While I love the concept of this place- I have yet to have a great experience. There is a vast selection of items- but I find the pricing to be a bit high. The one item I was excited to find/purchase I ended up putting back on the shelf as there was no one at the check out area and wasnt willing to wait behind the 4 other people also waiting to pay. (It was a simple chrome soap dish- nothing I couldnt live without)
Bought a cabinet set from here, they were great for an okay price. Only help I got from staff was to the register, we struggled bringing it down the steep ramp to our trailer. Then the guy at the loading dock with the green shirt told us to move our trailer as were loading, commenting were not the only ones shopping. As we finished up he started yelling at someone else dropping off donations telling them to let staff park the vehicle for him cause hes not doing it right. Not sure if hes the owner or manager but he definitely needs to get checked.
Great place to find some pre-loved furniture and home goods. The staff were very friendly. As of today, there is 20% off every Wednesday, 10% off normally for students and as much as 50% off at the end of each month for those from the area.
Be careful buying appliances here. Bought a lawn mower and it didn’t work. Cost be $40 and they would not return it. Called corporate and reported to BBB.
Want to donate used goods this is the place to go. Check the hours for drop off before you go. You can find really great deals here.
Restore is always fun to shop, you never know what youll find!
I got there at quarter to ten got paid for this furniture major argument with a woman manager stepped in and all I can say is good things come to those who wait I was blessed Habitat for Humanity its number one in my book.. Manager Rich Hochheimer... Got me an even better deal so remember good things come to those who wait so young lady your temper tantrum worked out for my better thank you have a nice day
This is a great, hidden (Not really) place for great inexpensive finds. Redoing my garage to add more storage and found a older, but in very good shape kitchen cabinet set for $99. Plus, the money goes towards a really great cause, Habitat For Humanity. Recommend it.
We needed a stool for the kitchen. Found one that looks brand new for a fraction of the cost from a retail store. Also found some kitchen gadgets.
This place is amazing. The volunteers there are so helpful. We have saved so much moneys by getting furniture and house stuff from them and it helps build homes for those in need!
Had alot of furniture, glass ware, electrical plates. Lots to look at but they will not help you load anything due to covid.
Good source for used/surplus material and furniture. While good selection, the other restore is better for buy and hold for pickup.
Personnel are super friendly and helpful....lots to look at and very organized ...
I am very very upset at the Albany store the gentleman Chris that ran the little gift shop as I Call it is one of the most polite kindest gentle man I have ever met he kept that room looking wonderful not onlyhis room but try to keep the entire store looking good now that they let him go I will no longer be shopping there neither will the rest of my family. I always mentioned Chris’s name to everyoneWhen I send them there I will no longer be recommending people to go to the Albany store
Awesome staff and selection. Prices are great. Most pieces are in great condition. In addition, they have wide variety of furniture, housewares, appliances, antiques, glassware, tools, collectibles and more. We frequent this store at least 1x weekly. Their inventory changes rapidly during to low prices so if you see something you like, buy it, because it will most likely not be there.
Really cool place to find cheap used home goods.
Can never get there bc I work
The customer service was exceptional, amenities appreciated (free coffee!), and prices affordable. I havent been in the capital region long but one of my favorite places so far has been the Habitat ReStore.
This is a large restore with a lot of furniture in it. I was very surprised. I went looking for a very specific item and was able to find exactly what I was looking for (results may vary I am sure). There is everything from chairs to kitchen cabinets here. My purchase was a solid wood book case, oak finish, two shelves for $25. I consider that a great price.
I bought a fantastic freezer from themand a dishwasher, and they take many of the nice things I have given, donated, to them.
Save your time and money and go to local garage and estate sales. Old damaged furniture priced for hundreds of dollars. For donated goods? No thank you. I understand the “proceeds” go towards building homes, that doesn’t mean you have to rip people off. I would be more inclined to donate directly and purchase items if things were more fairly priced.
Great ideas for a remodeling of my kitchen. Great deals.
Always a fun experience coming here! Great selection of vintage furniture, light fixtures and dishes. Now they have music albums, cds and sheet music! A good mix of home furnishings! Awesome prices too!
Great place! My favorite store!
They have drastically changed, now open just 4 days (closed 3 days a week!) and prices have doubled or tripled. I can honestly say that discount retailers such as Huck Finns are a much better option. What a shame.
