This place was great. We had Chuck Miller as our sales person. He was excellent. Didn’t waste our time. He listened to what we wanted talked to the right people and we were driving off the lot within 2 hours. He was also able to find us good financing with not the best credit. Highly recommend him!!

I had a very poor experience at this dealership 3 years ago with first an incredibly rude manager who advised I had no idea what I was talking about when I said I was looking for an Accord Coupe (Honda has never made a 2-door Accord.), and then a clearly clueless sales person.Fast forward to 2021 - I nearly did not go back based on that experience but was looking for a model and trim level other dealerships in the area did not have. So I held my nose and went back. Lucky for me, salesperson Gina was at work that day and single-handedly renewed my opinion of this dealership. She was professional, knowledgeable, and quickly got me into the vehicle I sought. I would absolutely work with Gina again and recommend her to others.

Just wanted to give a shout-out to the team at Great Lakes Honda! I worked with Ashley and Keith yesterday - from the first phone to call Ashley to getting keys in my hand to my Civic, these guys were awesome!!! I sold my truck the day before and I also work from home, so I had no way to make it in to the dealership yesterday. Ashley, Keith, and my finance guy (I can’t remember his name, I’m sorry) didn’t even bat an eye! These guys know customer service and got my deal done without having to interrupt my work schedule or have me worry about finding a way to the dealership! The atmosphere at Great Lakes is open, bright, clean, and welcoming. Everyone we spoke to was courteous and helpful. Our sales consultant Jason was really good about listening to and answering our questions and addressing our concerns. With his help we were able to purchase our new Honda. Jason has also been available to take our calls with those inevitable questions we have had since we got car home.

Keith is a nice person to work with, but like all other sales agents in any dealerships, I could see the sales agents are trying to judge the customers either based on their looks or the way they talk. I would suggest the dealerships to train the sales reps to relive in themselves, be enthusiastic whether or not the customer will buy the car, treat the customers with dignity and keep them comfortable and engaged rather than trying to judge their buying probability. Got a car from the dealership of my choice, but did not get any discounts or any service specials, whereas many other dealerships give dealer discounts, free lifelong oil change services, or other limited maintenance services for free. I paid the amount at the listing price with no discounts or anything but I had to buy everything else, and no service offerings after the car is sold. After I took the car home, I felt I paid few extra thousands, but atleast I got the car of my choice during this high demand time for cars due to chips shortage. I have follow up calls from the dealership for my satisfaction which makes me feel good, but this is too early to give feedback for a just bought car. I hope this follow up continues for couple of months either weekly or biweekly and really addresses any concerns if any from the customers perspective. I wanted to give 5 ratings, but also wanted to be honest from my heart, so giving 4, since 4.5 is not an option. After all there is always room for improvement.

Generally I don’t leave bad reviews... but. Go to Serra Honda if you need your car serviced, friend. They’re a lot nicer to deal with. I’ve avoided taking my Civic here for maintenance for years because I have a bad experience at this service department every time and just did again. It’s still stupid expensive, but if you need a Honda dealership, Serra Honda’s service dept’s customer service blows Great Lakes‘ out of the water. Never had a bad experience with them. Only went with Great Lakes this time because Serra was booked and I needed “expert” eyes to check my car out (turned out to be a giant waste of $150 and a negative experience anyway). Go figure. 2 stars only because buying my car here wasn’t awful; their sales team was nice.

They took the joy out of getting a new car. They added many products I did not ask for. This raised the purchase price $6000. I had most removed but some products were put on before I could stop the process. I was told my payment didn’t change much. I was offered 1000. to just keep them after many hours of being at the dealership. Bottom line they are not transparent and watch every added cost! Finance was rude when asked for explanation. I lost hours of work and no one even said sorry like my time was invaluable. I will be contacting Honda corporate so be very careful of the scam. I was told they do this to every car they sell!!!

Was a great experience, Gina Baldino,was knowledgeable, answered all my questi on, and second thoughts I had, she would explain again,was upfront about pricing(so not back and forth about pricing) close estimate to what was needed as down payment.Friendly and was willing to set up the components of car. Everything that was being done to car time frame was given and stuck to it.whole process took about 21/2 hrs. Everyone that helped with buying process was courtesy and fast.

A very neat & clean place to do business. The dealership is very well stocked. I have used their service department in the past and they always score very high with regard to whatever they repair & fix. Staff all around are courteous and not overbearing. Buying a new car was easy, I did my homework before arriving at the car dealership. They processed the paperwork quickly and had the car inspected and prepped for delivery within a very short period of time. It was a very pleasant experience indeed.

Originally leased a Honda Civic through Great Lakes Honda, now 6 years later on my 3rd car and a happy owner of the 2021 Honda Accord Sport SE. Love the car, love the people. BG was awesome to deal with in making the purchase of a used SUV as easy and quick as possible. Since I was coming from 2 hours away, he sent me photos of the car and did a Facetime session so I can see things in greater detail. This gave me the confidence I needed to make the trip to Akron. He even obliged to my request of the vehicle being washed when I arrived so I could inspect the black exterior for imperfections (which there were none!). I was in and out in under 2 hours from test drive to final paperwork. Thanks BG, really appreciate it!

If I could rate a 0, I would. This is the WORST dealership I have ever encountered. I have tried to get a hold of several departments over the years for various reasons, left messages, called several times in a day with absolutely no response. I can’t get anyone to call me back!! They will sell you a vehicle and then wash their hands of you, no customer service. Do not go here!

