Company has changed their name to Round Lake Auto Auto RepairONE STAR IS EXTREMELY GENEROUS, STAY AWAY.Update 4/7/2020 at the bottomI purchased a car from Serge February 19, 2020. I informed Serge that the brakes, tires, and rotors needed to be replaced prior to purchase and was assured that the issues would be taken care of on top of some other minor issues inside the car. When I picked up the car and realized they did not do the brakes, rotors, and tires I took the car to get an inspection and found out that the car should not have passed because of the tires and there was a loose tierod as well needing new brakes and rotors. When I took the paperwork back to the dealership and insisted they fix the issues with the vehicle they acted as if I did something wrong by getting an inspection somewhere other than their car lot because they did not do their job prior to selling me the car. They were extremely rude and disrespectful and even though they did replace the tires the tire rod and front brakes they did not do the back brakes Because the owner/mechanic told me I was not a mechanic and that the back brakes were not needed to be replaced. After leaving hoping to never have to go back there again my check engine light came on a few days after them doing the tires. I took the car to them and they replaced the secondary air bypass valve in my engine and then told me that I could not come back for any more issues, this was on March 5, 2020. Well doing the work they cleared off all the other codes that were wrong with the car and messed up my electrical system. I’ve put over $400 of my own money into this vehicle since purchase of regular maintenance that should have been done on the vehicle prior to purchase. I am writing this review in hopes that I will save someone the headache of buying a lemon from South Point auto Plaza. They will be the nicest people to you prior to purchase but is soon as you drive that car off the lot and have an issue they will be extremely disrespectful, dismissive, insulting, and just down right nasty about maintenance in vehicles but from them. As I’m sitting here writing this review today and a little over a month of me purchasing the car my car will not start.Update 4/7/2020:The response from South Point Auto is an example of how they really treat their customers and vehicles. DONT GO THERE! Im still repairing things on my vehicle that should have been done before a sale. Also, I could not take the refund. I purchased a extended coverage warranty through my Credit Union and I still would have had to repay them over $2000 if I took the refund. Also I have the paperwork from the failed inspection that I paid for a few days after I purchased the car. That is why they replaced tires and brakes on my $5,000 vehicle.

Just bought a 2016 Ford Fiesta from South Point Auto and it was a great experience all around. Hassib was great to work with, and very quick to reply to questions both before and after picking up the vehicle. He made the experience easy and painless, and was very friendly and accommodating. The staff were all very helpful in getting me into the car. The price was great, I got more for my trade-in than other dealers offered, and they were able to get me financed when others said no. Serge helped me get me into a car that I absolutely LOVE! Beyond grateful for how kind and helpful he was.

Drove over an hour to find out we were lied to about A/C not working in vehicle we looked at. We asked specifically about this before we made the trip because the parts to fix it are not manufactured anymore so that was a deal breaker despite the owners offer to have it fixed before we left the lot...which is not possible. The pictures of the vehicle online were also misleading. Big waste of time.

Pros: They had some cool vehicles and tried everything they could to fix the one I wanted. (I was unable to get it, but they did forewarn me that they were not planning on selling the vehicle to begin with, they wanted to auction it off).Cons: Condescending rude attitude, you have to call many times to get an answer. They will not call back when they say they will.

I bought a used pickup from the dealer and prior to bringing it home Joe said hell have it repaired. I didnt check it after the purchase to see that it was repaired. That first week it broke off when my wife stepped on it to get in the truck.The next day I contacted Joe and he said bring it in, drop it off and it will get fixed.Two weeks later I was able to get a ride back to Albany(2hours away) Joe told me it was fixed but he stepped on it to check it and it broke off. Does this look like it was repaired, welded and broke off?I dont see where I can post pictures to support this. I posted same message on Facebook and the pictures.

Im an auto transporter and it was picking up a vechile to transport. The sales person needed the electronic bill of laden. I wasnt fast enough for him and he started shoving 2 phones in my face hurry up I have 2 calls. He was extremely rude and unprofessional, my company will never pick up or drop off vechile for them again.

Purchased a 2013 Dodge Ram 1500 Sport with all the options I was looking for. Called the dealership and spoke with Sam; expressed my interest in the truck and my current credit situation. Sam assured me we could make the deal. Upon entering the dealership I found Sam to be very professional, knowledgeable, and most of all patient; at no time did I feel any pressure to purchase. After taking delivery of the truck and on my way home to Connecticut the check engine light came on. I had already planned on a tune up and after completing the tune up the light went off however there was a stored code indicating a misfire had occurred. I immediately contacted Sam and explained what was happening with the truck - Sam calmed me down and reassured me he would correct the issue and to bring it back. As it turned out, the Rams are having an issue with failing needle bearings in their lifters resulting in damage to the cam shaft and presenting as a misfire. Sam kept the truck and put me in a loaner until the repair was completed - the repair itself would be considered major engine work and would take some time to accurately diagnose and repair. Sam thoroughly explained the problem and kept me updated on their progress.Upon picking up the vehicle Sam introduced me to his mechanic and showed me the damage to the camshaft and explained the failure in great detail. Big shout out to Rich the mechanic; working until 10:00 PM Saturday night to get this fixed - truck runs strong and smooth. Great job Rich! In closing, I highly recommend South Point Auto Plaza; Sam and his team made the purchase a very pleasant and memorable experience. It was very obvious to me that South Point Auto Plaza is committed to customer satisfaction. I look forward to working with them in the future. Good people!