It is organized pretty nicely, prices are reasonable, and there is a lot to choose from
First the people are extremely helpful esp ChuckThey have new things used things so worth a trip to see what they have. Cant beat the prices
What an amazing store. I will definitely tell friends about it. My new favorite store. Prices are very fair, staff is helpful and friendly. Cant wait to go back.
Great place to donate when youve finished a remodel. Staff helpful. Recommend checking with staff on what they are accepting - they cant take things that wont move out of the store.
This is an amazing store with items prices to move in excellent, clean condition! I found the prices more than reasonable, but youd better be there everyday in order to grab stuff before it flies out! Be ready to park across the street and cross four busy lanes also because there is minimal parking and its usually full due to their great deals!
Review for their donation center. Compared with Goodwill and Salvation Army (the area stores) they seem to be much better managed. They do have some standards on donated items, but it seems to be logical and methodical. I feel things here are helpful for the community because of the way they manage resources.
Great place
GREAT selection of furniture, cabinets, tile, carpeting, lighting, appliances, kitchenware, etc. Super-friendly and cheerful staff and volunteers. Because this place is busy, the parking lot can fill up - so use the free strip mall parking lot across the street if necessary. Just be careful crossing Fuller St.
They have alot of different items. We were looking at a Matching Chair and Sofa for $225 and it was purchased by someone else as soon as we sat on it! Ill be returning to shop again. 😊
Started shopping here over a year ago and prices were VERY reasonable. I purchased many pieces of quality used furniture here for fair prices. However, as of last Fall/Winter the prices have gone up an exorbitant amount for the same quality furniture/appliances. The skepticist in me thinks that there may be some behind the scenes pocket padding going on. I say this because a few months back we inquired about the price on a small recliner chair to an employee named Christopher who walks around like he owns the place. We showed him the chair and he gave a crazy high price out of thin air and replied if you dont take it then I can just sell it somewhere else for more. Ill let anyone reading this make their own judgments as to what to take from this. As a whole they have really nice used items (I have never seen new furniture as they claim to have, but have seen new bathtubs/toilets/tile etc...) and it is well organized, but with the way the prices have been going up and up it is no longer economical for the average middle income adult to purchase from here unless you go on a day when they have special discounts. Might as well spend the same amount and buy new!
Excellent you must go. You will be greatly surprised. Wonderful bargains on beautiful things
Cheap. No new furniture, but all sorts of stuff at all price points and all quality levels. Stock changes frequently, so fun to stop by every week. Helpful staff.
If you like flea markets and garage sales, youll love this place! And you purchase goes for a good cause.
In comparison to the restore in Columbia County this place is very reasonable. We bought a sofa, an oversized sofa rocker and a vintage wooden chair for my art studio, and spent less than 300 for quality items. I will definitely return. Thank you to the two young men from RPI who helped load our truck.
Great selection, and I love the concept of a store based on reusing. The manager Stephan was also very helpful and friendly
I had some items to donate. Staff was helpful and guided to where I needed to be for the donations. I will definitely return to donate in the future.
Its a great concept and I would like to support habitat, but everything is so over priced! They wanted hundreds of dollars for BROKEN furniture, outdated electronics cost more than buying the same thing brand new! Not to mention the parking is awful!
Love this place. Find something new that I just have to have at like every visit! Great deals!
Great prices, obviously selection is open to constant change. Staff is great. Location is very cold in the winter.
I couldnt recommend the Restore more highly for buying anything household related. They have furniture, appliances, tools and construction materials, and now even a gift shop with pots & pans, books, and anything else you can imagine.I renovate homes for a living, and around half the tools and materials I use I find at the restore, for anywhere between 10% and 50% of their price anywhere else. Seriously... 10%!Their volunteers are extremely friendly and helpful; I couldnt ask for a better experience shopping there, and interacting with all the wonderful people that generously donate their time to Habitat for Humanity. I look forward to seeing some of them each week I go in.Their inventory changes all the time, so its worth going in on a regular basis to look around and see whats changed. Id say around 1/3 of their inventory is brand new (or looks that way), even with the discounted price. Definitely worth checking out!
Expensive for a place that is taking donations
Huge Warehouse full of used furniture. Some really great buys here. Some not so great. But for the most part things are priced fairly.
We love to shop here. We have purchased every thing from stemware to cabinets to store them in to chairs to admire them fro.!
One of the best places to browse and Shop in the capital region! Great deals to be had.
Amazing quality things for so little money! And its to support a not-for-profit, to boot! If you like deal hunting, this is the place for you!
