They where having free comic day when i Went.The shop was clean, well lit, and beautifully organized. The staff was so polote and engaging while still giving ample space for the hyperfocsed hunter. 10/10 would go back. AND THE PRICES ARE SOOOOO CHOICE!!!

This place is amazing. Im lucky I didnt get my paycheck yet or I would have definitely spent all there.

Great shop really know their comics. My son wanted to start getting into comics they took their time and talk to him, really help him find books he loved. Thank you for such amazing experience.

One of the oldest and best comic book shops in town definitely worth the drive even if you have to go out of your way to get to their location downtown Akron

This is a real cool place and the owner is very knowledgeable about his stuff. I also saw a lot of cool Star Wars toys and action figures.

Very cool place. Very helpful staff. I started going there after new ownership took over the store. Its kind of hard to get down there due to Im not in the Downtown Akron area that often anymore. They have a live Facebook claim sale show on Sundays and Wednesdays where they sell Funko Pops, comics, and other items. Also, ask them about their Team 25 perk.

My first time in there. The 2 guys working was really nice and helpful. Clean and well organized especially compared to some comic stores Ive been in. Plus a nice variety of merchandise for any age. I will definitely be a regular customer. This is a place to definitely check out.

I just came in to see the rubber city comic shop and all it’s majestic glory and man was it a let down....Hardly any new books on the shelves and the items looked so old...I picked up a couple of books and the guy behind the counter (bald guy glasses Velcro shoes) could have cared less about my business...he didn’t ask if I needed help with anything and he wouldn’t end his conversation with one of his buddies long enough to tell me the total or even thank me for my business. So my advice take your money somewhere else where you might be appreciated a little more....came all the way from Pennsylvania too....

Great service and comic collection

First time my son and I found a comic store in our area, it was fun introducing him to some of the fun and joy I had reading as a kid!!.

Has a great selection of comic books. It doesnt only have comics, but it also has figurines, and other types of collectibles. The selection varies from different types of providers and they do have new comics every week. One of the great things about this store is that they let you sell from your collection from there store, and they take a certain amount of the money after you have sold a comic. It is a great place and I have found a lot of the comics that I have wanted.

A bit overpriced.

What a great place. Real honest people and happy to help. They were voted best comic shop in Akron two years in a row for a reason.

I had emailed Rubber City Comics few weeks ago asking for a specific comic. Chris was really helpful. He had offered to order the comic for me and would let me know when it would arrive. Chris did just that and emailed IMMEDIATLEY when the comic came. Only thing I wish was Chris was there so I could thank him person. I will be coming here more often.

Youll see silver/bronze books at 6.5 grade pricing with spines crushed or books stored bent in a U shape..you gotta wonder if actual grading is being done..Allot of unboarded or not even bagged back issues.Not for a serious collector.
