lots of worker, but they do not take care of customer. I wait 20 min at the door for someone come and take care of me.
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my entire life I’ve been there multiple times in my life and every single time I have to search and find a person to help me and take my money and also and also I went through the entire process of getting my screen replaced after waiting for two hours and I ended up not be able to get my screen replaced because I’m not 18. After they started working on it!!!!!!
Huge store, they have all your Apple electronic needs. Thanks again!!!
Had to make an appointment for service. Colin, our rep was very knowledgeable and patient, helping us make our purchase. He set up a phone appointment to help us activate the phone.Pleased with service so far
Just want to pick up two iPad for parents. Came in the shop with no line waiting outside. Had to wait 30mins to get a sale person to talk to you.
Outside of the long wait, service is the best! Thats why Ive used nothing except Apple from the beginning. There is always a human being to walk you through difficulties😁
I made an appointment at the genius bar to assess my apple watch. the associate didnt explain what she was doing, didnt communicate AT ALL, and spent more time in the back room than with me. she didnt attempt to do anything at all, told me my watch was out of warranty and to get a new one, and then left. zero effort to explain the situation. after the 20 minutes i was there, i still have no explanation as to WHAT is wrong with my watch other than its broken. clearly i knew it was broken, or i wouldnt have made an appointment for a broken apple watch. youre the genius please tell me what is wrong with it? i have no more information than when i went in, and had to go in during a pandemic for this. absolutely zero out of five stars.
Made an appointment to have my phone repaired (cracked back) and was told there was a 2,1/2 hour wait or I could leave it there. Why was this not mentioned when I made the appointment not happy with Apple at all !!!
This place operates like a bazaar. No system for dealing with customers, just a Battle Royale where customers have to grab a willing associate to take their money - easier said and done. I came here to buy a specific ipad and accessories. My Apple credit card was ready but in the 15+ minutes I was here, I could not get a single associate to speak to me, instead I was routed to a single guy who was single handedly responsible for ipad sales (unlike the multitude handling iphone sales). For the duration of my stay, the ipad guy was attending to another customer. He didnt say a word to me (Ill be with you soon, eg) but in fairness he did let a supervisor know Id been waiting a while. That supervisor came over and told me the next available associate would be over to me shortly. All the time I was here people continued to come into the store and get service. I felt invisible. Eventually I gave up and left. What a waste of my time. Ill order from another vendor online. Apple wont miss the couple of hundred dollars they will have to pay that vendor in sales commission but Ill feel better for wasting so much time driving here and being made to feel like an invisible fool.
Cool place. Of course I get roped into buying a new something every time. But I guess that means they do their job well
Tyler, Austin, John and another amazing associate working next to Austin went above and beyond today to insure my problem was resolved as well as the Apple customer support team!!! Couldn’t be happier and more grateful for the help I received today!!! Thank you a million!
Garbage place, service is horrible. I saw a dude(worker) picking his nose, and a girl pulling out wedgees, so gross
If you get their in the am good chance you will get helped.
The girl on the register was kinda cute, I think her name was Anna. Anna If you are seeing this my Snapchat is cookiemuncher54
Vaccinated? CDC guidelines don’t matter. Wear a mask cause we know better, we’re Apple after all.
The store is closed to browsing but the experience was great! Super great service on the phone with Apple, the online order was easy and pickup to 10 minutes total. Fastest I’ve ever been in and out of an Apple store!!
Was asked to wait in a line outside of the store and when we asked for an approximate wait time was rudely told to just wait. I can understand limiting the number of the people in the store for safety, but the line outside was not safe. People herded together much closer than the required 6ft apart distance. Additionally we felt treated more like an inconvenience than customers about to spend thousands of dollars on laptops (we did never get in to the store as no one could tell us how long the wait would be). Will be avoiding this store and doing as much of our business with the online Apple Store as possible. This store offered nothing but frustration.
Have to jump through a ton of hoops to actually get to talk to a real person. Ridiculous.
Today is May 19th 2021. I went to the Apple store in Albany NY a very spacious store indeed. When I arrived It seemed I was transported to December 19th 2020. A separate cordoned off area with airport type barriers led to associates making appointments for entry into the store. Anyway, I was told it would be an hour till I was allowed entry.I opted to visit Bestbuy and purchased what I needed from their Apple area and was home long before the hour I would have wasted waiting for my appointment.
