I guess I should have read the reviews before ordering furniture. I am also experiencing the same problem with the delivery being moved 3 times so far. It will be 5 months since ordering. The worst part is they have charged me thousands of dollars for 2 sofas and the sofas are not even in their warehouse yet. I get the port issues, but this has nothing to do with that.DONT CHARGE FOR ITEMS YOU HAVENT EVEN VERIFIED AND CHECKED INTO YOUR WAREHOUSE!DAH!So now I am having to deal with the customer service, leadership, supposedly..., in a battle of them twisting what is happening.All I say is dont charge until you actually have merchandise in hand, checked and verified, and an actual delivery date. This is what was told to me when I ordered. No charges until ready for delivery.They say they cant reverse the charges and then recharge. I say b

Furniture is beautiful, and the store itself is very warm and cozy. Unfortunately, It is clear that west elm either trains their employees to be pretentious, or hire people that way. They profile people who come in based on age and clothing, and avoid anyone who doesn’t look like they can “afford” their store. Also no prices on any items and I found myself having to look up items to ask prices because no workers even bothered to acknowledge my boyfriend and I :/

I had nothing but good experiences here. I’m not quite sure about the bad reviews. But Covid is making deliveries delayed in all industries. We should know that by now. They have a great staff and quality merchandise. I come here for unique gifts for family and friends!

West Elm should be ashamed charging 2kfor a couch that I ordered in February that had a May delivery date and now it’s pushed back till September(maybe). I had no idea about the delays until I called and was placed on hold serveral times for you to find out nothing.For a high end furniture company, your customer service is terrible, your ability to adhere to delivery dates is unbearable and your disinterest in fixing the problem aside from weak apologizes is embarrassing.Do better.

West Elm has beautiful furniture and decor. You can buy the furniture but don’t expect to ever receive it. Expect to pay almost $1000 for a table, have the delivery date moved 5 times, and STILL not have a table. It’s been almost three months now. I’ve talked to the store 2-3 times and I’m told to just keep waiting. I talked to customer service 2-3 times and they told me to wait. They even reissued my order and the delivery date is still getting moved. I tried tweeting West Elm and they’re just telling me to call customer service again - the same people who aren’t able to get us the table. We are ready to cancel the order but guess what??? The store told us we couldn’t cancel until the table arrives because it’s “en route already.” How does that make sense? So West Elm has our money but we can’t have the table. AND my parents bought a table from West Elm as well and they’re experiencing the same thing. They still don’t have a table they paid for with delivery dates moved and moved and moved. I will never shop at West Elm again. Lesson learned.

Purchased a bed frame in Early December. It is now mid-March. Without an explanatory email or courtesy call-I have been shipped single bits and pieces of the frame over the course of 3 months. (Still missing key pieces) The ship-date keeps moving back in week intervals with no truth as to when the rest of it will actually arrive.Post office doesn’t have it so that excuse is just a lie.They have time to bombard me with advertisements literally all day- how about take a minute to tell me what is going on with my shipment?Looks like covid has become an excuse to continue taking money from their customers with no actual intention of making the goods we’ve purchased. Just a bunch of smoke and games.

I ordered an office chair and was told it would come fully assembles then it shows up in pieces! No offer for white glove delivery either. I would have purchased elsewhere if I knew this was the case.

Called explaining we were seeking organic furniture as my husband has scent issues and can’t purchase anything that has treated wood. When we showed up the store was so filled with air freshener it was sickening and the salesperson was not knowledgeable at all about their organic line which ran about $4k. No thanks.

Very disappointed in West Elm. My daughter has a brand new mid century convertible crib that we moved and lost all the bolts and hardware to put it together. I have contacted West Elm customer service and the store multiple times and they cannot get replacement parts for me to purchase. All the bolts are odd sizes and I have searched the internet for the right size bolt with no success. I now have to purchase bolts and cut them to fit provided I have the right cutting tool to do it without ruining screw threads. Pretty bad product support for a $700 crib.

Very disappointed in their pick up in store. Ordered items on line on a Sunday, got a text by Monday that the items were ready for pick up. Went to store and picked up. Got home and all my items were not there. Called the store and I was apologized to and told my items would be ready right away for pick up. Two days later, I go to store and am handed a bag that I was smart enough this time to open, not my items at all! Not even close! Now I have made two trips to this store and the order is still incorrect. They immediately got my items and apologized saying well make this right. Making it right would be giving me some kind of discount for my inconvenience or something. But nothing but wasting my time and gas to have to get the items I actually ordered. Their customer service is poor and they could use some lessons in empathy, as there was no sensitivity to my inconvenience. Will never shop at West Elm again

Recently bought the mid-century platform bed. The quality of the product is great, we opted for a delivery to the local store since the price of in home delivery is outrageous. Let me stress that putting this piece of furniture together will consume you for hours (took me about 5 hours to assemble). The instructions are terrible (no text) and the product is heavy. Im a fairly strong guy and had a hard time assembling by myself. Bribe your friends or save up and pay someone to do it.For the price the instructions need to be more detailed and the design of the assembly process needs to be revisited and improved.

I ordered custom chairs and the salesperson ordered them in the wrong color. I went to the store to have them returned and refunded, and they sent me a gift card instead. I called about the gift card mistake, they apologized, and said it would be refunded in 5 business days. 5 business days later, it has still not been refunded. I called the store and the manager gave me the 1800 customer service number that I can find online. The store caused all these mistakes. Thanks a lot.

Decent place. They have a lot of different home goods but I feel like their local section was a little lacking. Maybe we missed other stuff but I only saw things from two different artists. We also waited at the counter for a bit to make our purchase, one woman came over to get scissors from the counter, awkwardly looked at us and then walked away, not even a, Ill be with you in just a moment, kinda weird.

What a rip off, the whole store is overpriced. The furniture is sub-par quality and the dishware is very cheap looking. Better off going to a marshalls or homegoods even a bed bath beyond has better prices.

I had a terrible experience getting the bed I ordered. It took 3 delivery tries to finally get it. first time no bed. second try just the headboard and when I asked for a first thing in the morning delivery after the runaround theyd already given me not only did I not get an early delivery, they showed up late, 12pm.
