If you like LL Bean, this store is big and wide open. Its in a building attached to an indoor mall. Its much more pleasant than other stores that are stuck in malls. The product selection is a bit different than other LL Bean stores in NY or CT. One surprise here is that the staff are over the top nice, helpful, go out of their way to assist you. I feel like Im shopping at an upscale shop. Good experience.

Love this store. The staff are always very helpful and even patient with my 6 year old. This is my familys go to store. Yes, more expensive then other stores but the quality is higher. If find something you can always order online if they do not have the size you need. So easy!

I just went with my brother in-law to return some socks he had bought that he felt didnt feel or fit right. The service was exceptional. They listened, helped him find a replacement, made sure he felt comfortable with the new socks. And on top of all of that they went beyond. There was a sale on for a certain percentage off and gave him that price so he paid less than his original purchase price. The young lady and gentleman who both helped were great examples of how Customer Service should be. This is a place I would recommend.

Very disappointed in the LL Bean store at Colonie Center and will not shop there anymore.It s basically 3 strikes and youre out, Bean.Over the course of a year, the bad outweighs any perceived value of bothering to shop there.1st: purchased a pair of primaloft gloves and they were not as warm as promoted. The capper, though, was that the stitching in the seams of the fingers and sides of the gloves came apart in less than a month. Exchanged for a new pair that now sit in a drawer since I found Eddie Bauer Lodge Down Gloves. (The Eddie Bauer gloves are great!)2nd: bought a pair of boots on sale. They were not warm nor did they keep my feet dry at all. I actually checked them for cracks. They did not perform at all as advertised.When I returned them, with receipt, I was treated poorly by the counter staff. They acted incredulous that someone would bring back their merch. Rude and curt would describe their behavior. So sorry I expected pricey boots to be worth it.3rd: bought a headlamp I was assured would provide years of service. It quit in a matter of months. New batteries made no difference. There is no corrosion in the battery compartment. Mislaid the receipt, but brought the device back with packaging and logo information. Was refused a refund or exchange.Their much vaunted product guarantee, satisfaction guarantee is not to be believed.Their merchandise quality has gravely slipped while prices remain unreasonably high. And now, apparently they no longer stand behind their products.Avoid.Go to the Eddie Bauer outlet store in Northway Mall (across Central Ave. from Colonie Center) instead. Youll get better merch at a better price and youll get a thank you! What a stunning development, lol!

For 65 years I was measured for shoe size. Only at LLBean did the shoe salesman measure both of my feet. One foot was one size larger. That solved alot of issues. Bean is the best.

I am so glad that this is a shopping option in the area. The store is a mini version of what you can find at the flagship store in Maine. Staff is so helpful and store is clean and well organized. We return as often as we can.

Very pleasant experience. Went looking for hiking footwear for our son for Cub Scouts. We were immediately greeted by Marissa upon entering the footwear area, told her what we were looking for, were provided some feedback, and were given prompt service. We got what we were looking for (at a very reasonable cost for what I expect from L.L. Bean), made our purchase, and were happily on our way. Bonus - the employee at the register gave all our kids, including our 16-month-old, one of the summer adventure booklets.. Definitely a hit! Great visit, job well done, we will be back!

While many of the items may fall on the pricier side, LL Bean offers products of superior quality and customer satisfaction. The store has a Northeast cabin ambiance. When you walk in, it feels like youre in an Adirondack getaway. This store is by far the most popular at the Colonie Center Mall. Even if you are not an outdoorsy person, you are bound to find something that peaks your interest.

LL bean jackets are good but the store can provide better customer service.Please tell your staff to be more welcoming to the guests. Sadly a saleswoman at the desk didnt seem very happy after a price inquiry for a jacket.Working at an expensive store does not mean that you have a better position then others and you are still just a sales person and be friendly to customers.

This is a tiny store compared to the Flagship store in Freeport

I bought my son a pair of shoes in late August, after a week the shoes had tear and worn out. Since LL Bean has the free return or exchange policy, I decided to wait for a while. Today I went in the store to try to exchange it, the store refused to honor its famous policy told me it is normal tear and wear, if I was not satisfied with the shoes, I should have returned it within a week. It was a shock to me because on the receipt I got it is clearly stated thatif you are not 100% satisfied with one of our products, you may return it within one year if purchase for a refund....”I cant believe an honest store wouldnt honor their written policy. Not even mention that the poor quality of their products, I will not buy a single thing from this store anymore!

Almost always LL Bean is a constant 5 stars....However this occasion was the exception. Our clerk was less than helpful and honestly didnt know the difference between her rear-end or her elbow. Unfortunately her contemporaries werent of much help either. With that said, the cloths here are rugged and made to last so while the service on this occasion gets 2 stars Ill give the items purchased 5 stars in my review.