Fast and super nice. One of the nicest Apple Stores!!
This store had a lot of interesting items for purchase.
Place is trash they claim they are so busy but I count on my hands 8 employees standing around doing absolutely nothing. They say we cannot make a reservation and they don’t know how “long the wait will be.” Garbage service …
Waited over 30 minutes after my appointment time and was then told by a worker after he started an argument with me that I was not allowed to be upset and they would not help me unless I was polite but I never yelled and also the worker and manager were very disrespectful the whole time even told me to grow up and they told me to GET THIS. CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE instead of helping there
Excellent service....answer my questions
Claire was wonderful to work with, as she is kind, intelligent, and patient. As an ICU RN, I havent been into a store or a mall in a year!!! However, iPhone issues sometimes require a trip to the Genius Bar, but I felt very safe, as their COVID safety protocols were outstanding! They have double-layered plexiglass, staff at the entrance and exit that I called their safety bouncers who greeted each customer and guided them to the next available. They even had a person standing by who scoured each space after each customer left. The only thing missing.... temperature checks.Well done, Apple of Crossgates. And thank you Claire!!
Very bad experience. They say they have walk in but its not true. Closing at 9pm, I arrived at 8:30pm (after 1h and a half drive) to buy an iPhone and they told me to come back the day after with an appointment. I didnt needed a shopping session I just wanted to pay and get the phone. I couldnt even buy it online right there and pick it up before 9pm.
They got a huge line to get in but the employees are nice and friendly
Thankful for the apple team at Crossgates for helping me with a computer issue at the height of busy season for my business. They were understanding and went above and beyond to make sure I was able to continue working with speed while my computer was being repaired. They gave me multiple options and made suggestions based on my needs. Thank you apple team!
Individual stores are doing there best to be safe during covid
I sincerely love this Apple Store. Had to go replace my EarPods here. This particular outlet is very cute, cozy and well lit. In fact I almost didnt want to leave considering its addictive ambience. Its actually inside the Crossgate mall and you may wanna get your mall map to locate it. The customer service was uber-cool and the guy took his time to explain to me the benefits and features of the various Macs and devices
The Apple store in Crossgates mall was always a great location for Apple but we appreciate the location even more now because of their COVID procedures. There are lines you must wait on to speak with an Apple specialist and based on your needs, you proceed accordingly. Safe measures during difficult times are appreciated by customers.
Didnt event go in cuz my daughter said the store looks like the end of the world🤦♀️
I cracked/chipped my iPhone 12 Pro Max screen while accidentally dropping it on my tile floor without a case on it. Okay, no big deal, I have AppleCare+, Ill just get my screen fixed. I set up an appointment for Tuesday 01/19/2021. I get there in plenty of time for my appointment. As Im finally let in to see a genius, they advise me that they do not have the parts in store to fix my screen. I was upset but not the biggest issue. On 01/23/2021 I call the store and speak with a manager to make sure they have the parts to fix my screen. He assures me that they do and to call to set up a new appointment. I call and set up an appointment for 01/24/2021. Again, I get to the store in plenty of time. After waiting in line for 20 minutes its finally my turn to see the genius. I walk up and explain to him that I was here to get my screen replaced. He says your screen isnt damaged enough for us to replace it I explained that with my line of work, if the screen gets any worse and gets water damage that I will have to pay even more money to get it replaced. He doesnt budge. So now Ive wasted two hours driving back and forth to this store for absolutely nothing. Why didnt the genius I spoke to on the 19th inform me that my screen wasnt damaged enough? This is an absolute joke of an Apple Store and from now on I will just deal with Best Buy I guess.
Horrible customer service, my screen broke I went to go repair it and an employee said this is why you should have apple care so you wouldn’t go broke paying for it. Apple do better on hiring people, try not to hire the cocky or discriminative people. Thanks
So fast, clean, safe. Despite how busy it was all the proper precautions were made and the staff were knowledgeable and quick to answer/solve issues I had with my order
As usual apple store employees were helpful. I was happy to see the precautions taken in COVID era. Nice apple store. Very less waiting time
My 70+ year old mom needed a new phone. And she wanted to check out the options and have someone set it up for her. Easy, right? No.They had no record of the appointment I made for her. So she had to wait for another 40 minutes for a 10 minute appointment.During the appointment the sales person told her they would sell her a phone but not set it up.I made the appointment figuring this was the way to get Apples great customer service post-covid.I get all the health protections and social distancing. But you can still help out your customers that take the time to shlep to the mall to have a HUMAN BEING take care of them.Ill be sending Tim Cook a bill for the technical support Ill be giving my mom.