I emailed South Point Auto Plaza about couple cars and got a quick response. I was a bit confused how the process of buying a car is going to work now that there is a virus going around and business are closed. They explained the whole process and I felt comfortable to do a virtual facetime with Sam and look at a car I was most interested in. He was very thorough in the video and took his time and answered all of my concerns. I was advised to fill out a loan application online and I did so. I got a quick response of approval and then I scheduled an appointment for delivery. I was really impressed by the whole process and I would definitely recommend doing business with them. I usually dont leave reviews but I felt compelled to do so after the service I received.

Top notch. Friendly courteous and straight forward. I was in the market for a particular vehicle. I talked to Serge told him my unicorn I’m looking for he told me they had what I was looking for. I was looking for 3/4 or 1ton crew cab preferably diesel low miles. Well he showed me what they had ...went with a gas truck. Well it needed some service before I could take it. Serge let me know while waiting for the truck hey we just got a truck that fits what you are looking for and it’s a diesel. I went looked at it they said if you want it it’s yours. Mind you I already made the down payment on the other truck. They said no problem if this is the truck you really want it’s yours. Well I have my unicorn thanks to south point auto and the great people that work there. Oh yeah and had the truck a day had a small issue that needed to be fixed boom right in right out. Two edits, the latter being the most recent.Pretty good service, and their vehicles are at the right price. Sam is a good guy, and he truly does want to take care of his customers.EDIT:They sold me a truck (under 100k miles) without functioning air conditioning. I have called them to set up an appointment for them to hopefully fix it. Three times. Twice I was told I would be called back. Zero times have I been called back.Just after I bought what they assured me was a fully functioning truck, the four wheel drive did not engage, when I needed it in snow. They did replace the actuator to allow it to function. But this thing has NOT been 100% functional.Now, I also have the brake pad squealers going off indicating that the pads need to be replaced. They did not even do that before it was sold! This was ALSO after having to change the oil/oil filter and topping off the coolant within the first month and a half of owning it. Who, in good conscience, sells a vehicle AS A DEALERSHIP with old oil and worn brake pads? SERIOUSLY?If anyone were to ask me right now where they should get a vehicle, the last place I would say is South Point Auto Plaza. The customer service is all but nonexistant, and they do not sell vehicles that operate as they should!EDIT:However. they did get back to me, and they did set up an appointment to take a look at it. Awaiting the results now.Every dealership does have problems, but this one fixes theirs. They have done a good job with dealing with issues so far. And for that, I do recommend them.

The issue was not able to be resolved so they did their best to get me into a new shiny beautiful vehicle and I am beyond happy. I am extremely disappointed in the type of customer service I have received here at South Point Auto. I was looking to get a used car, my credit history is not great and I understand that. The car I wanted and that I applied for financing on, I received an automated text saying that car was sold. Then after contacting Serge about that he said well that’s why I asked you if you had a second choice. He should have told me the car I wanted wasn’t available but okay, fine. There was another car I liked so I was willing to proceed. Then, I received no updates about my application status, when I made a few attempts to inquire about it, I was belittled about my credit history. And brushed off, as if my business doesn’t matter. Places like destination nissan and denoyeer chevrolet have taken the time to stay in touch with me and communicate. And I was approved at those places as well as Carvana. After reading some of the reviews, I feel as if though I dodged a bullet. So thanks for being one of the worst places that I have dealt with. No one should be belittled or humiliated about their credit, get off your high horse and humble yourself!!

Although I will say we looked at a different vehicle he recommended and I told him I would think about. I emailed him back with questions and he never replied.

Bought a vehicle from there at the end of June... I’ve had to replace brake lights, tpms sensor, running lights, battery, and air filters... a couple of those issues they “fixed” before I picked up the car. When I went to buy the car, they didn’t have the title for it so I had to wait another week to pick it up. Great customer service but disorganized. I understand I bought a used vehicle and some things are just wear and tear, however how did it pass inspection with lights out?

Purchased a car few weeks ago from them. All I can say it’s been headache. I was told not to go to them.... I wish I have listened to other. So here I am stuck with a terrible mistake that I have made. Don’t go here save your money.....

Bought my 2014 Jeep Patriot from Serge an I love it. He greeted me with a warm welcome an was happy to assist me. He also helped me get a car payment I can afford plus a 2 year powertrain warranty. Plus he helped me get a way lower rate for insurance from gieco when everyone else was trying to charge $50-$75 more a month. He really works with you an wants to make sure you leave happy an satisfied.

I hate having to go back and forth to haggle over pricing and financing. If there is a problem they will solve it. These people are Beyond Rude the car that I bought from this place broke down two months after my warranty ended (90 day warrenty on 20 thousand dollar car) and hasnt turned back on since. The dealership refuses to help with this issue. They sold me a rigged car and seemed very sly and suspicious at the time of sale I figured this was due to cultural difference reasons but save yourself the money and go somewhere safe these people are thieves.

Had to make repairs to the vehicle the week I bought it, needed new tires, car had no oil, a small hole in the exhaust pipe and needs a new head gasket. If it was cheaper or I could get a partial refund to cover repairs I would have been a lot happier.
