We bought multiple plants yesterday here. Their selection was very nice and the plants were in good shape. The staff was very knowledgeable and extremely helpful, suggesting other similar plants once they knew what we were looking for. Very friendly staff! We will be back.

Staff are all so friendly and helpful. Extra kind to kids. We went for a quick plant grab, but stayed for the kind education and fun fish experience.

Seriously this is the best nursery Ive ever been to. They have everything you could ever need, from the plants (TONS of varieties) to the bulk soil and other landscape stuff you need. The staff was friendly and fun to work with and the prices are very good. We had an absolute field day at this place. SO fun!! I cant wait to go back.

And excellent customer service!I ordered bark dust for delivery at 2pm, but on the day of delivery, I realized it was going to rain the following day and I would have time to get it all spread. These guys are fantastic! They were all SO FRIENDLY and courteous, something that is lacking in businesses these days. They were very reasonably priced and were able to deliver to me the SAME DAY! I would give them 10 stars if I could!

Was dumped in the wrong spot in the yard entirely without making one attempt to contact me.

I wanted some ideas of soil needed and getting some tiger lilies to get started in my daughters yard. I DECIDED Id do this for her birthday this week! They suggested I give her a gift certificate for her birthday and even delivered thst to her with bouquet of flowers for me so they could tell her were and how many plants would make it look nice too! Very kind & helpful! I can hardly wait to go there myself and get some plants! They have the knowledge and experience to provide healthy soil, healthy plants and great information to help me figure this out!

Very nice and helpful. Couldnt find 4foot wide weed barrier anywhere in town. Called them and they got plenty. 2 employees helped me out and couldnt have been nicer. Wish I could remember their names. Think the gal might have been Stephanie.

Outstanding customer service and affordable plants

Great price for a rock if you get it by the dump truck load when they can deliver straight from the rock quarry. Wasnt expecting a nursery to have the best price on rock but called around and they did. Ive had good experiences picking up bark dust and dirt at the nursery as well.

I have ordered from U&D Nursery before and I had not had issues with them until now. I ordered fill dirt, and when I got had it delivered it had pieces of pvc piping, plastic, garbage wrappers and sod plastic netting. When I went in to talk to them about the fill dirt and looked at the prices on products information, no where on there does it say that plastic could be expected. There is no information anywhere regarding the type of junk that could be on the fill dirt. When I talked to the Owner, Walt, he was very grumpy and did not want to hear what I had to say. Instead tells me to either take half of a refund and to hell with me. I have worked in customer service before, and to tell a customer to Hell with you is not a way to run a business. I did not want to go to a place of business and be verbally insulted by the Owner and be treated that way. I am no LONGER GOING TO BE DOING BUSINESS WITH A PLACE THAT DISRESPECTS ITS CUSTOMERS. I did not deserve to be mistreated like that when all I wanted to know why there was plastic on my fill dirt and how they could rectify the issue. I RECOMMEND NOT BUYING FROM THIS PLACE!!! I would rather go to the Bark Place instead. I called them while I was at U&D and talked to the owner of Bark Place and he was very respectful and straight forward and told me what was in their fill dirt. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE INSULTED AND MISTREATED BY THE OWNER, DO NOT GO TO U&D!!!! They have lost my business and any respect I had for them.

Bid a backflow test for 7/23 and took payment in advance, but couldnt give an approximate time, so I took the day off and waited all day, and no-one came. They called two days later to offer to have me take more time off work. After not doing the job they bid, they have so far kept the money. Not even an apology for the lost day of work. Their replacements I hired had no problem coming out around my schedule. Shop around!

Ive gone to U&D through out the years for plants and soil, rocks and its been good. In the last couple of months we have gone there and purchased a tree and inquired about shrubs and the care of some of our other trees. The young blond woman who works there has been very helpful. She knows her stuff. We have found our go-to person for our tree and plant care. We will continue to go there.

Best place for all your landscape supplies

U and D has great plants but like their mulch products. I have used their rock, gravel, bark dust, and compost. All excellent products. Good service and reasonable prices. I highly recommend U & D.