I was at APPLE today for help w/my new Iphone and worked with Maithily. She was tremendous with such professionalism, care and respect for my needs as the customer. I had an awesome experience with her and would highly recommending working with her if you get the chance. Impressive knowledge for the product and resourceful. I will be a return customer. I have never been disappointed with their customer service. Chuck is the best as welll! I first went to apple after incredibly bad experiences with Verizon in Clifton Park and Saratoga stores. No regard for their customer. Verizon users, save yourself the trouble and go right to Apple where you will be taken care of from start to finish! Thanks Maithily!
On point very friendly. Taught me something I didnt know about as a 1st time iphone user/buyer. Much appreciated!! 😎😎
Fast and very helpful technicians
They dont sell apples here, big scam.
Horrible location! They do not help you at this location and they are very rude. I have never experienced this kind of customer service from an apple store before
Not a fan. Hate the way they jump you as soon as you walk in. Over thought, over hyped and overpriced.
My phone got destroyed by a snowblower and I had to drive an hour in each direction to get to this Apple store. I did not check the website and didn’t see that I needed an appointment to even step foot in the store (that is 100% on me). When I arrived 2 of the 4 security guards came and assisted me they were so helpful and kind I really appreciated them. They informed me I needed to order my new phone online and make an appointment to go in the store to retrieve my new phone. Although this was inconvenient it was completely my fault as I did not check the website. I knew there was no prioritization although I didn’t even have a phone and I patiently waited my turn and the apple employee that assisted me was also very kind. I was in and out of the store with my brand new phone in about 2 minutes. Working through this pandemic and enforcing these rules is a big change but this store excelled in their service and I am very grateful. Thank you again to the 2 security guys and the woman inside the store!!
They go above and beyond to keep you safe while shopping. Our sales person was wonderful.
Better than I was expecting. Techs treated me and my daughter great. No solution for a malfunctioning three year old MacBook Air.
First timer.Store selections not what I expected. Needs more restrooms. Food court decent.
The no in store shopping needs to be better communicated. Building cart only to find out merchandise isnt in stock at checkout its terrible business model.
Picked up 3 Alexas.
So bad for waiting 1 hour. They probably don’t care any customers
The lines are so long, they take up so much space and block walkways. I dont even shop here, its just so inconvenient to walk past.
Apple Crossgates in Albany NY has a good sales staff. They have the information that you need to know and they also are a friendly bunch that is there to help you get what you want or need.
A few days ago I brought my MacBook Pro into Apple Crossgates to have the battery serviced. Apart from the battery needing to be serviced, the laptop was in perfect working order when I handed it over to them. The following morning I returned to the store to pick up the laptop and was informed that they had declined to service the device because when they opened it up they found bugs inside it and declared it a biohazard because one was still moving. While Ive never seen any bugs going into or out of my laptop, given that the laptop is 6 years old, I wasnt shocked by the news that one or more bugs had climbed inside it at some point, and while I was disappointed Id need to take the laptop to a third party repair facility to have the battery serviced, I considered it an inconvenience and nothing more. However, when I got home and turned the laptop on, I discovered the screen didnt work and had a crack in it. I immediately called Apple Support to report what happened, and followed up by calling the store to report the damage. Not only did Apple refuse to fix the damage that had been done to my laptop while it was in their possession, theyve blatantly refused to assist in finding a third party repair company to repair the damage that was done to my laptop while it was in their possession. The (ONLY) remedy theyve offered is a 20% discount on a new MacBook Pro, which was an offer extended by the same manager who responded to my report of the damage done by asserted that I couldnt prove the damage didnt occur in the small window of time between when I picked up the laptop and booted it up when I got home. In other words, I entrusted my laptop to Apple Crossgates to be serviced, they returned it to me in significantly damaged condition (rendered almost unusable), refused to take responsibility for the damage done, refused to repair the damage that had occurred while it was in their possession, refused to have a third party repair the damage that was done while it was in their possession, and the only option theyve given me is paying them