They dont always have what youre looking for, but if they do its the best price youll ever find. Great staff and an easy to navigate layout make this a fun place to browse.
It was very nice there, everyone was helpful (the volunteers & staff ) when we picked up 13 cabinets that we purchased, very nice and will keep going back if ever need anything
Always a pleasure to buy something, always a pleasure to donate things!
Nice place for used normal stuff. Cant find a lot of stuff but maybe some limited things.
Not enough parking spaces, very high prices on old junk. Examples 225 for a broken barstool style chair, 20 dollars for outdated computer monitors, ancient appliances with pricetags comparable to new appliances. Would have better luck at a yard sale possibly even a dumpster. Will not be back.
WOW! Great prices on SO Many Great items. I have to try and prevent myself on going too much! Go here when you need just about anything household wise.
As a regular customer ive always felt comfortable with the staff at habitat and they always greet me with a warm welcome.
A great place for cabinets and furniture. Lots of miscellaneous odds and ends if youre on a budget this is the place to come.
People came to my house and picked up furniture donation .they were very professional, courteous and did a fine job many of the items were large and heavy, no problem!
I would like to discourage you from going here, so I can get all the good stuff.
Great selection great prices friendly staff
Great place to find a deal on for a home to fix or furnish and support a good cause.
Best Items Ive bought n just like new...people are wonderful n respectful...Decent affordable prices for the Indigent...
Great staff, nice things but some items are a bit pricey for this type of place.
Great finds at great prices. Nice, helpful staff.
Contributions to a great cause. I was able to purchase a sink that was perfect.
PEF help voluteer at the Restore. We had a wonderful time. Labor was in the house!!
Good prices... Nice furniture
Varied selection of things at good prices. Very nice staff!
Big place with great prices, if youre going in the winter dress warm!
I like was nice to work with good team Re Store the guys are nice to me and like work for the
First time there. Cheap quality furniture. Win win.
Best place to shop for great pieces of furniture at reasonable prices.
Nice place to get second hand or third hand furniture and such
Thr main building has mostly home goods, such as: tables, dresses, sofas, cabinets, and lighting. The building material items are located in there annex building just to the right of the main building, in the back. Suggestion: dont part in front, insted park to the right lower parking towards the annex building. Better and less congested.
Such a cool place. Its like an adventure each time I visit.
Went in just to check it out, lived looking through it. Will be going back.
Great finds at garage sale prices! Great staff.
Love, love, love. Great cause, friendly staff, always something good to find
Great place everything you buy the money gets donated to habitat for humanity
Great place to go when you need to furnish a whole apartment and good prices.
Botiqued pricing has gotten Waaay Too Close To Retail Pricing. That COULD be ok with SOME items, But NOT with EveryThing... Otherwise, I Would visit more often and spend a lot more there.I *Really* Hope Management Reads and addresses this issue... cause I would like to do more business here, other than regularly donating. Also: they do need to have two people at their registers -- or at least a second person to back up the first one with other duties that otherwise leaves the register and flow of check out at a stand still. It took me 10.minutes to check out with one box of screws from under that check out counter, and that is because 2 ladies let me in ahead of them..
Eww...hot, must, old, yucky stuff! Couldnt get out if there fast enough
Always a great selection. Helpful volunteers
For donated items some of the prices are pretty steep.
Great stuff. Great prices. Great people. Great cause.
Waaaay overpriced! Better quality goods at a garage sale.
Good prices the longer the furniture on the floor the cheaper it gets
I have my item to pick up from 70 fuller fuller rd, the employee gave me a phone # of man with a van. when call him he answered unproffessional, and I was ask unnesesary question by him.
This place is great. There are treasures to be found!
They have a varied assortment. But the prices seem kind of high
Great selection of furniture at cheap price that benefits a good cause
I love the mission of this store. This particular branch has a ton of building and home renovation materials, not so much home good materials
Over priced stuff they get for free! I dont mind paying for stuff but they think they are home depot they wanted more for a used tub than bargain outlet across the street!
I have been to this store numerous times. First time I went was to check it out, I had heard about it from a friend. Then I started donating items. I have picked up a couple of great pieces as well. Once I bought a metal bedframe, when I got it home realized it was an Ikea piece and it didnt have all of the necessary hardware (you cant rig Ikea pieces). I brought it back the next day (along with the print outs that I got online) and they gladly accepted it back. I will continue to support this store in everyway!