Easy to find whatever you need. Its a clean store and well organized. The staff are friendly and helpful. They always have a large range of clothing sizes in stock. The checkout lines can be long, mostly because they are asking every customer to spell their name, email, and address so they can track every purchase.

They had everything that I needed, and other items that I wasnt even looking for. But, I figured Im here now and these other things will come in very handy, so I splurged a little, glad I did. Good store.

Great quality clothes. It is a high price but it’s worth it. I personally don’t go here for camping gear (witch they do sell) so I can’t really say that it’s good as well. The atmosphere is very home feeling and almost like a log cabin.

The employees are visible and professional. They are able to get the answers you need about the merchandise. I have not been disappointed by any online or store bought purchases. Its great quality.

Love...love this store. Great customer service and products. I had one of the nicest shoe rep helping me and 2 other sibling with purchasing boots. We must have tried on 6 pairs... bravo for such caring service.

High-quality goods but somewhat overpriced. They do use higher quality materials and the clothing looks decent, so its all fair. They have a discount outlet in Lake George Outlets complex which has a huge selection and much better prices - go there if you like this style. Last season we all bought techwear LL Bean Gore-Tex jackets from the outlet. The jackets are amazing - we would never go back to regular fabrics after Gore-Tex. You can walk for 30 min in medium rain and didnt get wet. They also carry Polartec jackets similar to Gore-Tex. Overall, their Gore-Tex and Polartec lines are probably the best bang for the buck if you are into outdoor and tech wear. Google techwear if the term is unfamiliar to you - its a revolution in fabrics and quality of outdoor wear and LL Bean is a decent choice.

When you us to go into a store like this they had sizes for all now they say well you can go non line. This is why sales are better on line. If there going to send you or you have to order it whats the sence

Also dealt with a gentleman I wish I could recall his name his was amazing! Took his time with our online order and had phenomenal customer service. Thank you ! Not a super big store, but a decent size. Got a huge kayaking section and also a biking section right up front, then clothing and camping stuff toward the center. Got a really nice selection of walking sticks from the good ol fashioned wood ones all the way to new age aluminum and carbon adjustable poles that look like ski poles.If you are into outdoor activities, this is your one stop shop store. But also very cool just to check out.

Didnt have the item that was pictured online in store. I was never approached by staff about needing help. Others were asked......but three employees walked right by me seeking out others to help. I sincerely hope it had nothing to do with the fact that Im African American? Id prefer to believe that it was a case of POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

I had an amazing customer service experience here tonight! I had some ordering issues with a new winter coat and Joy Lynn (hope thats her name!) made sure I got what I needed!

The staff could not have been anymore attentive, and productive in helping me to find exactly what I was looking for. It was very clear to me everyone works as a team at this location. I especially want to give special recognition to the young woman, Chelsea, who took care of checking me out at the customer service desk.

Quality of moccasins which use to be the gold standard has tanked!! Check out the stitching. Return policy has been amended as well. There clothing is good quality but over priced. You are paying for convenience of smoking for outdoor items under one roof. Cheaper and equally as good quality elsewhere. The employees are sweet and helpful. You have to decide if you want the LL Bean name or something nice for cheaper. All said and done, it remains a beautiful store.

I love the brand, but I really wish they would streamline checkout. It would be great if they had a separate section for returns so Im not stuck behind six people trying to return pajamas they bought in the 80s when all I am trying to do is buy a gift card.

Used to love LL Bean. Shopping LL my entire lufe. This store experience is just boring. Overpriced. Online shipping fees. Ive fallen away. No longer even ship here for holiday gifts.

The staff was unfriendly and unhelpful. I never experienced worse service. Made me feel uncomfortable and unwanted. There are so many alternatives out there. Really! The sneakers I bought around August 10, 2018 were uncomfortable so I needed to return them. No Problem because I ordered them from LL Bean...they have a One year return policy if I am unsatisfied. Apparently the return policy advertised on your site and on several plaques at your store is wrong? I was denied the return by line level associate Laura. She then brought over a supervisor who never identified herself. I was informed that LL Bean only guarantees defect in manufacturing and I should have returned the shoes in August. I live over an hour away from the LL Bean store so I waited until I had another reason to go to Albany to be productive. Both the line level associate and the supervisor were rude and made me feel uncomfortable. They treated me like I was trying to reach into their wallet and take their money. All I was doing was following the printed return policy at a convenient time.Yes, I eventually received my return but they attempted to lecture me on how the shoes now needed to be thrown in the trash. Good! They were horrible and Im glad they are going in the trash.