thousands of dollars for an upgrade that I didnt need (until they broke my laptop). Given that I wasnt in need of an upgrade since my laptop was still working perfectly prior to me entrusting it to the Apple Crossgates GeniusBar, theyve put me in a position where the only option for remedying the situation involves me paying them multiple thousands of dollars for a new laptop (basically extortion), or paying out-of-pocket for a third party provider to repair the damage that Apple Crossgates inflicted on my device without just compensation. Ive been a loyal Apple customer for years, have spent over $10,000 on their products and services during that time, and this is the first time Ive ever had a device returned to me in worse condition than when I handed it to them. If they offered (any) reasonable way to resolve the damage they did, I wouldnt have an issue, but they havent.A friend who heard about the situation reached out to Apples Executive Relations, who were kind enough to contact me directly, but they failed to offer any reasonable solutions either. Apparently Apples Corporate Policy is that if any bugs are found within your device (even so much as an ant), they immediately stop working on the device, will not reconnect any components theyve disconnected or disassembled, label the device as a biohazard (making it difficult to get repairs since even third-party repair shops that have a relationship with Apple wont touch it) and return the device to you in a significantly damaged state with no reasonable means of getting it put back into the condition it was in when you entrusted it to them. Im disappointed to say that his experience has destroyed my trust in both the Apple Crossgates store and the Apple brand generally, and for a long-time Apple-Aficionado, I have no words to express the depth of that disappointment. Ill be filing complaints with the BBB later today, both against Apple Crossgates and Apple, Inc.
Security is rude. I will prefer to go to best buy store to buy.
Very busy and they rush you right through
Fantastic experience at Apples in Crossgates! Max went above and beyond to fix my phone, staying after hours to assure it was up and running! This was by far the best customer service I have ever received in my life. If you’re having issues with your phone, go to Apple and ask for Max.
The line is too long
Nice place to buy thing
Completely rude and disrespectful when asking for help. They told me to scan a barcode with my phone to make appointment but when I tried to explain that my charger piece broke off in my phone, and that my phone was dead they stop talking to me
Incredibly rude and predatory staff at this store. Wait times are insane even when there are few people in the store. Staff will blatantly upsellElderly folks to technology they don’t need let alone understand. You’re better off googling how to self repair because this store always tries to ship your products off which they say can take days to weeks. Upper mgmt is usually uncooperative and not understanding of customers needs. Heck, even the “Apple store” in the Best Buy is more professional. For one of Apples first handful of commercial stores, this one really falls short in all the departments.
Even in these strange times, everyone friendly and fast service! Only downside is, we had to send back watch to replace/fix, they should say on website and we could have done it without coming in!
I was literally just there at 11:25 AM on 12/20/2020. I went to go into the store. The guy CURRENTLY at the front of the store where the line starts kept repeating everything is done online. I asked how do I know what older MacBooks are available or apply for credit? Everything is done online. I said I looked online and could not find older models of MacBooks. I need help finding a product. He said Goodbye. You have a good day maam. I said a few expletives and told customers not to bother that man. The guy was absolutely no help, refused to help, and completely rude with condescending phrases BEFORE I became angry walking away saying a few choice words. For such a widely used product this kind of general service and refusal to help a customer is unacceptable. I suggest you find a better employee to work the entrance during COVID.
Drove from Hudson to buy a new phone for my 89-year-old mother. Showed up with her on a cane and was told it would be a three hour wait, no place to sit down, no accommodation. Incredibly insensitive.
Is this even a real store because Im calling the listed number and just getting forwarded to support? I ask them my question, they call the same store, nobody picks up. I know there are covid restrictions but whats the deal here? Its a simple question I need answered and now 4 people have been unable to answer it. Oh, and FYI the closest service center is in Bennington VT so if you have to get something fixed thats more than like a year old, you gotta drive to VT. Im done w/ this s__tbag company. Adios.
Don’t go here if you want any help at all. very unprofessional. very upsetting. maybe you should coach your employees on racial profiling.
