We rented sand boards from their location and it was super convenient to the dunes. We were able to return them later after hours at a local hotel for no additional cost! It was great to play on the dunes as the sun was setting without worrying about late fees. The staff was so friendly and let us refill our waters before heading out. They made us feel at home in their shop even though we were out of town guests.

They rented us some pretty cool sand boards and sand sleds! We had lots of fun! Only complaints I have are the odd store hours.

The rental sled was a blast. Walking up the sand hills was killer. Lol

Great selection! We rented a sand board from their super-friendly staff for $18 and had the option to return it back to the store before they closed at 5 or to the Fairfield Inn around the corner if it was after hours. Couldn’t be easier!

And thank goodness they talked this outta shape 49yo woman into some oxygen, I kept up with all the others as we swished swashed up to 10,700ft!!! And that was over 1000ft from parking, super proud of and and VERY grateful for the staff!

Finally: comfortable ski boots! Eric spent over an hour with me getting just the right ski boot/fit and explained the details of getting a proper fit along with performance. After renting ski boots At the ski areas over the last couple of years I was so tired of uncomfortable fits that I decided to buy boots. So glad I did. Thanks Kristi’s and Eric for getting me a proper boot and fit. Skis next year.....

Thanks to Kristi’s rentals my wife and I had an awesome afternoon sledding and sand boarding the dunes. Their equipment was in perfect condition and worked great and the staff was extremely helpful with plenty of tips for a great ride. Thanks again guys!

Convenient location with incredibly helpful and knowledgeable staff. Reasonable prices for full day rentals on sandboards and sleds (a must-try for the dunes even if you wipe out a bunch of times and get sand in places you didnt know you had). Even though I wasnt shopping for it, their selection of outdoor gear was huge!

I can’t give enough stars to the peeps working at kristi mountain sports. I originally went to see about renting boards for the great dunes park, and they were sold out. We then proceeded to tool around town on our bikes, which lasted an hour before all four tires on our bikes went flat, due to the lovely thorns we thought we left behind in Arizona!! The guys at Kristi were able to help us out quickly as they knew we were only in town for a short time. They did things to our electric bikes, that have never been done since buying them. Went above and beyond...plus we got our boards to go to the dunes. Can’t recommend them enough!!

We started by just renting Sand Sleds for the Dunes from Kristi Mountain Sports because they were close to our hotel. Our kids didnt enjoy the sleds as much as we thought so we asked for a refund on our rental for the next day. They couldnt offer a refund because of so many people who they had turned down for sleds while we were out, however they did give us store credit for the full amount of the next day.The staff is also very friendly and knowledgeable on local mountain bike trails. On my second to last day in town I had a problem in my mountain bike chain. Eric went above and beyond to figure out the problem and stayed late to fix my bike so it would be ready when I was heading out of town for the rest of my vacation the next day. He also gave my a mini-tune up for free as he was diagnosing the problem. My bike worked great the rest of the trip!

The perfect place to rent a sled or sand board for great sand dunes national park. We paid $18 per sled per day which is reasonable and well worth the money. Super friendly staff, everything was explained in detail.

The staff is great, they know their product and make good recommendations. I was headed to Wolf Creek to do some skiing, wanted to replace my boots, and their recommended pair was spot-on. They also have a decent selection of rentals if you want to try something new -- again, after talking with me and understanding how and what I ski now, I came away with two pair to try -- and now, for next season, I know where to aim when looking to buy.Good people, great service -- and not just for skiing. They also have a nice selection of backpacking and other outdoor sport gear.Strongly recommended.

I was planning on deleting the response this morning when I found the paper stashed away, but to answer your response, no I didn’t receive a paper with my board, you gave one to my friend while I was in the bathroom so I never knew you gave us instructions. I’m sorry that I didn’t know about that. So between it not being in the tutorial, not having good internet connection to see the video attachment in the email, and not receiving a paper myself, no I didn’t get the instructions to wax after every run. And yes I read your full email to make sure I followed all your guidelines, but the video did not work when I tried to open the link.

Their bike mechanics accommodated me immediately when I needed help during my ride on the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route. I was back on the trail in a matter of hours after experiencing mechanical issues. Not only did they get my bike back to performing like it did the first day it rolled out of the shop, but they also explained every single adjustment they made and even fixed some of my other gear that had taken a beating. Couldnt have asked for anything more.

We stopped here to rent our sandboarding stuff. Super informative and helpful staff. I like this kind of store anyway so it was awesome to look around when we took the stuff back. The lady that helped us told me they get very busy when the creek is high at the dunes. I was there when they opened at 8 and no wait at all.

This place is very good with customer service and very helpful to help you find a bike, snowboard, weather protection and so much more. I highly recommend this place for parts but I work on my own ride, so I dont know how long they take to fix certain things.

Ive done business here for 25+ years. Ive had expert staff guide me toward the most appropriate investment whether its a small accessory, a wonderfully-geeky data product, or a multiple-thousand dollar bike or skis. I always know my bike is in good hands when it goes in for service (plus Im happy knowing that I can take it there and dont have to know everything myself!) There are even times when Im talked into buying a lower-priced item because it is the best match for my needs.