Was trying to find a part on a car, Ron who I talked too said he had no pics of the part, no sizes, nothing. All he had was a part number? Said he had been working there for 10 years + and couldnt even go in the back and find a catalog or google the part at all and find the info I was looking for, no. All he said was I had the part number, you can look it up yourself but Im not doing that worst service Ive ever had. When I can go to Oreillys and get the more info on a part from them, theyll even google anything you need to know if they dont have the info. I was happy with my purchase, the process while at the dealership went well. My salesperson BG was excellent. Johnny in finance did great. But there was one thing. A week later, I was contacted by my salesperson saying they needed my account number on the vehicle I traded. The next day I stopped in and gave it to Johnny in finance. A day or two later, I was called again by my salesperson for the account number. I explained that I already gave it to Johnny. So while outside painting yesterday, I get a disturbing unprofessional call from Ashley (about what else? The account number). Right away she is talking at me with no pause. Shes telling me account number that I gave my salesperson was wrong... I trying to simply say that Johnny in finance should have the correct number, but I cant because she wouldnt stop talking. I say to her, you guys need to work on the communication piece over there. Well that did it! She proceeds to lecture me, not listen to me at all. I finally told her, you need to chill the hell out. She goes in further about how she doesnt have to payoff the balance on the vehicle I traded... So I hope the call was recorded for quality assurance, because it needs to be heard. For the record cc Mr. Lake, communication there does need to be addressed.

I bought two vehicles from here, paid one off. Second one bumper to bumper warranty. Tire pressure sensor went out which was covered and they told me they cant fix it I have to take it to another dealership. Said they dont work on my type of car which is an Acura. Made by Honda same parts. After going back and forth for 2 days an Acura dealership Sarah Acura finally fixed it for me. Out of pity. Why sell me a car and warranty and then tell me you cant work on that car? And to top it off I called the number on my warranty papers the guy said I had to send them money sounded like a straight scammer no way was he getting my credit card number.

First time buyer from Great Lakes Honda and couldnt be more happier. Extremely friendly customer service. Quick response times. Huge inventory and very helpful. I drove three hours away to pick up my car. In the process I got three miles away from dealership and the car I was driving there broke down. After buying the other car they were helpful and let me use tools to fix my car after business hours. Two days later they called me to check up on me to see if I made it home that night. You dont get that kind of service nowhere. I will be back for sure.

This has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Not just at any dealership but at any place I have ever done business at. I picked out a car and had an appointment to pick it up. When I get there they told me that they sold that one but that they have another one but I can’t drive it off the lot during my test drive because it doesn’t have a lot of gas… they only gave me one key for the car and they said they would mail the registration to me. Two months and counting and never got another key or registration. After continued calls I am told that the guy who sold me the car wrote down the milage wrong… and that I am the one who now has to call Honda to get my registration? I will never get another car from them again. Bad experience all the way around.

This is a modified review meaning the first review was a one star, let me explain.. I originally came to great lakes honda to purchase a vehicle after test driving it. We recently got my daughter a car from there and it turned out to be a great vehicle. Due to some unusual circumstances, and slight miscommunication, the vehicle I tested was no longer available. I was immediately contacted by the GM who went way above and beyond to rectify a frustrating situation. He was very accommodating and even kept contact with me through his entire out of state vacation to make sure I got the car I wanted and needed. In the end he, along with one of the sales reps, was able to get me into an equally nice if not better car than the original one I was purchasing and at a lower price. Its amazing to see the dedication that the employees at GLH all seem to have, that can be a rare thing. I work third shift and so I operate weird hours of the night and my late night questions about inventory availability were always answered immediately. Im very thankful to everyone at Great Lakes Honda for helping to get things sorted out and get my family and I into safe and reliable cars. I look forward to doing future business with them and referring friends / family.

Got pre-approved to buy a car. Went 2 hours before closing and no one said a word to us. Was able to sit in the vehicle on the show room floor and walk around the lot to look at cars we were interested in. Was at the dealership for 40 minutes and no one talked to us. Had several employees walk past us as we were sitting in the vehicle and as we were walking around it. Ended up getting fed up with the rudeness and left.

Took vehicle for air conditioning issue. Was told upfront that Honda has warrentied air condensor for 10 years and it sounds most likely the issue and it would not be a charge.A few hours later received call that ita a bad compressor seal and Honda wouldnt warrenty that part and repair would cost $1800. He also stated there is a $232 charge if I dont do the repair.After telling him no to the repair, he stated the coolant should last 6 months to 1 year. I paid the paid the $231 b.s. fee only to have the air hot like a heater. They are liers&crooks, stay away from great lakes honda. Also, why would honda not warranry a failed ac compresser? Beware because this is going to be a issue on Civics, mine is a 2017. All they care about is taking your money and nothing about the cutsomer.

High pressure sales. Optional services like $600 super duper special coming for exterior and interior (xa- same coming for both), nitrogen in tires ( air by the way it is 80% of nitrogen) selling like must buy. Everyone pays for it, that way we sell cars. I try to opt out of this scam and salesman cut of the deal and ask me to leave dealership. Nice service and way to go. Went to Jay Honda of Bedford and buy car without any NITROGEN smooth ànd easy. Got better deal on upscale model and pay fat down-payment in cash. So if you need car with banana oil smell or nitrogen in tires, Great Lake Honda way to go. Do not forget about optional reverse transmission and flower on antenna.

Please read the whole review.... I bought a new car in 2012 from Great Lakes. I was surrounded by sales people trying to push me in to the sale, but I knew the sales manager at the time and I was going to buy the car when I walked in. This spring I went in to give them another try and I told the sales person right off that I would not tolerate any sort of sales pressure. He said he understood, but when I didnt agree with his deal he had to go get his sales manager and it was deja vu all over again, but this time I walked out before the shenanigans.....I am adding to this review. I just spoke to Gavin Lake, as he requested below. Mr. Lake understands customers and how business works. I was able to get a better understanding of things and I volunteered to come back in this Saturday to look at some vehicles. I am looking forward to it.