This place is absolutely disgusting, they were not very nice, they are rude to poc just tryna find help. and overall they were not helpful.
Horrible..stood in line almost an hr...never again. Then a guy was waving his hands spun around and broke my phone...
There arude lady serity guard in. Front of apple store fire her apple she needs to lose her job and stop the make of iPads form apple. Just have computers. Desk tops then we be happy
Their Covid safety protocols go above and beyond. I made an appointment online and did not have to wait for service.
Made a reservation at the Genius Bar days ago to replace the battery in my 3 year old iPhone X. Arrived on time, checked in and went through their whole process only to find out they did not have a battery in stock. That after driving 45 min each way. They said “sorry but we don’t reserve batteries” even though I made a specific reservation for a a specific service. So now I am supposed to wait another few days for a call when the battery is in stock and then return another time for the service.Would they comp the battery given my inconvenience? Nope.Geee, that’s considerate. I will definitely rethink my loyalty to Apple. Will consider Samsung next time.UPDATE: although no consideration was given to the fact I wasted my time, per above, when I went back for the battery install it was well done. They took me right away, installed the battery in an hour and were very pleasant along the way. I still think it should be a simple matter to manage their inventory better so they can accommodate scheduled service and hope they do better in the future.
I got my iphone battery replaced. The battery was successfully replaced. However, in the process of replacing my battery they broke/dislodged my bottom speaker of my iphone. I would not recommend going here.
Absolutely DISGUSTING how you treat customers! You should be ashamed!
Dont like apple products and never shop there
I recently got a phone fixed at the apple store in crossgates and got a worker named Kole who was excellent, he had great service, was very nice and got us in and out in a good amount of time. 10/10 recommend Kole!
Traditional apple
I had just bought a new IPhone 11 Pro Max 6 days before and had been unable to use it due to set up problems. I went to Apple with tears in my eyes and thanks to Jamie and the technician, 15 minutes later it was fixed and I was on my way back to work. I can’t thank them enough!! They were fast and courteous!!!I would recommend this store to anyone that needs help with their Apple products. They know their stuff. Thank you again !!
Great customer service. Very clean, futuristic shop look. Im an Android guy but my wife loves her iPhones. I honestly enjoyed my trip to this location. Friendly and helpful staff for sure!.
My sisters phone had problems and they got it to turn on and and transfered her info to the new phone they gave her. But other than that it wont stay working
The staff in this store racially profile their customers and use intimidation tactics to do this I saw alot of staff in this store and police and security around the mall all restricting a mother getting her child from within the store will 1000% never use this store again disgusting
Security is rude. Bureaucratic hassles
I ordered 2 phones online to pick them up. I did those orders separately to get separate bills. But employees couldnt do it with easy way and took about 20 minutes. Just pick up! The staff who was standing front of the store to organize customers entrance was rude.
I was at the Apple store in Albany, NY for over three hours to replace a battery. First, you sign in and wait an hour to receive a text. After that, you wait another ten minutes to see a “technician.” The person confirms you need a battery, which I already knew based on battery iPhone info. Next, they say they can’t replace the battery unless you have your Apple ID with you. All the way home to retrieve the #, and back to the store to wait another twenty minutes. The “technician” arrives again to advise that now it is time to put the phone in line for repair! AND, it will be ready in ONE hour!! Upon returning, you are greeted by two people introducing themselves to you to discuss your repair. Three and one half hours later I simply said, “I don’t care anymore, just get me my phone.” The phone was FINALLY retrieved, but not without more advice. STOP!! It was just a battery replacement Apple, not rocket science. Too much on the friendly, puffed chest “we know it all” attitude, and not enough attention to what you are putting the customer through each day.
Apple always has a great selection. This location is very busy. Ive never walked by and it wasnt. I think thats for most Apple stores, but this one is pretty much the same. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly.
Employees have no clue how to interact with customers and they do not know the products they are selling. I had a female worker tell me to shop somewhere else, another one tell me that I was wrong to ask so many questions. The lines are horrendous and the appointment system is arbitrary if not useless. All employees must be trained to charge as much as possible for simple often free solutions. If you b**** enough to get a manager they will help more. Would not recommend.
Went to the Amazon store! Its like Disneyland!
Professional n organized..helpful staff