This last weekend, my wife and I purchased five yards of material (three bark and two soil) from U&D Nursery. We chose U&D because we have purchased many plants and products, as well as smaller amounts of soil, from U&D in the past, and we have always been very happy with the quality, cost, and customer service we have received. We are customers both of the nursery and of the stand at the Albany Farmers Market.Unfortunately, in this instance, we did not receive the good customer service we had come to expect from U&D. The driver, who dumped our load, dumped the bark out first, using our rake (which he broke). He separated it into two different piles. Then he dumped out the dirt ON TOP of the second pile of bark! We had been told that, since we were buying two products, there might be some ‘minimal mixing in the truck during delivery’ (these are the exact words used to describe what might happen). However, what actually DID happen was NOT a bi-product of two products or of the delivery. It was caused by the driver’s laziness and incompetence in dumping one product one on top of the other. Now, we have a pile bark, covered with dirt, a broken rake, and a huge mess with two unusable products. Needless to say, we are extremely upset and disappointed.What upsets us most is the lack of customer service we received when we called to discuss options for remedying the situation. The woman who answered implied this mess is our fault for ordering two products.The next day the owner sent an email and offered $15 to replace my $40 rake.If U&D does not have the capability of delivering two products without dumping one on top of the other, they should not even agree to deliver a mixed load. We feel the two products could have been delivered, without so very much mixing, if the driver had simply used a little more time and care when he dumped them. He didn’t--and now we have about one yard of an unusable mixed mess of bark and dirt. We are very disappointed and upset.We have always enjoyed shopping at U&D, both at the nursery and at the Farmers Market. We have purchased numerous products and plants and appreciated the advice and good customer service we have come to expect. Unfortunately, we will have to take our business elsewhere, because we refuse to give our hard-earned money to a business that doesnt accept responsibility for their employees’ mistakes—one that goes so far as to imply that the problem is OUR fault. We do have other options for landscaping products, and we will have to exercise them in the future. We will also make sure to tell our friends and family about our experience, to save them the same disappointment and upset in the future.

If you need more information about your plants, if youre having a hard time getting your yard looking good - you need U&D Nursery. These guys know SO much about making things work in the Willamette Valley. Highly recommend!

I wanted to write again to share this photo of Blaze plant caretaker w/ the MOTHER 57 Year old Jade tree. This Mother may be the largest in Oregon....its a great treat to come in and visit the Mother. This pic was taken in February, Mother was in FULL BLOOM!

Been doing business with U and D for decades, very pleased with products, especially their organic compost.

If there was less than one star I would use that.There product is full of weeds and they tell you that it is supposed to produce weeds because its meant to make things grow. We now have morning glory, thistle, and night shade ONLY where we put their product. It was not there before. Dont use them for anything!

Went to order soil for delivery. Followed distances rules. Get up to desk to order and was asked to wait while lady looking through tickets of orders. She then says i will be right back and goes outside and starts to help lady that was behind me in line. Will take my business elsewhere.

I knew someone who worked here and he was treated very poorly by fellow staff and a supposed manager. Definitely not a place I give my business to.

I have purchased my tomato plants from U & D for the past 5-6 years, last year was the first time I was unhappy. The plants I purchased were not labeled correctly & I ended up with tomato plants that I did not want. I just figured there had been some mix up & that it was a just a rare oversight. However it happened again this year, I purchased tomato plants that were labeled incorrectly & instead of growing the plant types I had intended I have a garden full of plants I dont want. There is no way to do anything about this so I have ended up pulling 7 of the 10 plants I purchased. Out of the 10 plants (none should have been cherry) all except 2 were cherry or small salad. I have the small yellow pear type coming up volunteer in garden every year so I would not buy more but that is exactly what has happened. I will not be returning to this nursery to purchase garden plants again.I have also purchased their mulches & barks for years, & was always satisfied until this last season. The mixed compost which is suppose to be seasoned/aged enough to reduce the weed seeds.....the product I was sold in the spring of this year was not what I paid for. It will take me a lot of work & time to remove all the weeds from my garden spot as a result of that compost. I may as well have dumped straight out of the barn cow crap would of been as weedy. So I am done and will no longer be a customer of this nursery nor would I ever advice anyone else too. I have never submitted a review on my opinions of a business before but the dissatisfaction I have towards this place has exceeded my ability to be silent.

I phoned the morning of a delivery and verified that it would be 2 pm. And again I was called to say the delivery would be at 2 pm. I arrived at the site at 1:45 and found that the mulch I ordered had already been dumped. And it was in the wrong location which will require us to haul it much farther than would have been necessary. In other words, dont trust their customer service.

If you LOVE succulents....you must visit!This nursey propagates 75 percent of their succulent greenhouse which keeps the prices ...LOW!!!Staff member Kadijah took.extra special care of my needs. I could tell she LOVES the plants as much as I do.I was introduced to the MOTHER whom is a 56 year old Jade Plant. The biggest in Oregon. You will not be disapointed.
