This is the first time Ive done a MTG pre release, and only the 2nd time in the shop, the first was long ago and I had only bad experiences at that point. This time was different,. The people were friendly and the owner/manager/staff person? Was super friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and had a good time. Ill be back for sure.

This is the best comic book shop in Oregon, maybe the country. The owner is an extremely likeable person and knowledgeable. Shop is well maintained, its always lively with some sort or event going on. All around, the best comic book shop ever!

This is a great place to get back issues. I have been searching high and low to get back issues for my Amazing Spider-Man (2018) series. This place had several issues to fill in the holes in my collection and I paid less than cover price for them.These guys have earned my continued support.

Every time I have gone to Wicked, the owner is impatient and condescending, even if Im the only shopping customer in the store. Instead of just answering any questions politely, he will have to add an unnecessary comment to belittle you. Wont be going back and reccomended you give your money to a respectable business.

My first trip to Wicked was in the middle of the stores preparation for moving to their new location. Things were a bit disorganized, understandably so. I was able to find a few back issues of comics, but any of the newer products I wanted were not present.I had a good conversation with, the owner who was very accommodating and offered a subscription service for books I was looking for over a playlist of heavy rock from the likes of Marilyn Manson, and others.My second trip to Wicked after their move was much shorter lived. I stopped in to see if they had any new release comics and the rack was more sparse than my original visit. Their back issues of comics were just on the ground, seemingly removed from their place so Magic the Gathering players could have table for their endless weekend gaming. This was probably a week and a half after they opened their doors at the new location but there was no organization improvement over their books than my previous visit.This is a small owner-operated store, so I understand some of my feedback is more critical than it may need to be, and based mostly off my experience at stores in adjacent towns or bigger cities. If you enjoy Magic, this looks to be the perfect place to head to in Albany to find a game and cards. Magic and other card games keeps hobby shops afloat so its perfectly understandable for that to be a major part of the experience. Other facets of the experience, though, comics and board games, namely, seem under represented and for me personally, will keep me looking elsewhere for my nerdy fixes.

From my experience at this store I will not be going back again. The owner is a conceited a** his short answers lack of information on anything but magic and cocky attitude really make it unappealing to spend any money in his store. Been like that all three times I have been in. Other stores in town with the same if not better selection and better customer service.

The employee I talked with was great, and the selection of items is great for the size of it.

Owner is very helpful. Not a huge selection of back issue comic but there are deals to be found if you collect to read and like new releases. Mostly focused on magic with plenty of release parties and tournaments. Great place overall.

Cant ask for a better place or variety of on hand available cards and products. This is a place you should get all your gaming items. Check out this online cards and give them a ring to get the inside scoop on what they have to offer.

The owner Kevin Pico was extremely rude, tried to rip off a couple people while in the shop and even flirted with my girlfriend while I was looking at cards.. I will never return and advise anyone else too go else where.

Man behind the counter seems genuinely disinterested in helping customers and more interested in having a casual chat with the regulars. Not a lot of stock but, understandable for a small store in a city. Fine place to stop to walk in, get a booster, and walk out. I would recommend Salem or Corvallis for trades or single selection.

This place is where you want to go if you love comics, magic or any other cool collectable you are in search of. Very knowledgeable and has a great understanding of current comic book trends. When people ask where I get my comics from its here. I really hope dungeons and dragons comes to wicked. Plenty of room to play table top games.

Wicked always treats my kids and I so well! The owner goes out of his way to explain things to us and often throws in little gifts for the kids. Super friendly and helpful.

If you like Magic the Gathering, then this is the place to be for all FNM and events related to the game. Kevin is by far the most generous proprietor in the area when it comes to prize support. The heavy metal music isnt really my thing, but its not overly distracting when playing. There is an extensive comic book collection and all kinds of oddities and collectible toys and games. Support your local game store and buy your product there instead of the corporate giants like Wal-Mart, Target and god forbid Amazon!

Staff member was kind of rude and disinterested and unhelpful. He also gave off a very slight sleezey/creepy vibe. The FNM regulars seemed very close-knit and not super into outsiders. Id recommend driving a little further for a different shop if you can.

I absolutely love this store! Firstly the sense of community is wonderful. I attend the MTG pre-release events with my Fiancé and every time I have gone everyone has been so supportive, they readily offer advice and help me understand the game a little more each time I go. The people here genuinely seem to really care about each other. The in person experience is so vastly different than anything you could get playing MTG online. The sense of community is a testament to the shop owner Kevin honestly; he really cares about his customers and interacts with them on a personal level. He takes the time to schedule events around the majority instead of just setting a time and hoping people show up. He’s considerate and thoughtful enough to help out someone running late by getting their packs of cards sorted and ready for them. The MTG events are a great opportunity to get out of the house and meet friendly new people. Kevin will go out of his way to look up an item if it’s not readily on hand even when he’s busy. It’s really fantastic to see a store owner interact with their customers as people rather than a means of income. It’s not just cards here though, there’s some fantastic collectible figures in stock and plenty of really amazing comics being offered for reasonable prices (There’s a few things I’m saving up for at the moment actually). Wicked is seriously the best collectibles shop in town.A side note: I’ve been to plenty of card shops that have hardly any lighting and smell like a teenage boy’s neglected gym bag. NOT HERE. This place smells so good! I can’t describe it but honestly I wish my laundry detergent smelled even half as nice. It’s just clean, it feels and looks so clean here. The lighting to me is spot on, it’s not blinding but it’s bright and you can see your cards without squinting. I wish I could give a 6th star just for the atmosphere but 5 will have to do.

If you like MTG this is a good place for you. They host a few different game nights and are currently looking to start hosting D&D. Aside from the set up for card games and D&D they have a decent selection of an assortment of nerddom. The guy behind the counter was helpful and offered good information. The best part was walking in to heard Dragonforce playing over the sound system. Great choice in power metal and in my opinion the most fitting of music in a shop like this. If the guy behind the counter isnt the owner I seriously hope he doesnt get in trouble for the selection of music because the Dragonforce and other power metal that was played was quite fitting. I look forward to returning.

First time visiting this shop and took the person over five minutes to greet or ask if I needed any sort of assistance. The overall selection of books is limited. The comics in the boxes are not very well organized. I have no intention of returning.

Very great place to hangout with friends,especially on fridays. every friday they do magic tournaments and I played my very first one yesterday. Wicked Comics & Collectibles has a friendly and helpful atmosphere.

Walked into the store to buy merchandise wasnt greeted or acknowledged as a customer waited in line for 10 minutes and finally left I am never coming back.
