I had been buying my bearings at Akron bearing since I started working on my first car at seventeen; thirty odd years latter, they are giving family business a bad name. Their unprofessional in person customer service is antagonizing, senseless and rude; but, consistent over two different visits with different employs each time. My experiences with Akron Bearing is making me rethink my beliefs of big business, maybe their not so evil, could be saving us from dealing with family businesses when they go sour.

If you need a bearing, this is the place to get it. They are friendly, helpful, and have a huge inventory. For industrial bearings, if they cant find it, its probably not out there.

My family and I have been going to Akron bearing for years. I need a bearing for a custom application and went to see if they could help me out. Then the past everybody had been extremely helpful and would always work with you to find what you need. This time I was mad at the counter by a middle-age man who is extremely rude. When I told him the kind of buried I was looking for and he seen the bearing that I had and he asked what it came out of and I told him a steering column. Without any other questions he decided to tell me how dangerous it was to use the kind of bearing that I was asking for. I chose not to argue with him or tell him that I was using it on a custom application is very rude and inconsiderate. I think this will be the last time I use Akron bearing in moving forward I’ll just shop online like everybody else does.
