This is my second experience at Colby Body & Fender Works and both have been amazing. The first time, I was recommended to go here when my last vehicle was dinged in a parking lot. They were able to pop the dings, fix the paint, and you could not even tell it was repaired. This time, I scuffed and dented the rear bumper on my brand new, 3 day old truck, while backing in a trailer. I was so happy with my last experience I went straight back to this shop without even considering a second opinion. I told them I was paying out of pocket and they cut me a good deal. I dropped my truck off and a day and a half later they replaced and painted a new bumper for a reasonable price. The truck looks brand new again. The quality of their work and their customer service is amazing. I couldnt be happier with the service I received and Clint was absolutely excellent to work with.

Steve and Deidre are the absolute best! I damaged the driver side mirror. They were so kind and thorough and fast. If you need a body shop, don’t look any further! The long list of good reviews are very accurate. I don’t usually write reviews but I had to take a second to give credit where credit is due. No surprises here. They know what they are doing and will not cut corners or over charge you. Happy that I came here!

Had a very great experience with this shop . Overall I have to say the owner is very well mannered is hands on with each car down to the fine details which is what you would expect but this place actually delivers all around full service from the moment you enter the business to the moment you leave . My drivers side door was keyed, not real deep, so I hoped to get it repaired with out a respray. The professionals at Colby did a phenomenal job of making the scratch disappear. Clint, Deidre, and crew did a fabulous job of making my car great again. My customized Fiat not only travels like new with tight straight down the road steering, it looked, and smelled like the odometer was swirled back from 133K to zero. They detailed the car inside and out. I wish I took a photo of the car the other day when it was presented as job complete.Bottom line, they were very communicative and went the extra mile to discover added work my insurance company needed to cover.

Parked on the sidewalk by their shop, didnt need an appointment, very nicely greeted by Lee who walked with me to my car to assess the damage on my poor little car (Can someone tell me how a bright colored car gets hit?? I totally do not appreciate feeling like Im a ragdoll in a bumper car... le sigh). He got down to it! Literally, he got down on his hands, looked carefully below, rubbed my rims on my car, etc. He also explained things very clearly. Im planning on taking my car here!

Clint quoted me significantly less than another shop, and even came in under budget on his original quote. I really appreciated that since I was paying out of pocket. Even with the short time table, the work they did was pristine, from the body work to the paint down to the detailing. We got the car back cleaner than when we dropped it off, really nice touch. About a month ago I bought a 2016 Honda I only had it for 4 weeks I parked my car and went into a restaurant when I came out someone had hit it and taken off. I brought my car to Lia Honda where I bought it they gave me an estimate I was going to have it done there but I saw the reviews for Colby auto and decided to bring it there and I am so very happy I did. I picked up my car today and it was showroom new. Cliff and his staff are tremendous and they go above and beyond to make make sure you are satisfied. I am absolutely blown away by the service at Colby. A had a fairly minor dent in my front bumper, took it in for an estimate on a Friday morning. Clint (the owner) immediately came out and introduced himself, took a look at my car. I have never felt more welcome or more comfortable at any type of car-related place. While I didnt have him actually replace my bumper - he did pop the dent out and touch up the paint, all for the cost of a cup of coffee. While I cant personally review Colbys body work, I can say that their customer service is incredible.

I have never experienced such great customer service! The owner and everyone who works there are very friendly and their number one priority is pleasing their customers. I needed part of my front bumper buffed out. When I came to pick up my car, they not only buffed out the mark but several other blemishes around my whole car. AND they washed it. I came into Colby with busted windshield wipers in the middle of the storm on Friday. They dropped what they were doing to fix my broken wipers and got me back on the road in a few hours. I decided to try this shop after I hit a deer for the first time. Ive never been in an accident before and I was very cautious about what to do and where to go. The staff here walked me through everything, gave me a thorough explanation whenever I had a question, set me up with a rental car easily, and genuinely cared. The customer service is amazing. They even let me come in on a Saturday morning to get something out of the car while it was being worked on. They made my insurance company write another check for an appropriate part when the first was not a good fit for my vehicle. I will be strongly recommending them to anyone and I will be going back whenever it is needed.

I had hit an object in the road last Tuesday and had damage to my wheel/tire and some paint damage under the door on my 2018 accord . I went here to get the estimate done for my insurance and was planning to have the work done at the dealer I had purchased the car from. After a few minutes taking with the owner I realized how great of a shop I had walked into and considering they are certified Honda and Acura repair shop I decided to have the work done here. Everything was no hassle and my car was detailed inside and out when I picked it up. Do yourself a favor and go see Colby if you need some work done right . There are still businesses out there that take care of you and do it the right way and Colby is a perfect example of that. I will surely go back if I need something taken care of and will gladly recommend.

He got an estimate together while I waited and quoted me a very fair price for the work. Great shop. Not only did they fix my SUV so it was not even noticeable it was hit but they cleaned/washed/vacuumed/polished it inside and out so it looks as if brand new. Very satisfied.

Everyone I dealt with at Colby was very friendly and professional. Better yet, their work done to my Honda CR-V was done in half the time estimated by my insurance. They are so welcoming. The receptionist aways has a smile on and greets you as soon as you walk in. Colby worked on my car two separate times and both times I left very happy. I was so stressed about my car being wrecked and even over the phone they were so helpful. If the receptionist didnt know the answer to my question she didnt hesitate to have one of the mechanics come to the phone. I know nothing about cars and they were all a huge help. Very professional! Excellent work! Made my car look brand new again!! Fixed the scratch, buffed and shined it up. Shine was so good it lasted through a couple rainy days!!! I rented a car from enterprise up the road from Colby’s and was worried about how I was gonna pick up my car and take the rental back, no problem at all... Colby took care of that problem for me. I was able to leave the rental with them, pick my car up and go home. I called Enterprise, they cashed me out over the phone and Colby’s took care of the rest. I definitely recommend this place!!!

Havent had an accident in about 20 years, but in the space of 2 months I had someone back into my passengers side door, and then two months later I got rear ended. Colbys is a great place to bring your old or new model car to get fixed. Great, hard working people work here and it is a great local business to support. Even if you dont want to bring your car back to a dealership, Colbys will do their best to help you or at least point you in the right direction.

My rear bumper and quarter panel was hit by snowplow this past winter and they did a fantastic job replacing it in a very timely manner. Very nice, sincere, and professional, too. Would definitely come back :)

I have been to Colby for two separate issues within the last year. Both times, Clint has been exceedingly helpful. I crashed my car back in April and it went to a shop in Hudson. I got it back with a total alignment issue and many other problems that just weren’t getting fixed properly by them. My car then went to a VW dealership so they could look at my car and they still couldn’t find an issue with it. After months of dealing with this, my insurance company told me to just find a shop that can fix my car. My friend suggested Colby body and it’s a great thing he did. After months of driving a car that i didn’t feel safe in, my 2018 VW Tiguan finally drives straight down the road. The owner Clint was so friendly and knowledgeable and broke everything down to me that was being done with my car. Him and his team are great and i couldn’t be happier with them. Thank you!

Brought my 2012 truck here for rust in the fender well. I talked with one person they said 800 then said maybe more like 1200 I said ok thats fine. He said well its going to rust again and you should just put fender flares on and just let it rust, You wont see it for a few years. this place is a joke.They only want to do full restorations or insurance work. I would not bring anything here.

I needed break work done on my car, and although the name would imply they only do work on the body /fender of a car, I had heard multiple good things about previous customers experiences and decided I would give them a try. Clint worked hard to find a cost effective solution to my break problems, and did his best not to replace anything that didnt need to be. (I had been pumping my breaks for almost 2 months before going in, but put off having work done on them because money was tight (Stupid, I know)) They kept me updated over the course of the repair, and always made sure to explain in great detail why they were doing something that would cost me money before they did it.I have had many bad experiences with mechanics and body shops, and to me trust is everything. For that reason whenever I need work done on my car, I will be heading over to Colby.

My father was in an accident over the winter which required a new rear bumper for his Subaru. Clint the owner was able to work with my fathers insurance company to install Subaru parts on his car. He was in and out in two days and couldnt be happier. Now unfortunately he was backed into again, and we will be traveling from Poughkeepsie to have Clint fix it once more!

The experience I had at Colbys was the best out of any mechanic or auto body shop Ive been to. Theyre extremely nice and understanding, even gave me a ride home and offered lunch after my car got towed to their place!

Stopped by & asked Clint to take a look so we could make an appointment to get it fixed & a quick 5 mins later we were out with no major repairs needed! Auto body shops either work for the customers or for the insurance companies. The shops that low ball work for the insurance companies get their referrals, and they become their preferred partners. Think about it, are the insurance companies going to refer you to the places that do best jobs ( most expensive)? Of course not.The quote that I got from Colby was nearly 1/3 of the reimbursement that I got elsewhere. Colby wanted me to pay for half of the accident. LMAO. Wow. It was like dickering with the insurance adjuster at Progressive.

I brought my Honda Civic in was in an accident. I was initially told the job would be about $3,500. When I went back in they told me it would be $9,000. I ended up getting it fixed for $3,350 at another shop
